Since it was New Year's Eve, the only paid attraction we could enter was Goryokaku, but we were able to comfortably visit various sightseeing spots along the snowy roads. If there are places you want to go, they will prioritize taking you there, but if you don't have any specific requests, you can just leave it up to them. The local driver also serves as a guide, explaining various sites while driving. During the trip, we were able to hear unique information that you wouldn't find in travel magazines, which helped us choose restaurants!
大晦日ということもあり、有料の見学スポットに入場出来たのは五稜郭ぐらいでしたが、雪道の中快適に観光スポットを巡ることができました。行きたい所があれば優先して連れて行ってくれますが、特に無ければお任せOKです。地元のドライバーさんがガイドさん兼任で各所の説明をしながら運転してくれます。移動中、旅行雑誌には載らない地元の方ならではの情報なども聞けて飲食店選びの参考になりました！

The guide explained the surroundings and our destination in three languages, which was enjoyable. I used this service because it was more cost-effective than exploring Sapporo on my own, and I was quite satisfied with it. I think it was a seasonal issue, but the snow leopards and other feline creatures I was looking forward to seeing were all sleeping, so I couldn't see their faces very well, haha. Still, the zoo was a lot of fun. The only disappointment was the lunch; there wasn't anything that looked delicious, and as expected, it wasn't tasty. However, the Furano melon was incredibly delicious, so I thought that was a nice trade-off. At the photo spots, they took a lot of pictures for us.

Since we arrived at night on our first day, we decided to book a tour just to see the night view of Mount Hakodate.
The driver was very kind and attentive, sharing a lot of history with us and taking photos the whole time. It was a wonderful start to our trip to Hakodate with my friend. At the Furano Cheese Factory, it was stated that we could enjoy experiences, but since we arrived after 3 PM, by the time we got there, the time for experiences had ended, and we could only look around. I wondered if we needed to make a reservation in advance to even participate in the experiences.
Since all the facilities were free and we had to pay for our own lunch, I felt that even though it was a one-day bus tour, 10,000 yen was too expensive. I signed up for the bus tour because it was my first trip to Hokkaido and I wanted to see various places, but there was really no guidance, and I was disappointed that I couldn't see the scenery I was looking forward to. It felt just like taking a taxi. I even thought that moving by taxi might have been better.

予約された方の人数が少なかったこともあってか、集合場所に来たのはバスではなくワゴン車でした。添乗員がおらず運転手のみだったので、最初にどこに向かうのかなど案内がなく、「今はどこに向かっているんですか？案内とかないんですか？」と一人の乗客が訪ねると「私は運転手だから何も分からない」と言われました。ビックリです。なので、観光する場所の説明や道中の景色の説明など一切なく無言の車内でした。景色は車窓からと書いてありますが、車内の暖房が強くすぐに曇ってしまい何も見えません。それぞれの場所に連れて行かれますが、本当に何も説明がないので自分達で勝手に見てまわる感じでした。また、美瑛町道の駅でお昼ごはんを食べるプランでしたが、連れて行かれたのが全く違う道の駅でハンバーガー屋さんしかなく、みんながそこに集中するので最後は注文を打ち切られ何も頼めませんでした。ここで80分過ごすのはありえない場所です。富良野チーズ工房では、体験なども楽しめますと書いてありますが、15時過ぎの到着だったので、着いた頃には体験できる時間は終わっておりただ見るだけでした。そもそも、事前予約しないと体験すら出来ないのではと思いました。どこも無料の施設でお昼ごはんも自分達で払うので、１日のバスツアーとはいえ1万円は高すぎるとすら感じました。そして、初めての北海道旅行で色んな所を見てまわりたいと思いバスツアーを申し込んだのですが、案内が本当に何もなく楽しみにしていた景色も見れず残念でした。これではタクシーと同じです。タクシー移動の方がマシだったのではと感じてます。
無事に帰って来れたのがなによりです。

Since I used this service on the first day of my trip, it was helpful for my subsequent sightseeing. Nakamura Tourist Taxi was absolutely amazing! If it weren't for Mr. Nakamura guiding me through the night view of Hakodate for the first time, I don't think I would have been able to enjoy the scenery amidst the huge crowds. He took me to a hidden photography spot where I could enjoy the night view in a private setting. Even though the wait time for the ropeway was long and we went over time, he responded with a smile. On the way back, when I told him the reservation time for dinner, he kindly drove me to the restaurant, for which I am very grateful.

The road to Mount Hakodate was closed for the winter, so we took the ropeway together and were shown a different spot to enjoy the night view. The observation deck was crowded, but we were able to appreciate the night scenery in a place where no one else was around, allowing us to take photos freely. I think this tour, which allows you to visit the three major caldera lakes and sulfur mountains at a reasonable price, is very helpful for those who cannot drive. We were blessed with good weather, the air was clear, and it wasn't as cold as I had expected; every view we encountered was wonderful. Each of the three lakes has its own characteristics and beauty, and just looking at them brought peace to my heart.
Depending on the time we arrived at Lake Akan Onsen, I planned to decide whether to take a sightseeing boat or visit a hot spring. We arrived at 12:45, 15 minutes earlier than the scheduled 1:00 PM (though arriving early doesn't extend our stay by 15 minutes). Since we made it in time for the 1:05 PM boat, we grabbed lunch at Seicomart before boarding and enjoyed the scenery from the lake. We were also able to see the giant marimo at the Marimo Observation Center on Churui Island.
I was impressed by the guide's earnestness, but it was incomprehensible that, while saying, "I will only talk about important things because I've received complaints that my talking is annoying and I've been instructed to put the microphone down during long travel times," they continued to hold the microphone and talk non-stop. I believe the "important things" in a bus tour are just the meeting and departure times. It was painful to endure the endless explanations that you can find on various websites.
However, upon reflection, I think the annoyance I felt was more about my personal preference regarding the guide's voice quality and tone rather than the content of the talk. 阿寒湖温泉に着く時間によって、遊覧船に乗るか立寄湯行くか決めるつもりでいたら、｢予定13時｣のところ15分早い12時45分に到着(したからと言って、滞在時間が15分延びるわけではないのですが)。
13時05分発の遊覧船に間に合った為、Seicomartで昼食を仕入れてから乗船し、湖上から眺める景色を堪能することに。
チュウルイ島のマリモ展示観察センターで巨大マリモを見ることもできました。
ガイドさんの一生懸命な様子には感心しましたが、｢『話が煩い』と苦情が入り『長い移動中はマイクを置け』と指示されているので大事なことだけ話しますが･･･」と前置きしながら、絶えずマイクを持ち続け、ずーーっと喋りっ放しなのは理解不能です。
バスツアーで言う"大事なこと"は、集合時刻･出発時刻のみだと思います。
あちこちのWebサイトに載っているような説明を延々と続けられ、苦痛でした。
ただ、よく考えると、煩いと感じるのは話ではなく、ガイドさんの声質と口調に対する好みの問題のような気がします。
鼻にかかった高い声(いわゆるアニメ声)で妙なテンポで語尾をのばしながら舌足らずな話し方が｢私は｣苦手で、延々と聞かされ続けるうちに耳が疲れてしまいました。
わざと童謡風に子供みたいな感じで歌うのも勘弁して欲しかったです。
車窓からの景色を静かに楽しめなかったことだけが残念。
外国人の参加者も迷惑そうな顔をしていました。
要所要所で各国語の短い音声案内を流し、注意事項は紙ペラ1枚配れば十分なのでは…？

It was a trip with my child. I used this service on the day I was returning from Kushiro to Haneda on the last flight, so I booked a plan to the airport. Additionally, I had originally planned to leave the group at Lake Akan and take a local bus to the airport. Even though it’s a local bus, it costs 2,190 yen, so being able to take the airport-bound local bus with this tour ticket is quite a bargain.
By choosing the local bus, my free time at Lake Akan, which was originally 2 hours, became 3 hours. However, I was still worried about whether I could visit all the places I wanted to go (Ainu Kotan, lake cruise, and Bokké promenade). At one point, I considered taking a motorboat instead of the sightseeing boat, but the price would double for one person.
In the end, I arrived at Lake Akan around 12:30, which gave me an extra 30 minutes compared to my original plan, and I was able to board the sightseeing boat without any issues! At Ainu Kotan, I happened to catch an outdoor event and was able to enjoy Ainu traditional dances and more.
On the Bokké promenade, I was worried because I couldn’t find any Bokké even after walking along the path by the lake, but I was on the right track and managed to see Bokké at two locations. I also stopped by the Eco Museum Center before heading to the bus center.
I appreciate the guide, the driver, and all the participants for making the early bus operation possible.
Points of concern:
- I was asked to show a QR code when boarding, but I believe that if you booked through VELTRA, you wouldn’t receive a QR code. It wasn’t a problem to just say my name, but it might be better to agree on an operational method.
- There was no information on the official page regarding the exact drop-off locations and their order at Lake Akan, and I had to call to inquire about it.
釧路→羽田の最終便で帰る日に利用しましたので、空港までのプランを予約。且つ、阿寒湖で離団し路線バスで空港に向かう予定で当初より計画していました。路線バスといえども2190円もしますので、このツアーのチケットで空港行き路線バスに乗せてもらえるというのは、かなりお得です。
路線バスを選択することで、阿寒湖で本来2時間の自由行動が3時間になるわけですが、それでも、私の行きたいところ(アイヌコタン・湖上遊覧・ボッケ遊歩道)を周りきれるか、不安でした。
場合によっては、遊覧船でなくモーターボートにしようとも思いましたが、1名だと2倍の料金になってしまいます。
しかしながら、結果的には阿寒湖に12時半頃には到着したため、元の予定より30分も余裕ができ、何の問題もなく遊覧船に乗れました！
アイヌコタンでは偶然、屋外でイベントをやっていて、アイヌ民族舞踊等を鑑賞することができました。
ボッケ遊歩道では、湖に沿った道をひたすら進んでもなかなかボッケが見つからないので心配になりましたが、道は間違っておらず無事にボッケを2箇所見て、エコミュージアムセンターにも少し寄って、ゴールのバスセンターへ。
ガイドさん、運転手さん、参加者の皆様のお陰で、早目のバス運行ができたことを感謝しております。
気になった点
・乗車時にQRコード提示を求められたが、VELTRA経由の予約だとQRコードは届いていないと思う。名前を言えば問題はなかったけれど、運用方法を申し合わせた方がいいのでは。
・阿寒湖での正確な下車場所やその順番の情報が公式ページにもなく、電話で問い合わせなければなかった。

I had a truly wonderful and enjoyable time. Thank you very much. I participated with my grandmother and mother, three generations together. The driver was a gentleman and very kind, taking care of my grandmother, who has difficulty walking, by providing a wheelchair and pushing her around. I was worried about whether I could enjoy the sightseeing since I can't walk long distances, but thanks to the guide from Donan Hire, I had a fantastic time. The night view of Hakodate was truly wonderful. I have been to several night view spots before, but this was the most beautiful one. Additionally, the taxi driver's guidance was great. He explained various things and took us to excellent night view spots. He even helped us take commemorative photos. On the way back from the observation deck, while many tourists were waiting for the bus, we comfortably took a taxi back to the hotel.
函館の夜景はとても素晴らしかった。今までいくつかの夜景スポットへ行ったことがありますが、最も美しい夜景でした。
また、タクシーの運転手さんのガイドがよかったです。

I arrived in Hakodate on a flight around 2 PM, checked in at 3 PM, and had almost given up on sightseeing for the day. However, I was picked up from the hotel for sightseeing starting at 4 PM and made it in time for dinner at 6 PM. Traveling with my grandparents and grandchildren in a three-generation group was quite challenging, so this was a great help. By the time we reached Mount Hakodate, it was still dim, and I could clearly see where everything was. Within a few minutes, it became completely dark, and the observation deck was very cold, but I was very satisfied with the gradually darkening cityscape.
14時頃着の飛行機で函館につき、15時にチェックインで、当日の観光は少し諦めていましたが、ホテルからピックアップ16時から観光で、18時からの夕食にしっかり間に合いました。
じじばば、孫と、三世代大所帯での移動は大変なので、とても助かりました。函館山に到着した頃は、まだ薄暗がりで、どこに何があるかもしっかりと分かり、そこから数分で真っ暗になり、展望台はとても寒かったですが、だんだん暗くなる街並みが見えて、大満足でした。

I felt that a three-hour stay, including time for arrival and meals, was just right. Since it was a round-trip bus ride, it was stress-free and easy even with kids. The driver was kind, and the veteran bus guide's stories were very enjoyable. I was able to hear a variety of explanations about the places the bus passed, historical anecdotes, and recommendations for souvenirs, which made it a lot of fun. In individual travel, you don't get to hear such stories, so it was really great.
到着して食事を摂る時間などを入れ3時間の滞在はちょうどよいと感じました。
往復バス移動なので子連れでもストレスなく楽チンでした♪
運転手さんは優しく、ベテランバスガイドさんの話しはとても楽しかったです。
バスが通る場所の解説や歴史のお話、おすすめのお土産など、多岐に渡るお話しが聞け、楽しかったです。
個人旅行だとそういった話を聞く事がないので、とても良かったです。
