I have been to Okinawa many times, but I had never been to Iriomote Island. Iriomote Island was more of a jungle than I imagined, to the point where I felt a bit of danger! However, each activity was so much fun that it became a lifelong memory. The tour guide was easy to talk to, and they took photos at various spots, sending them to us as an album via LINE after the tour, so those worried about their phones getting wet can rest easy. I think exploring Iriomote Island on your own can be dangerous, so I definitely recommend joining a tour!

It was my first experience with SUP, but they explained everything clearly and patiently, which made me feel at ease and enjoy it! I was able to swim at two snorkeling spots and had a great time! During my first trip to Miyako Island, I was looking for activities and found this service, which I decided to join. The day before, I received an email and a phone call with the designated meeting location! On the day of the event, I checked it on Google Maps and was able to get there without getting lost.

The weather was perfect for the event! In the morning, we did stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). The instructor kindly gave us a lecture beforehand. Even beginners can quickly get used to it and have fun. The beautiful sea allows you to clearly see fish swimming and coral. Plus, there are opportunities for photo shoots at various spots!

After the morning session, we moved to a different location for snorkeling in the afternoon! We were able to snorkel in another truly beautiful sea. We gathered at noon, and the first activity was stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). It was a windy day, so we stayed close to the shore for safety, but it was very relaxing to not only paddle while standing on the board but also to lie down and gaze at the sky. The instructor took some photos for us, and we got to hear stories about Miyako Island, making it a truly relaxing few hours.

After that, the snorkeling was fantastic. Despite the weather not being great, there were plenty of sea turtles, and it felt like we discovered one every time we swam a little! We saw about 6 to 7 turtles, swimming just 30 cm away from them, and it was amazing to watch them eat seaweed while swimming slowly. Seeing a turtle take a breath up close was especially adorable. Additionally, we swam right above the coral reef and saw various colorful fish, and the rain didn't affect our experience at all. The instructor was very friendly and taught us a lot, making it a really enjoyable few hours.

Overall, I’m really glad I participated in this tour.

その後のシュノーケリングも、天気がよくなかったにも関わらずウミガメがたくさんいて、ちょっと泳げば発見！という感じで6〜7匹見れました。もう30cmの距離で一緒に泳いだり、海藻を食べてるところをゆっくり泳ぎながら見れたり最高でした。特に、ウミガメが息継ぎする瞬間を間近で見れたのはとても可愛かった。その他にも、珊瑚礁の真上を泳いで色々な色の魚を見れたりと雨降っていても全く関係無かったです。インストラクターの方もとても気さくで色々と教えてくれてとても楽しい数時間でした。

総じて、このツアーは参加して本当に良かった。

I participated in this tour with my family of four, including two elementary school children. First, I was told that my husband's life jacket had a broken safety belt and was too small for his size, and that was the only option available. I also realized that my daughter's snorkel had a broken mouthpiece after we got into the water, but they said it was okay since she could still hold it.

I felt very anxious because there was nothing safe available, and as beginners, we were quite worried.

On the way from the parking lot to the sea, the guide only happily talked to the mother participating with her child, while two kids around 2-3 years old desperately chased after her. I felt uncomfortable as we followed behind them, hearing her say, "I wonder if it's because my mom is cute."

It's impossible for a 2-3 year old to breathe through their mouth (based on my child's experience), and they panicked and cried in the water while we had to wait for a long time. I think the guide should have increased the number of staff or allowed the mother to take some responsibility since it was clear that snorkeling was difficult for that age group. It was frustrating that the guide was focused solely on them while neglecting the other participants.

In the water, we were told to follow the guide and the mother with her son, who was in a float. After swimming out for a while, we noticed the three of them had stopped, and when we caught up and looked into the water, I exclaimed, "There’s a turtle!" 海でも、浮き輪にした男の子をガイドさんがひっぱりながらその母親と3人で行く後ろを私達家族がついていくよう言われました。しばらく沖へ泳ぐと、前の三人が止まっているので追いついて海を覗くと、「亀がいる！！」私は急いで家族に知らせて喜びましたが、(なぜ私達家族に亀がいるとガイドさんは教えてもくれないのか？) 追いついた時に更に男の子がパニックに泣いていたのは、亀を見せようと、無理じいしたからかな。。。と思い、私達家族には教えてくれないのが本当に嫌な気分でした。
その後、写真撮影を母子から先にするので待っているよういわれ、15分ぐらい？待っていました。そして私達家族の撮影時間は約3分程。「はい、撮れました。では、また後で呼ぶので待っていて下さい。」と言われて30～40分待ち続けましたが呼ばれることなく、最後まで放置され母子につきっきりでガイドと写真撮影をされていて、あまりにひどい扱いにガッカリを通り越し呆れました。
最後に呼ばれるとガイドさんが無言で亀のみの写真をとっているのを待ち、亀と魚の話しを1分して終了。

ビーチへ戻る間もガイドさんが途中大きな珊瑚のかけらか貝殻を見つけたようで、男の子に見せて更に大泣きしてるのが見えながら、後からついていきましたが、うちの子達には見せてくれるどころか、ツアー中一言も声をかけることもない態度にガッカリでした。

フォトデータ20～30枚撮ってもらえると紹介ありましたが、後日送られた写真は、亀のみの真が9枚、３分程でとった黒いライフジャケットを着た映えない真っ黒な４人家族と亀の写真が12枚。の21枚。写真を期待して申し込みましたが、ガッカリですぎました。
私達は4人分も料金を払って終始放置。ガイドもなく、海でも遠くに行かないで待つよう言われ、何十分も亀を見ながら浮かんでいるのみ。
最後も、「お金は先に払ってもらってました？レンタル品を返して下さい」と言われ、返しましたが何の挨拶もなく、私が思わず主人に「挨拶もないけど、これで帰るってこと？」と聞くと、主人がライフジャケットを返しながら「ありがとうございました。」と言ってみる。。。「あ、どうも。じゃ、僕は母子の車にお金もらいに行くので。」と言って走り去られ。取り残された私達はしかたなく帰りました。
当日はツアー中雨が降り出し、だんだん激しくなり、気温も水温も下がり、寒くて大人でも震える程で子供達も口びるが紫になって震えていました。シャワーと更衣室の用意があるとの記載は嘘でしょうか？何の案内もなく帰されました。ひどい雨であまりの寒さにびしょ濡れのまましかたなく車に乗り、車の暖房を最大にして震えながら帰りました。
家族で2万円以上も支払っているのに、記載内容のツアーもしてもらえず、写真も適当でほぼ詐欺です。
こんなにひどいツアーは初めてでした。

Since it was my first time in Yakushima, I decided to go with the classic choice and joined the Shiratani Unsuikyo tour. When I arrived in Yakushima via Toppy, the staff was waiting for me, and after fitting my shoe size, I received my backpack and rain gear rental. On the day of the tour, it seemed that they could pick you up from your accommodation if you were around the Miyanoura area, but since I was staying a bit farther away, we arranged to meet at the Furusato Market. I wore light long pants and a short-sleeve T-shirt, and brought 500ml each of Aquarius and water. We headed to the entrance of Shiratani Unsuikyo in the guide's car from the meeting point, took care of restroom needs, and then set off. The temperature was quite warm, not much different from Miyanoura. The trekking course was lively, and we greeted people passing by. In narrow spots, those going downhill would yield to those going uphill. At beautiful viewpoints along the way, the guide took photos and shared various information about Yakushima's forests and the island's formation. I never got bored during the hike. Yakushima is mainly composed of granite, which has a rough texture, making the rocks less slippery. When we reached the moss-covered forest, we set down our backpacks and enjoyed the scenery and took deep breaths to savor Yakushima's nature. It was a bit chilly in the moss-covered forest with just a short-sleeve shirt, but since I was breathing heavily from hiking, it felt just right. The return path felt shorter than the ascent, but there were still some slippery spots, so caution was necessary. Although we took the same route both ways, the guide shared completely different stories on the way there and back, so I never felt bored. I was also quite lucky to see two Yakushima deer on the way back. The guide drove us back to the morning meeting point, where we returned the rental items, marking the end of the tour. 初めての屋久島だったので、とりあえず王道を行こうと思い白谷雲水峡ツアーに参加しました。トッピーで屋久島に到着した時にスタッフの方が待っててくださり、シューズのサイズを合わせてからリュックや雨具のレンタルを受け取りました。当日は、宮之浦周辺であれば宿まで(?)迎えに来ていただけるみたいですが、少し遠くに宿泊していたため、ふるさと市場での待ち合わせになりました。服装は薄めの長ズボンに半袖Tシャツで臨み、飲み物はアクエリと水を500mlずつ持っていきました。集合場所から白谷雲水峡の入口までガイドさんの車で向かい、トイレを済ませて出発しました。気温は宮之浦などとさほど変わらないくらいで暑かったです。トレッキングコースはなかなか賑わっており、すれ違う人と挨拶をします。道が狭いところでは下りの人が上りの人に道を譲ります。途中途中の景観が綺麗なところでガイドさんが写真を撮ってくださり、また屋久島の森のことや島の成り立ちなど様々なことを教えてくださります。途中で飽きることはありませんでした。屋久島は全体が主に花崗岩でできており、目が粗いため滑りにくい岩が多いそうです。苔むす森に着くとリュックを下ろし、景色を楽しんだり深呼吸をしたりして屋久島の自然を堪能しました。さすがに苔むす森の辺りは半袖では少し肌寒かったですが、ハイキングで息も上がっていたためちょうど良くもありました。帰り道は上りよりも短く感じましたが、ところどころ滑るような場所もあり、油断は禁物です。行きも帰りも同じ道ですが、ガイドさんは行きと帰りとで全く違うお話をしてくださり、やはり飽きることはありませんでした。また、かなりラッキーだと思いますが、帰り道に屋久シカを2匹も見ることができました。登山口からはまたガイドさんが朝の集合場所まで送ってくださり、その場でレンタル用品を返却してツアー終了となりました。普段あまり登山はしませんが、ちょうど良い距離でしたし、ガイドさんの尺埋めトークも豊富な知識あってこそのものだと思いました。大満足です。

前日の夕方になっても来なかったので電話で問い合わせをしました。

人なっつこいウミガメと出会えたので、終始見る事ができて嬉しかったです♡

ＳＵＰを行うのは違うビーチのため、それまでは各自昼食タイムでした。
インストラクターさんのオススメのご飯やさんに行ってみると、ちょい行列があるぐらい人気店でした。
ことらもとってもおいしくって大満足◎

そして、ＳＵＰでは私達とあと１組だけだったのでゆっくりと楽しめました。
いっぱい写真も撮って頂けてよかったです♪
ツアー終了の時に、足や体にかける水を用意して下さっていたのでとても助かりました！

I participated in a reservation on the first day of my arrival in Miyako Island. The weather forecast predicted rain, but it only rained when I arrived at the airport in the morning. At night, there were clouds, but I could still see stars from the hotel, so I headed to the designated beach at 21:10. When I got out of the car, the sky was filled with stars ⭐️. The Milky Way was also visible. I told the staff my name, and after the previous group finished, it was time for the shoot. In addition to the poses we had decided on in advance, we did six shots with recommended poses from the photographer. I arrived at Yakushima on the first ferry in the morning, and since I had already scheduled a sightseeing bus tour, the rental company came to my accommodation in the evening after the tour to carefully check my shoe size and other details.

帰りのバスは爆睡でしたが宿まで送迎だったので楽ちんです。

I did stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) and snorkeling. Both were really fun! The instructor talked a lot with all the participants, and we were able to finish the tour in a great atmosphere. 😊 The SUP was safe because we wore life jackets, so I felt secure even if I lost my balance and fell into the sea! During snorkeling, I saw several sea turtles and got some great photos, which made for wonderful memories. Thank you very much!

I visited the Jomon Sugi, which I had always dreamed of seeing. The scenery along the way was also wonderful, and I was able to fully enjoy the great outdoors. The guide was friendly and had interesting stories, making it a very meaningful experience. The hiking trail was well-maintained and easier to walk than I had imagined. However, despite being prepared, I was exhausted by the length of the journey. I wish I had built up a bit more stamina beforehand so I could have enjoyed the trekking with more ease. We did get caught in the rain, but considering Yakushima is known for its rain, I think I enjoyed that aspect as well.

I signed up as a solo participant. On the day of the hike, there were four of us, including the guide and two others. Finally, I was going to see Jomon Sugi, so I was determined as we started from the Arakawa Trailhead. Unfortunately, it was raining.

After finishing the trolley path, we finally entered the mountain trail. It had been almost three hours up to this point, and I felt that the guide's pace was a bit fast for me right from the start, so I asked to slow down a little. However, I might have been at my physical limit. As we entered the mountain trail and climbed the wooden stairs and rocky areas toward Wilson's stump, I felt a bit unsteady. When we finally reached Wilson's stump, the guide advised me to stop. Not wanting to inconvenience the two others accompanying me, I immediately accepted the guide's advice, returned with him to the entrance of the large stump trail, and from there, I descended alone back to the Arakawa Trailhead. 　一人参加で申し込みました。当日はガイドさん他２人と計４人でスタートしました。ついに縄文杉に会いに行ける、頑張るぞ！と荒川登山口をスタートしました。あいにくの雨降りです。
　スタートして直ぐに右靴底がパカパカ言い始め、そのまま２時間ほど歩き続けましたが休憩時にガイドさんより応急処置をして頂いて再スタートです。
　トロッコ道を歩き終えていよいよ登山道へ、ここまでほぼ３時間、スタート直後からガイドさんのペースが自分には早いと思い途中から少しペースを落として頂きましたが、もう体力的に限界だったのかも知れません。登山道へ入りウィルソン株へ向けて木階段や岩場を登って行きますが、途中フラフラする事も有り、ウィルソン株へ着いた時に遂にガイドさんから中断のアドバイスとなりました。僕も同行の２人の方々へ迷惑を掛けたく無かったのでガイドさんのアドバイスを直ぐに受け入れ、ガイドさんと共に大株歩道入口迄戻り、ここからは一人で荒川登山口まで下山しました。ガイドさんは２人を追い掛けてまた登って行きました。
　僕はその後２時間４０分程で荒川登山口へ無事戻りました。ただここで皆さんの下山を待つ３時間30分程が辛いひとりでした。雨に濡れて寒いし、蚊の攻撃に耐えました。
　今回は縄文杉に会う事が出来ず、旅の目的が果たせなかった事が残念です。再チャレンジを考えもしますが、余命５ヶ月の僕にはその機会が有るのか、体力強化が出来るのか解りません。縄文杉と会って、その生命力を分けて貰いたかったのですが！さらに靴も修理しなければならないですし。ちなみに主治医からは登山は許可されています。
　最後にガイドさんと一緒に歩いて頂いたおふたりに感謝します。ありがとうございます♪

I always use this service whenever I go to Miyako Island or Ishigaki Island! The sea turtle snorkeling was wonderful, as I got to see many turtles of various sizes, which made me so happy. The stand-up paddleboarding experience was different from the usual; it wasn't just about standing and paddling. I was able to lie down, sit, and even learned a bit of SUP yoga, allowing me to freely swim in the beautiful waters of Miyako Island, which was very relaxing. The photos taken by the staff were also incredibly beautiful, and they were all perfect for social media! I especially recommend it for women since it’s great for Instagram. I will definitely use this service again. Thank you so much!

お姉さんに撮ってもらった写真も凄く綺麗で、映える写真ばかりでした！

On July 16, I participated with my family! When I received the confirmation of our reservation, it said the meeting time was 25:10, and I honestly felt anxious thinking, "Is that midnight??"

On the day of the event, I nervously went to the meeting place at the beach. When I got out of the car and looked up at the sky, I was amazed by the breathtaking starry sky! According to the tour company, they change the timing every day to ensure we see the best stars! True to their word, we could clearly see the Milky Way with the naked eye, along with shooting stars. They used a light to show us the Milky Way, which looked like a white misty band among the countless stars, and we took photos with it as the backdrop! It was incredibly magical, and the stars looked absolutely beautiful in the pictures.

I was so moved that I can't even put it into words. Thank you very much!

P.S. The tour guides were very friendly and not only shared about the starry sky but also recommended snorkeling spots and dining places. I definitely want to check them out!

申し込み確定の連絡がきたときに推行時間25:10と書いてあり真夜中？？と正直不安になりました。
当日恐る恐る集合場所の浜へ行き車を降りて空を見上げると鳥肌が立つくらいの満点の星空！！
ツアー会社さん曰く…最高の星空を見てほしいので毎日時間帯が違いますとの事！
その言葉通り流れ星は勿論肉眼でもはっきり天の川を見る事ができました。
沢山の星の中に白い靄のような帯が天の川ですよ。とライトを使って教えて下さりその天の川をバックに撮影！
とても幻想的で星空もめちゃくちゃ綺麗に写ってました。
言葉にならないくらいの感動です。
ありがとうございました。

追伸…
ツアーガイドさん達がとても気さくで星空だけでなくお薦めのシュノーケリングスポットや食事場所を教えて下さいました。
是非行ってみたいと思います！

I thought I could capture the starry sky of Miyako Island with my own camera, so I didn't make a reservation until the day of, but I couldn't take any photos. I quickly made a reservation and participated! The starry sky was stunning, the Milky Way was visible to the naked eye, and I saw many shooting stars! The conversation about Miyako Island after the shooting was also very enjoyable, and I really felt it was worth it. They even chose the best time to see the Milky Way (for us, it was at 12:30 AM), and the photos they took became a treasured memory that I will cherish for a lifetime.
