A great way to see Tokyo, offering sightseeing and cultural aspects in a really enjoyable way. The local operator understands how to present the best in a timely and interesting way. The guide was entertaining and informative. The lunch was absolutely delicious, with first class service and good company. We really recommend this tour!

Great tour. Good introduction to Tokyo nightlife,transport, food and drink. Meg looked after us very well and would highly recommend this tour!

I used it because I accumulated points, and I enjoyed it more than I expected.
The locations that can only be accessed by train are now connected by the line.
The high-speed travel is thrilling.

This trip was for the most part excellent, and a fantastic way to start a trip to Tokyo.
Our favorite part was the Tea Ceremony and surrounding gardens, which were both delightfully tranquil and relaxing experiences.
The only change we would make was the visit to the imperial palace, while the cultural significance of the palace can't be understated, seeing it from afar (as it is closed almost all year) does it no justice.
Tour guide was informative and kept the group moving along well.

Although I can imagine the experience varies depending on your driver, ours made the day extremely easy and once he was used to the idea of two very informal aussies he was also excellent company. Great cars and our driver helped with our lack of Japanese. We visited Akihabra, Nanko Broadway and Odaiba; while Odaiba itself offered little that a western shopping mall does not, the spectacle of the giant robot was worth it even for someone who is not a gundam fan. Akihabra offered far more than we could have possibly seen in half a day (we ended up returning later for another visit). Whilst Nanko Broadway may have less appeal to the sightseer, it did offer a much more exciting shopping experience. Would recommend this trip to anyone and especially to a nerd with shopping on the agenda.

The tour gave a good overview of some of the important sites to see in Tokyo and the guide was very professional and spoke very clearly in English. There was a lot to see which made the day very interesting and the boat trip was very relaxing. The lunch served in a restaurant overlooking the bay was excellent - 3 courses with a glass of wine, with impeccable service, in a very clean and comfortable environment.

The guide and this tour as a whole was great. In the 21 days of our holiday in Japan and China the barbeque lunch provided was the best we had in a very beautiful location.

Early pickup from hotel but very efficient at bus interchange. However tour info did not state that you were not transported back to your hotel - so I used the metro and thought I would never get out of my station and back to my hotel.
Not enough time at Tokyo Tower.
Had the best meal of my 10 days in Japan - beautifully cooked and served using the hot stone. Tour guide very helpful and good english. Nice tour bus.

Tour Guide was knowledgeable, pleasant, and funny. The tour was interesting and offered many photo opportunities. I especially liked the cruise on Tokyo Bay.

I exchanged my points for a bus ticket since Alan's points were about to expire. It was valid for 24 hours, covered three routes, and included a live guide, which was very good.

the full day tour was well organised, picked up at the hotel and off we went. the tour guide was very friendly and full of knowledge and enjoyed answering our questions. the meal provided was very good. a Must do tour, we loved it.

Tour was great. Eat at some place that I would not of, traveling alone. Things were explained that I wouldnt of know also. Tour guide as fantastic!

I wanted to ride the red buses I saw around the city, so I signed up. I thought the one-day pass was only valid for the day it was exchanged, but it’s actually valid for 24 hours from the time of exchange. I was surprised it was valid until the next day (though I didn’t use it…).

I took two routes: one around the Tokyo Skytree and another around Odaiba. Each route takes about an hour. I was able to get off at the Skytree and stroll around Solamachi.

What surprised me was that the bus runs on the highway. Riding an open-top bus on the Shuto Expressway and crossing the Rainbow Bridge is a rare experience, and I can recommend this ticket just for that.

However, even in late March, it starts to get cold after around 4 PM. I think late April would be a better season. The guide's explanations were enjoyable, but sometimes their voice was too soft or they spoke too quickly, which was a downside.

Also, some bus stops were hard to find and in slightly awkward locations. For example, at Senso-ji Temple, I worried about whether I could reach it after being dropped off there! There might be regulations affecting this, but I hope improvements can be made.

Still, I think it’s fun for even those living in the city to ride just for a bit of a change!

街中で見かける赤いバスに乗ってみたくなって申し込み。
１日券って引き替えた日のみかと思ったら、引き替えた時間から２４時間なんですね。次の日まで有効でびっくり。（使いませんでしたけど…）
スカイツリーをまわるコースとお台場をまわるコースの２つに乗車。１コースおおむね１時間程度ですね。途中でスカイツリー下車をしてソラマチをぶらぶらしたりもできました。
びっくりなのが高速道路を走ること。オープンバスで首都高を走ったり、レインボーブリッジを駆け抜けたりは滅多にできない体験で、これだけでもこのチケットおすすめできちゃいます。
ただ、３月下旬でも１６時過ぎたくらいから寒くなってきます。４月下旬からが良いシーズンかな？
ガイドさんの解説も楽しいけど、声が小さかったり早口すぎたりするのがマイナス。
あと、バス停がわかりにくい＆ちょっと場所が微妙なところがちらほら。浅草寺なんか、あそこで下ろされてたどり着けるのかな！？と入らない心配をしてしまいました。規制などもあるかもしれないけど、改善されると良いですね。
でも、都内在住者でもちょっと話題程度に乗ってみるのも楽しいと思いますよ！

The scenery is beautiful and it's a great tour, but since it was cold in February, I think those who are not good with the cold should choose a different time.

景色はよくとてもよいツアーですが、2月の寒い時期でしたので、寒さが苦手な方は時期をえれんだほうがよいかと思います。

This tour is highly recommended. We had a great time. Tour guide was ok and nice. However, we had limited time at Asakusa for souvenir shopping. I wished we had a longer time.

Usually I am not a fan of organized tours but City Discovery really provides excellent service. I had very good experience in Australia. the tours I took in Japan were of the highest standard. Panoramic Tokyo is a must it takes you to the key places you get an excellent feel of the city from traditional places to the new Odaiba district. Excellent lunch in a restaurant on the top floor of a hotel with sweeping view of the Tokyo bay and gardens. Just do it !

Since it was a one-day pass, I took two rides: from Marunouchi to Skytree at 10:20 and from Marunouchi to Odaiba at 17:30. Sitting in the front row, even a regular curve feels thrilling like a roller coaster. Whether you're in the middle or the back, you can see the scenery in 360 degrees. It's very impressive! I highly recommend it for small children. For me as an adult, the bus guide's stories were full of interesting insights and very entertaining.

一日乗車券だったので、10:20発　丸の内→スカイツリー、17:30発　丸の内→お台場の2つに乗りました。最前列に乗ると、普通のカーブでもジェットコースターのようなドキドキがあります。真ん中でも後ろでも、360度に景色が見えます。非常に迫力があります！小さな子供に非常にお勧めです。大人の私には、バスガイドさんのお話が薀蓄に溢れて、大変おもしろかった。

If you don't have a lot of time in Tokyo, this is a good tour to do. If you are going on to Kyoto as we were I wouldn't bother going to the Shrines.
Not a long of time in many of the places, 15-20 mins in both places, hard when you have a toddler. Guide was excellent though!

The Full Day Grand Tokyo Tour was a nice and relaxing way to view the cities highlights and gardens. Nagi and Jun were excellent guides throughout the day and even taught us a few greetings and how to count in Japanese. I would recommend this tour as a good way to hit the major highlights of Japan.

We have travelled all over the world but this was our first visit to Japan. This tour is the best we have been on. Our tour guide Keiko was excellent, knowledgeable, interesting, helpful and fluent in English. The organisation was exemplary and we packed a lot in without feeling on a conveyor belt, great restaurant for lunch, relaxing cruise and in all a must see if you want an overview of Tokyo at a great value price.

Good tour to cover as much of Tokyo in a short time. Lunch fantastic. Could have used more time at the Asakusa Temple City, however we did get a great value for the day.

This bus has limited access areas, so it might be convenient if it matches the place you want to go, but the frequency is low, making it difficult to use multiple times in a day. It seemed like they didn't understand when I showed the voucher from Alan Wan, and I was made to wait. There appeared to be two types of buses: one that only allows boarding on the second floor, where you listen to the guide's announcements while touring, and another with a roof. There is a headphone jack, but they are not distributed, and when I tried using my own headphones from overseas, I found that all channels were playing the same music. I don't think I will use this service again. It's troublesome to have to go to the initial boarding location near Tokyo Station (to receive the boarding card) if it rains. The cost performance is not good. That's all.

このバスは、アクセス地域が偏っていて、行きたい場所に合致すれば便利かもしれないが、本数が少ないのでそうは一日で何度も利用するというのは難しい感じでした。
アランワンからのバウチャーを見せても分かってないようで待たされました。
一階には乗せない２階のみに乗車させ、ガイドのアナウンスを聞きながら周るタイプのバスと、屋根のあるタイプのバスと２通りのようでした。（どちらかが来る）
イヤフォンジャックはありますが、配られることも無く、手持ちの海外で使用したイヤフォンを試に入れてみたら、どのチャンネルも同じ音楽が流れているのみでした。
私はもう利用しようとは思わない。
雨が降ったら困る、東京駅近くの初乗りの場所まで必ず行かなくてはならない（乗車カードを貰う）のが面倒。
コストパフォーマンス的に美味しくは無い。以上。

The tour guide, Naomi-san, was great. She had good information and was full of energy. This is a quick stop and overview of these places which was perfect for us, and the river cruise was nice and relaxing.

Wide ranging and informative, very good guide and efficent travel etc.
