The day before and on the day of our trip, we received courteous communication regarding the meeting place, and although our time was short at just four hours, the driver efficiently planned our schedule on the spot. With enjoyable conversations and guidance, we were able to visit the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, Kiyomizu-dera, and Fushimi Inari Taisha, which were all requested by my daughter who couldn't go on a school trip during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our family of four is very grateful 😊 If we have another opportunity, we would definitely like to make a reservation again!

We took a trip to Kyoto with three elderly people, and since they didn't want to walk much or participate in a bus tour, we decided on a five-hour course focusing mainly on Byodoin in Uji. It was great to have someone accompany us and take many photos.
At first, I was anxious about using a sightseeing taxi, as there are many companies to choose from. However, we decided on this sightseeing taxi service! A few days prior, they kindly suggested hidden gems for lunch and other places.
On the day of the trip, our driver, Mr. K, came to pick us up and kindly assisted the three elderly individuals, matching their pace. During the drive, we learned a lot of interesting trivia. He was great at conversation and kept us laughing, making the time fly by. The car was clean and felt like a new vehicle, and it was spacious enough for the four of us, which was nice!
Looking back, we wished we had taken more time to explore other places with such a fun and flexible sightseeing taxi. We wanted to hear more of Mr. K's detailed knowledge about sightseeing and his interesting life stories. Our family reminisced and laughed about it together.
If you're considering a sightseeing taxi for the first time, I highly recommend Koshin Taxi. I'm grateful to Mr. K, who was kind and had a great sense of humor, especially for those in their 80s with weakened legs. Although it was a short time, it was fulfilling. We plan to use this service again next year!

当日、運転手Kさんがお迎えに来て
高齢者の三名を親切に誘導してくれ、歩きも歩調も合わせてくれて、運転中も沢山の雑学知識を学びました。

It was a three-hour course, and since I requested to see the most beautiful autumn leaves, I was taken to Eikando. Our guide, who used to be a bus guide, provided information about each sightseeing spot, and my sister and I were able to take plenty of photos together. In the end, we visited four places, and my sister, who has difficulty walking, was very happy that it turned out to be a rich and fulfilling trip. We had lunch at Junsei, and finally visited Nanzen-ji before leaving Kyoto. I am truly satisfied.

At first, we thought we would just charter a taxi and explore on our own, but it turned out to be great with the driver providing a guided tour. We learned many interesting things that weren't in the brochures. Although the arrival of the Shinkansen was delayed, we were able to coordinate and meet up. Even though it was a short time, we managed to visit all the places we wanted to efficiently. I felt sorry that we didn't have time for lunch (and didn't let the driver take a break either).
最初はタクシーをチャーターするだけで自分達だけで観光すると思っていましたが運転手さんの観光ガイドつきで、知らない事やパンフレットには書いていない事も楽しく詳しく知ることができ良かったです。
新幹線の到着が遅れましたが連絡をとりながら落ち合うことができました。短い時間でしたが行きたい所も効率よく回ることができました。
時間がなくお昼もとらないまま(運転手さんにもとらせないまま)となってしまい申し訳なかったです。

It was a trip to Kyoto with my sister. We wanted to go to Kurama, so we used a sightseeing taxi. It was a great decision. The driver, Mr. Saito, was very attentive and considerate towards my sister, who has difficulty walking, and I was very grateful for that. Honestly, I had the image of being taken to tourist spots by taxi, waiting, and then being picked up again when I contacted them, like a shuttle service. However, when I actually used it, they first proposed an itinerary, accurately suggesting times and places to avoid an overly packed schedule, and they even provided guidance at the tourist spots, which was very kind of them. The price is quite reasonable for the service provided.
When I requested to have yudofu for lunch, they took me to a delicious restaurant that didn't require a reservation.

I requested to extend the stage for Hikaru-kun from Ishiyama-dera to Kyoto city for two people in their 80s, who are each other's in-laws. The explanations were very easy to understand, and we were able to sightsee efficiently. The air conditioning was always taken care of, and the lunch, which was the recommended curry soba from the driver, was excellent and made my parents very happy.

Due to some physical inconveniences, we opted for this plan, and thanks to the driver's excellent knowledge and service, it turned out to be an even more enjoyable experience than we had imagined. Unexpected heavy rain from the morning. However, I left everything to the driver, and it turned into a fun trip. The behind-the-scenes guidance was full of things I didn't know, which was very informative. For lunch, I had requested yudofu in advance and went to a place that was recommended, and it was just the best. The staff there were amazing too. My mother seemed so happy that she was almost in tears. It was tough at Kiyomizu-dera in the heavy rain, but Mr. Katayama kept saying he was sorry for the weather and asked us not to dislike Kyoto and to come back again. Choosing taxi sightseeing was definitely the right decision for this trip. Thank you for the day, Mr. Katayama.

During the three-day weekend in November, I visited Kyoto, which was experiencing overtourism. My mother and I did a lot of research on how to navigate the crowded tourist spots. Both private cars and public transportation were extremely congested, and taxis were hard to catch, so we decided to book a private sightseeing taxi. We were finally able to secure one through Veltra a month in advance. Although it was a three-hour rental, we were extremely satisfied. Our driver was a seasoned professional who was very knowledgeable about Kyoto, well-versed in its history, and skilled at storytelling. He also knew great places to eat, allowing us to smoothly visit all the sights we wanted! Even in crowded Kyoto, we were able to enjoy Ryozenji Temple, Imamiya Shrine, and Kodaiji Temple to the fullest, and I’m really glad we used the sightseeing taxi. It became a wonderful memory. I toured Kyoto city with my mother. The driver was very knowledgeable, so if we communicated where we wanted to go, he would suggest the time allocation and the order of the places to visit. I visited Kiyomizu-dera, Sanzen-in in Ohara, and Hōsen-in on a 7-hour course. Hōsen-in's garden looks like a framed painting. I enjoyed tea and traditional sweets while appreciating the garden, which was wonderful. The sound of the suikinkutsu was very soothing and refreshing for the soul. Although it takes time to visit Sanzen-in and Hōsen-in, the taxi ride was comfortable. Kiyomizu-dera was crowded, so we went early as suggested by the driver. On the way back to the hotel, we were also guided on a scenic tour of places like the Sanmon gate of Chion-in. I would love to come back again.
清水寺、大原三千院、宝泉院に７時間コースで行きました。宝泉院はお庭が額縁の絵のように見えます。お茶と和菓子をいただきお庭を楽しんでとても良かったです。水琴窟の音はとても良く心が洗われます。大原三千院と宝泉院は時間がかかりますがタクシーはゆったり乗れました。清水寺は混雑しており、ドライバーさんの提案で早い時間に行きました。ホテルへの帰りも知恩院の山門など車窓観光で案内していただきました。またきたいです。

I have visited Kyoto many times. Each time, I feel like I'm gradually experiencing the famous tourist spots. This time, I decided to indulge a little and have a different kind of trip. I took the Green Car on the Shinkansen! I booked a hotel two ranks higher, reserved a famous kaiseki restaurant, and hired a private sightseeing taxi.
The result is that while the Green Car is nice, the regular car is also sufficient these days. As long as the hotel meets a certain standard, breakfast might be the deciding factor. The meals were worth the price, and I was very satisfied to experience the depth of Kyoto's culinary arts.
Now, regarding the sightseeing taxi, I first shared my past sightseeing experiences and then left the rest to the driver. This was a great decision! First, we went to Sanzen-in in Ohara, which is difficult to access without a car, and it was truly wonderful! During the ride, the driver shared stories about Kyoto's history and the "complicated adult situations" of Kyoto today. I decided it would be more interesting to leave the rest of the trip in the driver's hands, and so it became an entrusted journey. I won't go into specifics.

今まで何回となく京都は足を運びました。そのたびに少しづつ有名な観光名所を消化する感じです。そして今回のテーマは少し贅沢をして今までとは違う旅をしようと決めました。新幹線はグリーンに！ホテルも2ランク上、著名な割烹も予約、そして貸し切り観光タクシーです。
結果はグリーンもよいですが普通車でも最近は十分です。ホテルも一定水準を満たしていれば朝食が勝負かもしれません。食事は値段相応で京都の料理人さんの奥深さに触れることができ大満足です。
さて観光タクシーまずは今までの観光経歴をお話ししあとはお任せしました。
これが大正解！まずは車でないと行き難い大原三千院へ、実に素晴らしい！車中でお話しいただく京都の歴史や現在にも及ぶ京都の「ややこしい大人の事情」のお話からこのドライバーさんにお任せしたほうがおもしろそうだと判断しその後はお任せの旅となりました。具体的には書きません。
ただ車を降りた時には夫婦で「これは安かった！お得！」と最初は贅沢な旅をと思いお願いしたのにも関わらず。
「こんな京都もあったんだ」 またお願いするつもりです。

I booked a sightseeing taxi for our trip to Kyoto with my mother, who has considerable difficulty with her legs, and it was a great decision! The guide was very skilled and provided detailed explanations of the sights visible from the car window, while also being considerate of my mother during our travels to the requested attractions.
When it seemed like my mother might not be able to manage a certain place, the guide kindly helped her pass the time, allowing us kids to explore on our own, which was reassuring. Since I requested a course with plenty of time, the guide mentioned that we could add more stops if we wanted, and whenever I suggested a place, he smoothly took us there. I don't think we could have navigated Kyoto as efficiently if we had rented a car, especially with all the one-way streets; I was truly impressed by the professionalism!
There were also some "small troubles" that became memorable moments, making this an unforgettable trip. If I were to request a sightseeing taxi again next time, I would definitely want to go with Koshin Taxi and ask for Matsui! Thank you so much!

It was a family summer vacation.
With a typhoon forecast, we had a short three hours, but we were taken to the long-awaited Kinkaku-ji and Ginkaku-ji.

I used a sightseeing taxi for the first time to tour Kyoto City as part of a stamp rally at the movie village. It was incredibly hot, so it was a great help. The driver understood our travel purpose and chatted easily, which made my daughter very happy. We were guided to a delicious lunch spot where we enjoyed affordable and tasty soba. We were also able to visit Kodaiji Temple and Sanjusangendo, which I had requested if we had enough time, and I was very satisfied. I only had a limited amount of time to sightsee before my return Shinkansen, and since I was with children, I wanted to make the most of it, so I requested a sightseeing taxi. It was my first time using this service, and I wasn't sure about the going rates, so I thought it might be a bit pricey. However, I was very satisfied and truly glad I made the request. The guide was knowledgeable and spoke well; even though I've been to Kyoto several times before, I learned so many new things, and time flew by. I would like to use this service again the next time I visit Kyoto.

I had a wonderful trip thanks to our guide and driver, Mr. Suzuki, who was incredibly attentive and showed us the hidden gems of Kyoto!
When I shared that it was my husband's family's first visit to Japan, along with their hometowns and interests, he picked out recommended sightseeing spots for us. Since we were traveling with a baby, he ensured safe driving and selected routes that suited the day's weather. It was very helpful to visit places we would never have thought of on our own.
At each location, he passionately shared historical stories, insights about Zen, and explanations about architectural features and name origins, which were very educational. Even if we had visited with a guidebook, I believe there would have been many things we wouldn't have understood or noticed. Having a guide made our time very meaningful.
I also appreciated the hospitality, such as taking family photos at recommended spots and lending us an umbrella. I would definitely like to request his services again when we visit Kyoto!

夫の家族が初めての日本滞在であること、出身地や興味のあることなどを伝えると、おすすめの観光地をピックアップしてくれました。赤ちゃん連れだったこともあり、安全運転はもちろん、その日の天候にも合わせたルートをセレクトしてくれました。自分たちではどんなにリサーチしても思いつかない場所で、大変ありがたかったです。
それぞれの場所でも歴史的な話や禅の話、建築物の見方や名前の由来など、とても情熱的に話してくれて勉強になりました。自分たちでガイドブックを読んで訪れたとしても、きっと分からないことやピンと来ないことが多いと思います。ガイドさんについてもらって、とても有意義な時間になりました。
おすすめの写真スポットで家族写真を撮ってくれたり、日傘を貸してくれたりなどのおもてなしも感謝です。是非また京都に行く際はお願いしたいです！

We used this service for our second visit to Kyoto in over a decade with our family of five. We wanted to visit Kifune Shrine, but thanks to our driver's advice, we changed our plans and were able to pray for our son's exam success at Kitano Tenmangu instead, which made for a fulfilling experience. Along the way, we were caught in an unexpected thunderstorm, and since we had a lot of luggage, I was really glad we chose a taxi tour.
The driver was considerate of the heat and provided cooling seats and salt tablets, which I appreciated. Since we were on a day trip from Osaka, we were able to enjoy sightseeing in the city efficiently and comfortably. I would like to use this service again.
家族5人で十数年ぶりに2度目の京都観光で利用しました。貴船神社に参拝したかったのですが、ドライバーさんのアドバイスもあり、予定変更して、かわりに北野天満宮で息子の試験合格祈願ができ充実した内容でした。途中、予報になかった雷雨に見舞われ、荷物も多かったので、タクシー観光にしていて本当に良かったと思いました。
車内でもドライバーさんが暑さを気にしてくださり、冷感シートや塩分補給のタブレットを用意してくださっていて、ありがたかったです。
大阪泊の日帰り京都観光でしたので、効率良く快適に市内観光できました。また利用したいと思います。
