The day arrived with a lot of anticipation, especially since there was a rain forecast the day before.

Since it's Miyako Island, the stars are beautiful no matter where you look, but the spot where we took photos felt exceptionally stunning! The Milky Way, which was not visible near the hotel, was clearly visible, and we were able to see shooting stars right away.

The staff were very kind, sharing recommendations for spots on the island and suggesting great poses for the photos.

At first, I thought they might be adding wings to the photos later on...

But during the shoot, they used a penlight to draw in the air right there, and we took the photos together.

Wait, can you really create beautiful wings like that!?
I was surprised, but when I saw the photos, I was extremely satisfied and even more amazed.

While the weather can vary from good to bad, and the location can be a bit tricky to find, I highly recommend it!

前日雨予報もあり、かなりソワソワしながら当日を迎えました。

宮古島なのでどこで星をみても綺麗なんですが、撮ってもらう場所はダントツで綺麗に感じました！
ホテル付近では見えない天の川がしっかりと見え、流れ星もすぐみる事ができました。

スタッフさんもとても親切で、島のオススメスポットを教えて下さったり、オススメポーズを指示して下さいました。

写真に羽を後から書いているのかなーと初めは思っていたのですが、、、

撮影してる時にペンライトを使ってその場で宙に書いて、一緒に撮影して下さいました。

え、そんなので綺麗な羽が出来るの！？
と、驚きましたが、写真を見てとても満足のいくもので更に驚きました。

天候によって良い日悪い日があるのと、場所が少しわかりづらいですが、大変オススメです！

The itinerary stated that we would only disembark at the star sand beach, but we were also allowed to get off and explore at Kondoi Beach, where we could stroll along the sandy shore. On the way back, we could spend the time until the ferry departure for free exploration of the village. Although the distance from the village to Taketomi Port is considerable, we were able to take a free bus provided by the water buffalo company. The mini bus tour driver provided thorough explanations about the island, and even though I was alone, I was able to fully enjoy the charm of Taketomi Island.

フェリー・水牛車代込みで島内観光ミニバスツアー付きのコースを選びました。旅程には星の砂浜のみ下車とありましたが、コンドイビーチでも下車観光させて下さり、砂浜を散策できました。帰りは、フェリーの時間までを集落の自由散策にあてることができます。集落から竹富港までは距離がありますが、水牛の会社の無料バスで送ってもらえます。ミニバスツアーの運転手さんの島内説明も丁寧で、ひとりでしたが竹富島の魅力を十分に味わえました。

I participated in a tour that I have used multiple times before because my companion wanted to join. After finishing cycling on Taketomi Island, we returned to the port, and since I didn't know which side the ferry would dock on, I waited. When I asked an employee on the side where the Ishigaki Island Dream Tourism boat was docked, they kept telling me to line up. I asked which side to line up on, but they continued to insist that I should line up.

I noticed that the large travel agency Y was being treated politely, while we were being looked down upon with a discriminatory response that favored group profits over individual ones. Even at the beginning, when we departed from Iriomote Island for the cruise and bus, it seemed that the Y travel group was prioritized even though we were the first to leave. If they had stated from the start that groups with higher profits would be prioritized, I would have had to accept it, but the blatant discrimination was humiliating.

何度も利用しているツアーで今回も同行者が行きたいと言われて参加しました。
竹富島でのサイクリングが終わり港に戻りフェリー乗り場の左右どちらに停泊するかわからなかったので待機していると石垣島ドリーム観光の船が停泊した側の従業員に聞くと並んで下さいの連呼でした。
どちら側に並ぶが聞いたが更に並んで下さいの連呼でした。
初めから同じ行動だった大手Y旅行には丁寧に対応したりしてるのを見て団体の利益と個人の利益を差別した見下された対応でした。
初めも西表島からクルーズやバスなど全て一番初めに出発しても少し進んだらY旅行の団体を先に優先してるのは会社ぐるみの対応だったみたいでした。
初めから利益の多い団体様優先と記載していたら納得せざるを得ないですがあからさまな差別は屈辱でした。

This photo features us as silhouettes with the Milky Way prominently displayed. That day, it became the best photo that could only be taken there. I am truly grateful to the wonderful staff.

It was amazing! I was so moved to see the stars and the Milky Way with my own eyes!

We participated as a family of five. We joined a tour that included round-trip tickets, a glass-bottom boat, and a water buffalo cart, which was a great deal.

It took about 10 minutes by boat to reach Taketomi Island, and we arrived comfortably with hardly any rocking. We first boarded the glass-bottom boat, and the guide's explanations were very thorough and easy to understand. I really felt their customer-first philosophy.

The water buffalo cart tour was also satisfying, with the guide providing clear and detailed explanations. Riding the water buffalo cart while listening to Okinawan folk songs as we explored the island truly made me feel the essence of Ryukyu! It was a lot of fun! ♪

家族5人で参加しました。乗船券往復・グラスボート・水牛車がせっとになったツアーでお得なので参加しました。
竹富島まで船で10分程度、ほぼ揺れもなく快適に過ごし到着です。最初にグラスボートの乗りましたがガイドさんの説明が非常に丁寧でわかりやすかったです。お客様第一主義を非常に感じました。
水牛車ツアーもガイドの方が丁寧で分かりやすい説明で満足しました。水牛車に乗りながらの沖縄民謡を聴きながら島内を回りこれぞ琉球！を感じられとても楽しかったです♪

I never imagined bringing an umbrella for mountain climbing, but everyone should have one. Then there's stamina and strength. The last bus isn't at 18:00; we have to coordinate with the other groups. While climbing, all I could think about was the return bus, and the guide kept urging us, saying, "We are the last ones." Based on my experience at the gym, I probably walk at about 5 km/h. However, if the guide determines that I can't keep up, they repeatedly say, "Please think about the return." I had no choice but to retire. I waited for two hours in the mountains. The guide had six people with him, so I had to wait until everyone else returned from Jomon Sugi. I was told by the guide to leave my belongings at Wilson Stock and climbed up with just myself, so when the rain started pouring, I was at a loss. Naturally, even though I had my phone, there was no signal. This time, I was painfully reminded of my own naivety.

登山に傘はイメージになかったのですが一人に1本あるべきです。あとは体力と筋力。帰りのバスは18:00が最終と言う訳ではなく、他のグループに合わせなければなりません。登り始めるや帰りのバスのことばかり、下山中は「私達が最後です」とガイドさんから何度もせかされます。ジムに通いの経験からするとたぶん時速5Kmで歩きます。でもガイドさんからついて来
れないと判断されると「帰りの事を考えてください。」と何度も言われリタイヤせざるを得ません。山中で2時間待ちです。ガイドさんが6人連れてあったので他の皆さんが縄文杉迄行って戻ってくるまでの待ち時間です。私などは、ガイドさんからｳｲﾙｿﾝ株で荷物を置いていくように言われて身一つで上ってきていたので、雨がどしゃ降りになったときは途方にくれました。当然ですけど、携帯持ってても圏外です。こん回、自分の甘さを嫌と言うほど思い知らされました。

I had never been to a remote island, so I joined a tour.

Since we took the boat and bus multiple times, my elementary school-aged child was getting a bit bored!

I wanted to go at least once, so I'm satisfied with this. Next time, I might just go to Taketomi Island.

I heard from someone who has been there that the bus to the trailhead can get crowded, so I chose this plan. Thanks to that, I was able to hike without worrying about the bus for the round trip.

Also, I realized for the first time after participating that if you walk at a normal pace, you might not return before dark, so sometimes it was necessary to walk at a slightly faster pace. However, our guide observed our condition and led us at a pace that was manageable, so even as beginners, we could follow along with confidence.

Additionally, I felt that leg and core strength is necessary. (It was okay not to have much stamina.) Even younger people experienced pain in their hips and ankles towards the end, so I think it's better to have as much gear as possible to reduce the burden on the knees and ankles. (I used compression leggings to alleviate the strain, and I wore marathon leggings.)

登山口までのバスが混むと聞いていたので、こちらのプランを選びました。
おかげで行き帰りのバスを気にすることなく、登山できました。

また、参加してから初めて分かりましたが、
普通のペースで歩いていると明るいうちに帰って来れなくなるため、
時には気持ち速いペースで歩く必要がありました。
ただ、ガイドさんが私たちの様子を見ながら、
無理のないペースでリードして下さったので、
登山初心者の私たちでも安心してついて行けました。

そのほか、足腰の筋力は必要だと感じました。
（スタミナはあまりなくても大丈夫でした）
若い人でも、最後の方で股関節や足首に痛みが来る人もいたので、
ひざや足首への負担軽減のためにできるだけの装備を
していった方が良いかと思います。
（私は、負担を軽減するスパッツ（私はマラソン用のスパッツを履きました）やストックを使用しました）

The day I participated, it rained 97% of the time, which was a bit disappointing, but I was glad I joined the tour because of the rain.
- The guide gave advice on when to wear a raincoat! The basic idea is to use an umbrella to protect your upper body and a raincoat for your lower body. If you wear a raincoat on your upper body from the start, it gets hot and you won't have the stamina to walk all day...
- For lunch, they set up a tarp to shield us from the rain! It was pouring heavily, and I was wondering how we would eat, but thanks to the guide setting up the tarp, we were able to eat without getting wet! I was really grateful for that!
- The guide shared interesting facts about Yakusugi and Yakushima, which kept my spirits up while walking.

The guide was very cheerful, and I was able to enjoy the walk. I'm glad I signed up for the tour.
(I recommend bringing a simple change of clothes for the return trip, as your clothes will be soaked from the Yakusugi, and you might get cold on the bus!)

参加した日は、歩く時間の97％は雨という日で少し残念だなと思ったいたのですが、雨だったからこそツアーに参加してよかったと思いました。
・カッパを着るタイミングやアドバイスをしてくれる！基本は傘をさして上半身を守る、下半身はカッパがオススメ、最初から上半身カッパだと暑くて１日歩き通すための体力がなくなる…などなど
・お昼はタープで雨よけをしてくれた！お昼はザーザー降りの雨でどうやって昼を食べようかと思っていましたが、ガイドさんがタープを張ってくれたおかげで、雨に濡れず食べられました！かなりありがたかったです！
・屋久杉や屋久島の豆知識を教えてくれるので、元気に歩けました。

とても明るいガイドさんで、楽しく歩き通せました。ツアーに申し込んでよかったです。
（屋久杉の帰りは服がびしょびしょなため帰りのバスで体を冷やしてしまうので、簡単な着替えを持っていくのをお勧めします！！）

The guide was terrible.
While it's nice that they took breaks, they occupied the best spots for themselves and suddenly said, "We're leaving," starting to walk away even if there were people who weren't ready. They kept pestering a young girl about what she would do after the tour...
I think I was just unlucky because the other guides from the same company were all very considerate, offering words of encouragement and checking on the situation.

休憩を入れてくれるのは良いのですが、一番良い場所を自分が占領、突然「出発します」と言って支度が出来ていない人がいても放置して歩き始める、若い女の子にこの後（ツアー終了後）はどうするのかしつこく言い寄る…
同社の他のガイドさんは、励ましの言葉や状況の確認など、気遣いがきちんとできている方ばかりだったので、運が悪かったんだと思います。

I participated in this tour thinking it would allow me to efficiently explore Ishigaki Island for the first time. Although there was no tour guide, there were staff members at each destination, so I didn't get lost.

There were parts that felt a bit like a conveyor belt (it might not be suitable for those who want to savor one place thoroughly), but I think it allows you to cover a limited amount of time very efficiently. During the bus rides and on the water buffalo cart, there were explanations about the island and the buffalo, which were very easy to understand.

It suddenly rained heavily in the mangroves, but that became a good memory. On Yubu Island, we had lunch in the botanical garden and had about 30 minutes of free time for sightseeing. The lunch might be divisive in terms of taste, but I thought it was not bad, featuring local cuisine (perhaps because I didn't have high expectations after reading reviews).

On Taketomi Island, I chose the water buffalo cart + bus tour. I also rode a water buffalo cart on Yubu Island, but it had a different charm. We toured around the traditional houses on Taketomi Island for about 15 minutes while receiving explanations about the shisa and the architecture.

I learned a bit about each island, so when I come back to Ishigaki Island, I feel like I’ll be able to plan my own trips to the surrounding islands. My middle school and elementary school children seemed to enjoy the water buffalo cart the most!

初めての石垣島で、効率良く島巡りができるかと思い参加しました。添乗員はいませんが、船、バス、水牛車等、行く先々にスタッフがいるので迷うことはありません。
流れ作業のように感じる部分はありましたが(1箇所をじっくり堪能したい人には向かないかも)、限られた時間をとても効率良く回れると思います。バス移動時や、水牛車では、島の説明や牛の説明等があり、とても分かりやすかったです。
マングローブでは突然大雨になりましたがそれも良い思い出。
由布島では植物園内でお弁当を食べ、残りの時間30分程度の自由観光がありました。お弁当は好き嫌いが別れると思いますが、郷土料理的なおかずで、悪くはないと思います(口コミを見て余り期待していなかったからかもしれませんが)。
竹富島では水牛車+バス観光を選びました。由布島でも水牛車にのりましたが、また違った良さがあります。竹富島の民家の中をシーサーの説明や家の作り等説明をしてもらいながら15分程度回りました。
各島々のことが少し分かったので、また石垣島に来た時には自分達で離島へのプランニングができそうです。
中学生と小学生の子供たちは、何より水牛車が楽しかったようです！

It was very tough, but the guide shared various stories while we were climbing, which made it really enjoyable! A friend who got tired along the way had the guide stay with them and help them descend, and it seems they shared a lot of little stories during that time, making it a very fun experience.

However, some guides didn't talk much, which was a bit disappointing.

That said, the Wilson stock was really cute, and I truly felt it was worth climbing.

非常にしんどかったですが、登る時にガイドさんが色々お話ししてくれて、非常に楽しかったです！！途中でしんどくなってしまった友達は、ガイドさんがつきっきりで下山してくれて、その間も小話をたくさんしてくれたようで、非常に楽しいものとなったそうです。
ただ、ガイドさんによってはあまり喋ってくれない人もいたので、そこはちょっと残念でした。

ただ、ウィルソン株はすごく可愛かったし、登って良かったと本当に思いました。
