    A bowl repaired by kintsugi, using gold powder Learn and practice the basics of Kintsugi on one chipped pottery item. First, smooth out the area then carefully apply the golden powder and lacquer to make the pottery shine again!

Notes
Restriction(s)
    • Children 11 years old and above can participate in this activity.
Additional Note(s)
    • You will use a small cup, plate or other pottery item to learn the technique during class.
    • The owner can speak very basic English. Knowledge of Japanese would be helpful, but is not necessary.
    • Participants may bring their own item for kintsugi. However items such as transparent glass, wooden lacquerware and glassware with picture on it may not be used.
    • In case you want to use your transparent glass, wooden lacquerware and glassware with picture for the kintsugi activity, please inquire through VELTRA.
    • The finished kintsugi product may be brought home after the activity.
    • If you want to bring your own ceramic, please send a picture of your ceramic through VELTRA inquiry portal prior to joining this activity.
