I booked a tour departing from Kyoto Station.

The meeting point for the tour, the tourist bus stop in front of the Hachijo Exit of Kyoto Station, is located in an easily accessible area where large tourist buses frequently arrive and depart, with convenient access from the Kyoto AVANTI side. However, depending on the time of day, you should be prepared for a large crowd of various travel company guides and numerous tourists gathering at this bus stop.

We were flustered when we couldn't find our scheduled bus at the meeting time, but thanks to the guide calling out participants' names loudly, we were able to join the tour without any issues.

The guide, named Frederick, was fluent in Chinese, English, and Japanese, and had a great sense of humor with a clear voice. His explanations of the tourist sites were easy to understand and thorough, and it was very helpful to see how Japanese culture could be translated into English. He also sent detailed information about the meeting time and stops via LINE, which greatly assisted us in planning our activities. He was very considerate, checking in on our health and understanding of the explanations multiple times, allowing our group to enjoy Kyoto and Nara thoroughly.

There was ample free time in the Kyoto area, making it easy to take breaks, have meals, shop for souvenirs, and take photos or videos at our own pace. We were able to visit Kiyomizu-dera and Fushimi Inari Taisha while considering our stamina, and even though it was a very hot day for early June, we successfully completed our stroll.

The time spent exploring Nara Park seemed to be greatly influenced by road traffic conditions, but our tour arrived with plenty of time to spare, allowing us to enjoy interacting with the deer and fulfilling our long-held wish to visit Todai-ji Daibutsuden.

As a tour that departs in the morning and ends in the evening, it efficiently covers Kyoto and Nara. The return destination is the Namba area in Osaka, which offers many options for shinkansen, meals, and accommodations, making it a very convenient location.

If I have the opportunity again, I would like to book a tour with this company.

ツアー集合場所となる京都駅八条口前観光バス乗り場は、大型の観光バスが頻繁に発着し、京都AVANTI側からのアクセスも容易な、わかりやすい場所に位置しています。
ただし、時間帯によっては様々な旅行会社のガイドさんと、おびただしい量の観光客がこの乗り場に集結しており大混雑に揉まれることを覚悟しなくてはいけません。

我々は集合時刻になっても予定のバスが見つけられず狼狽えていましたが、ガイドさんが大きな声で参加者名を読み上げてくれたため、無事にツアーに参加することができました。

ガイドさんはFrederickさんといい、中国語、英語、日本語、いずれも流暢でユーモアがあり、声の良く通る方でした。
観光地の説明はわかりやすく丁寧で、日本文化をどのように英語に翻訳したらいいのかがとても参考になりましたし、LINEで集合時間や立ち寄り先の丁寧な案内を送っていただけたので、行動予定をたてるのにとても助かりました。
気配りも素晴らしい方で、体調や解説の理解度を何度もさりげなく確認に来ていただけたこともあり、同行者も大いに京都奈良を楽しむことが出来ました。

京都エリアでのフリータイムが大きくとってあるので、食事や休憩、お土産物探し、写真や動画撮影を自分のペースで挟むことが容易です。
清水寺、伏見稲荷大社界隈を体力と相談しながら観光できるので、6月初旬としてはとても暑い日でしたが無事に散策を終えることができました。

奈良公園での散策時間は道路交通状況に大きく左右されるようでしたが、我々のツアーは余裕のある時間に到着し、鹿とのふれあいを楽しんだり、念願だった東大寺大仏殿への拝観が叶いました。

朝出発、夕方終了のツアーとしては、非常に効率よく京都奈良を巡ることができます。
帰着先は大阪なんばエリアなので、新幹線、食事、宿泊、いずれの選択肢も多くとてもありがたい場所になります。

また機会があれば、こちらの会社のツアーに申し込んでみたいです。

Since we were the only Japanese people, the conversations on the bus were in Chinese the whole time, which made me feel like I was in a foreign country. They provided us with information about the meeting time and place, but I felt uneasy on the bus. I wished they could at least provide a Japanese translation of what they were discussing. Previously, on a tour in Yokohama, a Japanese person guided us, so I was expecting something similar. This experience makes me reconsider participating in tours in the future.

Thank you for the easy-to-understand and polite guidance. The course included all the places I wanted to visit, which was great. My goal was to collect goshuin (temple seals). I believe I can continue to stay healthy with the sacred water from Otowa Waterfall.

I was worried about the tour being in English, especially if it was fast-paced and native. What if we were the only Japanese travelers? I was anxious about that. I heard that Japanese was spoken, but what if foreigners spoke broken Japanese?

Language was my biggest concern, but on the day of the tour, I was relieved to find a Japanese guide. There were also a few other Japanese travelers besides us, which really put my mind at ease! The tour involved quite a bit of walking, so I was tired, but it was a great trip. Thank you! 😊

英語でのツアーということで、ネイティブで早口な英語だったらどうしようか？　旅行者も日本人が自分達だけだったら？？不安でした。日本語は通じるようですが、外国の方でカタコトの日本語だったらどうしようか？
言葉が一番心配でしたが、当日日本人の方でホッと安心しました。旅行者側にも我々以外にも日本人の方が何組かいらしてひとまず、本当に安心しました！！内容は結構歩きましたから、疲れはしたものの良い旅ができました。ありがとうございます😊

I participated in a tour on the weekend after Golden Week. Since I went to the Expo, I decided to join a tour of Shiga, a place I don't often have the opportunity to visit. Although it was the weekend, there were only about 10 people in total.

We joined as a pair, but everyone else was Chinese... The driver mentioned that he couldn't provide guidance in Japanese, so we were given a printed sheet with explanations of the tourist spots.

【Disappointing Points】
- Not at the meeting time
→ The meeting place was used for various tours, and I asked around but couldn't find anyone. Since time had passed, I finally managed to connect by calling on my mobile. It would be helpful to have something like a card to make it clearer.

- If it's for foreigners, I wish that was clearly stated
→ The driver was fluent in Japanese, but he said he was called in at the last minute because there were Japanese participants. Since all the sightseeing spots were free to explore, it wasn't a problem, but it was a bit intimidating.

- All entrance fees were out of pocket
→ It's often included in the tour price, so that was disappointing.

【Positive Points】
- The places we visited were ones I couldn't easily reach on my own, so it was great to be able to see them efficiently.

- All the tourist spots were wonderful. I enjoyed the art, the scenery, and the food. There were also many photogenic locations.

- The tour ended an hour earlier than planned, which gave us some extra time afterward.

As long as it operates safely, that's what matters, but I feel like there's a big variance in the quality of tours, so I think I'll be more careful when applying in the future.

GW明けの週末に参加。万博に行ったので、ついでにあまり行く機会のない滋賀のツアーにしました。週末でしたが、10名くらいの少人数でした。
2名で参加しましたが、私たち以外は全員中国人でした…運転手さんも日本人向けの案内は出来ないとのことで、観光場所の説明が書かれた紙を印刷して渡されました。
【残念な点】
・集合時間にいない
→色んなツアーの集合場所になっていて、片っ端から声かけましたが見つからず。時間すぎたので、携帯に電話してやっと合流できました。カードを持つとか、分かりやすくしてほしい。

・外国人用なら、その旨明記してほしい
→運転手さんは日本語堪能でしたが、日本人がいるので急遽呼ばれたと言っていました。
観光場所は全て自由行動だったので問題はありませんでしたが、気後れしました。。

・入場料が全て実費
→ツアー代に含まれている事が多いので残念でした。

【良かった点】
・なかなか自力で行けない場所ばかりだったので、効率よく回れて良かった。

・観光した場所は、全て良かった。美術品に景色やごはん等満喫した。フォトジェニックな場所も多い。

・予定より1時間早く終了したので、そのあとの時間に余裕ができた。

安全に催行されればそれでいいのですが、ツアーによって当たり外れが大きい気がしているので、今後は申し込む際に注意しようと思います。。

It was great to be able to sightsee efficiently. I was right to sign up for this tour. I think it would have been difficult to travel around on my own. Since it was a tour with lunch included, I didn't have to worry about meals, and the content was fulfilling. Our guide, Hal, was very kind and provided guidance in both Japanese and English. I haven't actually been there myself, but I made a reservation for my parents. They were happy to go to the places they wanted without any confusion. It was also great that the schedule was manageable and they seemed to enjoy each sightseeing spot.

実際に私は行っていませんが、親の為に予約しました。本人達も行きたい所へ迷わず行けて喜んでいました。またスケジュールにも無理がなく各観光地を楽しめたようで良かったです。

There were only the two of us who were Japanese, but thanks to our guide Andrew's attentiveness and the schedule going as planned, we had a great time.

My stay at the hotel in Kyoto was for three days, but I only had one day to relax and there were so many places I wanted to visit... Among them, this tour was the most enjoyable! 😀 I usually walk with a cane, so I was a bit anxious, but I was able to enjoy the tour until the end without any issues. ✨ The Arashiyama Bamboo Grove was especially beautiful.

The view was great and the schedule was generally on time. Since there aren't many services, you have to plan your activities accordingly. You can't visit multiple places. I wanted to guide my overseas friends, so I was hoping for more commentary during the operation, but there wasn't much.

見晴らしよく概ね時刻通りなところほよかったです。運行本数が多くないのでそれに合わせた行動になります。何か所もは回れません。また、海外の友人を案内したかったので運行中のガイド/解説を期待していましたがあまりありませんでした。

I signed up for the tour as a solo participant, and since it was an English and Japanese tour, it also helped me study English. There were quite a few foreign participants, and I enjoyed talking and interacting with them during the tour. I think it would be difficult to visit so many sightseeing spots in one day on my own, so I was able to see many famous attractions in Kyoto, and although it was a tight schedule, I had a great time. The guide was very kind and shared stories about history and explanations of the highlights, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The plan included lunch, and I was able to eat a lot of delicious Kyoto cuisine. The driver also navigated the narrow streets of Kyoto safely. I am extremely satisfied. Thank you very much!

1人参加でツアーを申込みましたが、英語✕日本語ツアーなので、英語の勉強にもなりました。外国人の参加者が多めでしたが、同じツアーに参加されていた外国の方とも楽しくお話しできて交流ができたのも楽しかったです。自分自身でこれだけの観光地を1日で周るのは難しいと思うので、見どころ満載の京都の有名観光地をそれぞれ見ることが出来て、ハードスケジュールではありましたが、とても楽しめました。ガイドさんもとても優しく接してくれ、歴史のお話やみどころの説明等していただき、より楽しむことができました。またランチ付きのプランでとても美味しい京料理をお腹いっぱい食べることができました。運転手の方も京都の狭い道も多かったのですが、安全運転でした。大大大満足です。本当にありがとうございました。

After considering several companies to efficiently explore Kyoto, I chose a course that I liked and participated. There were 31 foreigners and 5 Japanese participants, but the guide was a woman who spoke several languages, and it was a very polite and comfortable tour. Everyone adhered to the meeting time and had good manners, resulting in a high level of satisfaction. As a result, I have booked a one-day tour in Nara with this company for the next time.

京都のポイントを効率よく回る為に数社検討の末、コースが気に入り参加。外国人31人日本人5人でしたが、ガイドは数カ国話せる女性の方で、とても丁寧で快適なツアーでした。皆さん集合時間厳守で社内マナーも良く、満足度が高かったです。結果、次回もこの会社で奈良での1日ツアーを申し込みました。

A bit difficult to access from Kyoto City, Amanohashidate and Ine. This time, I participated in a tour along with foreign visitors. We were the only Japanese. The guide mainly spoke English, but came to our seats to explain necessary information in Japanese.

The weather was nice that day, and we were able to enjoy the scenery of Amanohashidate and the quiet streets of Ine. In Amanohashidate, we had about two and a half hours of free time, and after a 20-minute cruise in Ine, we had about 30 minutes to explore freely.

While strolling in Amanohashidate, I went out to the beach and was healed by the beautiful and calm sea. Despite most participants being foreign, everyone gathered on time, making the experience very smooth.

京都市内からはちょっとアクセスしにくい天橋立と伊根。
今回、外国の方に混じってツアーに参加しました。日本人は私達のみ。ガイドさんは英語メインでしたが、必要なことは私達の座席まで来てくれ、日本語で説明してくれました。
当日は天気もよく、天橋立の景色や伊根の静かな街並みを楽しむことができました。
天橋立では2時間半ほどのフリータイム、伊根は20分程度のクルーズの後、30分ほど自由に散策という感じでした。
天橋立では散策しながら海水浴場へ出て、キレイで穏やかな海に癒されました。
外国の方がほとんどにもかかわらず、皆さん時間を守って集合していて、非常にスムーズでした。

We planned to spend a day sightseeing in Kyoto, initially intending to get around by bus and train on our own. However, considering the transfers and limited time, we decided to book a tour for our family of four to make the most of our visit. The bus transportation meant we didn't have to walk much, and we could leave our purchased souvenirs on the bus while visiting the next location, so we were really glad we signed up. Our guide was also very pleasant and kind!

京都は1日観光予定、最初は自分達でバスや電車で回る予定でした。
が、乗り継ぎを考え時間も限られる中、効率よく回れるなら、と家族4人で申し込みました。
バスでの移動のため、歩かなくて良く、買ったお土産をバスの中に置き次の場所を回れるし、申し込んで本当に良かったです。
ガイドさんもとても感じ良く親切でした！

The arrival time was more than 20 minutes late, and instead of being able to stay at each location for 50 minutes, we only had about 30 minutes. This significantly reduced the benefits of taking this bus, for which we paid a high price to travel.

到着時間が20分以上遅く、50分あるはずが各場所に30分ほどしか滞在できなかったりしました。わざわざ高いお金を出して移動してるこのバスでのメリットが半減しました。

Anyway, the guide Masa was amazing! He was always smiling and handled everything efficiently, making for a fun and safe tour without any waste. There were many foreigners, and the guidance was in English (with important parts also explained in Japanese), which added to the charm and made it enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour!

There was an explanation in both English and Japanese, which helped with my listening skills in English. At the landmarks, we were sure to take photos, and since I participated with two friends, it was great to be able to take pictures of the three of us together.

The weather was nice, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and the temple against the blue sky was beautiful. It was great that we could travel by bus, store our luggage, and get close to the tourist spots. The tempura and yudofu for lunch were also delicious. It was fun to be on the same tour with foreigners, and the guide's explanations in both English and Japanese helped me understand the English expressions. The guide was cheerful, which made the experience enjoyable.

天気良く桜が満開で、お寺と青い空が美しいです。バスで回れ荷物が置けて観光地の近くまで行けて良かった。お昼ご飯の天麩羅湯豆腐も美味しかったです。外国人と同じツアーでガイドさんの英語と日本語の説明で英語の表現がわかりガイドさんも陽気な人で楽しかったです。

We participated as a family of six. There were many international visitors, and we were the only Japanese. There were two guides; the male guide was with the Japan and America group in the front row, while the female guide was with the Korea group in the back row. We acted according to our groups. Our guide provided explanations in both Japanese and English, which was very helpful. She was very kind and took many photos for us. We were able to visit four places in one day, which was very meaningful. Everything was wonderful, but personally, I thought Kiyomizu-dera and the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove were the best. We were able to have a family trip full of memories. I am grateful to our guide and the driver.

I was able to visit four places in one day, which was very meaningful. Also, the lunch was very delicious, and I was satisfied. Since I have been to Kyoto several times, I could somewhat understand, but because it was a guided tour on a sightseeing bus, I wished the explanations of the tourist spots were also in Japanese. The entire tour guide was in English. I would have liked it to be clearly stated that there would be no explanations of the tourist spots in Japanese.

自分は何度も京都に来ているので、何とか理解できましたが、説書くの観光バスでの旅でしたから、観光地の説明は日本語でもしてほしかった。全て英語の観光案内でした。日本語の観光地説明はないと分かりやすく明記してほしかった。

There is a bus stop a little away from the tourist attractions, so I think there is a walking distance, but you can go to the places you want to visit. Unlike city buses, you can easily get around the tourist spots without getting lost. It was good that I had purchased my ticket in advance, so I didn't have to worry about not being able to get on due to it being full. If it rains, you can either ride on the first floor or get a poncho and ride on the second floor.

観光地の少し離れた場所にバス停があるから歩行距離はあると思うが、自分の行きたい所に行ける。市バスと違い、観光地回りのため迷わず行ける。前もってチケット購入している為、多くて乗れないとかがなくてよかった。雨が降ったら1階に乗るか、ポンチョをもらい2階に乗るかできる。
