Private Mt. Fuji Tour from Tokyo with Arakura Sengen Shrine & Fuji Five Lakes

We had a wonderful day out with our driver, Tuk and our local guide, Yuko. We saw a quick film of Fuji and the information centre then went to fifth station to visit the shrine and to admire a closer view of Mount Fuji and the surrounding areas. We then visited a local restaurant for delicious noodles and sake. We then continued to Arakurayama Sengen Park to take photos of Mount Fuji with the Pagoda and continued to enjoy the local markets and stalls and the Autumn Leaves Festival at Kawaguchiko. We were able to take phots of Mount Fuji from a variety of different locations and our day was well paced as we have young children (3, 6 and 11 years).
Our day was pleasant as our guide and driver were very knowledgeable, polite, friendly and accommodated our preferences. Highly recommend this tour if you like your own space and you’re travelling in a small group.

No pudimos ver e Monte Fuji. La guía muy amable, pero si ya no puedes ver El Monte Fuji todo el tour pierde su encanto. No se confíen de las predicciones del tiempo!

Refreshing Trip

The tour to mount Fuji overall was great. Tour guide is very nice, scenery was beautiful and so much fresh air comparing to city. The sky was abit foggy but it cleared up near afternoon. The ropeway is very crowded, didnt get a good view but Kawaguchi lake cruise was relaxing and fun. Would love to go on more of these.

Great tour with friendly guides

I went on the tour with my sister two days after the October typhoon. Due to a landslide caused by the typhoon, we had to take a detour, which resulted in additional travel time. Unfortunately, we were not able to travel up to the 5th station due to the change in schedule/timing. We were also not able to see Fuji-san due to the cloudy weather. But we understand that this is beyond the tour company's control. On the flip side, the tour guides were extremely friendly and tried to make up for cancelling the 5th station trip by providing some snacks, which were quite thoughtful. Overall, I like how the tour guides were organized and upfront about the change in schedule. They also incorporated some humour when interacting with us, which made us feel welcomed. The ice cream at the end of the tour was a nice touch to complete the experience (we recommend having the peach flavour!). I can imagine that the itinerary would be perfect if the weather was accommodating. We will definitely come back again, perhaps during spring time when Mt. Fuji is more visible.

Great Tour, fully enjoyed ourselves!

Brought mom on this tour today! It was her first time in Tokyo, and I was quite worried how the tour would turn out given the weather forecast (rain!) and the reported closures of certain attractions caused by the recent typhoon. As it turned out, our worries were unfounded! While it was indeed raining as we were boarding the bus this morning, the weather started to clear as we head closer to Mt Fuji. The tour agency also made very good arrangements for us to have a great time. Coupled with the enthusiastic tour guide Jane, I would say our whole bus-load of people truly had an unforgettable day out! And guess what we found at Mt.Fuji? None other than Mt.Fuji!! I know this may not make sense, but you'd be surprised how many people went to Mt Fuji without seeing it...mainly due to weather issues. Well, we thought we wouldn't be able to catch it, but we did...snow-capped no less!
Really appreciate the quality of the tour, the seamless arrangements from one destination to another, and the professionalism show by the tour guide, and our bus driver. Couldn't have asked for more. Thumbs up!

Mount Fuji day trip

A very well organised day trip to Mount Fuji, including lunch, lake cruise and cable car ride.
Fantastic experience, although we only had a brief view of Fuji San (you can't control the weather!!).
Lovely light lunch at a "French Themed" restaurant in the theme park at the base of Fuji.
20 minute lake cruise and a cable car ride, with cracking views of Mount Fuji (if weather plays ball!!), expertly guided by Hiro!!
Thoroughly recommend this trip.

Well organised day trip to Mt.Fuji

The overall impression of the experience was great and everything was on time.
We're a couple and liked the most about the mountain and scenery nearby. However, it depends on the weather as well. We're a bit unfortunate because we could not see the top of the mountain as it was cloudy (indeed, we could not predict the weather accurately, because we booked earlier based on forecast and it supposed to be sunny). But, we had enough time to walk and explore at the 5th station. The staffs were all great and friendly: from the lady who welcomed us, the guide who speaks both japanese and english, and of course the driver. We expected to have a light lunch provided, but the trip included a proper course lunch which was great and delicious. Also, they have options for special dietry and you must make sure to let them know. We can advice future participants to book in advanced as the tour can easily get fully book, please state clearly if you have any special dietry for lunch, and enjoy your trips! Overall, it's highly recommended especially for those travelling with kids, couple, and old people. All the seighseeing, lunch, cruise, cable car, and return transport are included.

Good trip to Mt Fuji with all the things you want to see

This trip was in general very good. It was easy to find the meeting spot and the person who was standing there waiting was very helpful and made sure that everyone got on the bus etc. The bus was very comfortable and when arriving at the fifth plateau it was unfortunately cloudy. However the bus driver stopped at a second stop that was not in the plan and there we were able to see the top. Very appreciated! The lake cruise and the ropeway ride was okay, would probably be more fun if it was sunny. The time at this stop was too long as well. In the end, everyone was standing around and waiting for the bus to go back to Tokyo so maybe reduce the time there during the off season. But in general, a very good 1-day trip that I would recommend.

My husband and I did this great tour together. It was filled with fantastic views and sceneries. The boat cruise was amazing and Mount Fuji is stunning. It's 100% recommended to do this tour if you want to experience Mount Fuji from different points of views. It might get cold out there, so we recommend you bring a sweater. The tour leader was a sweetheart and the Veltra team did a great job organising every part of the trip. We highly recommend this tour.

Outstanding 1-day Mt. Fuji trip for foreigners

The overall experience was outstanding. Both the tour leader and bus driver were very friendly and offer assistant in any way they can. At every stop the tour leader explained very carefully what to do and when we need to get back to the bus. The 5th Station was cloudy and we did not get the chance to see Mt. Fuji. Same for Lake Kawaguchi. However after riding the ropeway to the top of the mountain and wait for a while, we could finally see the peak of Mt. Fuji. Such an amazing experience. The best part of the tour is the western-style lunch at a very cozy restaurant, and the $3 coupon. We did not use the coupon to buy ice cream but to buy souvenir because there are many selections.

Had an amazing time on this tour. Our tour guide communicated clearly and effectively with the guests. He made sure everyone knew when and where to come back at and willingly answered everyones questions. The weather was perfect!! We saw Mt. Fuji in all its beauty. The best option for foreigners to visit Mt. Fuji as a one day trip. The trip was very well planned and organized. Our tour coordinator was very pleasant and friendly. She was very informative about the various attractions on the way as well as the planned spots. Our first destination was fifth station of Mt. Fuji. Even though clouds covered Mt. Fuji most of the time, we were able to have a pretty good look at the highest peak of Japan, thanks to our generous driver who stopped at a point( when the clouds moved away for a few moments) just below the fifth station on our way back. The next destination was lake kawaguchi where we experienced lake cruise and rope way ride. The lake is surrounded by green landscape. This will be a perfect option for any group like family, friends, couples etc.

Incredible day exploring Mount Fuji and lake kawaguchi!

The experience overall was amazing starting with the bus journey to Fuji which was comfy and air conditioned with a friendly driver. Our tour leader was extremely informative, happy and spoke great English. The 5th station was cloudy but it was a lovely area to walk around and the views were still incredible. The boat journey on Lake kawaguchi was stunning and peaceful. What made the whole trip was when we went up the ropeway the cloudy had moved and we could see Mount Fuji clearly. A lovely touch at the end was a voucher for ice cream. I would recommend this trip to everyone who want to see Mount Fuji or just wants a trip outside busy Tokyo.

I was happily surprise for the whole tour, very veryyy nice, comfortable bus, very well organized tour, beautiful places to appreciate the mount Fuji. I felt they really thought about us as visitors and welcome guests, not just random people that only represent money for the company. Totally recommend this tour and the company. I would definitely go with them again. I traveled with my wife and 1 year old baby, and I had no issues, perhaps I would recommend next time to offer a car seat for the baby.

Perfect private tour of Mt. Fuji & Surrounding area

My family (3 adults, 2 children) had an incredible time during this tour which was individualized for us based on our requests and preferences. Our guide Takashi was extremely knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and taught us so much about not only Mt. Fuji but Japan and Japanese culture. Additionally, Takashi’s broad international knowledge and understanding provided an added perspective and important context on Japan’s place globally today. Our driver Toshi was also excellent and entertaining and because of his understanding of weather patterns on the mountain, we made 2 critical stops along the way that allowed us to see the peak despite some poor weather conditions overall. Takashi took us to an incredible restaurant for lunch, a meal that all of us enjoyed and none of us will forget. An incredible trip overall which was made even better by the connection we made with our guide Takashi. On a personal note, I left my phone in the vehicle and Takashi & Toshi ensured that it was returned to me the same evening! It was much appreciated! I would highly recommend this private tour and ask for Takashi!

The highlight of our trip!

The guided tour picks up at Ikebukuro or Shinjuku station. Our tour guide was Nobu and he was quite wonderful! The bus ran right on time. It wasn't full for the day we chose because it was an overcast day. Mount Fuji peeked out of the clouds for just a moment while we were at the top so we got to see it!! It was awesome!! The tour hits up the Mt Fuji 5th station shop, includes a lunch at a French restaurant (with special accomodations for the vegetarian in our group). You get a $3 souvenir or ice cream voucher too. The cruise on the lake was the best part! If I was making a suggestion, the top of Mt Fuji and the amusement park could be 15 minutes longer and the lake area could be 30 minutes less in exchange. Other than that it was the absolute best and I would recommend to anyone!

It is highly recommended this tour of Fuji.
Mt. Fuji Fifth Station – It was cold with heavy rain in the trip to Mount Fuji. The tour guide was nice and caring. She was a Japanese with good spoken in English.
Lunch at Fuji-Q Highland was very great and the food was delicious. The environment in the restaurant in Fuji-Q Highland was nice and grand.
Cruise on Lake Kawaguchi & Fuji Panoramic Ropeway
- We spent enough time in a boat at Lake Kawaguchi and Fuji Panoramic Ropeway. I enjoyed the trip and eating delicious soft serve ice cream.
Again, it was a Great tour! it was very convenient.
I really enjoy the trip in Mt.Fuji 5th Station and Lake Kawaguchi Panoramic Tour and I will recommend to my friends to join this tour.

Outstanding tour of Mount Fuji and overall great experience. Mr. Koizumi did a fantastic job as our guide and I would definitely recommend him for anyone taking this tour. Wonderful Trip

I highly recommended this tour if you want to go to Mount Fuji. The bus was cleaned and the tour guide gave tour description for every accurately. Lunch at Fuji Q highland park was delicious and served very well. Although it was raining all day during the trip but we can enjoy it. We have enough time for cursing at Kawaguchiko lake and enjoy fantastic view during the ropeways. My children loves the free ice cream voucher.
I gave 5 stars for veltra and thank you for given us a memorable and wonderful journey in Mount Fuji.

An amazing full day trip for the family!

Even though it was hard to find the meeting place since it was underground, we were pleased to know that the rest of the group were only boarding the bus. We were lucky that we were able to see the mountain since we were told that it was raining up until the day before our tour. The lunch was good and substantial, and kind of fancy because of the ambiance. The cruise was incredible since we got to see the entire mountain from the lake as well as the view from the top of the cable car ride. This was such a great experience even our parents were impressed! I definitely recommend this tour!

Great deal for a great full day tour!

At first, we were hesitant to book this tour because the price was too good to be true, but we took a chance and wanted to experience it ourselves. We had a difficult time finding the meeting place and was late for a couple of minutes, but Ms. Terry, our guide, waited for us. The bus ride took 2 hours from Shinjuku to the Mt. Fuji 5th station. We were greeted with a picturesque view of the mountain as well as a lovely 40 minute tour with a pleasantly cold weather. Don't forget to try the mountain-shaped melon bread there! We had a good three course lunch at the Fuji Q Highland restaurant. It's also a great photo spot where you could see more of the mountain. We then headed to the Lake Kawaguchi boat cruise where you could have a closer look at the mountain as well as a cable car ride at Hakone rope way. As you exchange the ticket for the cable car, you also get a free pen as a souvenir. The tanuki dango with soy and matcha drink there is really good. There was also a good ice cream shop where you could choose from four flavors; peach, vanilla, lavender and grape. All in all, with the tour, food and the bus ride going back to the meeting point, the price for this full day tour is such a steal. I highly recommend this tour for those of you who want to maximize their budget. The guide was really good at explaining and was very accomodating!

Then plenty of time was given for the scenic rope-way with best views of Fuji and a boat at Kawaguchiko lake. Highly recommend this particular tour of Fuji. It is really hard to get to Fuji using public transportation outside of climbing season, so bus tour is great option. Tour description is very accurate, every activity was completed in time. Tour started at 5th station, ok time was allowed there. Then lunch was in Fiji-Q park, lunch place was surprisingly nice, French restaurant with full course menu. Then plenty of time was given for the scenic rope-way with best views of Fuji and a boat at Kawaguchiko lake. All tickets and lunch included in tour price; they even gave a voucher for an ice cream or small souvenir at lake Kawaguchiko. Private Mt. Fuji Tour from Tokyo with Arakura Sengen Shrine & Fuji Five Lakes
A great trip to Mt. Fuji area

My family and I took the private tour arranged by Tokyo Star Agency to the Mt. Fuji area, not to the Mt. Fuji itself, but rather to the surrounding areas such as Lake Saiko, Saiko Iyashino-Sato Nenba, Hanaterasu, Mt. Fuji Ropeway and also a visit to the local sake brewery, Ide Sake. Our tour guide, Mrs. Yuko Matsuka was an amazing lady and spoke good English. She lives in the Mt. Fuji area so she has extensive knowledge about this particular region. I really adored her. She also paid attention to my daughters' needs, I could tell that she's sincere and thoughtful. She took us for lunch at Maple Restaurant, the food was very good, enjoyed by my kids and also myself. It was one of the many great meals I've had during my trip in Japan.
Although what we hoped for was to see Mt. Fuji from a far unfortunately didn't come true due to the weather (it was covered with clouds), yet we weren't disappointed since Mrs. Yuko tried her best to entertain us and took us to alternative spots for us to enjoy the day. I also need to mention our driver, Mr. Kenichi Higashi, who was a good driver and also very friendly. He made sure that we're well informed about the traffic condition; also was keen to offer us to make stops at the rest station along the highway.
Overall, I do recommend everyone who's interested in taking a private tour to Mt. Fuji area, to choose the Tokyo Star Agency's service.

Very good tour

We loved the trip to Mount Fuji, it was very cold and rainy. We only had about 30 min to look around, would have loved more time! The included lunch was excellent! The boat ride was nice with great views. We didn't get to do the ropeway due to wind but was refunded the cost which was great customer service. The free ice cream was a bonus that I forgot about! Overall I would take the trip again if I ever make it back to Tokyo!

I was on the fence between booking a private tour or a bus tour to visit Mt. Fuji but I’m so happy I decided to book a private tour. I couldn’t have asked for a more knowledgeable and accommodating tour guide. Taiji made sure we were able to visit all the places we wanted to see around Mt. Fuji even if it went beyond the allotted time. He and the driver, Toshi, we’re fun to be with. I highly recommend their services to anyone who wants to visit Japan.
