I participated with a friend who came from abroad! The other experience places we were looking at happened to be closed that day, and compared to those, the participation fee was a bit high, but we decided to join anyway! (I would be happier if it were a little more affordable.) We had a great time making traditional Japanese sweets and experiencing matcha. Both my Japanese friend and I enjoyed it immensely! If you have the chance, I highly recommend trying both experiences!

和菓子作りにお抹茶体験、日本人の私も海外からの友人もめちゃくちゃ楽しみました！
せっかくであればどちらも体験するのおすすめです！

Last time I participated with a friend. This time, I joined with my daughter. The themes change with the seasons, so you can enjoy it multiple times. This time, there were also foreign participants, and after the explanation in Japanese, there was one in English as well, which made it enjoyable to listen to the English conversation. It's easy to participate, and the dishes are very delicious, which is also a big attraction. You can take them home too. Next time, I would like to experience the course with matcha.

前回は友人と。今回は娘と参加しました。
題材が季節ごとに変わるので何度でも楽しめます。
今回は外国の方も参加されており、日本語での説明のあと英語でもあり、英会話も聞きながら楽しめました。
手軽に参加できて、作品がとても美味しいのも魅力です。お持ち帰りもできます。
次回はお抹茶といただくコースを体験したいです。

The steps are easy, but detailed craftsmanship definitely requires skill. I enjoyed it, and the kids were satisfied too. There were challenges with coloring as well. Ah, I thought, now I can make Mont Blanc! 😅

手順は優しいけれど　細かい細工はやはり熟練が必要ですね。楽しめましたし子供も満足していました。着色の難しさもありました。あゝこれでモンブランできるねーと思いました😅　　

It was close to the station, and someone was there to greet us at the entrance of the building. I experienced it with someone from Poland, and they explained everything alternately in Japanese and English, so my daughter was able to keep up with the process without falling behind. It was really great.

駅から近く、ビルの入り口で係りの方がお迎えしてくださりました。
ポーランドの方と一緒に体験しましたが日本語と英語、交互に説明してくださり娘も工程に遅れずについていけました。とても良かったです。

Making wagashi was my first challenge, but I was able to enjoy it without it being too difficult. The taste and texture of the wagashi were great. There were many foreigners participating, and there were about two instructors, so I felt comfortable taking the class. I accidentally dropped some anko, resulting in half the amount, but it seems like I could get more for an additional fee if I asked.

和菓子作りは初挑戦でしたが、難しすぎない工程で気軽に楽しむことができました。和菓子の味も食感も良かったです。
外国人の方も多くいらっしゃっていて、講師は2人ほどいるので安心して受けられました。
今回あんこを落としてしまって片方が半量となってしまいましたが、声をかければ追加料金でもらえそうです。

I had a great time experiencing authentic nerikiri in a short amount of time! I thought it would be nice to bring my foreign friends here!

短時間で本格的な練り切り体験が出来て、とても良かったです！

I was able to make it well because you taught me kindly and carefully! Since the things we make change with the seasons, I would like to participate again. Also, the matcha I drank with the nerikiri was delicious.

The building where the experience takes place is very old, and there is only one restroom, with no place to sit and wait until your time, but the experience is enjoyable. Even though the same materials are used, the results are quite different for each. I had it with matcha, and it was not too sweet and very delicious.

体験する建物はとても古く、トイレも1つしかない、時間まで座って待つ場所もないところですが、体験は楽しいです。同じ材料なのに、それぞれ出来上がりがかなり違います。お抹茶と一緒に食べましたが、甘すぎずとても美味しかったです。

I made everything myself, starting from coloring the wagashi. It seems that there are experience facilities that use materials that are already colored from the beginning, but kneading the color into the dough evenly turned out to be more challenging than I expected. Since I performed almost all the processes, I think it was great to express my originality.

和菓子を着色するところから全て自分で作りました。初めから色が付いている材料を使う体験施設もあるみたいですが、色を練り込んで生地に均一にしていくのが思いの他大変な作業でした。
ほぼ全ての工程を行うので自分のオリジナリティが出て良かったと思います。

I participated with my friends and the teacher and students from the French class! It was everyone's first time making wagashi. I learned that the types of nerikiri change with the 24 solar terms, and we made ginkgo and chestnut nerikiri. The teacher kindly and thoroughly taught us how to make nerikiri, and it was very easy to understand. Each person's individuality really showed. We also enjoyed matcha, and I got to see the process of grinding tea leaves with a stone mill while learning about tea. We had a fun and delicious time with the sweets and tea! Thank you very much.

友達と、フランス語教室の先生と生徒で参加しました！皆さん和菓子作りは初でした、
二十四節気ごとに作る練り切りの種類が変わるそうで、銀杏と栗の練り切りを作りました。
先生は親切丁寧に練り切り作りを教えてくださり、とてもわかりやすかったです。
それぞれの個性が出ますね。
お抹茶も、お茶のお話から、石臼でお茶の葉を挽くところも見せてもらいました。
楽しく美味しくお菓子とお茶を頂きました！

I went with my daughter who grew up overseas. It was nice to learn some trivia through a little quiz.

However, I did have a few concerns. The pace of the explanations was a bit fast, and I found the volume of the voice a little too soft to hear clearly.

When the staff were carrying the teaching materials, the space between the seats was a bit narrow, so I think it would be better to have a more spacious arrangement.

It was a very enjoyable experience to eat the nerikiri we made along with matcha.

ちょっとしたクイズがあったら、豆知識的なことをしれて良かったです。

ただ、以下の点は気になりました。
説明のテンポがはやいことと
声の大きさが少し小さく聞き取れなかったです。

スタッフの方が教材を運ぶ際に
席の前後の幅が少し狭いので
もう少しゆったりとした配置にした方がいいなと思いました。

作った練り切りをお抹茶と一緒に食べれて
とても楽しい体験でした。

It's an easy-to-start experience with traditional Japanese sweets. I'm happy that it's conveniently located and not far from the station. It seems like it can accommodate a large group, so I would like to recommend it when my foreign friends come to visit next time.

手軽に始める事ができる和菓子体験です。
便利なところにあって、駅からも遠くないのが嬉しいです。多人数も入れそうですから、今度外国の友達が遊びに来る時はおすすめしたいです。

I signed up because my elementary school child loves matcha and wagashi. It was great to be able to do things we can't easily do at home, like making nerikiri and whisking matcha. We had a wonderful experience together as a parent and child. Thank you very much.

This was my third time, and my husband’s second time participating. Since the theme was seasonal nerikiri, we can enjoy it every time we go. This time, it was after the beginning of spring, so we made shapes of a bush warbler and plum blossoms. Shaping the bush warbler was difficult, and all the participants created unique works. The instructor asked questions about wagashi at just the right moments, encouraging everyone to participate and respond, which created a sense of unity and a very homely atmosphere. After finishing our creations, we shared our works with each other, which was delightful and friendly. This is why I keep coming back. I will participate again!

私は3回目、夫は2回目の参加でした。
季節に合わせた練り切りの題材のため、何度行っても楽しめます。
今回は立春を過ぎた日でしたのでうぐいすと梅。
うぐいすの形を整えるのが難しくて、参加者の皆さんも個性豊かな作品を作られていました。
先生がタイミングよく和菓子に関する質問を投げかけ、全員参加型で回答するため、一体感がうまれて、アットホームな雰囲気がとても良く、作品を作り終わったら、参加者同士で作品を見せ合うなど、和気あいあいでこれが良い。何度も通ってしまうわけです。
また、参加します！

We experienced making nerikiri and the tea ceremony as a couple. In the session we attended, there were also families with children and male participants. The instructor made it easy for beginners to understand by working alongside us to finish our creations, so it was clear how much of each ingredient to use. The instructor went around to each table, checking on everyone with a sample in hand. We also learned about the tools and the four seasons in Japan, which was great for experiencing Japanese culture. During the tea ceremony, each participant was provided with the necessary tools, and we were able to prepare matcha sourced from Kyoto, allowing us to enjoy a graceful time. I would like to participate again.

夫婦で練り切りとお点前を体験しました。参加した回では親子連れもいて、男性の参加者もいました。初心者でもわかりやすいように、インストラクターさんも一緒に作品を仕上げていく方法で、見ながらできたので分量の具合もわかりやすく、インストラクターさんは各テーブルを回りながら見本を手に参加者のみなさんを確認してくださっていました。道具の説明や日本の四季の説明など日本文化にも触れられて、そんなことも学べたのは良かったです。お点前も一人ずつ道具が揃えられ、京都から取り寄せた抹茶を点てていただき、優雅な時間を過ごすことができました。また、参加したいと思ってます。

We participated as a group of four, with a parent accompanying both my third grader and my three-year-old. They provided professional-grade tools, and the kids were in high spirits. The explanations were clear enough that my elementary school child was able to complete the activities independently. The three-year-old seemed to enjoy the sensory experience, sitting through the entire session with parental support. They found the tea to be a bit bitter, which was an exciting experience.

Aside from us, there were mostly adult foreigners who actively asked questions, creating a great atmosphere. I learned that the themes change about 24 times a year, and I would love to participate again in a different season.

小3と3歳児にそれぞれ親が手伝いで付き添い、4人で参加しました。
本格的な道具が用意され、子どもたちの気分も上々、わかりやすい説明で小学生の方は1人で完結出来ました。3歳児も粘度のような感覚のようで、親のサポートを受けながら最後まで座っていました。おちゃがにがかったーと刺激的で楽しんだ感想でした。

私達以外は、ほぼ大人の外国人の方で積極的に質問されていたのもよい雰囲気でした。
年に24回ほどテーマが変わるとのこと、また別の季節に参加してみたいです。

I experienced making nerikiri for the first time. In my session, there were a total of four women, including one young woman visiting from Germany. It lasted about an hour, but perhaps because I was so engrossed, it flew by in no time. I was kindly taught and had a great time, making it a wonderful experience! Thank you!

初めて練り切り作りを体験しました。私の参加した回はドイツから観光の若い女性1人を含む女性計4人でした。1時間ほどの時間でしたが、夢中だったためか、あっという間でした。親切に教えてもらい楽しい時間を過ごすことができ、良い経験になりました！ありがとうございました！

I participated in a matcha and nerikiri making experience for the first time this time. Not only did I drink tea and make nerikiri, but I also learned about the tools I was using and some interesting facts about matcha and nerikiri (Japanese sweets), which made me feel like I gained some knowledge. Some people mentioned that the experience was a bit fast-paced, but I was able to keep up just fine. There was also a helper besides the instructor, so I think there's no need to worry. It was really fun to see how what I made came together! The time flew by! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

今回初めてお抹茶とねりきり作りの体験に参加しました。
ただ、お茶を飲んで、ねりきりを作るだけではなく今回自分が使っている道具はどういった物なのかや、抹茶やねりきり(和菓子)などのちょっとした豆知識などを教えてもらい、教養が身に付いた様な気がしました^ワ^
体験は少し速いと言っていた方もいましたが、私は、ギリ付いていけました
先生の他にもサブの方もいらっしゃったので、心配ないと思います。
体験も自分が作ったものがこうなっていくのかと作っていてとても楽しかったです！
時間があっという間でした！！

I experienced this with three children and one adult accompanying them.

The instructions were clear and easy to understand, allowing the children to enjoy making things.

Both the wagashi (Japanese sweets) and matcha were delicious!

They also explained the tools and taught us in a quiz format, which kept the children engaged.

I learned a lot about Japanese culture, and it was a fun experience that felt very worthwhile.

I would like to visit again.

丁寧にわかりやすく指導してくださり、子どもでも楽しく作ることができていました。

日本文化について、ヘェ〜と言う学びもたくさんあり、楽しい体験もできてお値打ちだなと感じました。

I have three suggestions for improvement. 1. Slow down the pace. (Some people are having trouble keeping up.) 2. Make the venue larger. (It's too crowded.) 3. Ensure a waiting area. (It's cold outside.)
I think it would be better to hold the event in a larger space with more distance between attendees, even if it means raising the price.

改善希望が3つあります。1.進行をゆっくりと。（ついていけてない方もいる）2.会場を広く。（密になっている）3.待ち場所の確保。（外は寒い）
値段を上げても良いから、もう少し広い場所で間隔を取りながら開催した方が良いと思いました。

It was my first experience. There was a depth and delicacy to wagashi, and I enjoyed making it myself. The instructions were clear and kind. I would like to participate in the experience tour again if I have the opportunity.

The instructors were kind and taught us well, making it a fun and lively experience. The mini knowledge about tea was also interesting. It was a unique experience that I don't often get, and I had a great time.

It might be difficult to identify the exterior since it's on the second floor of an ordinary building. I made two types of wagashi. It seems that the items change with the seasons (24 patterns a year). They also carefully explained the ingredients and materials. I joined a group, and each person created unique sweets, which was interesting. The anko (sweet red bean paste) seemed to be of good quality and was delicious. I was able to see the stone mill used to grind the tea leaves and learn about the process, which was educational.

普通のビルの2階なので、外観は分かりにくいかもしれません。
和菓子を２つ作りました。季節によって作るものが変わるそうです(年に24パターン)。素材や材料についても丁寧に教えていただきました。団体の方々と一緒になりましたが、それぞれ個性的なお菓子が出来上がっており、面白かったです。餡も良いものを使っているようで美味しかったです。
お抹茶は、茶葉を引く石臼や様子を実際に見ることができ、勉強になりました。

The venue was a small, old building room. You take off your shoes to enter, and the experience involves working and listening at a long table with folding chairs. They used carefully selected high-quality ingredients and specialized tools. The instructors and assistants were young and pleasant women. The event was designed to minimize extravagance and unnecessary costs while ensuring that essential aspects were thoroughly considered, which received positive feedback from my companions.
(COVID-19 measures were also well implemented.)

会場は小さな古びたビルの一室。靴を脱いで入室し、長テーブルとパイプ椅子での作業及び聴講体験。こだわりの良質な食材と、専用道具を使用。講師、補助者は若く感じの良い女性達だった。派手さと無駄を省きコストを抑えた、でも、必要な箇所は惜しみなく配慮が行き届いた企画で、同行者からも好評だった。
（コロナ対策もしっかりされていた）

I had an experience making traditional Japanese sweets and preparing matcha. It was more difficult than I expected, but I had a great time laughing with my girlfriend. Those who think they are skilled might find it interesting to give it a try.
The venue is a small room in an ordinary mixed-use building, with just tables and chairs. The facilities are neither good nor bad. While it’s not stylish, I think it’s reasonable considering the price.

和菓子の形を作る体験と抹茶をたてる体験をしました。思っていたより難しく、一緒に行った彼女と大笑いしながら楽しめました。自分が器用だと思っているひとほど試しに体験してみるとおもしろいかもしれません。
会場は普通の雑居ビルの広くはない一室でテーブルとイスのみが並んでいるところでやりますが可もなく不可もなくな設備。オシャレさはありませんが、料金を思えば悪くないと思います。

I made a reservation because I wanted to have a unique experience. The wagashi (Japanese sweets) making was more authentic than I expected, and I felt a great sense of accomplishment. The tea wasn't as authentic as I imagined, but since you can enjoy it on the spot with the sweets, I think it's a good idea to order it as a set.

何か珍しい体験がしたくて予約しました。
和菓子作りは思ったよりも本格的で、かなり達成感がありました。
お茶は想像よりも本格的ではありませんが、お茶と一緒にその場で食べられるのでセットで頼むといいと思います。

I received careful instruction in a small group. It feels like even small children can enjoy it. I had the finished product at home, and it was very delicious.

I participated with a friend.
First of all, the classroom was bright and clean, and the teachers were very kind. They thoroughly implemented alcohol disinfection and temperature checks, as well as requiring masks and gloves, which made me feel safe. The ventilation was also excellent.
As for making wagashi (Japanese sweets), there were explanations for each step, and even if you didn't understand or fell behind, the teachers provided careful support, so it was fine.
There were also simple explanations for the tea ceremony practices, so you wouldn't feel embarrassed even if you didn't know the proper etiquette.
Overall, I was very satisfied, and I would like to invite other friends to participate again.

友人と参加しました。
まず教室内が明るく清潔で先生方もとても親切。そしてアルコール消毒と検温はもちろんのことマスクと手袋着用が徹底していたので安心。換気もバッチリ。
和菓子作りですが工程ごとに説明があり、わからなかったり遅れを取っても先生が丁寧にフォローしてくれるので大丈夫。
お茶を点てる作法も簡単ながら説明があるので作法を知らなくても恥ずかしい思いはしません。
総合的に大満足だったので他の友人を誘ってまた参加したいと思います。
