Preparation & Lesson
Begin with a sightseeing boat ride along the Urauchi River, passing famous waterfalls such as Mariyudu Falls and Kanbire Falls. Then, head deep into the jungle toward Mayagusuku Falls with an experienced guide. A separate boat fee applies on the day of the tour.
The moment the view opens up and the majestic falls appear is truly unforgettable. Watch powerful water cascade over the terraced rocks of Mayagusuku Falls, considered the most beautiful waterfall on Iriomote Island, and enjoy a luxurious time surrounded by nature.

- Children 12 years old and above can participate in this activity.
- Trekking in high temperatures can be very demanding and requires good stamina and heat tolerance. Guests who are concerned are encouraged to prepare with exercise such as running.
Although the jungle offers shade, humidity can exceed 90%, and the course includes many ups and downs, increasing the risk of heatstroke. - If you have any medical conditions, injuries, or health concerns that may affect your participation, please inform us in advance. If you feel unwell on the day of the tour, please notify us beforehand.
Unreported conditions may result in immediate cancellation for safety reasons. We are not responsible for any incidents caused by pre-existing conditions or injuries. - Participation is not permitted under any circumstances if you have consumed alcohol. Drinking alcohol during the tour is strictly prohibited.
- Participation is generally not permitted for guests who are pregnant. However, depending on the stage of pregnancy and the tour details, participation may be considered. Please feel free to contact us for consultation.

Pick-up is available for guests staying in the western area, including Funauki, Uehara, Urauchi, Hoshidate, Sonai, and Shirahama.
Guests staying in the eastern area are asked to contact us in advance. - If Uehara Port Is Closed
Sailings to Uehara Port are often canceled in winter or during rough seas. In this case, ferries operate to Ohara Port with a temporary bus service to Uehara.
Please purchase a Uehara ticket and request a bus ticket from the staff when boarding. If unsure, contact Iriomote Island Jungle Book before boarding. - Tour Operation Policy
