Junjiro and Jin were our tour guides. They were very friendly and they set everything up for you! Prompt pick up, and they drop you off too. They also drive you to a small but great mom and pop restaurant where they tempura fry the wakasagi fish that you catch. Highly recommended!!!

I usually ski or snowboard, but it's been a while since I've had an experience playing in the snow, and it felt great to return to my childhood! I especially enjoyed riding the horse, the snow slide, and taking photos with the snow sculptures. I used this on the last day of my trip, and it was very convenient as it was close to the airport, plus there’s a free shuttle bus from Chitose. They also offer free luggage storage at the front desk, and I was relieved that I could rent shoes. (I think you can generally participate in most activities in your regular clothes.) The flow was smooth, and I was able to move around quickly, so I even had time to visit the outlet. I'm glad I decided to add the optional activities.

普段スキーやスノボーはするのですが、雪と遊ぶような体験をするのは久しぶりで、童心に戻って遊べました！とくに馬にのったのと、雪の滑り台と、雪像と写真を撮るのが楽しかったです。旅行最終日に利用しましたが、空港からも近く、千歳から無料のシャトルバスもあるため大変助かりました。また荷物もフロントで無料で預かってくれますし、靴はレンタルもできたので安心しました。(服は私服のままでも大体の活動は問題ないと思います。)回転もよく結構サクサク回れたので、空いた時間でアウトレットにもいけました。
思い切ってオプショナルつけてよかったと思ってます。

We enjoyed fishing in a single tent with six people, using the prepared holes. Everyone except me caught more than three fish, but I only caught two, and one of them was an inedible fish other than wakasagi. Haha! I didn't get any bites at all, but since I don't have much fishing experience, I had a great time. I was a bit anxious about handling the large fishing rod, but it was small and easy to operate, so I was able to enjoy it. I was really nervous about handling the bait, but it was very small bugs that seemed to be frozen, so I was able to manage it with less resistance than I had expected. The rental boots made my feet cold, so if you have your own snow boots, it might be better to wear those.

6人で1つのテントで、準備されている穴で釣りを楽しみました。私以外は3匹以上釣れていたんですが、私は2匹でそのうち1匹はワカサギ以外で食べられない魚でした。笑 当たりも全然こなかったんですが、釣りの経験があまりないので、すごく楽しかったです。大きい釣竿などでは扱いが不安ですが、小さくて簡単な操作ばかりなので、楽しくできました。エサを扱うのがすっごく不安だったのですが、とても小さい虫で、凍っているような状態だったので、覚悟していたよりは抵抗なく扱えました。レンタルした長靴だと足の裏が冷たくなってくるので、自前でスノーブーツ等履いてる方はそのままの方がいいかもしれません。

My first time in Hokkaido, and since I was staying in Sapporo, I was looking for something to do around the area and discovered this! I planned to return on an evening flight, so I joined a half-day tour.

In the morning, they pick you up at your hotel, so you can get in the car without waiting outside. This time, we were the only participants, and the fishing spot was reserved just for us. The fishing area was a pure white wonderland! They take memorable photos with the great nature in the background. The guide was right there with us, explaining the timing for fishing in detail. The guide also helped us by putting the bait on the hooks, which was a huge help. We used manual fishing rods, while the guide was using an electric rod and catching fish like crazy. We did our best, but the result was 12 fish for us and 4 for the guide. While we were fishing, the guide made tempura from the smelt right there on the spot. (The guide even let us taste the ones he caught!) The freshly made, hot tempura was incredibly delicious and surprised me. Personally, I found the smaller smelt to be crispier and tastier than the larger ones!

There was a heater in the house, so it wasn't as cold as I expected, but my feet did get cold, so I think it's a good idea to bring foot warmers. Gloves with open fingers are recommended. The guide was very kind and a great person, so I would like to use this service again next time.

初めての北海道、幌宿泊だったので札幌周辺で何か出来るか探していたらこちらを発見！夕方の飛行機で帰る予定だったので半日ツアーに参加させて頂きました。
朝はホテルまで迎えに来てくれるので、外で待つ事も無く車に乗れます。今回参加者は私達だけで釣り場は貸切状態でした。釣り場は真っ白な銀世界！大自然を後ろに記念写真を撮ってくれます。ガイドさんはすぐ側に居てくれて釣るタイミングなど詳しく教えて下さいました。餌の虫もガイドさんが付けてくれたので凄く助かりました。私達は手動の釣竿ですが、ガイドさんは電動釣竿でバンバン釣って行きます。負けじと頑張りましたが結果は12匹、ツレは4匹でした。私達が釣っている間ガイドさんがその場でワカサギの天ぷらを作ってくてます。(ガイドさんが釣った分も食べさせてくれます！)出来たてアツアツの天ぷらはとても美味しくてビックリしました。個人的に、大きいワカサギよりも小さいワカサギの方がカリカリで美味しかったです！
ハウスにはヒーターが置いてあるので思った以上に寒くはなかったですが、足は冷えますので靴用のホッカイロを持って行った方が良いかと思います。手袋は指が開いている物がオススメです。ガイドさんが凄く親切で良い方なので、また次回やる時もこちらを利用させて頂きたいと思います。

Since it was a night tour, I was a bit worried about participating with my family (including my third grader), but we had a great time. We were able to borrow all the necessary equipment, like snowshoes, and the kids were excited yet nervous about their first snowshoeing experience, but they ended up walking around happily, so I think it was a good experience for them.

We stepped into the edge of the vast Daisetsuzan National Park, felt the great outdoors, and when we looked up at the sky, it was so clear that it felt like the stars were falling, making us forget the cold for a while.

In the end, we also got to enjoy a hot spring, which made the tour very satisfying. The guide mentioned that many people participate in the tour when they have some free time in the evening, so the convenience of joining is likely part of its appeal.

夜のツアーということで、家族での参加（小学3年生含む）がちょっと不安でしたが楽しく過ごせました。

最後に温泉にも入れて満足なツアーでした。
ちょっと夜の予定が空いたときなど利用してツアーに参加される方も多いとガイドさんが言っていましたので、手軽に参加できるところも魅力なんでしょうね。

I participated in the night cruising at Tokachidake. I borrowed snow boots at the reception and then traveled by car for about an hour to the location. A kind and handsome instructor helped me put on the snowshoes, handed me a light, and off we went!

He explained a lot about the types of trees we encountered. There were many pines, but I thought the leaves looked more like a mix between cypress and cedar. I learned that you can tell the wind direction by the way the branches grow, and that some trees change dramatically over time. There were also trees that smelled refreshing when you rubbed them, making for a very enjoyable walk.

I was impressed by how well the snowshoes handled the snowy paths. The wisdom of people from the past is truly remarkable. We reached the goal by sliding down the snowy mountain like a slide. This area is commonly known as the "Miyama-sama" slope, where trees were cut down for members of the imperial family to ski.

Looking up at the night sky, the stars were absolutely beautiful. After that, I soaked in a hot spring, warming my body to the core. There was also an outdoor bath where the kids were having fun, but it was too cold for me to handle, haha.

I had a wonderful time enjoying the nature of Hokkaido, and it became a great memory. Thank you very much!

木の種類の説明をたくさんしてくれて、松科が多かったんだけど、松と言うより檜と杉の間みたいな葉っぱだなあと思いました。
枝ぶりで風向きが分かるとか、時を重ねると見た目がガラリと変わる木、揉むと清々しい香りがする木などなど、とても楽しく散策できました。
雪道をもろともしないカンジキってすごいなあと感激。
昔の人の知恵は素晴らしい。
ゴールは雪山を滑り台のように降りました。
そこは通称宮様ゲレンデと呼ばれ、皇室の人が滑るために木が切られたんだそうな…。
夜空を見上げると満点の星。とても綺麗でした。
その後は温泉につかり、身体の芯まで温まりました♫
露天風呂もあり、子ども達は楽しんでましたが、さすがに私は寒すぎて無理でした笑笑
北海道の自然を満喫できてとてもいい思い出になりました。

I participated in a half-day tour in the morning to catch a flight in the evening. In the morning, I was picked up at my hotel along with two other groups, and we headed to the fishing spot. The fishing area was already set up, and our guide explained the fishing techniques before we started. I had the impression that I would catch many fish, but in the end, I only caught three in about two hours. Other customers seemed to have similar results, so perhaps it was just a bad day for fishing.

At first, I was only getting bites without catching anything, but in the second half, I started to pick up some tips, and that’s when we wrapped up. The fish we caught were made into tempura and we got to eat them right there. They were simply seasoned with salt, but they were very delicious! I wish I had taken it more seriously and caught more fish.

I was supposed to be dropped off at Sapporo Station on the way back, but surprisingly, I wasn't too full, so the guide recommended a delicious ramen shop and dropped me off there. I’m grateful for that.

It was very cold inside the hut, so I think anyone going should definitely bring "shoe warmers." I saw some in the car on the way back, so maybe they would provide them if you ask? Also, my backside was cold, so if they could provide some cushions, that would be perfect. Overall, it was a fun experience.

釣り場はすでにセッティングされており、ガイドさんにつり方のポイントなどをレクチャーしてもらいスタート。イメージでは、何匹も釣れるようなイメージでいったのですが、結果は２ｈくらいで3匹・・他のお客様も同じくらいだったので、日が悪かったのでしょうか。
ただ、最初はエサを食い逃げされる一方でしたが、後半はなんとなくコツを覚えてきて、、というところで終了。。釣った魚は天ぷらにしてそのばで食べれました。これがただの塩味だったのですが、とてもうまい！こんなことならもっと真剣に沢山釣っておけばよかった・・。帰りは札幌駅まで送ってもらう予定でしたが、予想外に？おなかいっぱいにならなかったので、おいしいラーメン屋さんをガイドさんに教えてもらい、そこに降ろしてくれました。感謝。
小屋の中でしたがとても寒かったので、行かれるかたは「靴のホッカイロ」が必須だと思います。（帰りの車に置いてあってのが見えたので、もしかして希望すればくれるかも？？）あとは、おしりが寒かったので、座布団なんかを用意してもらえれば完璧かと。。とにかく楽しい体験でした。

It was great that the guide shared the names of rare plants, which we wouldn't have been able to identify on our own. When we got close to the waterfall, the guide pointed out, "There's a fox," and when we looked over, we saw a fox quietly watching us from behind a tree before it disappeared into the forest.

When we reached the turnaround point, we hadn't encountered any deer yet, and I jokingly said, "We can't go back without seeing a deer!" Suddenly, a group of five or six deer appeared right in front of us. It was so moving! The guide advised us to approach them gradually, without showing too much interest, and we were able to get quite close. ガイドさんが珍しい植物の名前などを教えて下さるのが良かったです、素人には見つけられないので。
滝の近くまで行った時「キツネがいるよ」と教えて下さり、そちらを見ると、
キツネさんが、木の陰でじっとこちらを伺い、そして森の奥に消えていきました。
折り返し地点まで来て、シカにはまだ出会えていなかったので、「シカに会えないと帰れないわー」とか言っていたら、突然目の前にシカが５，６匹現れました。感動しました～（*^_^*）
「シカに関心がない風に、正面からではなく徐々に近づくように」と教えて下さり、かなりの近距離まで行くことができました。私たちの近くを飛び回る小ジカをじっくりと眺め、写真もいっぱい撮れました。
それから帰り道、私は夕陽が見たかったのですが、ガイドさんはスノーシューを急いで片づけて下さり、途中の岬から、とてもきれいな夕陽を眺めることができました！
シーズンオフで参加者が私たちだけだったのと、お天気にも恵まれ、最高の１日になりました！！

今回体験したスノーアクティビティはスノーラフティング ４輪バギー スノーモービル 雪上乗馬です。スノーラフティングはボートに乗って雪の上をスノーモービルで引っ張ってもらって滑るアクティビティで思ったよりスピード感があってよかったです♪４輪バギーは一人乗りの小さめのバギーで5周回れるという物でした♪操作も簡単で楽しくあっという間でした♪スノーモービルはジェットスキーのような物でバギーよりも操作が簡単ででこぼこの道での走行が楽しかったです♪雪上乗馬はおとなしくてかわいい馬との記念撮影ができて乗馬した時の風景が北海道の雄大な景色が広がっていて北海道らしさを感じられて感動しました♪野生の鹿も見れて癒されました♪本当に楽しくてあっという間で大満足でした♪今回旅行で来たのですが是非また北海道に来て体験したいと思いました♪忘れられないいい経験になりました♪ありがとうございました(*^^*)

On January 7th, I had a fantastic time playing in the snow at North Snowland Inn Chitose! I used a package plan that included snowmobiling and horseback riding in the snow. Even without a car, it was just a 10-minute taxi ride from JR Chitose Station, costing less than 1500 yen. The location of North Snowland Inn Chitose, just 15 minutes from the airport, is perfect. You can enjoy unlimited snow activities! It was a great deal that allowed us to enjoy snowmobiling and horseback riding.

Since it was a monitor plan where two people could play for the price of one adult, we added 2300 yen for our child, and the three of us had a great time for under 6000 yen. We played for about two hours. The weather was nice, and there were no crowds, which made it even more enjoyable.

However, the horseback riding felt a bit short, and I wished we could have walked a longer distance. The tire tubing was available multiple times, and my child was thrilled. But it seems that my son enjoyed the snowmobiling the most. I would love to use this place again if I have the chance.

をりようさせていただきました。車がなくてもJR千歳駅からタクシーで10分、千歳駅からタクシーで1500円かからずいけました。空港までは15分のノース・スノーランドイン千歳で、立地も文句なしです。雪遊びし放題！スノーモービルや雪中乗馬まで楽しめるお得なプランでした。
大人1人分の料金で二人遊べるお得なモニタープランだったので、子供2300円足して、家族三人で6000円かからずに遊べました。2時間ほどたっぷり遊べました。天候もよく混雑もなくたのしませてもらいました。

引馬が距離が短く物足りなさが残りました。
もう少し長い距離歩けたらよいかと思います。
タイヤチューブは何度もできて
子供は大喜びでした。
でも、やはりスノーモービルが息子は一番たのしかったようです。
また機会があったら利用したいと思います

I thought ice fishing would be quite challenging, but this tour required no preparation, making it easy to participate. I believe it's suitable for those who want to try it out a bit or for families with children. This time, there were nine of us in the group, and it seemed like most were tourists from outside Hokkaido. If you're coming to Hokkaido in winter, why not give it a try?

They picked us up at a meeting point near Sapporo Station and took us directly to the fishing spot. They also dropped us off in Sapporo city on the way back (they seem to be flexible to some extent, so feel free to negotiate with the guide). The transportation was easy.

At the fishing spot, the house was already set up, and the fishing holes were already made, so we just needed to dig a little more. The guide took care of this, but you can join in if you wish. I think it would be fun to experience it since you're there.

Since we were fishing inside the house, it wasn't as cold as I expected, but my hands and feet still got cold. Gloves, hand warmers, and warm clothing are essential. ハウス内で釣りをするので思ったより寒くはありませんでしたが、やはり手足から冷えます。手袋、カイロと暖かい服装は必須です。足元が結構濡れるので気を付けてください(無料で長靴借りられます)。希望なのですが、足元に木の板など引いてもらえると濡れなくてすむかなと。後木のイスに直に座っていると固かったので、クッションなどあると助かるかなと思います。
半日コースだったので、釣りのコツを教えてもらい慣れてきた頃に時間切れ。思ったようには釣れませんでしたが、天ぷらは美味しかったです。

This was to be our first experience at ice fishing, and really, we were excited just at the thought of it but were not exactly sure what to expect.

Our little adventure started with a pick-up right at our hotel lobby in Sapporo. No hiccups – the vehicle arrived right on time. A good surprise here though – while it was stated upfront that this would be a tour entirely conducted in Japanese, you could imagine our delight when our tour guide demonstrated that he is more than able to converse in basic English!

The ride to the fishing ground (my wife believed it to be the Barato river) took slightly less than half an hour, and the guide stopped by at a local convenience store just prior to reaching our destination. Here, you could grab some light refreshments but more importantly, make a trip to the restroom.

The frozen lake (or river) was a beautiful sight. Walking through thick snow en-route to the fishing site was an experience in itself. Prior to alighting from the vehicle, the guide made sure that we had the proper footwear on us; I didn’t, and was given a pair of waterproof boots. We got into one of the pre-built tents at the fishing site, and was glad that the guide thoughtfully brought along a portable heater. Not exactly warm and cozy, but more than comfortable enough, even for our 2.5 year old daughter that we had with us.

The fishing session commenced after short briefing by the guide – mainly on how to handle the rod, replacing baits, and the appropriate fishing depth for smelts. You’ll certainly get the opportunity to try putting on live worm baits yourselves during the 2 hour session. It was a productive session alright – we had 4 adults in total and together, we must have caught more than 30 smelts! The guide would fry them on the spot towards the end of the session. Add a dash of salt, and they are a delicacy. Nothing quite beats a hot tempura on a cold morning!

Overall, an awesome experience that we would thoroughly recommend!

I was wondering if I could experience a typical winter in Hokkaido, so I debated between the Asahikawa Zoo tour and this one, ultimately choosing this tour.

When they came to pick me up at the hotel, they were about 20 minutes late, possibly due to traffic.

Since it was a weekday, there was only one other participant besides us. It was nice to have a more intimate experience.

The tour ended early, likely because there were so few people.

Wearing warm clothing and boots, I had a great time trudging through the heavy snow! My grandmother was excited to see such deep snow for the first time, but she mentioned that the snowshoes felt heavy, probably due to her lack of stamina.

Unfortunately, we couldn't see any animals, but the guide provided a lot of interesting information.

Afterward, I enjoyed a warm cup of coffee.

After the tour, I received many photos via email, which made for great memories.

I really appreciate the kindness shown to us!

ホテルまで迎えに来て下さる際、道路が混んでたからか20分ほど遅れてきました。

平日だったからか私たち以外に1人しか参加していませんでした。
こじんまりと行く事が出来て良かったです。

終了時刻も人数が少ないからか早く終わりました。

防寒着を着て、防寒靴を履いてノシノシ大雪の中を一生懸命歩いて楽しかったです！
祖母はここまで積もる大雪を見るのは初めてだったので、はしゃぎましたが、やっぱり体力がないからかスノーシューズは重いと言ってました。

残念ながら動物は見る事が出来ませんでしたが、色々ガイドをして下さいました。

その後暖かいコーヒーを飲みました。

ツアー後、写真をたくさんメールで送って頂き、いい思い出になりました。

とても親切にして頂き感謝してます！

Due to global warming, when I went, the usual spots still had thin ice, so we headed to a different location. The weather wasn't bad, and I tried my best, but I didn't catch anything >_<. I had imagined a more fruitful experience, but since it's nature, there's nothing to be done. After lunch, we decided to give it another try. At that time, a female college student among the participants spoke to a local fisherman who was heading home, and he said, "It's a day when you won't catch anything, so there are fewer fish." I thought that if there were few local fishermen, it might be tough for amateurs, but that person kindly shared some wakasagi with us. Although it was relying on others, I ended up being able to eat wakasagi for lunch. The set meal at the cafeteria was also delicious and reasonably priced. During the second attempt after lunch, we managed to catch one fish each. The results weren't great, but it was fun.

We set off wearing snowshoes in a snowy forest, and it was reassuring that we didn't sink into the snow even as beginners. The guide was very kind and explained various things to us. We saw footprints of squirrels and deer, and I heard the sound of a woodpecker for the first time. The highlight was meeting an owl in its tree hollow. It was breathtaking. It's amazing to see an owl in the forests near Sapporo. I was able to take photos, which are very soothing to look at. It's a tour where you can really feel the beauty of nature.

Went fishing today (March 7, 2016) and had so much fun. Got to drill our own hole, instructions on how to fish and sat in a nice tent. Also gave us handwarmers. Best of all, we went to a restaurant to have it prepared tempura style as an appetizer and ordered lunch...so delicious!

The guides were very attentive and patient. Spent our last day here with lasting memories and wanting to return again. Arigato Jin and Hiro (?)

We went in mid-February. Although it was snowing, in the tent it was warm so we could focus on the fishing.
First we made a hole in the ice, set up chairs and then started fishing like they told us, and we caught fish! It was kind cool being on the ice like that too.
In the kitchen area they will make tempura out of the smelt you catch for free, and we also had lunch their as the lunch sets were tasty and reasonably priced.

I went in mid-February. It was a bit snowy, but it was warm inside the tent, allowing me to focus on fishing.

First, I drilled a hole in the ice, set up my chair, and followed the instructions to entice the fish from the bottom, and I caught some! The subtle bites were incredibly fun.

It was my first experience on the ice, and I was really excited. The smelt I caught was made into tempura for free at the dining area, and I had lunch there; it was a reasonably priced and delicious set meal.

Right near the fishing spot, there are clean restrooms and wash areas in a beautiful commercial facility, and you can buy souvenirs and food, so there's no need for women to worry.

I highly recommend trying it out, especially since it's a limited-time experience!
