Remarkably, the driver navigated through the crowd and climbed up and down the hill to retrieve it for me. I am grateful to Mr. Katayama. For lunch, we were taken to a delicious and charming restaurant, and the seven hours flew by in no time.

I have difficulty walking, and I was very scared about going sightseeing. However, using this chartered taxi changed my perspective. The driver who assisted our family was very considerate of my condition and parked at the closest parking lot to the tourist spots, and even moved the car closer for us. It was a family summer vacation.
With a typhoon forecast, we had a short three hours, but we were taken to the long-awaited Kinkaku-ji and Ginkaku-ji.
On the way back, the driver suggested a different station than the one we had planned, allowing us to have some extra time for our next train. The rest of the schedule also had plenty of time, and we were able to enjoy ourselves to the fullest.
I was really moved by this quick thinking!

I used a sightseeing taxi for the first time to tour Kyoto City as part of a stamp rally at the movie village. It was incredibly hot, so it was a great help. I only had a limited amount of time to sightsee before my return Shinkansen, and since I was with children, I wanted to make the most of it, so I requested a sightseeing taxi. I had a wonderful trip thanks to our guide and driver, Mr. Suzuki, who was incredibly attentive and showed us the hidden gems of Kyoto!

When I shared that it was my husband's family's first visit to Japan, along with their hometowns and interests, he picked out recommended sightseeing spots for us. Since we were traveling with a baby, he ensured safe driving and selected routes that suited the day's weather. It was very helpful to visit places we would never have thought of on our own.

At each location, he passionately shared historical stories, insights about Zen, and explanations about architectural features and name origins, which were very educational. Even if we had visited with a guidebook, I believe there would have been many things we wouldn't have understood or noticed. Having a guide made our time very meaningful.

I also appreciated the hospitality, such as taking family photos at recommended spots and lending us an umbrella. I would definitely like to request his services again when we visit Kyoto!

We used this service for our second visit to Kyoto in over a decade with our family of five. We wanted to visit Kifune Shrine, but thanks to our driver's advice, we changed our plans and were able to pray for our son's exam success at Kitano Tenmangu instead, which made for a fulfilling experience. Along the way, we were caught in an unexpected thunderstorm, and since we had a lot of luggage, I was really glad we chose a taxi tour.

The driver was considerate of the heat and provided cooling seats and salt tablets, which I appreciated. Since we were on a day trip from Osaka, we were able to enjoy sightseeing in the city efficiently and comfortably. I would like to use this service again.

On the morning of the tour, we received a message from our guide, Mr. Katayama, about the meeting place. His kind and pleasant demeanor put us at ease.

In addition to the places we requested in advance, such as Toji and Sanjusangendo, we also visited Toyokuni Shrine, Hōkō-ji, Nanzen-ji, and Chion-in. Not only did he share his extensive historical knowledge, but he also took us on a route where we could see famous sites from the car window. It was truly a comprehensive experience.

For lunch, he made a reservation for us, and we were guided to our table without any wait. The recommended chicken miso udon was a hit with the whole family, and the garden was beautiful as well.

Actually, my father, who has been having knee problems over the years, was worried about the strain on his legs during this trip to Kyoto. However, thanks to Mr. Katayama's consideration and his constant smile, it became an unforgettable journey for everyone.

当日朝、ガイドの片山さんからお迎え場所のご連絡があり、とてもご親切で感じのよい対応に安心しました。

事前に希望としてお伝えした東寺、三十三間堂に加え、豊国神社、方広寺、南禅寺、知恩院…歴史の知識はさることながら、それ以外に車窓から名所を辿れるルートを走って下さったり、本当に至れり尽くせりでした。
昼食もお店を予約して下さり、待つことなくご案内頂けました。おすすめの鶏みそうどんの味に、家族みな感動しました。庭もとてもきれいでした。

実は、年々膝が悪くなっていた父は、今回の京都旅でも足の負担を心配しておりました。しかし、片山さんのご配慮と終始笑顔でのご対応に、皆にとって忘れられない旅になりました。

Mr. Katayama, our driver, arrived on time at Kyoto Station. We had a four-hour free course, and it was really fun as he took us to places we wanted to go and even some we didn't know about. Additionally, Mr. Katayama is fluent in English. My husband is British and doesn't understand much Japanese. Mr. Katayama conversed with him in English and shared information as we walked slowly around. Both my husband and I were very satisfied. Thank you very much.

I wanted to take a day trip to Kyoto during my stay in Osaka, so I joined the tour with my partner, who doesn't understand Japanese. The tour itself was very satisfying as it efficiently covered the sightseeing spots! My partner seemed to enjoy it a lot, and I was glad we participated.

If I had to mention some dissatisfaction, it would be that Kinkaku-ji was too crowded with tourists, and because of the rain, everyone had umbrellas, making it very difficult to move around. We also didn't have much time, so we couldn't take our time to appreciate it. Additionally, someone on the same bus was always late for the meeting time, which meant we lost the time we were looking forward to at Todai-ji, and that was disappointing.

However, I included a plan that catered to my father, who loves Sakamoto Ryōma and the Shinsengumi. The day before, I received a confirmation call saying, "You might not be able to visit all the places, but you can discuss it with the driver." On the day of the tour, after talking with the driver, we were able to visit not only all the pick-up spots but also many places related to Sakamoto Ryōma, such as the path he frequented, the Ikedaya incident site, his last resting place, Nijo Castle, and the site of Honno-ji! I met up with my friends at Kyoto Station, and after being picked up by taxi just after 9 AM, we did some sightseeing and were taken to Kibune Beniyasan around 1 PM.

I had informed them in advance about a few places I wanted to visit, but I was surprised that they not only took us there but also provided detailed guidance at each location.

The timing was perfect, and they drove safely, showing gentlemanly behavior during boarding and alighting. They were the best guide!

It was definitely worth the money! If my friends and I had gone by rental car, the narrow roads to Kibune, where buses pass by, would have been difficult to drive, and we might not have made it in time... More importantly, it would have been hard to get everyone in the photos together.

It became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much!

We had plenty of time at each sightseeing location, so we could enjoy the sights at a leisurely pace. We arrived a bit late at the last sightseeing spot, Nara, and almost missed the visiting hours for Todai-ji, but the guide kindly led us partway in the rain to ensure we wouldn't get lost, and we made it just in time. On the third day of our trip to Kyoto, we used this taxi service as a family! It was early June, and the temperature in Kyoto reached 30°C on that day, so it was really great to have this option, especially since we had kids and luggage on our last day!

On the first and second days, the taxi drivers we had were quite chatty, and I prefer to have a quiet ride, so I was a bit anxious. However, the driver this time was very calm and composed, which was really nice!

In five hours, we were able to start at Arashiyama and visit Ryoan-ji, Kinkaku-ji, Kitano Tenmangu, and Yasaka Shrine! 京都旅行3日目に、こちらのタクシーを家族で利用しました！6月頭でしたが利用した日は京都では30℃と暑かったうえ、子供連れ最終日で荷物もあったので利用出来て本当に良かったです！
1日目、2日目と移動に使ったタクシーの運ちゃんが結構お喋りで移動中は静かに過ごしたいタイプだったので、不安でしたが運転手さんも、とても穏やかな方で運転も落ち着いていて本当に良かったです！

Family trip with two elementary school children and parents
We were picked up in front of the hotel, communicated the places we wanted to visit, and had a great time exploring! We also left lunch up to the driver, who introduced us to excellent Japanese cuisine.
Additionally, since we had a little extra time, we were taken to a place that wasn't originally on the itinerary.
The explanations at each sightseeing spot were also fantastic!

It would have been impossible for our family to have such a fulfilling sightseeing experience during Golden Week on our own, so it was definitely the right decision to ask for help. We will absolutely request this again next time!

I utilized the busy two days of Golden Week from May 2nd to 3rd. On the first day, we met at the Kyoto Bus Terminal, and with a lot of luggage, we comfortably traveled as a family of four in a Serena. We were guided to temples and gardens in the desired Shugakuin area. The explanations were excellent, and they taught us efficiently, even taking family photos at various spots, making for a relaxing and fulfilling day. The soba restaurant for lunch was also fantastic. In the evening, we were taken to our hotel near Kiyomizu-dera, and the next morning, we visited Kiyomizu-dera at 6 AM when it was less crowded. After that, we were picked up at 9 AM and leisurely visited Ninna-ji and Myoshin-ji, and after having a parent-child rice bowl, we were guided to Tenryu-ji, the Bamboo Grove, and Nonomiya Shrine in Arashiyama, despite the crowds during Golden Week. I was surprised by the number of foreigners in the town, but they managed a schedule that would have been impossible with a rental car, allowing us to fully enjoy our holiday. Our previous family taxi trip to Nagasaki in the fall was good, but this time it was even more fulfilling. I would like to use this service again.
