Thanks to the teacher's careful guidance, I was able to have a very enjoyable time. Thank you! Even while struggling with the detailed work, all the participants were very satisfied with the finished "one-of-a-kind My glass"! This precious experience has added another wonderful memory for our close-knit group.

Recently, I experienced sandblasting with my daughter! Even my third-grade daughter was able to enjoy creating thanks to the staff's careful guidance. She particularly seemed to enjoy the intricate cutting work and was very focused on it. The finished piece turned out to be more professional and cool than we imagined, and we were thrilled! It was a fleeting moment, but creating a wonderful piece with my daughter became a fantastic memory.

I participated in the event during the rain of a wandering typhoon. Since it was during the day on a weekday, I was the only one there. I had the luxury of receiving one-on-one instruction from the teacher. There were many cute designs, so it was okay to have no plan for the design. At first, I was a bit nervous, but I gradually became able to cut smoothly. I had a great time chatting about our beloved cats with fellow cat owners.
迷走台風の雨のなか参加しました。
平日の昼間でしたのでその回は私だけ。
贅沢にも先生からマンツーマンでご指導頂きました。
かわいい図案がたくさんあって デザインがノープランでも大丈夫でした。
初めはおっかなびっくりでしたが だんだんとスムーズにカット出来る様になりました。
猫飼い同士愛猫の話しで盛り上がりながら楽しく出来ました。

You don't need to dig too deep, and surprisingly, you can draw fine curves quite beautifully. The towel is essential because it can help secure the glass while carving the design and can also be used to wrap the artwork for taking home. If you forget it, I recommend buying one at a convenience store. I made a reservation here for my boyfriend's birthday, and he was really happy with it.

As a birthday experience for her, I was able to create an original glass with careful guidance. It wasn't difficult, and seeing the displayed glasses helped spark my imagination, so my satisfaction level is high! I have previously experienced Edo Kiriko glass, but I found sandblasting to be easier and I was able to create a piece that was closer to my vision. Next time, I want to think of a design and challenge myself with a more advanced one.

First experience of sandblasting glass making. 初めてのサンドブラストグラス作り体験

In the classroom, there was one teacher, a large window, and many sandblasted glass artworks displayed. First, we chose the shape and color of the glass we liked, and then selected a sticker design for the pattern. There were various shapes and designs available. We attached the pattern sticker to the glass and cut around the pattern with a cutter. The teacher carefully taught us everything, including how to cut the pattern and handle the tools. Once we finished cutting the pattern, we used a device to blow sand onto the glass. We blew sand until the area around the pattern turned white, carving the glass. We wore thick gloves on both hands and operated the pedal with our feet to blow the sand. It was a simple method, but I thought it was quite a deep task that required some skill. After finishing the carving, we washed the glass with water and dried it with a towel. Next, we made a coaster out of origami. The teacher patiently guided us through the folding steps. We placed the glass on the coaster, and it was complete. The teacher was very easy to talk to, friendly, and enjoyable, which made it great to work while having fun conversations. I was able to talk about various things and create sandblasted glass, which was a very valuable experience. Thank you very much. I would like to try making a plate next time!

たくさんのサンドブラストグラスの作品が

まずは好きなグラスの形と色を選び
そのグラスの柄のデザインのシールを
選びます。
いろいろな形とデザインが有りました。
柄のシールをグラスに貼り付けて
カッターで柄の周りを切り取ります。
柄の切り取り方や道具の扱い
やり方等全て先生が丁寧に教えて下さります。
柄の切り取りが終わったら
グラスにサンドを吹き付ける装置を使います。
柄の周りが白くなるまでサンドを吹き付け
グラスを削ります。
両手に厚い手袋をし、足でサンドを吹き付ける
ペダルを操作します。
単純なやり方ですが、
なかなかコツのいる奥の深い作業だなと
思いました。
削り終えたら、水でグラスを洗い
タオルで拭き取り乾かします。
次にコースターを折り紙で作りました。
折り方の手順は
先生が一緒に丁寧に教えて下さりました。
コースターにグラスを乗せて
完成。
先生がとても話しやすく楽しく気さくな
方でしたので
とても楽しく会話しながら作業ができて
良かったです。
いろいろお話を出来て
サンドブラストグラス作りも出来て
とても貴重な体験が出来ました。

I drew illustrations on stickers and attached them to glasses, carefully considering where to show the color of the glass and where to apply sand while cutting them out.
(The teacher provides advice on contrast and balance☆)
What I found difficult was using a thin, fine cutter to cut out the shapes; I often struggled to trace the curves smoothly, resulting in jagged edges. Also, when it came time to spray the sand to make the illustrations pop, I was unsure about the range and timing for applying the sand, which made me a bit nervous, haha.
Despite that, everyone was satisfied with the finished pieces, which had a unique charm that reflected our personalities.
I think this could be enjoyable for children's independent research projects (though it might be tough for younger kids since it involves sharp tools) or as gifts for family.
It's located very close to Asakusabashi Station, making it easy to move around afterward. The area around the station is also charming and lovely.

イラストをシールに描いてグラスに貼り付け、ガラスの色を出したい所と砂を吹き付ける所を考えながら切り抜いていきます。

難しいなと思ったのは、先の細く薄いカッターで切り抜いていきますが、曲線が上手いことなぞれなくてガタガタしがちなのと、最後に砂を吹き付けてイラストを浮き上がらせる時に、その砂を吹き付ける範囲や時間の塩梅が分からなくておっかなびっくりになってしまいました 笑
それでも出来上がった作品は自分らしい味わいがあるもんだと皆で満足の出来映えでした。
子供の自由研究だったり（刃物を使うので小さい子は厳しいかもですが）、家族へのプレゼントなどでも楽しめると思います。
浅草橋駅から本当に近くの場所なので、その後の移動も楽だと思います。駅周辺も趣があって素敵です。
