We had a family dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday. The waiting area during check-in was warm and had a nice atmosphere. I was grateful that the restroom was very clean. The meals on the boat were also fantastic, with freshly fried tempura served, which was incredibly delicious. I even forgot whether I mentioned the birthday when making the reservation, but they surprised us by decorating the dumplings with fireworks to celebrate the birthday, which made me really happy. I experienced a shared yakatabune (boat) for the first time. Previously, I used Mikawaya for a private charter, and the food was delicious, and the hospitality from the owner was exceptional, so I wanted to use them again and made a reservation! Last time it was a daytime private charter, but this time I was very much looking forward to the night plan, especially since we could see fireworks. The fireworks lasted for a short 5 minutes, but I was still very satisfied! It might have been the first time in my life that I could see them so closely without anything blocking my view!! It was worth more than what I paid. (If it had been longer than 5 minutes, it might have been too cold and uncomfortable, haha.) The night view of Tokyo was indeed beautiful! Absolutely an amazing experience that should not be missed. This was definitely a highlight of our trip. The only thing that would have made it better is if there was an option to book with an english speaking guide or written/digital guide as we missed out on the info about what we were seeing. The food was 10/10 - epic, the staff were absolutely lovely and made sure to include us as much as they could, the scenery was beautiful. This is a must do experience.

I am a tourist from Taiwan, and this was my first time participating in a yakatabune experience with my mother (on October 27, 2024). It was very convenient to take a taxi from the entrance of the Shinagawa Shinkansen station to Mikawaya. We arrived almost an hour early, and the staff asked us to wait at the entrance. That day, there were mostly Japanese tourists, with only a few Koreans and Westerners, but they had someone who could speak Japanese with them. When it was time to board, since the staff only spoke Japanese and I couldn't understand the language, I realized it was time to board when I saw the other tourists getting on^^" So we were the last ones to get on the boat.

Before entering the cabin, we had to take off our shoes. Inside the cabin, there were tatami mats and chairs to sit on, unlike other places where you have to sit cross-legged or kneel. Dinner was already prepared, and the staff came to confirm what drinks we wanted. Then we could start our meal. The tempura was freshly fried, with a variety of options including fish, shrimp, green peppers, and sweet potatoes. They even provided takeout boxes in case we couldn't finish! After the boat set sail, it swayed slightly, but it didn't affect our meal or cause seasickness. The boat would go to a certain point where the water was more stable, and we could change into slippers to go to the top deck to enjoy the night view.

The female host would ask foreign guests to introduce themselves and share which country they were from. That day, there were two guests celebrating their birthdays, and all the tourists sang "Happy Birthday" together, creating a very joyful atmosphere! The staff also proactively refilled drinks, and seeing them busy in the narrow cabin made me feel they were working very hard! The boat's route was fixed, and it didn't go towards Asakusa or the Skytree area. The entire journey lasted about 2 to 2.5 hours. There were also separate restrooms for men and women on the boat. 我是台灣遊客,第一次跟母親參加屋形船體驗(2024/10/27),從品川新幹線門口搭計程車過去很方便.我們提早快1小時抵達三河屋,店家請我們在店門口稍坐.當日幾乎是日本遊客,只有少數韓國人以及歐美人,但他們有會說日文的人陪同.到了登船時間.由於店家只會說日文,我也聽不懂日語,看著遊客一個個登船,我才知道要登船了^^"所以我們是最後一個上船的.進入船艙前要脫鞋子,船艙內是榻榻米,有椅子可以坐,不像其他店家必須盤腿或跪坐.而且晚餐都已經準備好了,店家服務人員來會確認要喝什麼酒,飲料.就可以開始用餐.天婦羅是現炸的,種類很多,魚,蝦子,青椒,地瓜.鰻魚...即便吃不完店家也有提供餐盒外帶!開船後,船體會稍微搖晃,但不影響用餐也不會導致暈船.船會開到某一個定點,水波比較穩,也可以換上拖鞋到船頂看夜景
店家女主人會請外國人介紹自己從什麼國家來.當天有兩位客人生日,全部的遊客都一起唱生日快樂歌,覺得好開心的氣氛!服務人員也會主動添加酒水,看他們在狹窄的船艙忙沒停下的忙碌,我覺得很辛苦!船的路線是固定好的,沒有開去淺草或是skytree那邊,整個旅程大概2-2.5小時就會結束.船上也有男女分開的廁所.整體而言是很不錯特別的體驗.可以再去一次!

We participated in a family cruise that departed from Shinagawa at 6 PM, taking us around Tokyo Bay and Odaiba, with a stop for dinner before returning at 8 PM. During the stop, we were able to go up on the roof of the boat to enjoy the view. The scenery of Odaiba and Umihotaru from the sea was very beautiful and wonderful. We were blessed with clear weather, enjoyed the cherry blossoms by the shore, savored delicious tempura, and had a very enjoyable time. There was a comfortable distance from the neighboring table, which made chatting with the people next to us delightful. The staff were also very kind. I think the 2 hours and 30 minutes was the perfect length.
