Schedule
Meet at Kazaguruma or get picked up at Uehara Port or hotel in West Iriomote
We’ll begin with a health check and tour briefing, followed by fitting rental items like shoes and backpacks. Please leave your valuables and bags with us. Once you’re ready, the tour begins!
We’ll explain how to paddle and get in the canoe. The canoes are stable, so even first-timers can enjoy the experience with confidence.
We’ll paddle along the upper Mare River and into the mangroves of the Hinai River, enjoying the scenery and taking photos at a relaxed pace.
Trek through the jungle to reach the top of Pinaisara Falls! Along the way, you may see unique wildlife and a grove of Sakishima suounoki trees. The guide will walk with you at a relaxed pace, offering easy-to-understand explanations about the surrounding nature.
Pinaisara Falls boasts the highest drop in Okinawa and is a popular spot where you can enjoy both mangrove canoeing and jungle trekking. Cool off with some fun in the natural pools around the falls and soak up the refreshing negative ions!
Arrive at the top of Pinaisara Falls! From this stunning viewpoint, you can see the lush mangroves along the Hinai River—the same route you paddled earlier—and even spot remote islands like Hateruma, Barasu, and Hatobanari in the distance.
Your guide will prepare a hot bowl of Yaeyama soba for a special “exciting lunch.” Enjoy this delicious local dish while taking in the stunning view—it's a meal you won't forget!
Pinaisara Falls, the tallest in Okinawa, offers the chance to swim in its basin. Float around with a life jacket and enjoy the cool water with your group. After the fun, relax with handmade local sweets prepared by your guide.
Hop back into your canoe and begin the return journey. Take your time and paddle at a relaxed pace—no need to rush! Your guide will also take photos during the ride.
Please use the showers and change clothes at Iriomote Canoe Tour Kazaguruma after the tour.
