After the typhoon passed, we were able to go trekking in the clear weather, and the sunlight filtering through the trees created a beautiful contrast. Additionally, our guide provided detailed explanations of the plants and animals we encountered along the way, which changed our perspective and made the experience even better. There were many things I would have missed if I had been walking alone. By the time we descended to the parking lot, the temperature had risen, but most of the trail was shaded, and a cool breeze was blowing, making for a comfortable trekking experience.
台風一過の晴れ間にトレッキングができて、木々の間から入る日差しがよいコントラストになりとてもきれいでした。また、ガイドさんが道中に出会った動植物を丁寧に説明してくださったのでその視点で見ると全体的に見方が変わったのでとてもよかったです。一人で歩いていると見逃していたものが多くありました。駐車場まで下ると気温も高くなっていましたが、道中はほとんど木陰で涼しい風が吹いていたので快適なトレッキングでした。
本格的な登山道ではないですが石の上を歩いたりするのでしっかりとしたトレッキングシューズを履いた方がよいです。

A typhoon was approaching, but I was able to go trekking in light rain and a gentle breeze. At one point, the sun peeked through, illuminating the droplets on the trees, ferns, and moss, which looked beautiful. Along the way, I was able to see and touch both famous and lesser-known large Yakusugi trees up close, experiencing their immense size. However, it was disappointing that I could only see the iconic Jomon Sugi from a distance and couldn't fully appreciate its size.

The kind older brother gave us many pose suggestions and guided us with "Let's do it like this next!" which was really great! As expected from a professional, we were able to take wonderful photos with poses we wouldn't have thought of ourselves, and we were very satisfied! During the shoot, he also made sure we didn't close our eyes or look away, and after each shot, he would say, "This is really good!" which made the whole experience enjoyable! The photos turned out beautifully, and I was thrilled when two shooting stars appeared in one of them (;_;). In the morning, I did stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) on the Miyara River, where mangroves thrive on both sides. It was my first time doing SUP, but they provided a proper lecture, and the pace was adjusted to match the group, allowing us to enjoy nature at a relaxed pace. In the afternoon, we had the opportunity for serious snorkeling. The route the guide took us on exceeded my expectations. You can receive photo data, but I recommend bringing your own camera. Depending on the weather, the visibility was amazing, allowing us to see deep into the ocean, along with the coral reefs and many fish swimming around—an incredible experience in nature.
午前はマングローブが川の両側に生い茂る宮良川でSUPをしました。初めてのSUPでしたが、ちゃんとレクチャーしてくれますし、進むペースもグループで合わせてくれるので、ゆったりした気持ちで自然を満喫しながら楽しめます。午後は本格的なシュノーケルが出来ます。ガイドさんが連れて行ってくれるルートは期待以上でした。写真データも頂けますがご自身のカメラの持参をおすすめ。天候によるのでしょうが、海の深い所まで見える透明度と珊瑚礁、たくさんの魚が泳ぐ自然を体験出来て最高です。

I was really anxious wondering if there was really a beach in such a place when we headed to the shooting location, but when we arrived and looked up at the sky, it was a starry night full of stars!! It was breathtaking! Afro, who did the shooting, suggested various poses, which really helped us since we participated without thinking much. We also had an elementary school child with us, and they were very kind and accommodating. I highly recommend this tour!

It was a magical world of moss, just as I had seen in photos. I was thrilled to breathe in the forest air and see it in person. The guide explained the formation of Yakushima, its nature, and the Yakusugi trees, which helped me understand the differences very well. It started to rain partway through, but I heard this is part of Yakushima's baptism, so I was able to walk with a joyful feeling. My legs were tired on the way down, but I felt a sense of accomplishment in my own way. I believe this will be a lifelong memory.
