We started shooting around 10 PM!

As we made our way to the meeting spot, we felt a bit anxious walking through the dark path (laughs), but when we got out of the car at the beach, the number of stars was unbelievable!!

We didn't have any particular poses or requests, but the photographer, Tenten, provided various suggestions and directions, which we really appreciated! We got so many wonderful photos taken, and every time I look back at them, I remember the emotions we felt ⭐︎ I highly recommend this experience, so definitely give it a try! ♡

This was actually my second guided tour to Jomon Sugi. When I brought my parents here before, due to their age, we only made it partway along the trolley path and had to turn back, which left me with a sense of regret. So this time, I brought a senior colleague along for a revenge tour.

Since I had only experienced up to the trolley path, the trail beyond was unknown to me, and it was quite a steep mountain path (I'm a beginner at climbing). If I had slipped, it wouldn't have just been a serious injury; it felt like I could have ended up in the afterlife. Finally meeting the long-desired Jomon Sugi was an overwhelming moment.

However, as the saying goes, "Going is easy, coming back is scary." The descent was tough on my knees and thighs, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to hold my ground at times. Despite all that, I was relieved when the other members of our group returned safely without any major injuries. We were also fortunate with the weather.

One thing I definitely realized is that beginners should absolutely go with a guide. I thought the walking pace on the trolley path was quite fast, and we ended up returning around 4:30 PM. Without a guide, I think it would be hard to manage the pacing. They also teach you tips for walking on mountain paths, which is reassuring.

Since we had to pay attention to our footing, I couldn't really take in the surroundings while trekking, but at key points, the guide provided explanations and took photos. It was amusing how, by the end, our unknown group felt like a school field trip. Thank you, Watanabe-san, for guiding us! It became the best memory!

トロッコ道までしか経験ないのでその先が未知でしたが、もうすごい山道でした笑(登山未経験者)
普通に足踏み外したら大怪我どころか、あの世行ってもおかしくない道をひたすら登って何とか念願の縄文杉と対面できた時は感無量でした。
でもよく言う、行きはよいよい帰りはこわいって言いますが、帰りの下りの山道が膝と前ももに着実にダメージ蓄積するので、途中踏ん張りが効かなそうで怖かったです。
そんなこんなで、同じグループになったメンバーも、大きな怪我なく無事に帰れた時はほっとしました。天候にも恵まれたのも良かったです。

行ってみて確実に思ったのは、初心者は絶対ガイドと一緒に行った方がいいです。
トロッコ道の歩くペース結構早いと思いましたが、それでも帰りが16時半くらいにはなったので、ガイドなしだとペース配分が分からないと思います。山道を歩くコツとかも教えてくれますし、何より心強いです😁
足元を注意しながらの移動なので、あまり周りをじっくり見ながらトレッキングとはいきませんでしたが、要所要所で説明や、写真撮影も挟んでくれて、何より見ず知らずのグループが最終的に学校の遠足みたいな雰囲気になってたのが面白かったです。
ガイドしてくれた渡邉さん、引率してくれてありがとうございました！最高の思い出になりました🥰

The snorkeling and mangrove SAP tour on Balas Island was unexpectedly changed to canyoning and a mangrove canoe tour due to bad weather. The Mangrove Kayak Tour was a fun and enjoyable activity, set in a beautiful mangrove environment. The duration was just right—not too long or tiring. Unfortunately, the Blue Cave part was changed to a beach snorkeling spot due to weather conditions, but that area turned out to have a rich marine ecosystem. We were lucky to see two sea turtles and beautiful fish —it was an amazing experience overall. Our tour guide, sorry I forgot her name. is incredibly warm, friendly, attentive, and full of energy.

In mid-October, after the typhoon, it was clear and sunny. I didn't have the luxury to enjoy the surrounding scenery, but I was satisfied to have completed the hike! As a housewife in my 50s, I had been training for two weeks, walking 10 km with a 3.5 kg backpack (500 g on each foot) 2 to 3 times a week, and climbing stairs 30 to 50 times daily. Although my right foot couldn't lift at one point, I was able to see Jomon Sugi and make it back down, which boosted my confidence. By the time we reached Jomon Sugi, my father was completely exhausted and it seemed like he couldn't handle it anymore, which was quite funny. The Jomon Sugi tour picked us up at the meeting point near our accommodation, and we had a guide assigned to our group at the site! We formed a group of seven and made a round trip to Jomon Sugi. The guide adjusted the pace according to our group's level, taking breaks for lunch and restroom stops as needed. Our guide was a veteran with 25 years of experience, and after lunch, he made us coffee. I was really tired, so it was a wonderful treat! The walking speed on the way back was fairly quick, but the timing was perfect, and we managed to arrive at the bus stop before 5 PM!

縄文杉ツアーはお宿近くの集合場所にお迎えに来てくださって、現地でグループごとにガイドさんが1人ついて下さいました！

あとは休憩などはガイドさんがグループのレベルに合わせて、お昼休憩やトイレ休憩など取りながら進んで行きました。

すごく疲れていたので、ほっこりできて最高でした！
帰りの歩くスピードはまあまあ早かったけど、時間配分が絶妙で無事17時前にはバス停に到着することができました！
