This is definitely a great way to start your tour in Tokyo. The bus ride over the bridge to Tokyo Bay is exhilarating! Just make sure you sit all the way at the front because the wind on the high way is no joke. There are multiple buses so if you want to see more stuff you can easily switch. The price is about the same if you were to take the underground metro, but you get a guided tour instead on the bus! Thanks for a great experience!!

Nice on a sunny day, but the audio stream is a waste of time.

Easy to buy tickets and very friendly staff, but the audio guide was really uninteresting, almost boring. Often landmarks were discussed after they had already passed out of view. Stops are spaced very far apart, and not necessarily where you would want to get off. It's a reasonable way to spend a sunny day but expect to take the subway to get where you want to go.

The pass generates huge savings for a return trip between Osaka and Nagoya, albeit a limited express ticket is required for both trips. The distance took about 2 hours but time seemed to pass swiftly in the Limited Express train. The only confusion i have with Kintetsu Rail Pass is you don't really know if a particular route required an additional limited express ticket or not. You still use your Kintetsu Rail Pass for the gate entry and need not show/use your limited express ticket unless randomly checked by the train officers while travelling.

Always carry your passport and Kintetsu Rail Pass with you when you are required to purchase a limited express ticket. The ticket sales office will need it for verification and sell you at a discount instead of the usual fare.

I had a great time traveling around Osaka, Nara, Ise, and Nagoya. I even had a chance to take the Shimakaze, although I added a certain amount for the limited express trains. I just booked online then claimed it at the Kintetsu Nagoya station without hassle. I only had one difficulty when I had to change my destination from Iseshi to Ujiyamada station. I tried to talk to a staff in Kintetsu Nara station about it but he told me No English. The staff in Namba Osaka station were very kind to assist me regarding this matter. All in all, it is a great pass.

An ideal bus for quick sightseeing over a large area, but more buses and better audio would be good.

This was one of the better hop on/off bus tours I did in Japan. The timetables were fairly good and there was a good number of stops. Staff were all very friendly and well informed about the bus routes. I recommend doing both blue and purple routes.

On the blue route most people only get off at Tokyo Skytree and it is worth it. However, the next bus is in an hour and then 1.5hrs (2.5hrs from when I got off). I just about managed to get back down within an hour because I bought a fast lane ticket at double the price, because I didn't want to spend 2.5hrs at the one spot.

As they only accepted a printed ticket from their office it meant finding Veltra office. However, I wasted a bit of time in the morning finding Veltra. I eventually found it when I asked Sky Bus Tours office where Veltra was and they said "that's us" - don't know how I was suppose to know that. So you should google map search Sky tours not Veltra.

The most annoying thing about the tour was the timing of the guide audio; it was either interrupted by the next location fact or it'd say "look to your left and you'll see..." and it was nowhere in site. I think this could be resolved if the driver went slower. Alternatively, investment in a better audio system would be ideal judging from other people's reviews.

Kintetsu Rail Pass Card not functioned correctly at some gates/stations

I use Kintetsu Rail Pass to experience sightseeing of inside train transportation of Kintetsu line round trips from Nagoya station to other Kintetsu line stations. I found some gates not functioned my card, i.e. not allowed me to get into stations after I got off. However, Manger of stations checked the card and let me get into stations. The card support me great value.

The bus and the route were good but the commentary was poor. There could have been so much more information provided, about the history of the city, interesting characters that have lived in Tokyo, about the design of the city, about the evolution of architectural styles, about how people lived 100, 200 years ago. I stead the commentary was dull. A pity.

Worth to buy it and save a lot of time

With the pass, the trip from Nagoya Chubu Airport to Osaka was really save a lot of money and our time. Just headed on to Osaka from Kinetsu Nagoya station without worry. However, if you would like to travel from Osaka to Kyoto with Kinetsu pass, the travel duration will be longer and will not worth. That’s why I go for Keihan line instead of Kinetsu. I strongly recommend to purchase Kinetsu pass with proper planning. As it’s really worth for money that you paid and save a lot of time queuing.

We were not able to see the whole of Tokyo. Since they hardly speak english, we missed our bus. And the next bus we had to take was on its way back to our pick up point. If we take another color coded bus, it would be too late for us to go back to Shinjuku where we are staying.

You can save money with this pass.
It's easy to purchase by Internet. Easy to take the ticket, even if you don't speak japanese.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work in Kyoto bus and some litle train lines, like hokusei line.

Best way to see Big city like Tokyo

I must say this was one of the best way to see complex city like Tokyo. It was far beyond my expectations. The route covered was awesome, buses were excellent. This saves lot of time that one would spend otherwise understanding Tokyo subways, finding way to the station and out of station (this is huge concern if you have kids). The flexibility to get down on designated spot and hopping on was great. Only suggestion I would give is like in case of Roppongi Odaiba course, the gap between hop on and hop off is too large (almost 3 .5 hours). If they can shorten this, it will provide more flexibility to hop off at more places. Thanks for the good times.

In this course, I could see the outline of Tokyo.
But it was really boring.
-It was freezing day, so I had an impression that would have been needed something to make us warm, like hokkairo. I doubt the company can't make an effort to let the customer spend good time.
-Audio explanation had often been interrupted before it finished. Automatic audio system seems difficult to function in this type of the transportation. The company should provide the human guide for us to explain.
-The explanations itself were sometimes trivial matters, not essence of things.

It wasn't worth to pay enough for 3500yen.

Bus is always on time and does not stay long at every post. You'll get to every destination without having to worry about the travel time.The audio guide is useful as well since it is in sync every time we approach a certain stop. For a tourist with limited time to explore, this activity is very much recommended!

To be candid, I feel the limited time per location 2-3mins tops (if I remember it right) is too short to fully appreciate the experience. But the good thing about this, you'll be able to visit and take pictures at these iconic places.

Easy to reserve the rail pass online, and then pick up in Japan. Kintetsu Rail is convenient to use within Osaka, and provides access to Kyoto and Nara. If you are limited with time, taking the JR Shinkansen may be better however as it is faster.

Wet weather adventure

I booked the bus for a specific day, unfortunately that day was wet. The bus takes a great route around three different areas. we stayed on for the whole three journeys. the audio becomes a little repetitive when you travel the same roads. However the bus was great you sit up top so that you have the best view of the city. the down side is that if it is raining, you get wet. you are supplied with a wet weather poncho to wear which keeps out most of the weather but they blow around and inhibit the view. If I had of known this I would have not booked a specific day but an open ticket.

i bought the vouchers on line, and was told to exchange for tickets at the office at skytree or mitsubishi building. we walked for 3 miles to get to the skytree office and it was closed. we went to the skytree station as the map told us, but that was not the stop. the bus was good once we finally got on it

Although, it rained our ENTIRE tour, we still had a good time. They provided plastic rain jackets which were great and we just stayed in the bus the entire trip around the city. Because the tickets are 24 hours, we were able to hop back on the next morning and actually see some sites OFF the bus. I forgot to print out my online ticket, but the ladies were able to work with the screenshot I showed on my phone. overall great experience.

It was very convenient that we were able to book this pass even when we were already at the train station. Practical if your trips utilize this line a lot. It would be great if you could retrieve the actual passes in any station in the Kintetsu line and not only selected stations.

Kintetsu Rail is nice, but too bad the pass doesn't cover the limited express. You have to spend A LOT of time on the train to reach the value of the pass. Using veltra and getting the e-voucher was convenient for me, but staff at Namba station REALLY struggled to figure out how to scan the QR code...it took about 30 minutes to redeem the pass...
I think this pass would be best if you are staying near Namba station and want to visit several places in Nara and Ise.
