Departed from the group bus boarding area at the west exit of Kanazawa Station. On the day, there was a medium-sized bus with a total of 16 participants, including 12 international tourists. The veteran guide's explanations in both Japanese and English were excellent. In Shirakawa-go, we had a leisurely stroll for about three hours, including lunchtime. The lunch menu featured a course meal of Japanese cuisine, including Hida beef. In the latter part of the tour, we enjoyed a quiet walk for about an hour in the Gokayama Ainokura that was different from the morning's activities, making it a fulfilling tour.
金沢駅西口団体バス乗降口より出発。当日は中型バスでしたが海外観光客１２名含む総勢１６名が参加。ベテランガイドの日本語・英語案内は素晴らしかったです。白川郷では昼食時間を含めて約３時間ゆったり散策。当日の昼食メニューは飛騨牛を含めて和食のコース料理を満喫。後半の五箇山相倉合掌作り集落では約１時間を午前中とは異なる静かな散策が出来、充実のツアーでした。

Out of 15 people, there were about 4 to 5 Japanese, and most spoke Chinese; it seemed they were from Hong Kong. The driver and guide was also Chinese, but spoke Japanese well. They were quite considerate of the Japanese participants.
The tour proceeded smoothly as planned. I was overwhelmed by the energy from Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

This was my third time in Takayama, but going to Shirakawa-go on my own was quite challenging, so I was drawn to the half-price campaign and decided to participate.
On the morning of the trip, the light rain had stopped, and when I arrived at the meeting place, there was a huge crowd. The Chinese tour guide holding the EASYGO flag was reading out names in Chinese, Korean, English, and Japanese, making it very international. There were only three Japanese groups.
We departed at the scheduled time of 8:30, cruising along the highway while enjoying the view of the autumn-colored mountains, with a break along the way. We arrived in Takayama at 11:30 as planned, and had two hours to explore the town. We went out in small groups. The Miyagawa morning market was still open, so we walked around listening to the sound of the river. For lunch, I searched for a shop that served Hoba-yaki, but all I found were places serving Hida beef and sushi, so in the end, I had sukiyaki at "Yosuke."
The Jinya is a serene building surrounded by pine trees. It is spacious inside, and I was told that the tour would take about 20 minutes, so I gave up and hurried back to the parking lot after buying some pickled red turnips, as we were about to depart. Everyone was punctual and we proceeded as scheduled.
We arrived at Shirakawa-go in an hour, and from the wide parking lot by the riverbank, we crossed a suspension bridge into the village. The somewhat autumn-colored mountains and the flowing river made for a beautiful Japanese satoyama, and many foreigners were busy taking photos, creating quite a crowd. Gohei-mochi and ice cream were also popular.
Walking along the paved path surrounded by autumn flowers and pampas grass, we reached an open observation deck after about 20 minutes of walking up a steep slope. The view of the gassho-zukuri houses spread out below was magnificent. After descending the mountain, I visited the Wada House (400 yen). It was a splendid three-story structure, and climbing the steep stairs led me to the second floor. The blackened pillars, smoked by the irori, and the impressive way the ropes tied the pillars together were remarkable. The autumn scenery visible from the window was something I could have gazed at forever.
As the sun set, we safely arrived in Nagoya before 7 PM. The explanations over the microphone were in Chinese, then English, and then Korean, but the tour guide personally provided detailed explanations to the Japanese participants, which was very helpful. We were on time and caught the return Shinkansen, enjoying a comfortable autumn day. Thank you very much.

当日の朝は、小雨も上がり、集合場所にいくと、大変な人混み。
EASYGOの旗を持つ中国人の添乗員さんが名簿の番号
を読み上げるのは、中国語、韓国語、英語、日本語と国際的。
日本人は三組だけでした。
予定の8時半に出発し、紅葉した山なみを眺めながら
高速道路を快走し、途中休憩。
高山にも予定通り11時半に着き、2時間の散策。
三々五々町へ出かけました。
宮川の朝市がまだやっていたので、川の音を聞きながら
見て歩き、お昼は、朴葉焼きのお店を探したのですが、
どこも飛騨牛焼きとか握りとかのお店ばかりで、結局「与助」で、
すき焼きを食べました。
陣屋は松に囲まれた静謐な建物。
中は広いので見学は20分はかかるとの事、諦めて途中赤カブの漬物を
買って駐車場に急いで戻ると直ぐに出発。
皆さん時間厳守で予定どおりに進みます。
白川郷には1時間で着き、川端の広い駐車場から、つり橋を渡って集落
の中へ。幾分紅葉した山と滔々と流れる川、
日本の美しい里山に、外国の方たちも写真を撮るのに夢中で、大変な人混み、
五平餅やアイスも人気です。
秋の草花やススキに囲まれた合掌造りの家を眺めながら舗装された小道、
途中からは急峻な坂道を20分ほど歩くと開けた展望台へ到着。
合掌造りの家々が眼下に広がり素晴らしい風景でした。
山から下りて和田家の中を見学(400円)。三階建ての見事なつくりで、
急な階段を上ると二階。囲炉裏から上る煙でいぶされた
黒光りする柱、柱と柱を結わえる縄の縛り方の見事なこと。
そして窓から見える秋の風景はいつまでもみていたい風景でした。
日も暮れ名古屋には7時前に無事到着しました。
マイクでの説明は中国語→英語→韓国語の順でしたが、添乗員さんが。
日本人には個人的に丁寧に説明してくれたので助かりました。
時間通り、帰りの新幹線にも間に合い、快適な秋の一日を過ごせました。

Overall, it was good. I appreciate the tour guide who handled Chinese, English, and Japanese well and provided sightseeing information. About seven years ago, I visited Shirakawa-go, but it feels like the traditional scenery is gradually disappearing. Also, regarding Gujo Hachiman, it was disappointing that there was no guidance about this symbolic place (where they dance all night).

７年ほど前に、白川郷に行ったのですが、段々、昔ながらの風景が無くなっているような感じがします。

I visited Shirakawa-go and Takayama for the first time.
In Shirakawa-go, the traditional gassho-zukuri houses create a beautiful landscape, and I was moved by their harmony with nature. I participated in the tour with my elderly mother. It was a grateful experience to visit places like Jigokudani and the Bear Ranch, which are difficult to access without a car. Most of the participants were of Chinese descent, with about five Japanese attendees. I also think there were some people from Korea and Singapore. It made me realize once again how popular Hokkaido is among foreign tourists.
The tour guide provided explanations about the sights during the bus ride, but since the guide was from the Chinese-speaking region, about 70% of the information was in Chinese. ツアー参加者は、中華系の方が半分以上で日本人は5人くらいでした。韓国の方やシンガポール系もいたと思います。

バスの中で添乗員さんが観光に関する説明をしてくれますが、添乗員さんが中華圏の方だからか、中国語が７割です。中国語、英語、日本語の3つの言語が話せる方ですが、日本語が一番苦手そうでした。
朝、バスに乗り込み最初の目的地に着くまで70分程度ありましたが50分間は中国語を聞いていた印象です。
英語で説明したけれど、日本語では説明しないことも多々ありました。(オススメのお土産や最寄りのトイレについてなど)
3ヶ国語話すので忘れてしまうのだろうと思います。
集合時間についてなど、絶対に必要なインフォメーションは、忘れることなく、きちんと日本語でお知らせいただけます。添乗員さんの人柄もよいです。
ただ、日本語での説明が明らかに少ないため、高齢な母の満足度が下がる場面があり、日本語でも説明して欲しいことを伝えて、サポートするようにしました。
バスツアーに慣れている高齢者とともに旅をする方は、少しフォローが必要なツアーかなと思います。

I had a fulfilling day visiting two tourist spots! On the day I participated, we went to Shirakawa-go first, so the itinerary might change depending on the weather. The two locations only allowed for two hours of free time each, which went by in a flash, so I think it's best to plan ahead for what you want to see. However, I was able to enjoy a fun time feeling the nature away from daily life♪ There were many participants who were not Japanese, but I didn't feel any particular inconvenience! I was able to get a bus ticket to Shirakawa-go, a UNESCO World Heritage site, through advance reservation, which meant I didn't have to stand in line on the day and it was inexpensive! Additionally, it came with an entrance ticket to the Gassho-zukuri Minkaen (the traditional farmhouses), and I definitely want to use it again when I visit Shirakawa-go next time!

There were more inbound tourists than Japanese visitors. The guide was also Chinese, but very kind. The driver was polite and drove safely. Since it was during a three-day weekend, the plan was changed to go to Shirakawa-go first and then Takayama. Unlike traveling by car, we didn't have to wait in line for parking, and we enjoyed two hours of free time at each location. It's perfect for food walking, but if you want to sit down and eat somewhere, you'll find that most places have lines, which can make for a tight schedule. I think it would be efficient to check the places you want to visit in advance. It was my first time in Shirakawa-go, and the faint autumn leaves were starting to appear. Even as a Japanese person, I was moved by the beauty of this World Heritage site! I highly recommend it.

The scenery in Shirakawa-go was amazing! The gassho-zukuri buildings are famous, and in some of the houses, you can actually go inside and catch a glimpse of life back then. This village is also known for its silk, and at the Wada House, tools for harvesting cocoons were on display. The village has plenty of gourmet options, and the beef nigiri sushi was particularly delicious. I highly recommend trying it! I didn't have enough time to explore everything. I would love to walk for more than two hours :) The guide who accompanied us on this bus tour was very kind and surprised us by speaking Japanese, English, and Chinese fluently. The staff, including the driver, were friendly and attentive, which made me happy.
I definitely recommend everyone visit Shirakawa-go and see it for themselves!

Более того в некоторые дома можно зайти и посмотреть быт того времени. Также деревня была знаменита своим шелком. Например, в доме Вада можно посмотреть на инструменты по сбору шелковых коконов. Еще нам очень понравились говяжьи онигири, префектура Гифу популярна этими онигири. Девушка-экскурсовод нам понравилась, она добрая и говорила на трех языках - японском, английском и китайском, что удобно для иностранцев Вообще персонал был приветливым и внимательным. Правда, времени чтобы осмотреть всё нам немного не хватило. Мы бы с удовольствием гуляли и больше двух часов:)
В общем всем советую посетить Сирокава-го и увидеть всё своими глазами!

It was almost an inbound tour, and I was surprised right from the start with two large buses. The inside of the bus was quiet, and the seats were clean, spacious, and comfortable.
Since the guide spoke both English and Chinese, it would be beneficial for participants to have some level of understanding in either language (especially for hearing the meeting place and time).
It was the peak season for autumn leaves, but since it was a weekday, the movement was smooth, and I was able to enjoy the entire itinerary without any issues.
Lake Chuzenji and Kegon Falls are about a 10-minute walk apart, and we had a longer stay at Kegon Falls for lunch, but I was able to take a stroll to Lake Chuzenji during the free time. The hot spring was a sulfur spring, a cozy day-use onsen facing Lake Chuzenji. Towels were provided (included in the tour cost). Only two of us, including myself, participated in the hot spring, while the others explored Lake Chuzenji. By the way, those who didn’t enter the hot spring received castella instead.
Overall, it was a pleasant sightseeing experience, and I recommend this tour.

全体的に気持ちよく観光できて、おすすめするツアーです。

The tour guide was from overseas, bright, kind, and sincerely answered our questions, making for an enjoyable trip. I was surprised to see many other bus tour groups at the meeting place, but I was able to find our guide without spending too much time. There were many international guests on the tour, but the guide seemed to communicate smoothly with people from all countries. The bus ride was comfortable, and I ended up dozing off during the journey. We walked a lot at the sightseeing spots and got quite tired, but it was a fulfilling time.

It was a great tour that allowed us to visit both Gokayama and Shirakawa-go, and it even included admission to the Gassho-zukuri Minka-en. However, on the Sunday of the long weekend, we got caught in traffic heading to Shirakawa-go in our car. In the end, we took a different route and managed to bypass the traffic due to the priority entry for tour buses, but we were stuck in a nearly unmoving state for about an hour. As a result, the tour ended about 25 minutes later than scheduled, which made our return trip on the limited express train from Takayama Station very tight. Given the geographical relationship, it might not have been possible, but I would have preferred to visit Shirakawa-go first.
五箇山と白川郷の両方に行け、合掌造り民家園の入場券も付いてるお得なツアーでした。
しかし3連休真ん中の日曜日、白川郷に向かうマイカーの渋滞に巻き込まれ、最後は別の道を通り観光バスの優先入場によりごぼう抜き出来ましたが、1時間ほどほとんど動かない状態となりました。その影響でツアー終了時間が25分ほど後ろにずらされたため、高山駅で帰りの特急乗車がギリギリの時間になりました。

Since I wasn't familiar with the area, I decided to rely on the bus tour. The meeting point at Nagoya Station was easy to find, located just a short distance from the Shinkansen exit, which made it smooth. There were three guides holding flags for the same tour, so it was a bit difficult to identify which guide was mine.
During the November holiday, both Hida Takayama and Shirakawa-go were quite crowded, but since I hadn't done much research beforehand, I was lucky to gather information about popular shops and photo spots from the people around me.
In the afternoon, around 4 PM, it became quite cool in Shirakawa-go, and as it got darker, I felt that the two-hour sightseeing time was perfectly calculated. In Shirakawa-go, a local resident runs a dango shop, and there were places not listed on the map we received on the bus. 土地勘のない地域なのでバスツアーに身を委ねました。名古屋駅の集合場所もわかりやすく、新幹線から降りてすぐのところだったので、スムーズでした。同じツアーか、目印の旗を3人のガイドさんが持たれていたので、自分がどのガイドさんなのかは分かりにくかったように思います。
11月連休で飛騨高山も白川郷も混み合っていましたが、あまり下調べなく向かったため、人気なお店や映えポイントなど、周りの人から情報収集できてラッキーでした。
午後は4時ごろかは白川郷ではかなり涼しくなり、薄暗くなったので、観光時間2時間のセットは計算されたベストな時間に思いました。白川郷では住人の方が団子屋を営んでいて、バスで頂いたMAPにないお店も。みたらし団子ばかりですが、しょっぱかったり、甘めだったり、違いを楽しむのもまた良かったです。名古屋駅までの帰りのバスでは皆さん爆睡。トイレ休憩1回して、2時間半で名古屋に到着、すぐに夕飯。バスに身を委ねて快適な一日を過ごせました。
