I saw whales, but they were much farther away than I expected, which was a bit disappointing. (However, it was fun if you think of it as a cruise.) It depends on the weather, but the boat sways a lot, so I think it would be tough unless you have a strong vestibular system. The meeting time is at 9:00, and roll call starts at 9:20, so I would appreciate it if they could provide a waiting room and chairs. I felt that the waiting time was too long.

I boarded with my 2-year-old child. As we left Naha Port and arrived at the point where the fish are, I was thrilled to see a sea turtle swimming right away! My child was also very happy, calling out "Turtle, turtle!" We were able to see a lot of coral reefs and fish, and it was great to see my child enjoying themselves. In the pre-trip briefing, it was mentioned that the visibility was 3 (cloudy but visible), but I think it was clearer than I had imagined. It wasn't as sharp as in an aquarium or underwater camera, but adults enjoyed it too.

About one-third of the passengers seemed to be struggling with seasickness. Our family took some motion sickness medication and had a fantastic time, though... We were on board with a TV crew from Singapore, and even the coordinator ended up feeling unwell.

However, we were thrilled to see the whales jumping (I heard it's called breaching), which is something you don't get to see often. The staff were also very kind, which was great. This is a tour I definitely want to include next time I visit Okinawa in winter.

シンガポールからのテレビ取材クルーと同乗でしたが、コーディネーターのうちなんちゅまでダウンしてましたよ。

I was able to see whales, but following the guide's advice, I purchased motion sickness medication and took it. However, I still felt a bit nauseous, and among the participants, there were some who were severely seasick and couldn't enjoy the whale watching at all.

We participated in a dinner cruise as a couple at the beginning of the year. To be honest, it wasn't delicious. The appetizers, main course, and buffet were all disappointing in taste. I understood why the cruise fee was low. It might be better to either raise the price a bit to improve the taste or switch to a buffet style to compete with variety. ← This is just my personal opinion. I think it was the shikuwasa beer? The food was delicious. The night view was beautiful. The live performance was great. However, the stars weren't clearly visible (laughs). The Moby Dick was amazing! The staff's efforts were evident! I want to ride again!

Finally, the long-awaited whale watching! I participated in this tour a year ago, but unfortunately, there was no encounter with whales... After a year, I can finally meet a whale!! They boast a 99% encounter rate with whales. I boarded the boat with high expectations. The sea was a bit rough, and the boat headed towards the Kerama Islands. My heart raced with anticipation as I waited inside the swaying boat. After a while, the boat's engine stopped. Is it finally time? I went outside. Other boats were also waiting around us. Excitement was building! I scanned the sea, waiting and watching. Five minutes, ten minutes, fifteen minutes... nothing appeared.... After about twenty minutes, it seemed we received a radio call, and we sped off to another point!! The boat was rocking like crazy. Is the captain Daigo...? Finally, we were freed from the intense rocking, and the boat stopped. Whale watching resumed. However, the whales still did not appear.... 待ちに待ったホエールウォッチング！とゆうのも１年前にもこのツアーに参加させてもらったのですが、残念ながらクジラとの遭遇は無し．．．。1年越しでクジラに会える！！なんでもクジラとの遭遇率９９％以上の謳い文句。期待して乗船。少々海の荒れる中、船は慶良間諸島方面へ。まだかまだかと心躍らせ、揺れる船内に待機。暫くして船のエンジンが停止。いよいよかと船外へ。周りの海上には他の船も待機。期待が高まります！今か今かと海を見渡します。５分、１０分、１５分…現れません....。２０分程して無線が入ったのか、別のポイントへエンジン全開！！船の揺れハンパないって。船長は大迫か....？ようやくこのハンパない揺れから解放され船は停止。ホエールウォッチング再開です。が、しかしクジラは現れず....。出港から時間もだいぶ経ち船内にも不穏な雰囲気が、と思いまわりを見渡したら．．．おい！みんな船酔いかよ！ここでスタッフからお知らせが。「８割以上の方がグロッキー様態なので帰港します」とのこと。スタッフの皆さんはお客様にクジラを見せてあげようと一生懸命だったし良い人ばかりでしたが....。私は毎年ホエールウォッチングに参加したとして、確率からこの先２００年は必ずクジラに遭遇出来ますかねぇ～。

I participated with friends, and it was everyone's first time doing SUP. On the day, the wind was strong and there were waves, and the instructor mentioned from the start, "If you can stand, that's great," and "Falling and getting wet is a given." Naturally, everyone fell quite a bit, but with careful guidance, by the end, everyone was able to stand. Even the friend who struggled the most said, "It was fun, I want to do it again."

Given the conditions, it seemed they prioritized safety, as I thought we were paddling quite a distance following the guidance, but it was shallow enough to stand no matter where we fell. Additionally, they provided life jackets and wetsuits, which gave us a lot of reassurance.

What was unfortunate was that I was so focused on watching the waves that I didn't have the leisure to enjoy the sunset. I'm sure if the conditions were calmer, it would have been more enjoyable. However, since we all enjoyed the SUP itself, no one complained. For the same reason, even though I brought a camera, I didn't have the opportunity to take photos. After some hesitation, I decided to request the separate 2500 yen photography option, and I think that was the right choice. If you want photos in similar bad conditions, it's safer to arrange for that in advance.

Despite the poor conditions, everyone expressed a desire to do SUP again. It became a great memory.

友人たちと参加しました。全員が初SUPです。
当日は風が強めで波もあり、インストラクターの方も初めから「立てれば上出来」「落ちて濡れるのは確実」とおっしゃるコンディションでした。当然、全員が落ちまくりでしたが、丁寧にご指導いただいて最終的にはみんな立つことができていました。一番立つのに苦労していた友人さえ、「楽しかった、またやりたい」とのことでした。
そんなコンディションなので安全面を重視していただいたのか、誘導に従ってかなりの範囲を漕いでるつもりだったのですが、どこで落ちても足がつく深さでした。その上、ライフジャケットやウェットスーツも貸していただけるので、とても安心感がありました。

惜しかったのは波を見るのに必死で、夕日を楽しむ余裕はとてもなかったことです。きっと穏やかなコンディションなら、楽しめるのかもしれません。SUP自体を楽しめたので、誰も文句は言っていませんでしたが。
同じ理由で、カメラを持っていっても撮る余裕はありませんでした。迷った末に、別途2500円の撮影オプションをお願いしていたのですが、これは正解だったと思います。同じような悪コンディションで写真がほしい場合は、お願いしておいた方が無難です。
悪コンディションにもかかわらず、全員がSUPをまたやりたいという感想です。いい思い出になりました。

For our 10th wedding anniversary, we spent a lot of money on a dinner cruise in Okinawa, but the decorations inside the boat blocked the windows, so we couldn't see outside. The food was disappointing as well, with some frozen items. It was tough...

You can go outside and move to the third floor to see outside, but after eating, I didn't feel like going back to the floor to listen to live music.

結婚10周年の沖縄旅行ということでディナークルーズディナーに高いお金を出して行ったのに、船内の電飾がじゃまで窓に移りこんで外は見えませんでした。食事も冷凍の物だったりと味もがっかり。これは辛い。。。
外に出て３階へ移動すれば外は見れますが、ご飯を食べたらフロアに戻って生歌を聞く気になれませんでした。
