The day before was rainy, so I was a bit anxious, but it was clear from the morning, and I was able to participate without any issues. In the morning, a brown bear appeared at Shiretoko Five Lakes, so we quickly changed our plans and went trekking in the primeval forest in the afternoon. I was a little nervous since it was my first trekking experience, but I walked along a pathless route in the great outdoors, experiencing an extraordinary space like never before! Along the way, a chipmunk appeared looking for acorns, and it was so cute. I was also able to see bear claw marks and footprints. We successfully completed the tour of Shiretoko Five Lakes in the afternoon, and I enjoyed the entire day! I was able to hear a lot from our guide, and it was really fun!

前日が雨であった為、少し不安でしたが朝から快晴であった為無事に参加する事ができました。
朝に知床五湖にヒグマが出没した為、急遽午後に予定していた原生林のトレッキングを行いました。
初めてのトレッキングで少し不安でしたが、今まで体験した事のないような大自然の道なき道を歩いていき非日常の空間を体験できました！
途中でシマリスがどんぐりを探しに現れてとても可愛かったです。
熊の爪痕や足跡なども見る事ができました。
午後に変更になった知床五湖も無事に最後まで回ることができ、1日満喫できました！！ガイドさんのお話もたくさん聞く事ができ、すごく楽しかったです！

It was my first time kayaking, but they kindly taught me. The weather was nice, and the autumn leaves were at their peak, which was beautiful. The guide's stories were really fun. I was surprised that they took 120 photos while guiding us! I would love to have them as my guide again when I come back to Hokkaido!

カヤックは初めてでしたが親切に教えて頂けました。天気も良くて紅葉も見頃で綺麗でした。ガイドの方のお話がめっちゃ楽しかったです。ガイドしながら写真も１２０枚も撮られててビックリしました。また北海道に来たらガイドして頂きたいです！！

I’m really glad I participated in Mr. Umebayashi's tour. I was a bit anxious about joining alone, especially with the recent reports of brown bear sightings, but walking with a group of about ten people led by Mr. Umebayashi, who has over 20 years of guiding experience, made me feel very secure and allowed me to enjoy the forests of Shiretoko.

Mr. Umebayashi, who is from Osaka, had an interesting way of speaking (in standard Japanese) that was both entertaining and informative, hitting all the right points and providing rich learning experiences. He guided us through the history of the Shiretoko forests, recent changes, and challenges, sharing many insights that I wouldn't have understood on my own, which left me very satisfied.

My understanding of Shiretoko has deepened, and I would love to come back with my husband next time. The atmosphere among the group was also friendly, allowing us to relax and enjoy the experience. Thank you very much.

梅林さんのツアーに参加して本当に良かったです。
一人での参加と、ヒグマ出没情報が連日続いていたので不安の中の参加でしたが、ガイド歴20年以上の梅林さん率いる10名ほどのグループで歩くことで非常に安心して知床の森を楽しむことができました。
大阪出身の梅林さんのトーク（標準語ですが）が面白い中にも、ちゃんとポイントをついていて豊かな学びを得られました。
知床の森の歴史や最近の変化、課題なども織り交ぜながらガイドしていただき、自分一人で回っただけではわからない多くのことを知ることができ大満足です。
知床の解像度が上がり、次は夫と一緒にまた来たいと思いました。
グループの皆さんの雰囲気も和やかでリラックスして回れました。

On my first trip to Shiretoko, I wanted to make the most of the opportunity, so I joined this tour (the Great Loop). The tour was very fulfilling as I learned various things about Shiretoko's history, geography, and flora and fauna. I felt a bit nervous when I was shown the fresh bear claw marks and feeding grounds, but I was able to walk for three hours with peace of mind alongside an experienced guide. While many people seem to walk without a guide, I was able to fully enjoy the great nature of Shiretoko that I wouldn't have noticed otherwise!

はじめての知床への旅、
せっかくの機会なので100%楽しみたいと思いこちらのツアー（大ループ）に参加しました。
知床の歴史、地理、動植物などさまざまなことを教わりながらのツアーは大変充実したものでした。
まだ新しいヒグマのツメ跡やエサ場を教えてもらった時は少しドキドキしましたが
経験豊富なガイドさんといっしょなので安心して３時間歩くことができました。
ガイド無しで歩くかたも多いようですが、それでは気付けない知床の大自然を満喫できました！

The captain was a foreigner and had a great sense of humor. He stopped the boat several times along the way to explain things while sharing jokes. I think this level of eloquence is something that Japanese captains might not be able to achieve.

Not only did we go to see the Blue Cave, but he also shared many recommended scenic spots with us. He handed us some crackers to feed the seagulls and entertained us with thrilling zigzag driving.

We had a 7-month-old baby with us, and the captain frequently turned around to check on us, which was very considerate. The baby stayed inside the boat until he got used to it, but on the way back, he seemed fine, so we went outside to feel the wind. The Blue Cave was, of course, incredibly beautiful!

外国人の船長さんで喋りの面白い方でした。途中何度も船を停めてジョークを交えて説明してくれます。
この饒舌さは日本人の船長さんではなかなか出せないんじゃないかと思います。
青の洞窟を観に行くという目的だけじゃなくおすすめの景色をたくさん教えてくれました。
カンパンを手渡してくれてカモメに餌やりをさせてくれたり、スリルある蛇行運転で楽しませてくれました。
0歳7ヶ月の赤ちゃんも一緒に同情しましたが船長さんが何度も振り返って気遣ってくれました。
赤ちゃんが慣れるまでは船内にいましたが帰りは大丈夫そうだったので外に出て風を感じました。
青の洞窟はもちろんとっても綺麗でした！

While considering a cruise in Otaru, I participated in a very exciting activity! As a result, there were moments like a roller coaster, and it turned out to be a very fulfilling time!

結果、ジェットコースターのような瞬間もあり、とても充実した時間になりました！

The small group size allowed for detailed explanations, and they took a lot of time for photos at the photo spots.

Since the canoeing session lasted for 2 hours, including the time until dispersal, we were actually on the lake for less than an hour. I felt it was a bit lacking for the price. However, I think it's a good option for those who want to enjoy a long day and have a quick canoeing experience.

I participated in the session that started at 9 AM, and the gentle sunlight made for a pleasant morning activity.

As shown in the photos, it looks quite beautiful when the weather is nice. It became a great memory.

少人数制で丁寧な説明と、フォトスポットでの撮影をかなり細かくしてくださいました。

2時間でカヌーの漕ぎ方〜解散 だったので実際には湖の上に1時間もいませんでした。
値段の割にはちょっと物足りないと感じました。
一日を長く楽しみたい人にはサクッとカヌーができるのでおすすめかと思います。
9時スタートの会に参加しましたが、陽の光が優しく気持ちの良い朝活になりました。

写真の通り、天気が良いとかなり綺麗に見えます。いい思い出になりました。

There were no sudden currents, and the flow was calm throughout. The first half felt very much like Hokkaido with its spaciousness, while the second half maintained a gentle flow but the river narrowed, giving a sense of wandering through a jungle. It was very enjoyable!

前半は北海道！と言う感じで広々、後半は流れは穏やかなまま川幅が狭くなりジャングルのを彷徨ってる感じでした

I had assumed that canoes are prone to tipping over, but the guide told me, "Capsizing almost never happens; if it does, it's intentional." This made me feel very reassured about boarding. There was a brief rain shower, and the sun shone brightly at times, allowing us to enjoy the weather. Once we paddled into the shade, it became a truly wonderful experience. The guide was attentive, had a great sense of humor, and shared a lot of knowledge, which made it enjoyable. They also took photos and sent them to us via AirDrop after we landed, so there was no risk of dropping our belongings in the water (smartphones, car keys, wallets, etc. can be stored in a locked locker).

カヌーは勝手に転覆しやすいものだと決めつけていたのですがガイドさんから『転覆はほぼ起きない、もし転覆したとするならそれはワザとですよ』と言われ、とても安心して乗船しました、一瞬通り雨があったりとても陽がさしたり天候も楽しめて木陰に入ってからのオールを漕ぐととても素敵な体験ができます。ガイドさんは丁寧で話も面白いし知識もたくさん話してくれるので、楽しめました。写真も撮影してくれて上陸してからエアドロップで送信してくれるので落水させる危険がなくて安心です（スマホ・車の鍵・財布などは鍵付きロッカーに預けられます）

I had my first stand-up paddleboarding experience!! The instructor was very kind, cool, and a wonderful person! He taught me how to ride the paddleboard carefully, and I was able to stand on the board right away! I participated as a couple, and we made some really great memories! I want to join again when I go to Hokkaido!

インストラクターのお兄さんはとても優しくて、カッコよくて、素敵な方でした！
サップの乗り方も丁寧に教えて下さってすぐにボードの上に立つことが出来ました！カップルで参加させて頂きましたが、とても素敵な思い出が出来ました！また北海道に行くときは参加したいです！！

I participated in a tour around the Shiretoko Five Lakes for the first time. The guide was very pleasant and made a great impression from our first meeting. The guide provided very detailed and interesting information, making for an enjoyable time. Thank you for a fulfilling time in nature after such a long while.

As expected from the famous captain, not only was the talk entertaining, but there was also music playing, which made it an exhilarating experience! The driving was excellent; we didn't bounce on the water, and he skillfully avoided the waves from other boats, providing a thrilling experience that was far from an ordinary cruise. My whole family was very satisfied! Unfortunately, we couldn't enter the Blue Cave due to falling rocks, but we had many more fun experiences than we expected. I want to go again! 名物船長と謳っているだけに、トークもさることながら音楽もかかって、ワクワクが止まりませんでした！そして、運転が上手で、水の上を跳ねないし他の船の波も上手に避けてくれるので、スピード感あって、ありきたりのクルーズ体験とは段違いの非日常体験ができました⭐︎家族全員大満足です！青の洞窟は残念ながら落石の関係で中に入れませんでしたが、それよりもっとたくさんの楽しい体験ができました。また行きたいです！ありがとうございました♪

I had a veteran guide who showed me points that I definitely wouldn't have noticed if I were exploring on my own, such as bear claw marks, traces of ptarmigan eggs, and holes left by bears after eating hornet nests. The guide was also very knowledgeable about plants and the history of the land, making the three hours feel very short! I definitely want to come back to Shiretoko.

ベテランのガイドさんに担当していただき、個人で回っていたら絶対に気づかないようなポイント(クマの爪痕やライチョウの卵の痕跡、スズメバチの巣を熊が食べた後の穴など)を見せてもらったり、植物の知識や土地の歴史も豊富で3時間がとても短く感じました！また知床に来たいと思いました。

It was just a walk in the forest, but the guide explained various things, which made it enjoyable without getting bored. If I had to say something, it would have been nice to have the chance to see some animals like bears (of course, from a distance). That's just a matter of luck, so I'll save that for next time.

森の中を歩くだけではありますがガイドさんが色々なことを説明してくれたこともあり飽きずに楽しめました。強いて言えばクマなど何かしらの動物を見られる機会があったら良かったですが(もちろん遠くからながめるぐらいの距離感で、です)そこは運なので次の機会に取っておきたいと思います。

My first canoe experience in the Kushiro Wetlands was approached with a light heart, hoping to enjoy the scenery. On the day of the tour, under the guidance of a very knowledgeable guide, we learned about local topics such as wildlife conservation and damage, as well as the names of various plants and animals we encountered. The two hours passed pleasantly. Due to the weather, we were able to see wildlife such as Ezo deer, red-crowned cranes, and the brilliantly blue kingfisher, which are not usually seen, and I was deeply moved. I strongly felt the importance of preserving this nature.

初めての釧路湿原のカヌー体験、景色が楽しめればと軽い気持ちでいました。
当日は、とても知識があるガイドさんの先導のもと、地域の話（野生動物の保護、被害等）、目に入る動植物の名前など説明してもらい、2時間が気持ちよく過ぎていきました。野生動物も、天候のためエゾシカ、タンチョウヅル、青く輝くカワセミなど普段見ることができない生き物をみることができてとても感動しました。この自然が継続していくことを強く思いました。

I was very worried about whether I could walk for three hours since I was feeling unwell before the participation date. However, the weather on the day was nice, refreshing, and not too hot, and our guide, Mr. Kairin, was considerate, allowing us to participate comfortably and enjoyably. The path was also suitable for beginners. It was definitely the right choice to go with a guided tour without worrying about bears. Thank you very much.

参加日の前に体調を崩して3時間も歩けるかと大変心配しました。当日は天気も良くさっぱりして暑くもなく、またガイドの海林さんが気を使ってくださり快適に楽しく参加することができました。道も初心者でも大丈夫でした。

It was amazing!
There was a bear sighting, which caused some changes to the schedule, but they were very flexible in accommodating us.
We were able to fully enjoy the primeval forest and the cliffs, which we couldn't have done without a guide. We had a great time even in the rain thanks to their knowledge of the flora and fauna!

I walked the elevated walkway for the first time, and it was a fulfilling three hours that went by in a flash.

Unlike the previous day, the weather was favorable, making it a perfect day for a stroll.

地上遊歩道を初めて歩いたがあっという間の充実した3時間でした〜。

前日とはうって代わり天気にも恵まれ、散策日和でした。

It was a wonderful time where I could experience nature throughout! Especially in the jungle, it was like a scene from a movie, a magnificent sight as if I were looking at a landscape painting! The guides were also very kind, and I am grateful for that. I would like to use this service again when I travel to Hokkaido! Thank you very much.

I participated in a course that circled the five lakes, which took about three hours. After gathering, we received a lecture about brown bears and plants before setting off. There was always a sense of tension regarding the brown bears, but while listening to the enjoyable and thorough explanations from the veteran guide, I was able to experience the magnificence of untouched nature. Thank you very much.

五湖全周、約3時間のコースに参加しました。集合後、ヒグマや植物に関することなどのレクチャーを受けてからの出発となりました。ヒグマに対する緊張感は常にありましたが、ベテランのガイドさんの楽しくて、丁寧な説明を聞きながら、手付かずの大自然の素晴らしさを体感することができました。ありがとうございました。

The early morning kayak experience offered stunning views. The duration was shorter than I expected, and it ended in no time. During peak times like the Obon holiday, the later sessions after 10 AM can get quite crowded with people doing SUP and other activities. Additionally, there’s nothing to block the sun on the lake, and it can be bright and hot in the summer, so I recommend the early morning kayak for enjoying the beautiful scenery. Also, the photos taken were all wonderful and made for great memories.

早朝カヤック、素晴らしい絶景でした。
体験時間は思ったより短く、あっという間に終わってしまいました。
お盆期間などは10時以降の回かなり混み合い、SUPなどで人がいっぱいになります。また、湖上は遮るものがなく、夏場は日差しがまぶしく暑いので、絶景を楽しむなら早朝のカヤックがおすすめです。
また、撮っていただいた写真がどれも素敵で、よい思い出になりました。

It was a hot season in August, but I had a refreshing cruising experience!

I personally hold a small boat license and often have the opportunity to drive, but the captain's driving was professional. He skillfully avoided waves and minimized the impact on the boat, so I don't think there was anyone among the passengers who experienced seasickness.

The interior of the boat was kept clean, and the seats were equipped with cushions to absorb shock, which gave the impression that they were considerate of the passengers! You can enjoy a leisurely time inside the boat, or there are seats outside to enjoy the view as well!

I was looking forward to the famous foreign captain, and he turned out to be a very amusing person, providing guidance filled with jokes, making for a laughter-filled cruise! There are boats that guide you to the Blue Cave in the Otaru area, but I think this one was the most entertaining!

As of August 2025, due to concerns about falling rocks inside the Blue Cave, it seems they do not enter the cave itself, but they get as close as possible within a safe range, allowing us to see the beautiful cave!

It was a memorable and wonderful experience! I learned from the captain that on cloudy days, the cave can look more beautiful or sometimes not at all, so I would like to board again when I visit Otaru! Thank you!

8月の暑いシーズンでしたが、爽快なクルージング体験ができました！

私自身、小型船舶免許を保有しており運転する機会が多いですが船長の運転はプロでした、波を避け船への衝撃を最小限に抑えるような運転をしており同乗しているお客さんの中に船酔いしている様子の方は1人もいなかったと思います。

船内も綺麗にされており、座席にも衝撃を和らげる目的のクッションも備えられており乗船される方のことを考えられている印象でした！
船内でゆっくり楽しむもよし、船外にもイスがあるので外で楽しむもよしです！

船長は外国人の有名船長ということで楽しみにしておりましたが、大変愉快な方で終始ジョークを交えた案内をしており笑いの絶えないクルージングでした！
小樽エリア各地に青の洞窟を案内している船がありますが面白さは1番かと思います！

2025.8月現在は青の洞窟内の落石への配慮から洞窟の中までは入らないとのことでしたが、安全な範囲の中でできるだけ青の洞窟に近づいてくれる為、綺麗な洞窟は見ることができました！

記憶に残る素晴らしい体験ができました！
船長さんからの豆知識で、曇っている日の方が綺麗に見えたりとか見えなかったりとからしいので、また小樽に行くときには乗船したいと思っています！

I visited Shiretoko for the first time, and it was a breathtaking view like no other.
With the guidance provided, I gained insights into animals and plants that I wouldn't have noticed without the explanations, and my friend and I reflected on how glad we were to participate.

初めて知床に行きましたが、他に経験したことのない、絶景でした。
ガイドしていただき、説明がないと見えてこない、動物や植物目線の視点を頂戴し、参加してよかったと友人と振り返りました。

The weather was cloudy and it looked like it might rain, which initially made me feel a bit disappointed, but in the end, it was the best tour. Starting at 6 AM, we had a private canoe experience in the Kushiro Wetlands. True to its name, it was a healing canoe experience. We were able to see deer, white-tailed eagles, and great blue herons, and I was surprised to see ducks running around, which was great. The guide's explanations were easy to understand, and the kids enjoyed it too. This tour definitely deserves its high rating. If possible, I would like to join again during the season when I can see the long-tailed tit.

曇り空で雨が降りそうな天気で最初は若干残念な気持ちでしたが結果的には最高のツアーでした。朝6時スタートから貸切カヌーで貸切の釧路湿原。ヒーリングカヌーの名前通りです。鹿やオジロ鷲、アオサギを見ることも出来ましたしカモが走る姿もビックリしましたが良かったです。ガイドさんの説明は分かりやすく子供たちも楽しんでいました。高評価納得のツアーです。可能なら次はシマエナガに会える時期に参加したいです

I went out to sea on a motorboat for the first time. The waves were getting high, and we thought we might have to cancel the next trip due to the whitecaps. The boat bravely crossed the waves, repeatedly going up and down in a way that was even more exhilarating than a roller coaster, making sharp turns. Along the way, we received explanations about the islands and coastlines as we headed to the Blue Cave. Inside the cave, there was only our boat, allowing us to leisurely observe the seabed.

初めてモーターボートで海に出ました。
波が高くなってきたので次の回はキャンセルだなーと言っていた位の白波でした。
果敢にボートは波を越え、ジェットコースターよりも小刻みにUP.DOWNを繰り返し急回旋します。
途中の島や海岸の解説もしながら青の洞窟へ。
洞窟の中には私達のボートしか居らずゆっくりと海底を見学できました。

It was a three-hour course, but the guide's explanations were precise and full of humor, making for a very enjoyable time.

It takes just over two hours from gathering to dispersing, so it's best to participate with some time to spare. This way, you can take your time. It's a gentle experience, but since you'll be going down the river and then back up, I found the latter half to be more tiring than I expected. Also, in the shallow parts of the river, you'll need to walk, so it's advisable to prepare for that as well. Considering all of this, it was a very good experience for the family.

集合から解散まで2時間強かかりますので、時間に余裕もって参加した方がいいです。その分、じっくりできます。緩やかですが、川を下って、上ることになりますので、後半は思っていたより疲れました。また、川の浅い所は歩くことになりますので、少なくともそれ用の準備した方がよいです。これらのこと含めて、家族でとても良い体験なりました。

I was worried because there was a possibility that we couldn't go in due to high waves, but I decided to participate. As expected, the waves were high, and we couldn't go in, so it turned into a cruising experience.

直前で波が高いから入れない可能性もあるとのことで、悩みましたが参加しました。
やはり波は高く、入れずで、クルージングに変わりました。
