Everything was a new experience, but it was fun.
The scenery was indeed amazing.

I was warned that the sunlight could be intense, so I took my own measures against it, but I underestimated it.
Of course, wearing a hat is a must, but wearing shorts is risky.

I think it's better to have gloves if you're going kayaking.

A waterproof case for your phone is definitely a good idea. I regretted not buying one.

Also, I didn't bring a change of clothes (there might have been a warning about this), and it was a hassle, so a change of clothes is essential.

If I get the chance to go to Iriomote Island again, I would definitely like to participate once more.

A 63-year-old woman traveling alone. This was my third time canoeing. Since it's a single kayak, I could go at my own pace and relax. The river is wide, offering magnificent views and the sounds of birds and cicadas, making it the perfect forest bathing experience.

I thought trekking for 40 minutes would be tough, but the guide made it enjoyable with explanations and photos, so it was fine.

Seeing the waterfall for the first time was incredibly moving. The water was cold, but my goal was to jump into the plunge pool, and it was the best experience.

We paddled slowly for 40 minutes, then trekked for 30 minutes to reach the Pinai Sara Falls. We took photos while getting splashed at the base of the waterfall, enjoyed the prepared lunch, and saw a crested serpent eagle, a Semaruhako turtle, and a family of Ryukyu wild boars, making it a more fulfilling tour than I had expected. The guide's explanations were accurate and reliable, which made for a fantastic experience. However, while it was said that beginners and children could enjoy it, it required more physical strength than I anticipated.

The direct ferry from Ishigaki Island to Uehara Port was canceled due to high waves, so we arrived at Uehara Port an hour late via a bus from Ohara Port. It was our first time on Iriomote Island with our family of five (with a 9th grader, a 7th grader, and a 4th grader). I was a bit nervous about what to expect, but both the trekking and canoeing were just right for beginners, and we all had a great time. They provided us with hats, bags that could get dirty, and waterproof bags, which was very helpful for our family, as we were all beginners.

We swam in the waterfall pool, and the kids wanted to wear goggles (I think I'll bring goggles next time). Additionally, we received photos via LINE at the end, which became wonderful memories. We were also able to rent a shower and bath towels for an extra fee, so we could clean up before heading back to port.

We're already talking about wanting to go again on our next trip! Thank you for everything!!

カヤックは40分✖️往復と長めなので、ゆったりとした流れの中、マングローブを眺め、オールで漕ぐ水の音を聞きながら、癒しの時間を過ごすことができました。トレッキングも、小1と小3の子どもたちを先頭にガイドさんがしっかりと見てくださり、珍しい木などの説明や、その他の質問にもしっかりと答えてくださり勉強になりました。3月末でまだ肌寒かったのですが、みんなで滝壺で泳いだことも楽しかったです。（ガイドさんも寒い中一緒に入ってくださり、驚きました！）お弁当の内容は、特大おにぎり２つ（梅と昆布）、唐揚げ、茹で卵、お漬物で、滝を見ながら（しぶきを浴びながらで寒かったですが）美味しかったです。トイレは、他社のピナイサーラツアーでも同様のようですが、携帯用トイレをガイドさんから頂き、持ち帰るという形でした。帰路は、再度トレッキングとカヤックで元来た道を戻ります。カヤックは、通常子どもは大人と一緒に乗りますが、往路の小1の息子（カヤック経験者）の技術を見て、特別に1人で乗せて頂き、黙々と漕いで楽しんでいる姿に成長を感じました。今後、得意なことはカヤックですと言わせたいと思いますw終了後に写真や動画も頂き、大満足のツアーでした。
ちなみに、ツアーで貸していただけるものは、シューズと防水リュックです。レインコートや（泳ぐのであれば）バスタオルを持参した方が良いです。

The weather was unfortunately rainy, but it was a wonderful activity. The guide was very nice and introduced us to many things about Iriomote Island. Thank you very much. The mangrove canoe experience and trekking tour offered exciting experiences that you can't usually have. They also provided free transportation to the port, which was great. I visited Iriomote Island, where I got my scuba diving license during my student days, for the first time in 30 years, this time with my child.

We traveled from Kohama Island, and although the weather can be unstable in winter with the possibility of ferry cancellations, we received thorough guidance about access from the remote island in advance, which made us feel secure about participating.

Upon arrival at Uehara Port, we were welcomed and on the way to the shop for preparations, we saw the Higan Cherry Blossoms blooming, marking our first cherry blossom viewing of the year. As we leisurely paddled through the mangrove forest in a canoe, I could feel my mind relaxing more and more. With this relaxation, my senses, which had been dulled by the busyness of everyday life, gradually opened up, and I became highly sensitive to everything around me—the natural sounds, the scents wafting from the mangrove forest and various plants, absorbing everything and feeling rejuvenated.

While trekking towards the waterfall after getting off the canoe, we encountered a heavy rain shower reminiscent of a tropical downpour, but it was a beautiful rain that didn’t feel uncomfortable. It truly felt like the charm and essence of nature. Remarkably, when we reached the waterfall, the rain stopped, and we enjoyed a warm meal prepared by our guide. We experienced the almost private atmosphere of Pinaisara, soaking in the vigorous, silk-like spray of water enriched with negative ions, which had increased due to the rain, from 55 meters upstream!

上原港でお迎えしてもらい、準備のためにショップに向かう道中でヒガンザクラが咲いていて、今年の最速お花見。車に乗った瞬間からガイドさんからの西表島の自然や歴史にちなんだ数々のインプットがとても興味深く、面白くて、あっいう間に非日常の世界に飛び込みました。
マングローブの林の中を、ゆったりとカヌーで進んでいると、自分の心もどんどんゆったりしてくるのがわかりました。ゆったりしてくると、ふだんの忙しい日常の中で塞がっていた五感も、ゆっくりと開放されて来て、目に触れるもの、耳に響いてくる自然の息吹、マングローブの林や様々な植物から漂う香りにすごく敏感になって、色々なものを吸収して癒されていきました。
カヌーを降りてトレッキングで滝壺を目指す間、南国のスコールのような豪雨になりましたが、キレイな雨で不快感もなく、また、これぞ自然の魅力・醍醐味という感じでした。なんと滝壺に到着すると雨も上がり、ガイドさんが準備してくれた温かい食事をいただき、ほぼ貸し切りピナイサーラ状態で、55メートル上流から繰り出される、スコールで水量を増した威勢の良い、マイナスイオンたっぷりの絹のような水しぶきを親子で全身に浴びて参りました！
とても嬉しかったのは、ガイドさんがカメラでスゴク良い写真をたくさん撮ってくださって、それをデータで無料でプレゼントしてくれたことです
