My first time in Miyako Island. I requested a stargazing photo tour on Kurima Island, which I had been curious about. They helped me come up with various poses, and I was able to get wonderful photos under the starry sky that I could never have taken myself. (They even added wings to some of the photos!) I participated in late March, and I was first amazed by the perfect starry sky! It was a place on Miyako Island where the stars are particularly visible, and when I got out of the car after turning off the engine, I was momentarily stunned by how clearly I could see them! It felt like I was surrounded by stars. They used a special camera for the photos, taking about 30 seconds for the shutter, capturing images that you wouldn't normally be able to get. They took around 10 different shots and taught me various poses. On the way back, they kindly shared some hidden spots on the island, and they were friendly until the very end! I absolutely recommend it!

However, there were three disappointing things...

Before the Shisa-making experience, we listened to about 10 minutes of instructions, and then we were supposed to start working. But since we had another appointment, I tried to start while listening to the instructions...

The staff member lightly banged on the table and clearly spoke in an angry tone (llllllﾟДﾟ). I can understand why the staff would be upset...

I reflected that I should have asked first, "Is it okay if I work while listening since we have a tight schedule?"...

But...
It felt like they could have been a bit kinder, saying something like, "Are you in a hurry? If possible, please listen to the instructions (；´д｀）ノ." I ended up feeling a bit down from the start of the trip (- -;;).

The second point is...

体験はとっても楽しかったし、絵付けの難しさも分かったので、参加してよかったです～ヽ(｡･ω･｡)ﾉ

でも・・・ガッカリだったの事が３点ほど・・・

シーサー作り体験の前、10分ほど作り方の説明を聞き、説明が終わってから作業開始～と言う流れでしたが、次の予定も入っていた為、説明を聞きながら作ろうとしたら・・・

店員さんが机を軽くバンっ！！と叩き、明らかに怒っている口調(llllllﾟДﾟ)
そりゃ、店員さんが怒るのも分かる・・・・

「次の予定が迫っているから、作りながら聞いても良いですか～？」って、先に尋ねれば良かったなぁ～と、反省もしました・・・・

が・・・・
「急がれてるんですか？出来れば説明は聞いて下さい（；´д｀）ノ」
みたいな感じで、優しく接してくれても・・・・
って思い、旅行の出だしからブルーになりました(- -;;)

もう１点は・・・
シーサーをぶら下げて飾りたかったので「紐は頂けますか？」と、店員さんに聞くと「ぶら下げる紐は太いので、穴を大きめに開けて作って下さい」との回返答。
頂けるのだと思い、穴を大きめにあけて仕上げ♪♪♪

帰りに紐を頂こうとしたら「○○円になります」と、請求？？？
えっっっ？　
頂けるって聞いたんですけど・・・
紐が太いって言うから大きめに穴をあけて作ったんですけど・・・

・・・・でも、店員さんを怒らせてしまった負い目や、紐が思いのほか高価だった事もあり、そのまま持って帰りました（|||´□｀；）))))

最後の１点は・・・
シーサー作り中、一緒に行っていた友達が「大きめのシーサーが作りたいから粘土を買い足せますか？」と、聞くと「出来ません」との事。
後日、体験談を見ていると「１体分追加料金を払って２体作りました」との体験談を発見！！！！
えぇぇぇぇ！？
粘土・・・買い足せたの？？
２体作るって条件でしか買い足せないの？？？

・・・・まぁ～焼き時間の問題とかがあって断られたんでしょうが、理由を説明してくれても良いのでは(*_*)？？？

こちらが悪い事は招致しておりますが、楽しく、そしてブルーな体験になりました～ヾ(｡>﹏<｡)ﾉﾞ

But during the shoot, they used a penlight to draw in the air right there, and we took the photos together.

前日雨予報もあり、かなりソワソワしながら当日を迎えました。

宮古島なのでどこで星をみても綺麗なんですが、撮ってもらう場所はダントツで綺麗に感じました！
ホテル付近では見えない天の川がしっかりと見え、流れ星もすぐみる事ができました。

スタッフさんもとても親切で、島のオススメスポットを教えて下さったり、オススメポーズを指示して下さいました。

写真に羽を後から書いているのかなーと初めは思っていたのですが、、、

撮影してる時にペンライトを使ってその場で宙に書いて、一緒に撮影して下さいました。

え、そんなので綺麗な羽が出来るの！？
と、驚きましたが、写真を見てとても満足のいくもので更に驚きました。

天候によって良い日悪い日があるのと、場所が少しわかりづらいですが、大変オススメです！

It was my first time using this service, but I was able to check the instructions on DVD, and there were many sample works displayed, making it easy for beginners to create. Additionally, the staff was kind and regularly checked in on us, so we were able to create without any difficulties! That said, I do think a bit of sense is needed for the shape and color of the shisa itself. My girlfriend and I created it together, and it became a wonderful memory! Next, I would like to try glass-making as well.

There are many examples to choose from, so you can select what you like. First, I watched the DVD on making Shisa, and if I had any questions, I could ask the staff, which was more hands-off than I expected. But it was nice to have that freedom.

When I actually tried making it, I found it to be more difficult than I thought. It took about two and a half hours to make the Shisa and paint it until it was finished.

Still, the Shisa I made in my favorite shape and color became my favorite souvenir from Okinawa.

I arrived about 10 minutes early for my reservation, but everything was already prepared, and I was able to start right away. The instructions were all shown on a PC, and I was told to ask for help if I needed it. It was nice to have some distance instead of someone hovering over me. However, due to a shortage of staff, it took a while for someone to come when I called, and the explanations felt a bit impersonal, which was disappointing. It took about two hours from production to painting, but I was surprisingly pleased with how well it turned out.

I had a great time making a unique Shisa while following a sample made of clay and even adding color! It was a bit disappointing that I couldn't start making it without watching the video first, especially since time was limited.

We made small candles that where very cute. There's alot of glass pieces and different color sand and shells to choose from to make it how ever you want. The glasses pieces cost ¥300 ea on top of the reservation price so bring extra yen if you want to add a lot of things.

Since we arrived in Okinawa in the early afternoon, I thought I would quickly enjoy something typical of Okinawa and signed up for an experience. However... once we started making it, I got completely absorbed! I was so serious that I was sweating! (laughs) After watching the explanatory video, I was able to create it while looking at a sample, so even as a beginner, I felt at ease and had a lot of fun! If I have the opportunity to go to Okinawa again, I would like to make a partner for the Shisa I created this time!

It was quite difficult. I kneaded the clay and shaped it myself, even doing the painting. I thought they would teach me various things, but instead, I was shown a DVD and followed along with that. The style is to call the staff only when you don't understand something. I felt a bit abandoned at first, but I managed to do it reasonably well. It turns out that being left alone was just right! I realized that while doing it. I was focused the whole time. The sense of accomplishment when it was finished was incredible.

なかなか難しいです。土をこねて形を自分で作り、絵付けまでしました。色々と教えてくれるのかと思いきや、DVDを見せられ、それにそって進んでいきます。分からないときだけ店員さんを呼ぶと言うスタイルです。結構放置され最初は戸惑いましたが、それなりに出来るものですね。放置で丁度よいのですね！やってみてわかりました。こちらも終始集中してました。出来上がった時の達成感は、半端ないです。
