My trip to Miyako Island was my first experience. Since it was at the end of February, I thought it might be a bit cold, but I was blessed with great weather and had a wonderful experience.

午前中にカヌーにて洋上を散策し、食事を挟んで午後からシュノーケリング。ウミガメと一緒に戯れられたのはなかなか味わえない貴重な体験でした。珊瑚と熱帯魚も美しく、まるで水族館。
そして、スタッフの親切な気配りと丁寧な案内に感心させられました。
憧れていたエメラルドグリーンの中で最高の過ごせて大満足です。また、来年も行きたいと思います。ありがとうございました。

I participated in a snorkeling and SUP tour. However, I knew that the weather in Okinawa during this season isn't very good, but on the day of the tour, the wind was stronger than expected, so we switched from SUP to canoeing. We were able to do a little SUP in a spot sheltered from the wind in the bay.

During snorkeling, we encountered a turtle about 10 minutes in, and we were able to get close enough to touch it and swim together, which was amazing! At the coral reef spot, we also saw many brightly colored fish. Even though the weather wasn't great, the underwater scenery was beautiful and the best part of the experience.

The instructor was bright, kind, and very friendly.

During this season, there are days when it can be cold even while wearing a wetsuit, so be cautious of the cold.

If you're visiting Miyako Island for the first time, I absolutely recommend it! You can get up close to sea turtles (of course, you shouldn't touch them), and they are so focused on eating that they don't run away at all, it's quite amusing! Honestly, I thought there might be a chance of not seeing them since they are wild animals, but it seems like you can usually spot them✨ (The guide mentioned he has never had a trip without seeing them!). After seeing the sea turtles, you can snorkel and enjoy the beautiful coral and many fish. In the afternoon, we also did stand-up paddleboarding, and the guide was very kind and taught us, so even beginners can have a great time. It's a bit more challenging than canoeing, but once you get the hang of it, it's really enjoyable.

I went snorkeling in the morning. I thought the sea might be a bit cold in early November, but once I put on the wetsuit, I felt completely warm and was able to enjoy it to the fullest! I was so moved to see a sea turtle up close! It was so cute watching it eat! The staff showed us where there were lots of fish, and I was very satisfied to see various kinds of fish!

In the afternoon, I did stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). I had the impression that it would be difficult, but thanks to the careful instruction, I was able to get used to it quickly! The staff took a lot of photos, so I could keep them as memories! The staff were kind and taught us patiently, so I think even beginners can enjoy it thoroughly! It was my first time trying SUP, and they taught me how to ride in a short amount of time, so I was able to stand up right away. There are areas outside the bay where the current is strong, and in shallow spots, you can get stuck. Once you’re out in the sea, it’s hard to know where the dangerous places are, so I definitely couldn’t have done it alone. I was really glad for the instructor's explanations. They also explained about the fish while we were on the SUP, which helped during snorkeling.

I had experienced snorkeling in Cebu overseas, but this was my first time snorkeling domestically. My favorite photo from SUP was the one taken from above while climbing on the rocks. Snorkeling photos are really difficult to take. I received wonderful photos of the turtles, fish, and myself with the turtles. The angle from below to above in the water requires diving skills, and you have to approach quietly and stabilize to take nice pictures. It’s hard to move in the water, and with several participants, everyone was taken care of, which is amazing!! I can look back at them and remember the experience anytime.

●SUP

●シュノーケリング
海外セブ島のシュノーケリングは経験したことありましたが、国内シュノーケリングは初めてでした。長時間やりたいなら、海外の物価のお安いところとかも良いと思いますが、説明が英語だったりするので、お魚の説明、海の状態、亀のいる場所とかあいまいにしかわかりません。日本ならインストラクターさん日本語でわかりやすい！ゴーグル、フィンの付け方とかしっかりみてくれてありがたかったです。あとは、（セブの安いとこ基準なので、比較にならないですが）ウェットスーツ、靴、ゴーグル、フィン、新しくて良かったです。

●お写真
あとは何より写真！すごい綺麗な配置と色合い。シュノーケリングもSUPも終わって送られてきた写真をみて大満足でした。SUPは岩場に登って上から撮ってもらったお写真がお気に入りです。シュノーケリングは海の中の写真てほんと難しいんですよね。亀の写真、お魚の写真、亀と自分の写真、素敵な写真が送られてきました。海の中の下から上のアングルは潜る技術がないとだし、静かに近づいて安定しないと綺麗に撮れないし、海の中は動きづらいし、こんなにたくさん、参加者も数名いて、みんなをケアしながら、すごい！！の一言です。見返していつでも思い出せます。

I started with SUP! I was worried about whether I could stand on the board, but thanks to the guidance from Nakamura-san, I was able to do it. At first, we practiced freely in the calm bay and took some photos, and then we ventured a little outside the bay to feel the difference in the waves. By that time, I had gotten used to it, so it was really enjoyable.

After that, we moved to Shinjo Beach to look for sea turtles and went snorkeling. Luckily, we encountered about 4 to 5 turtles, both big and small. After seeing the turtles, we went to see Nemo and the fish living in the coral, and we had a great time before returning to the beach.

You can have photos taken while SUPing and snorkeling, so it's fine to go hands-free. I was very satisfied to have photos taken with the sea turtles too! The instructors are very kind and teach you well, so you can enjoy it with peace of mind! I highly recommend it.

最初にSUPをしました！SUPの上で立てるかどうか不安でしたが、レクチャーしてくれた中村さんの指導のかいあって立つことができました。最初は波の穏やかな湾内で自由に練習したり、写真を撮って貰ったりして、その後湾内から少し外に出て波の違いを感じます。だいぶ慣れた後なので楽しくできました。
その後、新城海岸へ移動してウミガメさんを探してシュノーケルをします。ラッキーなことに大きい子や小さい子4〜5匹くらいに会えました。
ウミガメさんを見てから珊瑚に住むニモやお魚を見に行きたっぷり楽しんで海岸へ戻りました。
SUPとシュノーケルの写真は撮って貰えるので手ぶらで行っても大丈夫です。ウミガメさんと一緒にも撮って貰えて大満足です♬
インストラクターの方が親切に教えてくれるので安心して楽しむことができます！オススメです。

I had my first SUP experience and snorkeling trip in Okinawa with a friend! We went snorkeling in the morning and did SUP in the afternoon. I participated in a one-day tour for SUP and sea turtle snorkeling.

First, we experienced SUP at Imugya Marine Garden starting at 8:30. It was my first time trying SUP, but the instructions on how to stand and paddle were very thorough, so I was able to stand up quickly! Although the weather was bad with strong winds and some rain, the water was clear enough to see fish.

The snorkeling in the afternoon was scheduled for 14:30. I had half given up hope of seeing sea turtles since the guide mentioned we might not see any, but we encountered one just before the end of the session!

I think the weather conditions were poor that day, but I still had a great time and was very satisfied!

SUPとウミガメシュノーケリングの1日ツアーに参加しました。

まず最初に8:30からイムギャーマリンガーデンにてSUPを体験。今回がSUP初体験でしたが、立ち方や漕ぎ方を丁寧に説明してくださるのですぐに立てるようになりました！当日は強風で天気も悪く、雨が降るタイミングもありましたが海の透明度は十分で魚も見ることができました。

I think this was quite a unique experience in itself. After that, we laid a towel on a rock and took seated photos, followed by standing photos on the beach. Since it was our first time, I wasn't sure what poses to take, but they kindly suggested some recommended poses, and we were able to take about 10 photos successfully. I was grateful for their flexibility in accommodating our request for additional shots.

We were blessed with good weather on the day, and the photos sent later were very beautiful. During the shoot, we needed to stay still for about 10 seconds, and perhaps due to the tension, some of the photos showed my face looking a bit stiff, so if I have the chance again, I would like to try smiling and take another shot.

綺麗に撮影できる場所なので必然的に周囲には街灯などなく真っ暗で、担当の方と電話をしてなんとか合流。これはこれでなかなかできない経験だったと思います。そのあと、岩の上にタオルを敷いていただいて座っての撮影、そして砂浜での立っての撮影でした。初めてでどのようなポーズを取ればよいのか分からなかったのですが、おすすめのポーズを教えていただき、無事に10枚ほど撮影することができました。追加で撮影して欲しいという要望にも柔軟に対応していただきありがたかったです。
当日は天気に恵まれ、後日送られた写真はとても綺麗でした。撮影時に10秒ほどじっとしている必要があるのですが、その緊張のせいか自分の顔が少しこわばっているように見える写真もあったので、また機会があれば笑顔で再挑戦したいと思います。
