I was worried that I might not make it to the end since it was a long journey, but I was blessed with good weather and was able to see the magnificent Jomon Sugi with my own eyes. Seeing it in person is truly overwhelming. The day, while being healed by the streams and the green moss along the way, was a precious experience that is hard to put into words.
Although I am a trekking beginner, I believe I was able to see it safely thanks to the guide's advice and consideration. Thank you very much.
長時間なので最後まで辿り着けるか心配でしたが、天候にも恵まれ壮大な縄文杉を自分の目で見ることができました。実際に目にするとその姿に圧倒されます。途中の渓流や苔の緑にも癒されながらの1日は、言葉には言い表せない貴重な体験を満喫できました。
トレッキング初心者ですが、ガイドさんのアドバイスやご配慮あって無事目にすることができたと思います。ありがとうございました

We used this service with our family during Golden Week. We were blessed with good weather. Even though the humidity was high, the climate was comfortable.
The five-hour trek in Shiratani allowed us to enjoy various landscapes, making it a completely engaging experience. The guide provided excellent explanations about the trees, birds, and flowers, and took truly dynamic photos, which made it a lot of fun. If given the chance, I would love to request the same guide again. Thank you for teaching us about the charm of Yakushima and for a truly enjoyable time.
今回ゴールデンウィークに家族で利用させて頂きました。
お天気にも恵まれるくらい恵まれてしまいました。
その為湿度が高いと言えども、過ごしやすい気候でした。
白谷の５時間は色々な風景か楽しめる為、全く飽きの来ないトレッキングです。
ガイドさんが本当に良く木々や野鳥、草花の説明をして下さり
写真も本当にダイナミックに撮影して下さり凄く楽しむことが出来ました。

The nature of Yakushima is wonderful, and we were blessed with good weather. However, I felt that the guide who accompanied us often lacked consideration for the participants.
◆ Specific examples
- The walking pace was fast, leaving no time to put away jackets or take photos. It mostly turned into a silent walk rather than enjoying nature.
- There was a brief mention of Yakushima's history and lifestyle at the beginning, but I felt there was too much focus on the guide's self-promotion and criticism of past participants.
- I received no instruction on how to tie shoelaces, use trekking poles, or tips for climbing.
- Since the guide spoke while walking, I couldn't hear what was being said when I was at the back (fourth).
- The focus was solely on keeping up with faster participants, with no concern for those lagging behind, sometimes leading to significant distance.
- Despite the particular danger of descending, we were not waited for at all, and I was left about 20 meters behind. If someone fell behind, they were not noticed. I felt it was dangerous due to the high speed of descent.
- Because the pace was too fast and there was ample time, I requested to slow down a bit, but no consideration was given afterward. In the end, I wanted to walk at the back due to a foot injury, but I was forced to walk at the front and was hurried along.
- There were no words of advice or encouragement for those who were lagging due to injuries; I was simply told to be careful not to fall behind, as it would be a problem.
- Despite having time, we only had a 15-minute lunch break, and I couldn't finish my bento.
- There were times we departed 10 minutes earlier than the stated time, which made me feel distrustful.
- There were many comments that seemed to evaluate participants, which was unpleasant since we were not there to compete (comments about this team being faster or slower compared to others, or remarks about participants' body types).
- There was no warm-up before starting the hike. Since beginners also participated, I would have appreciated some preliminary exercises or guidance.
I believe the presence of a guide for over 10 hours is important, but it seems there can be a hit or miss. (The guides from other teams had a more reasonable pace and appeared to be enjoying themselves.)
Additionally, the rental rain gear was smelly from sweat and was very uncomfortable to wear.

・屋久島の歴史や生活についての話は冒頭で少しあったが、その他は自身の自慢話や過去の参加者の批判などが多いと感じた。
・靴紐の結び方やストックの使い方、登り方のコツなど、登山に関する知識を全く教えてもらえなかった。
・歩きながら話すので、最後尾（4人目）にいると何を言っているか聞き取れなかった。
・ペースが速い人に合わせるばかりで、遅れている人を気にする様子がなく、見えなくなるくらい離れることもあった。
・下りは特に危険にも関わらず、全く待ってもらえず、20mくらい置いて行かれてしまった。後方で転倒しても気づいてもらえない。ハイスピードで下っていくため危険だと感じた。
・余りにもハイスピードで時間にも余裕があったため、もう少し遅くしてほしいとお願いしたが、その後も全く配慮してもらえなかった。終いには、足が負傷しているため後方で歩きたかったが、あえて先頭を歩かされ、無理矢理急かされる形になった。
・足を負傷して遅くなっている人に対して、アドバイスや励ましの言葉が一切なく、ただ離れないように注意する、遅れられると困ると言われた。
・時間に余裕があったにも関わらず、お昼休憩も15分しか取ってもらえず、お弁当を食べきれなかった。
・滞在時間として言われた時間より10分も早く出発することがあり、信用できないと感じた。
・参加者を評価するような発言も多く、競いに来たわけでもないのに不愉快だった（このチームは他と比べて速い、遅いや、参加者の体型が云々など）。
・登山開始前に準備運動がない。登山初心者も参加するため、事前に運動やガイドが欲しかった。
10時間以上を共にするガイドさんの存在は重要と思いますが、当たり外れがあるように思います。（他チームのガイドさんはペースも速すぎず、楽しそうな様子もありました）
あとは、レンタル用品の雨具が汗臭く、とても着ていられませんでした。。

I participated in a canoe tour at Kawahira Bay, which received three stars in the Michelin Green Guide. The weather was perfect, and I thoroughly enjoyed the emerald green sea and nature! I was also able to see the power spot, Heart Rock, and I made wonderful memories on Ishigaki Island. I participated in the Kayak Tour at Kabira Bay that departs in the afternoon. Unfortunately, due to the cloudy sky, I couldn't see the clear waters of Kabira Bay, but I was able to enjoy the tropical trees and coral rocks along the shore! We participated as a family of four with two children (ages 8 and 10). The pumpkin cave from the kayak was mystical and wonderful. The guide was kind and taught us many things. They provided solid support, so we felt safe participating.
In the afternoon, we had our first experience snorkeling. We were thrilled to see a sea turtle. The kids had an amazing time! They also took photos for us.
Miyako Island is the best! Thank you to our guides, Yuuri and Yamato!

Due to the ocean conditions, we changed to a half-day SUP cruise on the Miyara River on the day of our visit. Paddling slowly through the mangrove forest was an emotional experience, allowing us to appreciate the beauty and tranquility of nature. I was hoping to do SUP at Kabira Bay, but due to the weather, we ended up canoeing. Canoeing was easy enough for elementary school students to paddle, so both adults and children could enjoy it. I was satisfied that we could go to an area behind Kabira Bay that is usually inaccessible. The guide was friendly and it was really great.

Snorkeling in the beautiful Miyako Blue sea was so much fun. The guide was very attentive and taught us well. We were able to see sea turtles and clownfish! The canoeing was combined with SUP, so the guide seemed to have a bit of a tough time.

Yakushima is said to have 35 days of rain in a month, but on the day of our trekking, we were blessed with clear skies and could fully enjoy the great outdoors. As a couple in our late 50s who are usually not very active, we had some concerns, but thanks to the veteran guide's time management and the enjoyable conversations with the other four members of our group, we had a pleasant trekking experience without any troubles.
Looking up from the Wilson stump, we saw a heart-shaped view with a beautiful blue sky behind it. When I saw the yellow sign with the number 50, I felt an indescribable joy, and shortly after, the appearance of the Jomon Sugi was truly moving.
It was probably the day I walked the most in my life, exceeding 40,000 steps, and it turned out to be an unforgettable day. Thank you very much.
1ヶ月に35日雨が降る（？）と言われる屋久島ですが、トレッキング当日は雲一つない快晴に恵まれ大自然を全身で満喫できました。
日頃運動不足のアラ還夫婦ですので心配な面もありましたが、ベテランガイドさんの時間配分や同じグループの他4人の方の楽しいお喋りなどでトラブルなく気持ち良いトレッキングになりました。
ウィルソン株から見上げるハート型の奥にはキレイな青空がありました。50と書かれた黄色い札を見た時には何とも言えない喜びがありその直後に現れる「縄文杉」は感動ものです。
おそらく人生で一番歩いた一日で40,000歩超えでしたが忘れることの出来ない最高一日になりました。

The weather forecast was uncertain, and I had been informed by phone that there might be a location change and that I might not see any sea turtles, so I went without much expectation. However, on the day of the event, I was guided by Yamachan, who is knowledgeable about sea turtles, and I was able to see them and take great photos! I also learned various interesting facts about sea turtles and got to see clownfish, which made me very satisfied! They checked on my health regularly, which made me feel at ease during the experience. I hope to participate again on a sunny day next time!

The sunset was incredibly beautiful, absolutely the best! Our guide, Hina, was amazing too!! It was my first time canoeing and I participated alone, but I was able to enjoy canoeing with peace of mind thanks to Hina's careful support and thoughtfulness.
Paddling through the calm river, I felt relaxed yet put in a lot of effort while canoeing. The sunset over the mangroves at Ishigaki was a breathtaking view that can only be seen here.
I really wanted to experience the mangrove canoeing, so I made a last-minute reservation for a ride and joined in the afternoon. During the ride, Hina shared a lot of information about Ishigaki, and I was able to chat and exchange information with the other participants.
It was so much fun! I'm really glad I could participate!

The quality of the drone footage is amazing, and even now that the trip is over, I keep replaying it multiple times! I can take as many photos from my perspective as I want, but having someone capture the places I enjoyed from an aerial view is the best souvenir of all. This time, I finally hiked to Jomon Sugi. I was a bit worried about my physical stamina, but the weather was favorable in the first half, and I was able to complete the hike safely. I think it's a great challenge to try at least once in a lifetime!

I didn't rent a car, so it was great that they provided transportation to near the hotel where I was staying, and the facilities at the store and on the boat were very well-equipped. Although it was unfortunately cloudy, the water temperature was just right, and the sea was clear, allowing us to encounter turtles, which was truly moving! It was my first time in Kamikochi, and it truly lived up to its reputation as a famous scenic spot in Japan. Thank you to both the driver and the guide for their hard work. They were very skilled, which made me feel at ease during the trip. I definitely want to use their services again. There were mostly foreign tourists, but thanks to the guide's instructions, it was a good trip where everyone followed the rules. In fact, it was the Japanese tourists who caused some issues.
初めての上高地♪さすが日本の名勝地でした。
運転手さん、ガイドさん共にお疲れ様でした。非常に優秀な方々でしたので安心して旅行出来ました。また是非利用したいと思います。
9割外国人の方々でしたがガイドさんの指導もあり。ルールを守る良い旅でした。寧ろ日本人の方の宝が問題発生させてました。

We participated on the first day of Golden Week with our family of three! We gathered at 8 AM to start. After signing the consent form in the parking lot, we were given marine shoes and life jackets, and then we received an explanation before heading down to the beach.
It was our first experience with SUP, and I was a bit worried about whether we would enjoy it since we had a child with us, but the guide was incredibly kind, and I felt completely at ease without any tension! Even my 8-year-old child, who isn't very athletic, was able to stay on the board without falling off even once. The child was connected to the guide's SUP, so honestly, I could just relax and let them handle everything, which was really easy for me as a parent 😂.
It had been 10 years since our honeymoon in Okinawa, and this was our first time in Miyako Island, but it truly became a wonderful memory.
家族3人でゴールデンウィーク初日に参加しました！朝8時に集合でスタート。駐車場で同意書書いてマリンシューズとライフジャケットをつけてもらい、説明を受けてビーチまで降ります。
SUP初体験で、子連れだったので、楽しめるかやや不安だったのですが、ガイドさんがとっても優しくて、全く緊張せず安心して臨めました！！
運動苦手な８歳の子どもでも、一度も落水せずに乗らせてもらえました。
子どもはガイドさんのSUPにつないでいただけたので、正直、全部おまかせ状態で、親としてとっても楽ちんでした😂
新婚旅行以来10年ぶりの沖縄かつ初の宮古島でしたが、本当に良い思い出になりました。

I was able to efficiently tour the highlights of northern Okinawa, including Yanbaru National Park, Asmui Spiritual Hikes, and Cape Hedo. The seafood lunch was delicious and very satisfying. The guide did a great job speaking both Japanese and English. It seems that listening to the guide's explanations deepens understanding compared to going alone. It was amazing to see the endangered species, the Yanbaru Kuina.

As soon as I entered the sea, I encountered the sea turtles I had longed to see. Moreover, I came across three of them, along with large spiny lobsters, sea snakes, and various fish. My first snorkeling experience was amazing. The sky was clear, and it was such a HAPPY experience that it blew away the fatigue from the Jomon Sugi trekking the day before. I'm very grateful for being guided to a delicious lunch spot. Thank you very much! ^_^
海に入るなり念願の海亀に逢えました。しかも、述べ3匹、大きな伊勢海老や海蛇、様々な魚達にも遭遇しました。初めてのシュノーケリングは、最高でした。空は、快晴、前日の縄文杉トレッキングの疲れも吹き飛ぶくらいHAPPYな体験でした。美味しいお昼のお店にも案内していただき大感謝です。ありがとうございました^_^

The veteran guide made me, a trekking beginner, feel at ease while walking! For lunch, we were served miso soup, and it was amazing to eat lunch next to Jomon Sugi! It was a fun trekking experience while also hearing stories about Yakushima!
