I have never participated in such a terrible tour. After gathering in Shinjuku, there was no announcement when the bus departed. I had no idea where we were going or how long it would take. Even when we arrived at the destination, there was no information about where we had arrived or when to regroup; everyone was checking on their own. I chose this tour because it was supposed to be in English and Chinese, but there was absolutely no explanation at each sightseeing spot. I regretted not joining a regular Japanese tour instead.

At Toshogu Shrine, the bus parking was a bit far away, and I was relieved that everyone (mostly Chinese) returned safely without any accidents. I participated in this tour thinking it would be nice for my overseas friends, but I was disappointed. I believe this is not just a problem with the guide but a quality control issue with Veltra. If the customers had been Westerners, I think there would have been complaints on the spot, and accidents like getting lost could have occurred.

I hope they work on improving the quality of the tours.

これはガイドさんの問題でなくベルトラさんの品質管理の問題だと思います。お客が欧米人ならその場で文句が出ていたと思いますしはぐれて帰ってこないなどの事故が起こっていたかと思います。

It was a tour focused on observation. ANA Blue Base is a comprehensive training facility. It covers ground services, ground handling services, cabin crew (flight attendants), aircraft maintenance, and flight crew (pilots). The facility feels like it is about 300 meters long, so walking can be tough at my age, but there are chairs to sit on here and there, which is reassuring.

何回も通えるのではないでしょうか。見学料金も大人1,000円税込とあって、安いのではないかと思います。

We started on the Blue Course at 10:05 AM, got off at Tsukiji, had an early lunch, and visited Tsukiji Honganji Temple. We returned to Marunouchi Mitsubishi Building at 1:20 PM after a restroom break. Next, we took the Red Course departing at 2:05 PM and got off at Asakusa Hanakawado. This was my first time participating. I had previously attended a free hangar tour, but while that focused mainly on the aircraft, this one seemed to center around the people working there. As expected for a paid experience, I thought it was more exclusive and content-rich than the hangar tour. However, since it is a real facility, the experience can vary depending on the timing of your visit. (This time, I was very lucky to see various training activities.)

One slight disappointment was that the souvenir was just a single sticker (I heard it used to be a stylus) and that there was no capsule toy shop. (I really wanted the airplane parts animals...)

I attended alone, but there were many others in a similar situation, so I didn't have to worry about that. The staff who guided us were also very considerate. I would like to try a different tour next time.
