Since we arrived at night on our first day, we decided to sign up just to see the night view of Mount Hakodate.
Our driver was very kind and attentive, sharing a lot of history with us and taking photos the whole time. It was a wonderful start to our trip to Hakodate with my friend. Since we went before the general public was allowed in, it was less crowded, and we could take photos freely, which was great.
Thank you, Nakamura-san, for your detailed communication regarding the schedule. And thanks to Takiguchi-san, who guided us, it truly became a wonderful travel memory. We are very grateful!!

初日が夜の到着でしたのでとりあえず函館山の夜景だけでも見たくて申し込みをしました。
ドライバーさんはたくさんの歴史を教えて下さったり、ずっと写真を撮って下さったりととても丁寧で優しい方でした。
友人との申し込みでしたが函館旅行のとても楽しいスタートになりました。
一般の方が入れる時間より前でしたので、空いていて自由に写真を撮ることも出来て良かったです。

Nakamura Tourist Taxi was absolutely amazing! If it weren't for Mr. Nakamura guiding me through the night view of Hakodate for the first time, I don't think I would have been able to enjoy the scenery amidst the huge crowds. He took me to a hidden photography spot where I could enjoy the night view in a private setting. Even though the wait time for the ropeway was long and we went over time, he responded with a smile. On the way back, when I told him the reservation time for dinner, he kindly drove me to the restaurant, for which I am very grateful.
とにかく中村観光タクシーさん最高でした！初の函館の夜景で中村さんに案内してもらえなかったら、激混みの中満足に夜景を楽しめなかったと思います。穴場の撮影スポットに案内して頂き貸切状態で夜景を楽しめました。ロープウェイの待ち時間が長くなり時間がオーバーしたのにも関わらず笑顔で対応して下さいました。帰りは夕食の予約時間をお伝えするとお店まで送って頂き感謝です。

The road to Mount Hakodate was closed for the winter, so we took the ropeway together and were shown a different spot to enjoy the night view. The observation deck was crowded, but we were able to appreciate the night scenery in a place where no one else was around, allowing us to take photos freely. However, we had already spent 90 minutes waiting for the ropeway when we came down. After that, we were guided to various other places, and we were able to cover all the highlights. In a word, it was an amazing experience. We were guided by a driver who was very kind and took pride in their work, loving Hakodate. They quickly showed my mother, who has difficulty walking, to the elevator, explained the night view, and took us to photo spots for my daughter, who was visiting Hokkaido for the first time. It was a trip with my child. We were able to sit comfortably in the taxi and were taken to Mount Hakodate, and we were grateful to have our parent-child photo taken with the night view in the background. I had a truly wonderful and enjoyable time. Thank you very much. I participated with my grandmother and mother, three generations together. The driver was a gentleman and very kind, taking care of my grandmother, who has difficulty walking, by providing a wheelchair and pushing her around. I was worried about whether I could enjoy the sightseeing since I can't walk long distances, but thanks to the guide from Donan Hire, I had a fantastic time. The explanations were very thorough, and they customized the tour to take us to many places I didn't know about, which made for a very satisfying experience. The night view of Hakodate was absolutely wonderful. I have been to several night view spots before, but this was the most beautiful one. Additionally, the taxi driver's guidance was great. Not only did he explain various things, but he also took us to great night view spots. He even took commemorative photos for us. On the way back from the observation deck, while many tourists were waiting for the bus, we comfortably took a taxi back to the hotel.

I arrived in Hakodate on a flight around 2 PM, checked in at 3 PM, and had almost given up on sightseeing for the day. However, I was picked up from the hotel for sightseeing starting at 4 PM and made it in time for dinner at 6 PM. Traveling with my grandparents and grandchildren in a three-generation group was quite challenging, so this was a great help. By the time we reached Mount Hakodate, it was still dim, and I could clearly see where everything was. Within a few minutes, it became completely dark, and the observation deck was very cold, but I was very satisfied with the gradually darkening cityscape.
14時頃着の飛行機で函館につき、15時にチェックインで、当日の観光は少し諦めていましたが、ホテルからピックアップ16時から観光で、18時からの夕食にしっかり間に合いました。
じじばば、孫と、三世代大所帯での移動は大変なので、とても助かりました。函館山に到着した頃は、まだ薄暗がりで、どこに何があるかもしっかりと分かり、そこから数分で真っ暗になり、展望台はとても寒かったですが、だんだん暗くなる街並みが見えて、大満足でした。

After arriving at the top of Mount Hakodate, we were guided to photo spots and viewpoints. Of course, we were also able to take photos. It was really great to be shown points that we wouldn't have known about (or been able to reach) if we had just gone up by cable car or bus on our own. Since we were there, we chose a course that included a tour of the churches outside of Mount Hakodate, but that might not have been necessary. The explanations were thorough and the content was very good, but for us, who aren't very interested in churches, it felt unnecessary.

My first visit to Hakodate. I definitely wanted to see the night view, so I researched how to get there. I found out that the ropeway gets quite crowded, and when I asked someone who had been there, they said it was packed. I realized that taking a taxi to the top was the best option, so I signed up for this tour. It was the right choice. They picked me up on time in front of the hotel, and at Mount Hakodate, they also told me the best spots to see and took photos for me. It was really great. Thank you to the driver!

We were picked up at the hotel, and the night view tour of Mount Hakodate began. With our guide chatting and having fun, we arrived at the summit. The driver then took us to a great photo spot, shining a light on our faces so they wouldn't be dark, allowing us to take wonderful pictures with the night view in the background. On the way back, we toured the illuminated churches (from the car), and the guide explained the history and stories, making for an enjoyable time. It was a very satisfying 90 minutes.

The driver of the Hakodate Mountain night view sightseeing taxi was very kind. First of all, he waited with a smile even though he was late for the pickup time.
Until 9 PM, only taxis and buses can go up. The line for the bus was incredible. Since the ropeway was closed for regular maintenance, having a chartered taxi was very helpful.
We were able to take photos at the night view point and see the beautiful scenery of nature. On the way back, we safely returned to the hotel while enjoying the view of the slopes and the Mashu Maru.

We were picked up at the hotel and headed to Mount Hakodate. We arrived at the observation deck, passing by the crowded ropeway station. Despite the crowds, our guide showed us around and took many photos for us.
We had planned a 90-minute course, which included a tour of Hachiman-zaka and the church group on the way back to the hotel, but we ended up at the recommended Lucky Pierrot. It was so delicious that we went there twice during our stay.
We are grateful for the full time our guide spent with us.
