I appreciated the reasonable price, which is definitely not expensive compared to bus tours or rentals, and the convenience of being picked up at my accommodation was fantastic. The driver held a sign with my name at the hotel front, making it easy for us to find each other. They recommended great photo spots at each location and took us to hidden spots with clean scenery where there were no people, which was very thoughtful. It was also possible to ask the driver to stop along the way for photo opportunities, which made the experience even better. They took couple photos of us at every location, which was touching.

Communication was seamless thanks to the translator, and the driver checked the time regularly, so I think I would choose a taxi tour again even if I brought my parents along. I really liked that there was no time wasted on fixed meal times or long waits at places during the nearly all-day group bus tour.

I highly recommend the 3-hour tour starting at 8:30 AM when there are fewer people; it was more than enough to experience Biei! Our route was Asahikawa Station > Mild Seven Hill > Christmas Tree > Takushinkan > Asahikawa Station. Along the way, we could spend a little time at hidden spots known only to the driver or at places we liked, and on the way back to Asahikawa Station, they kindly stopped by the Ken and Mary Tree as a bonus and made sure to pass by Biei Station, which I really appreciated.

It had been about 30 years since my last visit to Abashiri, and I was quite anxious about sightseeing on unfamiliar snowy roads, so I decided to book a sightseeing taxi through Beltora without hesitation. On the day of the tour, I was picked up at Memanbetsu Airport and taken to various locations in the following order: Cape Notoro, the Northern Peoples Museum, the Okhotsk Drift Ice Museum, the Tentozan Observatory, and the Abashiri Prison Museum. The weather was excellent, and I was able to enjoy the stunning winter scenery of frozen Lake Abashiri and Lake Notoro, as well as the majestic Okhotsk Sea and Cape Notoro. At the Northern Peoples Museum, I learned about history, and at the Okhotsk Drift Ice Museum, I experienced extreme cold (the towel I spun became stiff like a stick in just a few seconds). The Abashiri Prison was also very quiet, allowing for a thorough visit. I was very satisfied with how efficiently I was able to tour the sightseeing spots in Abashiri in a short amount of time. The guide explained the surroundings and our destination in three languages, which was enjoyable. I used this service because it was more cost-effective than exploring Sapporo on my own, and I was quite satisfied with it. I think it was a seasonal issue, but the snow leopards and other feline creatures I was looking forward to seeing were all sleeping, so I couldn't see their faces very well, haha. Still, the zoo was a lot of fun. The only disappointment was the lunch; there wasn't anything that looked delicious, and as expected, it wasn't tasty. Since we arrived at night on our first day, we decided to book a tour just to see the night view of Mount Hakodate.

The driver was very kind and attentive, sharing a lot of history with us and taking photos the whole time. It was a wonderful start to our trip to Hakodate with my friend. Since we went before the general public was allowed in, it was less crowded, and we were able to take photos freely, which was great.

Due to the low number of reservations, we were picked up by a van instead of a bus. There was no tour guide, just the driver, so there was no information about where we were headed. When one passenger asked, "Where are we going now? Is there no guidance?" the driver replied, "I'm just the driver, so I don't know anything." It was shocking. As a result, there was no explanation about the sightseeing spots or the scenery along the way, and the van was silent. Although it was mentioned that we could see the scenery from the window, the heating inside the vehicle was so strong that the windows fogged up quickly, making it impossible to see anything. We were taken to various places, but with no explanations, it felt like we were just wandering around on our own.

Additionally, we had a plan to eat lunch at the Biei Town roadside station, but we were taken to a completely different roadside station that only had a hamburger shop. Since everyone concentrated there, they eventually stopped taking orders, and we couldn't order anything. Spending 80 minutes in such a place was unacceptable. At the Furano Cheese Factory, it was stated that we could enjoy experiences, but since we arrived after 3 PM, by the time we got there, the time for experiences had ended, and we could only look around. I wondered if we needed to make a reservation in advance to even participate in the experiences.

Since all the facilities were free and we had to pay for our own lunch, I felt that even though it was a one-day bus tour, 10,000 yen was too expensive. 予約された方の人数が少なかったこともあってか、集合場所に来たのはバスではなくワゴン車でした。添乗員がおらず運転手のみだったので、最初にどこに向かうのかなど案内がなく、「今はどこに向かっているんですか？案内とかないんですか？」と一人の乗客が訪ねると「私は運転手だから何も分からない」と言われました。ビックリです。なので、観光する場所の説明や道中の景色の説明など一切なく無言の車内でした。景色は車窓からと書いてありますが、車内の暖房が強くすぐに曇ってしまい何も見えません。それぞれの場所に連れて行かれますが、本当に何も説明がないので自分達で勝手に見てまわる感じでした。また、美瑛町道の駅でお昼ごはんを食べるプランでしたが、連れて行かれたのが全く違う道の駅でハンバーガー屋さんしかなく、みんながそこに集中するので最後は注文を打ち切られ何も頼めませんでした。ここで80分過ごすのはありえない場所です。富良野チーズ工房では、体験なども楽しめますと書いてありますが、15時過ぎの到着だったので、着いた頃には体験できる時間は終わっておりただ見るだけでした。そもそも、事前予約しないと体験すら出来ないのではと思いました。どこも無料の施設でお昼ごはんも自分達で払うので、１日のバスツアーとはいえ1万円は高すぎるとすら感じました。そして、初めての北海道旅行で色んな所を見てまわりたいと思いバスツアーを申し込んだのですが、案内が本当に何もなく楽しみにしていた景色も見れず残念でした。これではタクシーと同じです。タクシー移動の方がマシだったのではと感じてます。
無事に帰って来れたのがなによりです。

Nakamura Tourist Taxi was absolutely amazing! If it weren't for Mr. Nakamura guiding me through the night view of Hakodate for the first time, I don't think I would have been able to enjoy the scenery amidst the huge crowds. He took me to a hidden photography spot where I could enjoy the night view in a private setting. Even though the wait time for the ropeway was long and we went over time, he responded with a smile. On the way back, when I told him the reservation time for dinner, he kindly drove me to the restaurant, for which I am very grateful.

とにかく中村観光タクシーさん最高でした！初の函館の夜景で中村さんに案内してもらえなかったら、激混みの中満足に夜景を楽しめなかったと思います。穴場の撮影スポットに案内して頂き貸切状態で夜景を楽しめました。ロープウェイの待ち時間が長くなり時間がオーバーしたのにも関わらず笑顔で対応して下さいました。帰りは夕食の予約時間をお伝えするとお店まで送って頂き感謝です。
