In mid-January 2025, I participated in a SUP and snorkeling tour.

First, we experienced SUP! For the first five minutes, we received a lecture on how to ride the SUP and safety precautions on land, and then we hit the water! At first, it was difficult, but I gradually got the hang of it and was able to paddle faster. The wind felt nice, and I was healed by the sea. It was also great that we took a lot of photos to create memories.

After that, we changed locations by car for snorkeling. Since it was January, I was worried it might be cold, but the water temperature was warm, and I was able to borrow a wetsuit, so I wasn't cold at all.

During snorkeling, I encountered many different types and colorful fish. The beauty of the sea was better than that of Ishigaki Island and Miyako Island. The clarity was outstanding, as if I were inside a glass. Soon after, we spotted a sea turtle!! It was so cute to see the turtle during its feeding time and moments when it came up for air.

2025年1月中旬、SUPとシュノーケルツアーに参加しました。

まずはSUPから体験！はじめの5分程は陸にてSUPの乗り方・注意点などをレクチャーしてもらい、その後着水！初めは難しかったですが、だんだんコツを掴んで早く漕げるようになり、風も気持ちよく海に癒されました。 写真も沢山撮って頂いて思い出に残せたのも良かったです。

その後車で場所を変え、シュノーケリング。時期が1月ということで、寒いかな…と心配しておりましたが、水温は高めなのとウエットスーツをお借りでき、寒くなかったです◎

シュノーケルでは沢山の種類・色とりどりの魚と出会うことができました。海の綺麗さは、本島よりも石垣島よりも宮古島ですね。透明度は抜群でガラスの中に入っているかのようでした。そして、まもなくするととウミガメが！！ウミガメの食事タイムや息継ぎの瞬間を見れ、とても可愛いかったです。

I was struggling to find winter activities, but since I was staying on Iriomote Island, I decided to sign up for a night tour. This was a great decision!

It was a night after a light rain during the day, but the weather cleared up, and we were able to see a starry sky with shooting stars. At the viewing spot recommended by our guide, there was nothing obstructing our view, and it was a very soothing experience.

Then, we went on a night jungle tour. We were able to enjoy seeing coconut crabs, crayfish, and tropical plants, with our guide searching for and explaining them to us. I was also amazed by the guide's extensive knowledge! It was a valuable experience to feel connected to nature.

During the car ride, we were able to learn about life on Iriomote Island, making it a meaningful and enjoyable tour. I highly recommend it to anyone staying on Iriomote Island!

冬の季節のアクティビティに悩んでいたところ、せっかく西表島に泊まるということで、夜のツアーに申し込みました。これが大正解！

日中に小雨が降った夜でしたが、お天気が回復して満天の星空、流れ星も見ることができました。ガイドさんご自身がおすすめされている鑑賞スポットで、視界を遮るものがなく、とても癒される時間、場でした。

そして、夜のジャングルツアー。ヤシガニやザリガニ、南国ならではの植物など、ガイドさんが探して説明してくれて、楽しむことができました。ガイドさんの知識の多さにも驚きました！自然を感じる貴重な経験です。

車の中では西表島の生活のことなども伺うことができ、有意義で楽しいツアーで、西表島で宿泊される方には大変おすすめです！

It was a relaxing and heartwarming day trip. After arriving at Iriomote Island, the bus driver who took us from the port to Yufu Island entertained us with witty talk, filling the vehicle with laughter and smiles. Additionally, the water buffalo pulling the cart to Yufu Island had names, and we were introduced to their personalities, which was delightful.

On Taketomi Island, there are options for transportation such as rental bicycles and carts, but walking slowly allowed us to make many small discoveries. The sight of the water buffalo cart moving leisurely along the alleys surrounded by coral stone walls and flowers will remain a cherished memory of Taketomi Island.

のんびり、ほっこりできた日帰りツアーでした。
西表島に到着後、港から由布島までの移動でお世話になったバスドライバーの軽妙なトークで、車内は笑いと笑顔で満たされました。また、由布島までのんびりと牛車を引っ張る水牛くんには名前がついており、それぞれの性格まで紹介して頂き、ほっこりしました。
竹富島での移動にはレンタサイクルや牛車などがありますが、徒歩でゆっくり巡ったお陰で沢山の小さな発見がありました。珊瑚の石垣と花に囲まれた路地を歩きながら見た、水牛の牛車がのんびりと移動する様子は、竹富島の良い思い出として心に残りました。

When I participated, there was only the Jungle Night Tour. The guide shared stories about Ishigaki Island and taught us a lot about the local wildlife, which was very educational. It was fun to search for coconut crabs while shining a light up on the cliffs, as they were said to be located higher up. The tour lasted about an hour, and I was able to observe many creatures that I can't see in Honshu, which was really enjoyable. There was also a foreign couple participating, and the guide explained things in simple English, so it seemed like they were having a good time as well.

参加した時はジャングルナイトツアーのみだった。ガイドさんが石垣島についての話や、生き物の知識を教えてくれて大変勉強になった。ヤシガニが岩壁の上の方にいるとのことで、ライトで上の方を照らしながら探すのが楽しかった。1時間ほどのツアーだったが、本州では見られない生き物をたくさん観察できてとても楽しかった。外国人カップルも参加していたが、ガイドさんが簡単な英語で説明しており、本人たちも楽しめていたように感じた。

The Sefa Utaki and the Gangala Valley were mystical and very nice. It was a sunny day, so I had no trouble wearing sneakers. The temperature was mild enough that a sweater was sufficient, and I thought a raincoat would be handy if it rained. It seemed like the roads were crowded, so taking a bus tour was convenient without any waiting time. On the way back, I got off at Naha Airport, which made it very convenient to head home.

斎場御嶽、ガンガラーの谷は神秘的でとても良かったです。晴れの日だったので、スニーカーで楽々でした。気温はコートは要らず、セーターだけで充分。雨ならレインコートが有れば便利かと思いました。車は混み合うようで、バスツアーですと、待ち時間もなく楽でした。帰りは那覇空港で降りたので、そのまま帰れてとても便利でした。

It was a trip with a couple I traveled with for the first time. We had a taxi booked from the first day, and the driver was very kind, knowledgeable, and provided a wonderful guide. The taxi driver became one of the memorable parts of the trip. I even received a business card and would like to request him next time. Thank you very much. It was fantastic.

The main purpose of this trip was to ride the water buffalo cart, and I learned a lot from the explanations about the mangroves. Hearing about the unique natural formation of the subtropics and seeing it right in front of me made for a great experience. Riding the water buffalo was a first for me, and each buffalo had its own personality, which was fun. The tour was truly wonderful.

今回水牛車に乗るのが一番の目的でしたかか、マングローブについていろいろ説明を受けて勉強になりました。亜熱帯ならではの自然の成り立ちを聞き目の前に広がり、良い体験になりました。水牛車は初めての体験で乗る水牛によって個性があり楽しかったです。
ツアーは本当に素晴らしかったです。

It was my first time on Iriomote Island. We traveled by bus from the port to the cart station on Yufu Island, and the driver provided a really entertaining guide, making it a fun experience. The cart ride, the exploration of Yufu Island, and the lunch bento were all delicious. I definitely want to go back if I have the chance.

初めての西表島でした。港から由布島の
牛車乗り場まで、バスで移動でしたが運転士さんが凄い面白いガイドをしていただき楽しい時間でした。牛車も由布島の散策や昼食のお弁当も美味しいかったですね。又機会があれば是非行きたいところです。

It was pitch dark and hard to see my feet, and I had some worries about strange creatures suddenly appearing, but our guide Yuya was calm and reassuring, which made me feel incredibly safe. We found the eggs of the Japanese tree frog and peeked into the burrows of the land crabs, spending time like elementary school kids coming home from school, which was fun! I love night trekking, so I enjoyed wandering through the forest. It was great when everyone turned off their lights to gaze at the starry sky together. Next time, I want to find the Southern Cross. Thank you for a wonderful time!

真っ暗で足元が見えずらい、変な生き物が急に出てこないかなどの不安要素はありましたが、ガイドのユウヤさんが落ち着いた様子で案内してくれたので安心感が半端なかったです。モリアオガエルの卵を見つけたり、オカガニの巣穴を覗いてみたり、まるで学校帰りの小学生のような時間を過ごせました笑。夜のトレッキングが好きなので楽しく森を散策できました。星空を見る時、皆んなでライトを消して眺める時間があったのが良かったです。今度は南十字星を見つけたいです。素晴らしい時間をありがとうございました。

Since it's winter, I thought there might not be any coconut crabs around and that the stars might not be visible due to the clouds. However, we discovered a sky full of stars and found coconut crabs, while learning about other crabs, rare plants, and various things. It turned out to be a really enjoyable time! The kids were already having fun the moment we entered the jungle, and it became a wonderful memory.

冬なので、ヤシガニもいないかも？曇りが多くて星みえないかも？と思っていましたが、満天の星空にヤシガニも発見してもらって、ほかのカニや珍しい植物やいろいろな事を教えてもらいながらとっても楽しい時間になりました！
子供達もジャングルに入った瞬間からもう楽しい！と、とってもいい思い出になりました。

I participated in a night tour in Miyako Island! Since I came to the remote island, I was looking forward to enjoying the starry sky! As soon as the night tour started and I looked up at the sky, it was filled with stars! I was a bit worried because it had been cloudy during the day, but I was glad I could see the starry sky! The wildlife exploration was also enjoyable, as the guide introduced everything in detail! I would love to participate again!

離島に来たからには、星空を楽しみにしていました！ナイトツアースタートと同時に空を見上げると満点の星空が！
日中は曇っていたので、少し不安でしたが星空を見ることができてよかったです！
生き物散策も、ガイドさんが丁寧に紹介してくれるので楽しめました！
また参加したいと思いました！

The time spent at each sightseeing spot is far too short. There's nothing you can do except for using the restroom. Please allocate more time at the main locations.

Also, is there any way to improve the meals at Auntie Pozer's table? The main hamburger is too bland. The tempura of white fish has no flavor at all, and there are no seasonings like salt. The small noodle soup is too greasy. I felt that the variety of side dishes was just for the sake of having many.

If it's a sightseeing bus, please clean the windows every day. It's not a regular bus.

The person in charge should join the tour once to understand the feelings of the tourists and aim for improvements.

各々の観光地の滞在時間があまりにも短すぎです。トイレ以外何もできません。
メインの場所では時間をとってください。

あと、ポーザーおばさんの食卓での食事は何とかなりませんか?　メインのハンバーグの味が薄すぎます。白身の魚の天ぷらは何の味もしませんし、塩などの調味料すらありません。小さな麺のスープが油っこすぎです。おかずの種類がただ多いだけと感じました。

観光バスであれば毎日窓のガラスをきれいに拭いてください。路線バスではありません。

観光客の気持ちとなって責任者は一度ツアーに同行すべきです。そして改善を目指してください。

There were many types of corals and fish, and they provided a lot of explanations! The storytelling was excellent, easy to understand, and I had a great time. I was thrilled to encounter a sea turtle, which really boosted my excitement. Thank you very much!

During my first solo trip to Okinawa, I was unsure about renting a car since I didn't know the area. After hearing about bus tours from acquaintances who traveled to Okinawa, I did some research and read experiences from solo participants, which led me to decide to join a tour for efficient sightseeing.

Participating in the tour allowed me to visit the attractions I wanted to see in a cost-effective and efficient manner. The beautiful Okinawan sea, the Churaumi Aquarium, and the live performance at Ryukyu Village were all wonderful experiences. I also signed up for a dinner that included a shamisen live performance, as I wanted to enjoy local Okinawan cuisine.

Thanks to the driver who prioritized safe driving and the kind and attentive guide, I had a fantastic day. I was particularly impressed by the guide's efforts to communicate in Japanese, despite being unfamiliar with the language.

一人旅の初めての沖縄で、地理も分からずレンタカーを借りるか迷いました。沖縄を旅行した知人からバスツアーの話を聞き、色々と調べ、お一人様参加の体験談を読ませて頂き効率良く巡れそうと参加を決めました。実際に参加してみて、自分が回りたい観光地をコスパと効率良く巡れてます。沖縄の海をイメージして美ら海水族館に琉球村での生演奏、素晴らしいかったです。沖縄の地元料理堪能したかったので三味線ライブを味わるディナーも申し込みました。安全運転に努めて下さった運転手の方と親切丁寧なガイドの方の案内で素敵な一日を過ごせました。またガイド方の不慣れな日本で語学を駆使して活躍される姿がとても印象に残りました。

It felt like a little adventure as we walked down the path surrounded by dense, dark vegetation. During this time of year, the chances of encountering wildlife are low, but I was lucky enough to see two coconut crabs. Unfortunately, the starry sky was obscured and I couldn't see anything. I've heard that summer is a better time for stargazing, so I hope to come back in the summer for a second chance.

The guide had incredible knowledge about the flora and fauna, and I heard some fascinating stories. Also, I participated alone, but it was no problem at all.

真っ暗な草木が生い茂った道を進むので、ちょっとした探検気分でした。
この時期は生き物との遭遇率が低い中、運良く2匹もヤシガニが見れたのでラッキーでした。
ただ星空は曇りだったのか真っ暗で見えませんでした。
やはり夏の方が見えやすいとのことなのでいつか夏にリベンジしたいと思います。

ガイドさんの動植物の知識が凄く、面白い話が聞けました。
また、ひとり参加でしたが問題なかったです。

A three-person trip with my mother in her 80s and my two daughters in their 50s. Considering my elderly mother, we used a private sightseeing taxi. Traveling to multiple tourist spots was physically less burdensome, and we didn't feel rushed, which made the experience very relaxing. Additionally, it was great that the risk of infections like influenza is lower during this time. It was also convenient to leave our luggage and souvenirs in the car, allowing us to move around hands-free.

For two days, Mr. F from Okinoto Transportation was our driver. His safe driving, guiding, and attentiveness were all “professional”! Thanks to him, we had a safe and comfortable private sightseeing taxi trip.

80代母と50代娘二人の三人旅。高齢の母のことを考え貸切観光タクシーを利用しました。複数の観光地への移動も体力的に負担が少なく時間に追われることもなく気持ち的にとてもラクでした。またこの時期インフルエンザ等の感染症リスクが少なくなるのも良かったです。宿泊に伴う荷物やおみやげを車内に置き、手ぶらで動けるのもありがたかったです。

今回２日間、沖東交通のFさんが担当してくださいました。安全運転、ガイド案内、気配り等全てにおいて“プロ”でした！お陰様で安心・快適な貸切観光タクシーの旅でした。

They efficiently take you to the places you want to go and allow you to do what you want to do. I went cycling on Taketomi Island, but I was told to call 15 minutes before the meeting time if I got lost. However, there was no call beforehand. One person was not seen by the meeting time and missed the return ferry. I wonder if they managed to get back on their own? Please be careful.

行きたいところに効率よく連れて行って、やりたいことやらせてもらえます。
竹富島でサイクリングをしましたが、迷子になっなら集合時間15分前までに電話くださいね。と言われていましたが事前に電話がなかったのでしょう。お一人の方が集合時間になっても姿が見えず、帰りのフェリーに乗れませんでした。自力で帰られたのでしょうか？お気をつけください。

Compared to exploring freely with a rental car, it was a reasonable and efficient way to sightsee. The bus guide's explanations were very helpful!

I participated in the same tour last time and the tour guide was very good, so I signed up again this time. I was hoping for the same tour guide, but I was a bit disappointed and wished for a little more attentiveness.

前回同じコースで参加して添乗員さんがとても良かったので、今回も申し込みしました。
期待していた添乗員さんが､イマイチでもう少し気配りして欲しかったです。

As expected from a tour, there was an explanation about the island inside the ferry, and the mangrove tour was educational. The bus driver's stories on the way to the water buffalo cart station were also interesting. The stories and songs from the water buffalo handler had a local feel and were wonderful, and riding the water buffalo cart was a great experience.

On Taketomi Island, I was able to see the main spots in a bit of a rush using a rental bicycle.

Regarding the transfer between the terminal and the hotel, since I had a rental bicycle, even after returning on the 4 PM ferry, I was able to inform the counter and received a transfer to the hotel on the last service at 5 PM, allowing me to buy souvenirs at Euglena Mall.

流石ツアーだけあってフェリー内も島の説明があり、マングローブ巡りも説明が勉強になる。
水牛車乗り場までのバスの運転手さんの話も興味深い。
水牛使いの方の話も歌も地元感があって素晴らしいし、水牛車も良い体験でした。
竹富島はレンタルサイクルでちょっと駆け足気味で主なスポットは見てまわれました。

ターミナル～ホテル間の送迎について
レンタルサイクルだったので16時の船便で帰ってきてもカウンターで伝えたら17時の最終でホテル送迎をして貰えてユーグレナモールでお土産も買えました。

I was taken by bus and had some free time, which was enjoyable. I was also glad to be able to feed the dolphins (for an additional fee).

バスで連れていってもらえて自由時間もあり、楽しめました。
いるかさんにも餌(別料金)をあげれて良かったです。

I enjoyed the trip. the weather was bit windy and drizzling. The staff was very helpful and kind.

I think it was a tour with a fulfilling schedule that allowed us to enjoy the characteristics of each of the three islands. If I had to be picky, I would have liked a bit more time on Taketomi Island.

スケジュールが充実していて、3島それぞれの特徴を楽しめるツアーだったと思います。
欲を言えば、竹富島の滞在時間がもう少し長かったらと思いました。

It was very helpful to have someone waiting at the meeting place on time. If there are places you want to visit, you can let the driver know, and they will make a stop for you, so there were no particular issues. We did go a little over time (about 15 minutes) at the end, but there was no additional charge. The driver's driving was very comfortable and calm, so I don't think anyone who gets car sick needs to worry.

時間通りに待ち合わせる場所に待機してもらうことにとても助かりました。回りたいところがあれば運転手さんに伝えたら寄ってくれますので、特に困るところはありませんでした。最後に少し時間オーバー（15分ぐらい）しましたが、追加料金の請求はありませんでした。
運転手さんの運転はとても快適で、落ち着いていますので、車酔いの人でも心配は要らないと思います。

I had heard that many creatures are hard to find in winter, and true to that announcement (though I wished it weren't true), I didn't encounter the expected wildlife. What I did see was just a small part of a crab when I shone a light deep into a hole. A large and beautifully patterned moth called the Ootomoega fluttered around, occasionally landing on participants. Normally, I would want to swat away a moth, but everyone was captivated by this rare creature. You might think everyone would be disappointed, but that wasn't the case at all. The guide's explanations left a good impression, and we enjoyed the feeling of being part of an exploration team. Most importantly, that day offered a rare view of a starry sky in winter on Iriomote Island. I gazed silently at the countless stars I had never seen before, savoring a special feeling that only those who witnessed it could understand. The starry sky was truly beautiful, so if we could have sat back and enjoyed stargazing at the beach in addition to searching for wildlife, I think it would have been a ★5 experience.

Good photos are hard to come by, but I did capture one of the Ootanawatari, a fern that grows on trees and rocks, which was quite impressive.

冬ということで多くの生物には会えないとは聞いていましたが、このアナウンスを裏切ることなく(裏切ってほしかった)、期待の生物には出会えず。見れたのは……穴の奥の方をライトで照らすと小さなカニの一部。オオトモエガという大きくて美しい柄の蛾がヒラヒラと飛び、時折参加者に止まったり。ふだん蛾が飛んできたら払い除けたくなりますが、貴重な生物にみんなで見入ってしまいました。これではみんなガッカリと思われるでしょうが、そんなことはなく、ガイドさんの説明も好印象で、探検隊気分を楽しませてもらいました。そして、何よりもこの日は冬の西表島では貴重な満点の星空、見たこともない星の数に無言で天を仰ぎ、見た人にしか分からない特別感を満喫しました。星空が本当に綺麗だったので、ビーチでは生物探しだけでなく、ゆっくり座って星空鑑賞できれば、★5だったと思います。

こんな感じで良い写真はなかなか……オオタニワタリという樹木や岩に着生するシダ植物が結構迫力があり、こちらを掲載しました。

Due to the wind, we couldn't go to the Blue Cave, but we were taken to another spot. There were many tropical fish near the coral, and it was a great experience to see fish up close that you usually see in an aquarium! I even encountered a large sea turtle that I had never seen before; according to the guide, you only get to see one about once in every 20 times. They took photos at various points and checked in on how I was feeling, which made me feel secure throughout the experience! I want to go snorkeling again someday!

風の影響で青の洞窟には行けませんでしたが、別のスポットに案内していただきました。
サンゴ付近にたくさんの熱帯魚がいて、水族館で見るような魚たちを真近で見ることができてとても良い経験になりました！
見たことのない大きなサイズのウミガメに出会うこともできて、ガイドさんによると20回に1回くらいの確率でしか出会えないそう。
ポイントポイントで写真を撮っていただいたり、体調が悪くないかなどの声がけを細かくしてくれたので最後まで安心して過ごすことができました！
またいつかシュノーケリングやりたいです！

Thanks to the captain's skill, we were able to see the whales from a great spot. The staff also shared various stories, which increased our knowledge about whales.

船長さんの腕でいい位置でクジラさんが見れました。
スタッフの皆さんも色んなお話をしていただいてくじらうんちくが増えました。

The singing was great, and the explanations were well done. It was a fun bus tour. Thank you very much, including to the driver.

I applied after learning about Okinawa. I was wondering what to do for half a day, and this was definitely a great option. Both the bus guide and the local guide had a lot of experience, and I was able to spend my time efficiently.

沖縄についてから申し込みました。半日何しようかな〜と思ったらぜひ選択肢に。
バスガイドさんも現地ガイドさんもベテラン感あり、効率よい時間を過ごさせてもらいました。

On Sunday, I requested an 8-hour tour of Manzamo and the Chubu ruins. In the morning, I was picked up in front of the hotel, and I received a call to confirm my arrival. I communicated the places I wanted to visit during the ride, and we set off. As we headed north from Naha, we passed by a U.S. military base, and the drivers provided various explanations. They also explained the usage of the returned areas. Inside the vehicle, they had prepared sanpin tea, snacks, tissues, and umbrellas, which made it easy to travel despite the rain that day. For lunch, the driver introduced me to a roadside station where I enjoyed a seafood bowl, fish soup, and sea grapes, and I received sata andagi as a souvenir from the driver. Throughout the trip, they drove safely and took me directly to the places I wanted to visit. The travel distance was longer than I expected, and I realized it would be difficult to visit all the places I initially planned in one day, so we leisurely visited four locations over the 8 hours. On the way back, I was dropped off at Shuri Castle, and that concluded the tour. I appreciate that they arranged the vehicle for me despite the last-minute reservation.

日曜日、８時間コースで、万座毛と中部遺跡巡りをお願いしました。朝、ホテル前にピックアップ、電話で到着連絡いただき、社内で行きたい場所をお伝えして出発。那覇市内から北へ進むと米軍基地があり、ドライバーの方々色々と解説してくれました。返還地域の利用状況も説明いただきました。社内にさんぴん茶やお菓子、ティッシュや傘を用意してくれて、当日雨でしたが問題なく移動できました。お昼はドライバーの方に道の駅を紹介してもらい、海鮮丼、魚汁、海ぶどうを食べて、サーターアンダギーのお土産をドライバー方からもらいました。旅行中も安全運転で、行きたい場所に直行してくれました。思ったより移動距離があり、当初考えていた訪問先を回るのは１日では難しいと思ったので、ゆっくり4ヵ所を8時間かけてまわりました。帰りは首里城で降ろしてもらい、終了となりました。直前の予約でしたが、車をアレンジしてくれたので感謝しています。
