It was my first experience, and I was very nervous, but I was able to relax thanks to the smiling support of our guide, Ishii. As we paddled through the mangrove forest in the canoe, I was able to experience the dynamism of nature and the diversity of living creatures. The explanations were clear, and I had a very fulfilling and enjoyable time.

It was held under a cloudy sky with little moonlight, but the guide's explanations were very kind, making it a fun time even for children. Walking through the pitch-black thicket might feel scary compared to the well-lit streets for some people. They provide non-slip shoes and flashlights for rent.

On Yubu Island, the relaxed demeanor of the water buffalo is truly soothing. The staff were kind and interacted with them in a way that brought out their enthusiasm, which was lovely to see. I was moved by the beauty of nature when I saw the golden chrysalis of the Papilio butterfly in the butterfly garden! The mangrove cruise allows the boat to get quite close, providing a rare view that you can't see in Honshu. Although the tour starts early, you can enjoy a full day of activities, making it very fulfilling.

In a short amount of time, I was able to efficiently tour the islands, seeing various sights such as the Iriomote Mangrove Cruise, the water buffalo cart in Yufu, and the star sand beach in Taketomi through a bus tour. The buffet lunch was also great. I was back at the ferry terminal by 3:30 PM, which allowed me to take a bus to the Tamatorizaki Observatory. Thank you very much.

I considered sightseeing without a rental car, but since transportation options were limited, I decided to join a tour. It allows you to explore Mishima very efficiently. The bus driver's stories on Iriomote Island were very enjoyable and memorable. I felt a bit sorry for the water buffalo, as its lack of motivation was evident in its walking style, but I was grateful for the leisurely time I got to spend with Genki the water buffalo! On the way back, it was a girl instead of Genki, but the ride was very smooth, and we arrived first.

I was moved to actually see and experience the scenery I had seen in books and encyclopedias as a child. I truly realized that you can't understand the air and scents unless you visit. Due to the impact of the typhoon, it was a day with on-and-off rain. I was able to enjoy my long-awaited visit to Iriomote Island and Yufu Island, but it was disappointing that I couldn't go cycling on Taketomi Island because of the rain. I think it would be great if there were options to switch to bus tours or discounts at restaurants for rainy days, allowing for enjoyable plans even when it rains. I was worried about whether the tour would proceed due to the approaching typhoon, but they contacted me the day before to explain the conditions under which it would be canceled and provided important information, which made me feel at ease to participate.

As we paddled along the calm waters, I felt the grandeur of the natural beauty of Iriomote Island, a UNESCO World Heritage site, up close, and I was moved by the breathtaking scenery multiple times.

It was an irreplaceable experience. It was unfortunate that there was wind and rain due to the typhoon, but I enjoyed a very delicious lunch with Ishigaki cuisine. It was my first time on a water buffalo cart, and listening to the sanshin performance was a soothing time. I recommend this tour for anyone going to Ishigaki Island.

The mangrove cruise passed by in no time, making me forget the passage of time. The water buffalo worked hard to pull the cart to Yubu Island, and they were very clever and diligent. The island was full of plants and connected to the beach, allowing us to have a fun time.
I was disappointed with the buffet for lunch, but the oil soba I tried without expectations was incredibly delicious—was it the magic of shikwasa?
The only downside was the rental bicycles on Taketomi Island; while I could tolerate the worn and rusty ones, the handlebars were crooked, making it very difficult to ride after not cycling for a while.
According to reviews, the fresh mango smoothie at Chirorin Village is the best! I also wanted to try the fresh pineapple smoothie...

I especially enjoyed the bus driver's stories based on his real experiences on Iriomote Island; they were interesting and entertaining. I think he might have exaggerated a bit, but I was impressed by his calm way of speaking and how he wrapped up his stories with a punchline. I thought this was really insightful and listened intently. As for the ferry returning from Taketomi Island to Ishigaki Island, the boarding area was hard to find. There were no announcements at the waiting area, so we almost missed the boat. I wonder if there were others who missed it too.

We were greeted by the Pipi Adventure team at Uehara Port. They were a young and very friendly team. We were divided into several small groups. The guide took us by car to the starting point of the canoe trip. We were given a few quick explanations for beginners, and then we were off on our 1.5-hour canoe trip. Kengo was our guide for the half day. He's an awesome guide! He speaks English well and his explanations are clear, ideal for English speakers. Our only regret is not booking a full day!

The snorkeling and mangrove SAP tour on Balas Island was unexpectedly changed to canyoning and a mangrove canoe tour due to bad weather. I didn't know what canyoning was, but I chose it because it seemed more active than the water buffalo tour. In the end, it was a great decision! It was truly an extraordinary experience. Have you ever jumped into a waterfall, gone river rafting, or climbed rocks? We are two timid people, but with the encouragement of our guide and the other participants, we managed to complete it!
I was also amazed that we would paddle through such a vast river during the mangrove canoe tour. I was deeply moved by the grandeur of nature!
