It was my first time in Okinawa, and I went kayaking! I had always wanted to see mangroves up close, so I was planning to make a reservation, but it turned out to be a sunset tour! I love nature and sunsets, and just thinking about it was amazing, so I booked it right away!

It was a very satisfying tour! Since I participated in winter, I was worried about the coldness of the sea, but I only felt cold at first; after that, being in the water felt warmer. It was my first time entering the Pumpkin Cave, and it was larger than I expected. I really enjoyed the explanations from the guide. Canoeing required more paddling than I thought, so I was exhausted after the tour, but that was also fun. It's a tour that brings you back to your childhood. The inside of the Pumpkin Cave is mystical, and I truly recommend visiting at least once.

With the guide's explanations, I felt a sense of the sacred. Of course, there were plenty of adventure elements as well, and at the end of the cave, my courage was truly tested.

The sea kayaking required a bit of physical strength, but I felt a sense of accomplishment as we navigated through the rocks without being defeated by the waves to reach our destination.

Our handsome guide, Gen-chan, patiently taught us how to move at each step and provided explanations about the cave, which made us feel secure throughout the experience and doubled our enjoyment. It was a cloudy afternoon in February, but thanks to the wetsuits, we didn't feel cold at all. Although it was noted that there were no changing rooms or showers, we were able to wash our feet with a water hose.

Since it was still February and quite cold, it was difficult to encounter the coconut crab and the Iriomote wildcat, but we did come across small scorpions, a rare patterned gecko, and a giant termite mound, among other creatures and subtropical plants that are not often seen.

The entire island is like a botanical garden, and just walking around was enjoyable!

The tour guides were also entertaining, and I was able to enjoy the tour, including their stories during our travels. I would love to participate in other activities as well!

The canoe tour the following morning became the best memory for my wife and me in five years. Our tour guide, Macchan, was very knowledgeable about Iriomote Island and taught us about the mangroves and fish, making it a very enjoyable experience beyond just the scenery.

Despite it being the day after the rain, the water was very clear, and we were able to see the fish. Handling the canoe was very easy, and even beginners can enjoy it.

After the tour, they also guided us to dining spots around Uehara Port. I would love to request their services again when we come back to Iriomote Island. It became a wonderful memory for my wife and me.

We participated as a couple in our late 50s. Unfortunately, the weather was not great on the day of the tour, but we gathered at Shigira Beach at 9 AM for snorkeling. After that, we moved to a beach with caves and took a short break before adjusting our schedule flexibly to do sea kayaking and visit Pumpkin Cave before the weather worsened. The day before, the waves were high, and the kayaking and cave activities were canceled, so we were grateful that they managed to conduct the tour with some adjustments to the timing.

During snorkeling, we were able to see many tropical fish, including sea turtles, clownfish, butterflyfish, and unicornfish, which was wonderful. Miyako Island is highly recommended for its diverse fish species. Although it wasn't mentioned in the tour details, they provided wetsuits for us. However, it was still quite cold getting out of the water at this time of year, but the guide had prepared hot water in plastic bottles, which was a great help.

The sea kayaking to the cave was a bit challenging due to the higher waves that day, and it was quite tiring. I used muscles I don't usually use, so I experienced some muscle soreness the next day, haha.

Pumpkin Cave is a sacred place, and it seems that photography has been prohibited in recent years, so we couldn't bring cameras. 当日はあいにくの天候でしたが、9時にシギラビーチ集合してシュノーケリング、そのまま洞窟のある浜に移動して少し休憩後にシーカヤックとパンプキン洞窟と、天候が酷くなる前に柔軟にスケジュール調整して催行頂きました。前日は波が高くカヤックと洞窟は催行中止になったそうなので、時間の工夫で催行頂けたのは有難かったです。
シュノーケリングでは、ウミガメの他、隠れクマノミやチョウチョウウオ、ツノダシなど熱帯魚を多く見る事ができて良かった。宮古島は魚種がとても多くお薦めです。ツアー案内に記載ないですが、ウェットスーツは貸してくれます。それでも海から上がると、さすがにこの時期は寒かったのですが、ガイドの方がお湯の入ったペットボトルを用意してくれていて助かりました。
洞窟までのシーカヤックはこの日は波が少し高く、かなり疲れました。普段使わない筋肉を使うので翌日は筋肉痛w
パンプキン洞窟は神聖な場所なので近年撮影禁止になったそうで、カメラの持ち込みはできませんでした。撮影出来ないのはとても残念でしたが、パンプキン鍾乳石の奥も鍾乳洞が続いており、とても神秘的でスリリングな体験ができました。このようなツアーでしか、ここにはこれないと思いますので、このツアーに参加できて満足してます。

The boat rocked a bit and made me feel a little seasick, but the underwater scenery was filled with the beautiful blue fish and coral unique to Okinawa, which quickly made me forget my discomfort. At the end of January, my family participated in a one-day tour. We were picked up at our hotel, and in the morning, we had a canoe experience. When we arrived at Kabira Bay, we were amazed by the beauty of the ocean. There were no other people around except for us, allowing us to fully enjoy the scenery. Even the children, who were experiencing this for the first time, were able to paddle without any issues.

For lunch, we had a break at the island terminal. We ate at our favorite restaurant and gathered back at the terminal at 1:30 PM. On that day, the wind was strong, so we couldn't go to the Blue Cave, but we had a snorkeling experience in Osaki Bay instead. At first, the water was cold, but I quickly got used to it and it wasn't cold anymore.

The children, who are not great swimmers, were able to hold onto floaties and move around comfortably, which was reassuring. There were beautiful fish and coral, and I was particularly impressed to see a sea snake. The guide frequently checked on our well-being, so even with the kids around, I was able to focus and enjoy watching the fish.

I highly recommend snorkeling even in winter, as it can be done without any problems.

ホテルまで迎えに来て貰い、午前中はカヌー体験です。
川平湾に到着して海の綺麗さに感動しました。人も私達以外は誰も居なくて景色を楽しむ事が出来ました。
初めて体験する子供達でも問題なく漕ぐことが出来ました。
お昼は離島ターミナルで一度解散です。好きなお店でお昼を食べて13:30に離島ターミナルに集合です。
当日は風が強く青の洞窟には行けませんでしたが大崎湾でシュノーケリング体験をしました。
最初、水が冷たかったのですが直ぐに慣れて寒くなかったです。
泳ぎが苦手な子供達は浮き輪に捕まり進んでくれますので安心です。
綺麗なお魚や珊瑚がいて、特にウミヘビが見れて感動しました。
ガイドさんが体調確認を頻回にしてくれますので、子供達が居ましたが安心して私は夢中でお魚を見ることが出来ました。
冬でも、シュノーケリングが問題なく出来るのでお勧めです。
