It was my first time trying stand-up paddleboarding, and the explanations were thorough and very easy to understand, making it enjoyable even for beginners! The water was shallow, so even if you fall, it's only about chest-deep! They were very accommodating, waiting for us if we weren't progressing as expected, and they kindly offered encouragement. When taking photos, they arranged us for the best positions and shots, resulting in many great pictures! This is a must-do when visiting Miyako Island! If I have the chance to go again, I would definitely like to participate again!

On my first visit to Miyako Island, I participated in a sunset SUP tour on the first day. The weather was a bit disappointing with many clouds, although it didn't rain, but everything else was very fulfilling! The instructor was very friendly and kind, which made it easy to enjoy the activity. Their teaching was thorough, and both of us were able to stand on the SUP without falling even once, which was a lot of fun.

At one point, we got off the SUP to explore a hill, and during our conversation there, we learned valuable information about Miyako Island's nature, recommended beaches, and shops. It was really enjoyable! We took photos on the hill with great views, creating lasting memories! Finally, lying back on the SUP and just relaxing was very soothing. I visited Miyako Island in mid-June.

Unfortunately, the weather was gloomy and drizzly, so I couldn't see the beautiful ocean of Miyako Island at its best. However, I hoped for a miracle to catch the sunset and decided to try the much-anticipated sunset SUP.

Around 7 PM, I entered the water from the beach on the SUP! That time of day, the sky was orange and the most beautiful.

As I paddled hard and got a little further out, the sun was hiding behind the clouds...

If the weather had been good, I think it would have been the perfect situation.

The instructor taught us how to ride the SUP carefully.

My friend and I are experienced, so we were paddling smoothly and quickly. SUP may seem simple, but it's fun.

However, it does use quite a bit of muscle. It's more about the legs than the arms.

My legs were really sore... especially my quadriceps.

I didn't feel cold in my swimsuit, though.

Since you kneel sometimes, it might be better to wear yoga leggings or rash guard leggings.

We started from the fishing port near the city, and it was a bit disappointing that the water wasn't that clear. I wonder if it was due to the weather or the season...?

SUPの乗り方については
インストラクターさんが丁寧に教えてくれます。

私と友人は経験者なのでスイスイで
ガンガン漕いでました。
SUPて地味ですが楽しいです。

ただ、結構、筋肉使います。
腕というよりは足ですね。

足がとても筋肉痛になりました…。
前腿が…。

服装は水着でも寒くはなかったかな。

一応、膝ついたりするから
ヨガスパッツとか、ラッシュガードスパッツは
履いていた方がいいかも。

市街地近くの漁港からスタートで、
なんか、海の水はそんなに綺麗ではなかったのが残念でした。
天気とか時期とかの問題かな・・・？

I originally planned to participate only in canyoning, but I suddenly added snorkeling in the afternoon! It was so much fun jumping in from various spots and sliding down the river like a waterslide! When I requested to have the scenery photographed, they kindly took pictures for me! I received about 140 photos and I'm very satisfied!

Also, the staff were very kind and easy to talk to, which made me feel that just spending the morning on Iriomote Island was not enough, so I quickly signed up for an additional plan in the afternoon! Even though it was a last-minute addition, they responded very politely and promptly, which was really great! Next time, I would like to sign up for a different plan, like canoeing! 😊

The conversations during the bus ride and throughout the experience were entertaining, making the time enjoyable from the start! During the experience, he shared information about the plants, and whenever we observed something curiously, he quickly explained it, which made me happy to learn more about Iriomote Island! At the end, when the waves turned against us and we were struggling to move forward, he immediately came to our aid and helped us, allowing us to finish comfortably. He was so cool! His attentiveness, communication, and consideration for others were truly wonderful, and he was a guide who didn’t seem like the youngest at all! I wish him all the best in his future endeavors! I took the ferry from Ishigaki Island at 8:30 and participated in canyoning on Iriomote Island.

The weather was cloudy with occasional rain, which made me a bit anxious, but I didn't feel too cold even in short sleeves and shorts!

After about a 10-minute walk, we arrived at the river and jumped right in! There were several places to jump and slides, and even half a day was enough to have a great time. The guide was also entertaining! It was really so much fun!!

On the way back, I was able to borrow a shower at the office. There are no shampoo, conditioner, or hair dryers, so it’s best to bring your own if you need them!

I’ll definitely recommend this to my friends when I get back!✌️

It was a canoe course around Yufu Island. There were more trees than I expected, and it was challenging to paddle through the jungle, haha. Not only during the canoeing but also during the car ride, I enjoyed the discussions about the wildlife of Iriomote and how the ditches and roads are designed for them! I also received recommendations for good restaurants in Ishigaki and Iriomote!

We came to Miyako Island for our honeymoon. Both of us were nervous since it was our first time trying stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), but the guide was kind and taught us well, so we were able to enjoy it with peace of mind! Unfortunately, it was cloudy, and we couldn't see the sunset, but it was great to paddle quietly in the calm waters. I thought standing up was the norm, but since the temperature was low and I definitely didn't want to fall in and get wet, I mostly stayed seated, and it was still plenty of fun. The guide was also very understanding and gently told us it was fine to stay seated, which was nice.

夫婦の新婚旅行で宮古島に来ました。2人とも初めてのSUPで緊張していましたが、ガイドの方が優しく教えてくれたので安心して楽しめました！生憎のくもりでサンセットは見れませんでしたが、波の穏やかなところで静かにSUPができてよかったです。立つのが普通と思っていましたが、気温が低く絶対に落ちて濡れたくなかったので、殆ど座ったままでしたが十分楽しかったです。ガイドの方も無理に立たせようとせず、座ったままでいいですよ、と優しく教えてくれたのでよかったです。

I participated in the Pumpkin Cave and Sea Turtle Snorkeling Tour. Since it was during the rainy season, the weather wasn't great, but I was able to see sea turtles. It was truly a happy time ^_^ The handsome staff member, Taro, really made the tour enjoyable. Thank you very much ^_^

This is definitely worth a visit.

At Shigira Beach, the chances of encountering sea turtles may decrease, but luckily, I was able to swim with one.

The sea kayaking to Pumpkin was not too challenging in terms of waves or distance, and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the caves. The two bows and claps were also performed by the guide from Yakushima, showing respect for nature.

The schedule varies depending on the tide conditions, so it may not be as listed. For reference, I will provide my schedule below. I almost lost heart due to the rain at the start, but the water temperature was not cold, and I was able to enjoy it fully! Thank you, guide Manami!

Due to the impact of COVID-19, there were many discrepancies between the information I found online and the actual situation, so I recommend asking the guide about the latest information on tourist spots and restaurants in Iriomote Island and Ishigaki Island.

I was a beginner at SUP, but the guide kindly taught me how to stand up, and I was able to take many wonderful photos. The spots where we took pictures were beautiful and known only to local guides. I chose the snorkeling and Pumpkin Cave plan! There was also a plan that included canoeing or SUP, but I wanted to extend my snorkeling time, so I went with this option. It was packed with experiences and I can't express how memorable it was.

This was my third time snorkeling in Okinawa, but I was amazed by the different sea compared to the main island and the Kerama Islands! Due to the weather, we went to a different spot than usual, but I still had a great time regardless of the sea turtles. The instructor was friendly and wonderful, taking her time to check on the participants and taking photos.

We went to Pumpkin Cave by canoe, and since I was participating alone, I felt safe riding along with the instructor, which was nice! My first canoeing experience was incredibly fun! Both snorkeling and canoeing were done while wearing life jackets, so I felt secure.

The Pumpkin Cave was impressive enough that I understood why it was called "Pumpkin," and I was surprisingly able to climb up and down, fully enjoying the adventure. Wearing a wetsuit made me feel more agile, so even someone like me who isn't very athletic could enjoy it without fear!

My first time in Miyako Island was a huge satisfaction!!

　沖縄でのシュノーケルはこれで3度目でしたが、本島や慶良間諸島でのとはまた違う海に感動しながら楽しめました！天気の関係で、いつもと違うスポットでしたが、ウミガメ関係なく楽しめました。インストラクターのおねえさんも、参加者の様子見ながらゆっくり進んだり写真撮ったりと気さくで素敵でした！
　パンプキン鍾乳洞までカヌーで行くのですが、1人参加の私はインストラクターさんと相乗りで安心でした笑 初めてのカヌーはめちゃくちゃ楽しかったです！シュノーケルもカヌーも救命用具つけながらなので安心です。
　パンプキン鍾乳洞も何故パンプキンなの？が分かるくらいの迫力があって、登ったり降りたりも意外とできてアドベンチャー満喫でした。ウェットスーツを着ると筋肉がしまるため、いつもよりは動きやすい感じもしたので運動音痴な自分でも恐がらず楽しめました！
　初の宮古島、大満足です！！
