Even my middle schooler enjoyed it, and we had a great time as a family! I thought the activities would be all about adventure, but the limestone cave had a mysterious and solemn atmosphere. With the guide's explanations, I felt a sense of the sacred. Of course, there were plenty of adventure elements as well, and at the end of the cave, my courage was truly tested.

The sea kayaking required a bit of physical strength, but I felt a sense of accomplishment as we navigated through the rocks without being defeated by the waves to reach our destination.

Our handsome guide, Gen-chan, patiently taught us how to move at each step and provided explanations about the cave, which made us feel secure throughout the experience and doubled our enjoyment. It was a cloudy afternoon in February, but thanks to the wetsuits, we didn't feel cold at all. Although it was noted that there were no changing rooms or showers, we were able to wash our feet with a water hose.

I participated in a night tour on Iriomote Island for the first time. The course took us through two locations: the jungle and the seaside, allowing us to experience a completely different side of the island compared to during the day.

Since it was still February and quite cold, it was difficult to encounter the coconut crab and the Iriomote wildcat, but we did come across small scorpions, a rare patterned gecko, and a giant termite mound, among other creatures and subtropical plants that are not often seen.

Seeing an owl perched on the power lines is also unique to Iriomote Island. The night jungle, where we all moved forward with our lights searching for creatures, felt like a special time of exploration. Thank you, guide Macchan!

We crossed the sea to Yubu Island by water buffalo cart. On Yubu Island, we had about an hour of free time, which was enough to enjoy taking pictures with the water buffalo. The sightseeing at Yubu Island, which we reached by water buffalo cart, felt like no time at all during our one-hour stay. Of course, riding the water buffalo cart was fun, and I also took pictures with the water buffalo named Rui-kun and enjoyed gelato at a tea shop, experiencing the unique offerings of Yubu Island! The entire island is like a botanical garden, and just walking around was enjoyable!

The tour guides were also entertaining, and I was able to enjoy the tour, including their stories during our travels. I would love to participate in other activities as well!

The canoe tour the following morning became the best memory for my wife and me in five years. Our tour guide, Macchan, was very knowledgeable about Iriomote Island and taught us about the mangroves and fish, making it a very enjoyable experience beyond just the scenery.

Despite it being the day after the rain, the water was very clear, and we were able to see the fish. Handling the canoe was very easy, and even beginners can enjoy it.

We participated as a couple in our late 50s. Unfortunately, the weather was not great on the day of the tour, but we gathered at Shigira Beach at 9 AM for snorkeling. After that, we moved to a beach with caves and took a short break before adjusting our schedule flexibly to do sea kayaking and visit Pumpkin Cave before the weather worsened. The day before, the waves were high, and the kayaking and cave activities were canceled, so we were grateful that they managed to conduct the tour with some adjustments to the timing.

During snorkeling, we were able to see many tropical fish, including sea turtles, clownfish, butterflyfish, and unicornfish, which was wonderful. Miyako Island is highly recommended for its diverse fish species. Although it wasn't mentioned in the tour details, they provided wetsuits for us. However, it was still quite cold getting out of the water at this time of year, but the guide had prepared hot water in plastic bottles, which was a great help.

The sea kayaking to the cave was a bit challenging due to the higher waves that day, and it was quite tiring. I used muscles I don't usually use, so I experienced some muscle soreness the next day, haha.

Pumpkin Cave is a sacred place, and it seems that photography has been prohibited in recent years, so we couldn't bring cameras. シュノーケリングでは、ウミガメの他、隠れクマノミやチョウチョウウオ、ツノダシなど熱帯魚を多く見る事ができて良かった。宮古島は魚種がとても多くお薦めです。ツアー案内に記載ないですが、ウェットスーツは貸してくれます。それでも海から上がると、さすがにこの時期は寒かったのですが、ガイドの方がお湯の入ったペットボトルを用意してくれていて助かりました。
洞窟までのシーカヤックはこの日は波が少し高く、かなり疲れました。普段使わない筋肉を使うので翌日は筋肉痛w
パンプキン洞窟は神聖な場所なので近年撮影禁止になったそうで、カメラの持ち込みはできませんでした。撮影出来ないのはとても残念でしたが、パンプキン鍾乳石の奥も鍾乳洞が続いており、とても神秘的でスリリングな体験ができました。このようなツアーでしか、ここにはこれないと思いますので、このツアーに参加できて満足してます。

It was a truly valuable experience, feeling like I was on an adventure as I progressed in the pitch darkness, relying on the light from my flashlight. The guide found creatures unique to Iriomote Island, and during my visit, I was able to see scorpions and hermit crabs, which made me very satisfied. (It was a shame that I could only hear the owl's call nearby without seeing it!) The guide was great at storytelling, which made the experience enjoyable throughout. They provided lights and shoes, making it easy to participate, and I highly recommend it!

自力では絶対に入れないような草が生い茂ってる所から、草をかき分けて体を屈めながらジャングルの中へ。真っ暗闇の中でライトの明かりを頼りに進んでいき、本当に冒険しているような貴重な体験でした。ガイドさんが西表島ならではの生き物を見つけて下さり、私の参加回ではサソリやオカヤドカリを見ることが出来て大満足でした。（ふくろうは鳴き声だけが近くで聞こえていて、姿が見られなかったのが残念…！）

Unfortunately, we couldn't go to the Blue Cave due to the weather, but the snorkeling at the "Phantom Island" we were taken to instead was amazing! I received a thoughtful confirmation call the day before, which allowed me to look forward to the day with excitement.

The boat rocked a bit and made me feel a little seasick, but the underwater scenery was filled with the beautiful blue fish and coral unique to Okinawa, which quickly made me forget my discomfort. I was worried about the cold winter sea water, but thanks to the kind support from our guide, I was able to enjoy the experience throughout.

I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get to see a sea turtle, but the burger place and the yakiniku restaurant I was told about during the return ride were exceptional. I definitely want to go see sea turtles next time.

最初、水が冷たかったのですが直ぐに慣れて寒くなかったです。
泳ぎが苦手な子供達は浮き輪に捕まり進んでくれますので安心です。
綺麗なお魚や珊瑚がいて、特にウミヘビが見れて感動しました。
ガイドさんが体調確認を頻回にしてくれますので、子供達が居ましたが安心して私は夢中でお魚を見ることが出来ました。
冬でも、シュノーケリングが問題なく出来るのでお勧めです。

I did stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) in the morning and participated in a pumpkin cave tour in the afternoon. It was my first time doing SUP, but our guide, the dandy Gen-chan, taught us carefully, and I was able to grasp the techniques quickly. It was so much fun! On the way back to the parking lot after SUP, he also taught us about the plants of Miyako Island. I learned about plants I didn't know before, and I felt like I became more knowledgeable!

In the afternoon, I joined the pumpkin cave tour. When we canoed to the cave, I was able to apply my morning SUP experience right away! In reality, there were many rocky areas in the sea, and the wind was strong, making it difficult to progress. However, the guides provided advice along the way, and we were able to reach the cave safely.

自然が相手ですので天候の影響があることはもちろん承知していますが、冬は期待通りの結果が得られない可能性が高まるとなると話が変わってくると思います。このあたりはサイトにも明記してほしかったです。

ただ、ガイドのお姉さんは参加者に気を配りながら一生懸命生き物を探してくれましたし、そもそも冬の夜のジャングルに入る体験がまず味わえないので楽しかったです。出会えた生き物は熱帯らしい植物に加え、カニやカエル、サソリ、ナナフシの幼虫などでした。

This was my first experience with SUP. The rain stopped, and I got to enjoy my first time on the water. I wanted to spend more time relaxing and enjoying the connection between the sea and the sky. Unfortunately, I couldn't see many fish while paddling, which was a bit disappointing.

I signed up for a local tour that included these three activities, but each activity felt quite independent. It operated on a meet-up and disperse system, where after one activity, we had to gather at a specific time and place for the next. Between activities, there was time to warm up, eat, and use the restroom. Since I got too cold this time, I returned to the hotel after each activity to warm up with a shower and then left in time for the next one. After everything was done, I went back to the hotel to warm up again. I was glad I could do that.

ガイドはリョウマｻﾝ。お話上手で、持ち上げ上手。とても楽しいひとときを過ごしました。
ここしかないパンプキン鍾乳洞。興味があるならためらうことなく是非すぐにでも行くべくスポットの一つです。
SUP
初体験のSUPでした。
雨もやみSUP初体験。海と空との一体感、もっと長い時間、のんびりボーっとした時間を過ごしたかった。
SUPをしながら魚を殆ど見ることが出来なくて、その点では残念です。

３つのアクティビティが含まれている一つの現地ツアーを申し込みましたが、アクティビティ一つ一つが独立している感じ。現地集合現地解散システム、一つアクティビティが終わり次は何時にどこどこ集合、という進め方。アクティビティとアクティビティの間に体暖め、+食事にトイレに…。
今回は体が冷え過ぎたこともあり、アクティビティが終わる度にホテルに戻りシャワーで体暖めて、次の時間に間に合うように出発。終わったら再びホテルに戻り体を暖めて…。それができて良かったです。
