I arrived at Yakushima Airport just before noon and participated in a half-day plan in the afternoon.

After taking a taxi to the destination, as soon as I got out of the car, the air felt cool and refreshing.

The 50-minute walking course through the Jomon Sugi and Yakusugi Land was just the right amount of exercise for someone like me, who hardly moves my body except for commuting.

The guide accompanied us along the course, teaching us about the magnificent Yakusugi and other plants unique to Yakushima. I also had the chance to see Yakuzaru and Yakushika from the car on the way back, which made for wonderful memories.

The next day, I joined a more serious trekking tour, but I was so focused on watching my footing and it was quite physically demanding that I didn't have the energy to enjoy the scenery and plants (laughs). So, this half-day tour was just right for my physical condition!

当日の昼前に屋久島空港着で、午後半日プランに参加しました。
タクシーで目的地まで登り、車を降りたとたん、空気がひんやり、澄んだ感じでした。
紀元杉とヤクスギランド５０分散策コースは、普段、通勤以外はほとんど体を動かさない自分にはちょうどいい運動量でした。
ガイドさんがコースをいっしょに案内してくださり、立派な屋久杉をはじめ、屋久島特有の植物なども教えてくださり、行き帰りの車内からですが、ヤクザルやヤクシカを見れたので、とても良い思い出になりました。
翌日に別の本格的なトレッキングツアーにも参加したのですが、足元に注意するのに必死＆体力的にもけっこうきつく風景や植物を愛でる余裕が無かったので（笑）、この半日ツアーが自分の体力的にはちょうど良かったです!

訪問中は少し急いでいる時間がありましたが、コースはとても良かったです。ランチは普通でしたが、日本語があまり得意でない方のためにガイドブックが用意されています。

Although time is a little bit hurry during the visit, the course is very good. Lunch is normal, guide books are provided for people who do not know Japanese well.

I participated in a morning-only tour, and I really enjoyed it! The guide explained various histories and characteristics of the town, including places that I didn't think much of when I drove through them myself. I was also satisfied to see wild monkeys and deer! Since I needed to catch the 1 PM ferry, the guide was attentive to that, which made me feel at ease. I'm glad I used this tour!

However, there was an issue with the operations leading up to the tour. Even though I had informed the tour company via email about needing to catch the ferry, it wasn't communicated to the guide during the phone confirmation the day before, and I had to explain it multiple times. I was quite worried because if I missed the ferry, I would also miss my return flight.

午前中のみのツアーに参加したのですが、自分たちで車で通った時にはなんとも思わなかった場所も含めて、ガイドさんが色々な歴史や町の特長を説明してくれてとても楽しめました！
野生のサルや鹿も見れて満足です！
午後13時のフェリーに乗る必要があったため、ガイドさんも気にかけてくれて安心出来ました！
このツアーを利用して良かったです！

ただ、ツアー参加までのオペレーションに問題があり、フェリーに乗ることをメールでツアー会社に伝えていたのに、前日の電話確認の方にもガイドさんにも伝わっていなく、何度も説明しなくてはいけなかったのが、フェリーを逃してしまうと、帰りの飛行機にも間に合わなくなっていまうためかなり心配になりました。

That day, since there were only a few of us, we took a taxi around the area. The taxi driver who assisted us had an impressive amount of knowledge! His explanations about Yakushima's plants, as well as the natural environment, culture, and the lives of the people in Yakushima, were very interesting.

その日は、少人数だったので、タクシーでの一周でした。担当して頂いたタクシーの運転手さんの知識量の多いこと！
屋久島の植物のことはもちろんのこと、自然環境、文化、屋久島の人々の生活など広く深い知識による説明はとてもおもしろかったです。

We took a bus tour with five of us and another family of four, traveling in a jumbo taxi (if there are more than ten people, it seems a microbus is used). The pick-up from in front of our accommodation was very convenient.

We visited almost all the popular spots, received detailed explanations, and had photos taken for us, which was greatly appreciated. Unlike typical group tours where you're often rushed, there was no pressure, allowing us to explore at a comfortable pace.

The tour goes around Yakushima, so you can enjoy the sea to your heart's content. On the Western Forest Road, you are sure to encounter monkeys and deer. If you add trekking courses like Shiratani Unsuikyo, which are not included in this tour, Yakushima will be absolutely perfect.

I highly recommend this for first-time visitors to Yakushima!!! (The "Ono-no-Ma Onsen" recommended by our driver (who also served as our guide) was also fantastic.)

「バスツアー」ですが、私たち5人と他の家族の4人がいっしょで、ジャンボタクシーで回りました（10名以上なら、マイクロバスになるらしいです）。
宿の前からの送迎で、大変便利でした。
人気スポットをほとんど回り、詳しい説明もあり、また、写真も撮っていただきまして、大変お世話になりました。
普通団体ツアーでは時間に催促されがちなのですが、そういう圧迫もなく、余裕を持って、見て回れました。
屋久島を１周しますので、海も心行くまで見れます。西部林道では、サルと鹿にも必ずあえます。
このツアーに含まれない、白谷雲水峡などのトレキングコースなどを加えれば、屋久島はもうぱっちりだと思います。
初めての屋久島には、お勧めです！！！
(ドライバー(兼ガイド)さんに教えてもらった「尾の間温泉」も最高でした)

I had almost zero prior knowledge, but thanks to the wonderful explanations from our guide, I thoroughly enjoyed the great nature of Yakushima. The stories, sprinkled with occasional jokes, were fantastic (laughs). I was also lucky enough to encounter the Yakuzaru and deer, making for a fulfilling day.

予備知識はほぼゼロでしたが、ガイドさんの素晴らしい説明のおかげで屋久島の大自然を満喫しました。時々のジョークを交えた話も最高でした（笑）やくざる＆シカにも運良く、遭遇することができ、充実した１日となりました。

The day after trekking the Yakusugi, I thought my legs would probably be out of commission, so I signed up for a sightseeing bus tour. It was a great way to experience several famous spots with just the right amount of walking, and I was very satisfied with the experience.

At various points, the tour guide shared unique information about Yakushima that was truly captivating and provided a refreshing experience. When we visited, there was a festival happening in Miyanoura, and the lively atmosphere was a nice change from the usual.

屋久杉トレッキングの翌日、恐らく足がOUTであろうと考え周遊バスツアーを申し込みました。程よいウォーキングに名所の数々を一気に体感する事が出来て非常時に満足です。
ところどころで、ツアーガイドさんが説明してくれる屋久島ならではの情報には聞き入るばかりでとても新鮮な体験、私達が行った頃には、宮之浦でお祭りが開催されており人も賑やかで普段とは違う雰囲気も味わえました。

Not only was the sightseeing around Yakushima great, but the guide's stories were also incredibly enjoyable, and I was completely satisfied! Although I was traveling alone, I was able to take many photos, which became wonderful memories. Thank you very much for the transportation to my accommodation.

I participated in the morning course. We went around the island in a clockwise direction, visiting beautiful spots like waterfalls and beaches that are hard to reach without a car, and we encountered wild monkeys and deer on the west side of the island.

On Yakushima, the roads on the east side seem wide and easy to drive, but the west side has challenging routes for beginner drivers (there's not enough width for two cars to pass, so one has to pull over to the side). This tour was extremely helpful for us since we couldn't drive.

午前中のコースで参加しました。
島をぐるりと時計周りで一周し、美しい滝な浜など、車が無いとなかなか行けない観光スポットをまわってくれ、島の西側では野生の猿や鹿にも遭遇します。

屋久島は島の東側は道も広く運転しやすそうですが、西側は運転初心者には厳しいコース（すれ違いできる幅がなく、どちらかが道の端に避ける必要あり）のため、車の運転ができない私達にとっては非常に助かったツアーでした。

I participated in the Yakuzaru tour in the afternoon. I was worried about joining alone, but the guide and the other participants were all nice people, and I had a great time! It was recommended for me since I had little knowledge about Yakusugi, as I could learn while being guided. During my tour, I was also able to see Yakushima deer and Yakuzaru from the vehicle. I'm glad I participated!

やくざる号、午後ツアーに参加しました。ひとりでの参加で心配してましたが、ガイドさんや他のツアー参加者の方達も良い人達で楽しかったです！
ガイドしてもらいながら、まわれるので屋久杉について知識が少なかった自分にとってオススメでした。私が巡った時は、ヤクシカやヤクザルも車中から見ることが出来ました。参加してよかったです！

Considering the price, I was quite satisfied. Especially since I was alone, it felt like it wouldn't have made much difference if I had rented a car and paid for gas. I had almost zero prior knowledge, so without the guide's explanations, I would have just been taking pictures. During the bus ride, the guide's remarkable talk kept me completely engaged the entire time. I wonder if there's a well-crafted script based on the reactions of past customers.

値段を考えれば、十分満足できました。特に1人だったので、1人でレンタカー借りてガソリン代払ってたら大して変わらない気がしたので良かった。予備知識ほぼゼロだったので、ガイドさんの説明がなければただ写真を撮るだけになっていた。バスでの移動中、その時間を全く飽きさせない見事なトークでした。今までのお客さんの反応などから練りに練った台本があるのかな。

It seems that the mode of transportation varies depending on the number of participants. This time, I was with one person for the whole day and two others in the afternoon, so we traveled by taxi. In the morning, we went around the island, and in the afternoon, we visited Yakusugi Land. The driver and guide shared a lot of information about the island, making it a day that exceeded my expectations and was truly enjoyable. The lunch portion was ample, and the flying fish was very delicious!

It was raining at Yakusugi Land, and the footing was poor, making it a bit challenging to walk. However, the path wasn't too steep, so sneakers or similar footwear were sufficient. Although I participated alone, the guide was kind, friendly, and humorous, taking photos for me here and there. Yakushima has not only forests but also many famous spots, and I had a wonderful time sightseeing in a relaxed manner throughout the day! Thank you very much.

参加人数によって移動手段が異なるようです。
今回は一日ご一緒だったのがお一人と午後からの方がお二人でしたのでタクシーでの移動でした。
午前は島内1周、午後からヤクスギランドに行きました。
ドライバー兼ガイドの方が島内のことについて沢山お話してくれ、期待以上に楽しい一日になりました。
お昼ご飯の量も十分で、トビウオもとってもおいしかったです！
ヤクスギランドは雨が降っており、足場が悪いため歩くのにやや苦労しました。
ただ、そこまで険しい道のりではないのでスニーカー等の装備で充分でした。
一人での参加でしたが、ところどころ写真を撮ってくださったり、優し気さくでユーモラスなガイドさんでした。
屋久島には森だけでなく沢山の名所があり、一日でゆるっと観光できてとても楽しかったです！
本当にありがとうございました。

I participated in the afternoon on the day I arrived. Since there were only two stops, the travel time was long, but I was able to feel the essence of Yakushima. Yakusugi Land was great.

After getting off the bus, I noticed that the bus with just the tour guide and the driver waved at me as they were returning from dropping off other passengers at the hotel, which made me happy.

着いた日に午後参加。2箇所だけの立ち寄りだったので移動時間が長かったが、屋久島を感じられた。
ヤクスギランドよかった。

バスを降りたあと、他の乗客をホテルに送った帰りだと思うが、バスガイドさんと運転手さんだけのバスとすれ違った時に気づいてくれて、手を振ってくれて嬉しかった。

I couldn't drive, so it was nice to have someone take me around to various places. It was raining, but I learned a lot of interesting facts like, "Actually, the view is better from this side!" It was a lot of fun. They were kind throughout the trip. The people of Yakushima are all really nice.

運転できないので、いろんなところを回ってもらえて楽だった。雨だったけど、「実はこっちからの方が景色がよく見える！」とか豆知識みたいなこともいっぱい教えてくれて楽しかった。終始親切。屋久島の人はいい人ばっかりだ。

The guide's stories during the trip were interesting. It was a tour where we could walk through the World Heritage area. I thought it was a tour with a lot of substance.

移動時のガイドさんの話が面白い。世界遺産区域のウォーキングもできるツアーでした。中身の濃いツアーだと思いました。

It was great.
It was more fun than I imagined.
The guide was kind.
After my husband and I finished our meal at the restaurant, as we were about to head back to the hotel, the guide waited outside the restaurant for us. Then, we were taken back to the hotel.
I was so moved...

I went on a 2-night, 3-day trip to Yakushima. On the final day, I wanted to make the most of the morning before taking the ferry in the early afternoon, so I joined a half-day bus tour. I was exhausted from the Jomon Sugi trekking on the second day, so this tour, which efficiently took us around the island to visit the main sightseeing spots, was greatly appreciated. We were blessed with good weather, and the scenery from the bus window was beautiful, plus the guide was very skilled in sharing information. It turned out to be a very fulfilling and enjoyable tour.

2日目の縄文杉トレッキングで疲れ果てていましたので
バスで効率良く島を一周して主な観光地を巡ってくれる

ガイドさんの話がとても上手でした。

The day we participated was sunny, and the scenery was clearly visible no matter where we went, which was great. The guide was enjoyable, and I think 5,000 yen for a full day of sightseeing with meals included is a good deal.

参加した日は晴れていて、どこへ行っても景色がはっきりと見えてとても良かったです。
ガイドさんは楽しい方でしたし、1日観光もできて食事もついて5000円は安いと思います。

The small group size allowed us to take our time exploring. It was perfect for my first trip to Yakushima, as we could efficiently visit the sights. The driver and guide were both wonderful and very comforting. I highly recommend it!

少人数制で、ゆっくりと見学できました。効率良く名所を回れるので、初めての屋久島の旅にピッタリです。ドライバーさんやガイドさんの人柄も大変良く癒されました。本当におススメです！

It was a day with quite a bit of rain, and we were ready to give up on sightseeing ourselves, but since we were picked up at the hotel and efficiently taken to the sightseeing spots, we were glad we participated.

結構な雨降りの日で、自分達では観光は諦めてしまうところでしたが、ホテルまで迎えに来て貰えるし、観光のポイントを要領よく回って貰えるので、参加してよかったです。

Since there were 8 participants, we toured in a jumbo taxi and were able to spend the day in a friendly atmosphere. The guide was very kind and took us to places that are not included in the usual tourist routes. Moreover, he had a wealth of knowledge about Yakushima, and we learned many things (such as the villa of Horiemon and the Aum Shinrikyo hideout...). He also provided detailed information about the Yakusugi trees. Thank you very much.

参加者が8人だったのでｼﾞｬﾝﾎﾞﾀｸｼｰでの観光となり､ﾌﾚﾝﾄﾞﾘｰな雰囲気で一日を過ごす事が出来ました｡

I finally got to take my long-awaited trip to Yakushima and participated in a bus tour to circle the island. Unfortunately, the western forest road was blocked, so the bus couldn't pass, which was disappointing. The driver and guide were both excellent. Thanks to them, I had a wonderful day.

念願だった屋久島旅行　島一周がしたくてバスツアーに参加させていただきました。あいにく西部林道が崩れてバスが通れなくてざんねんでした。運転手さん件ガイドさん大変よかったです。おかげで楽しく一日すごせました。

I participated only in the morning to match my flight schedule, but I had a great time sightseeing. I would like to spend a full day exploring Yakushima when I visit again.

フライト時刻に合わせて午前中だけの参加でしたが、とても楽しく観光できました。また屋久島を訪れるときは１日たっぷりと観光してみたいです。

I was feeling unwell, but I was helped by being picked up right in front of the guesthouse. I was able to circle Yakushima in one day and see monkeys and deer, visit waterfalls, the banyan tree, Inakahama Beach, and the Jomon Sugi. Considering the meals included at this price, the cost performance is so good that I was worried if it was worth it. The meals were like a lunch set from a restaurant that also had a souvenir shop. Guests participating in the tour ate together at two tables. It wasn't a very casual atmosphere for chatting with each other, so it felt a bit uneasy.

体調不良だったのですが、民宿前までピックアップに来てもらい、助かりました。1日で屋久島を1周できて猿や鹿も見れて、滝やガジュマル、いなか浜、紀元杉を周り、食事付きでこの価格ですから、元がとれるのか心配になるくらいコスパが良いです。食事はお土産やさんを併設したレストランのランチセットみたいなもの。ツアーに参加した客が2つのテーブルで一緒に食べる。お互い雑談するような雰囲気ではなかったので、少し落ち着かなかったかな。

I participated in a half-day tour in the afternoon. The driver was knowledgeable and provided explanations while we toured together, and I was able to get photos taken from the best angles. It exceeded my expectations.

午後の半日ツアーに参加しました。運転手さんは知識豊富で、一緒に回って説明、ベストな角度から写真も撮ってもらえました。
思っていた以上の内容でした。

The guide provided information about island life, the land, and the mountains throughout our tour of the island, and they also helped us with taking photos, making for a fulfilling day. I regret that we couldn't complete a full circle around the island due to construction and missed visiting Inakahama.

島内を回っている間ずっと島の生活についてや土地や山のことなどガイドがあり、写真撮影も協力していただき、充実した1日を過ごせました。
工事の関係で島内一周が出来ずいなか浜に行けなかったのが心残りでした。

I requested the afternoon course, and I received a confirmation call the day before, which made me feel at ease for the day of the event! The tour included Yakusugi Land and the Kigen Sugi, and it was a great deal with an excellent guide and the opportunity to take photos from the best positions! Since they also provide transportation back to the accommodation, it serves as a convenient alternative for those who haven't rented a car, making it a win-win situation!

午後からのコースをお願いしましたが前日には確認のお電話があり、安心して当日を迎えることができました！ヤクスギランドと紀元杉の見学でしたが絶妙なガイドさんの案内プラスベストポジションでの写真撮影もあってとてもお得なコースでした！帰りは宿までは送ってもらえることからレンタカーを借りていない方にはバスやタクシー代わりの交通手段にもなって一石二鳥だと思います〜

I participated in the morning of my last day of stay. I was very satisfied to be able to see points that I couldn't visit on my own, slowly and carefully. The service provided by the driver and guide was wonderful. They shared a wealth of knowledge and experiences about the mountains, plants, and the island's history, and took many photos at each stop. As someone traveling alone, this was especially appreciated. It was clear that they had studied a lot, as growing up on the island doesn't mean knowing everything. It was a great way to wrap up my trip. I highly recommend this tour!

滞在最終日の午前中に参加しました。自力では回れなかったポイントを、ゆっくり丁寧に見ることができて大満足です。
運転とガイドを担当くださった方のサービスが素晴らしかったです。山のこと、植物のこと、島の歴史等、島育ちのさまざまな知識やご経験を余すところなくお話くださって、立ち寄る先々で写真もたくさん撮ってくださいました。ひとり旅だった私には、特にありがたいことでした。
島で育ったから何でも知っているわけではなく、とても勉強されているのも伝わりました。
旅のよい締めくくりになりました。このツアーは、本当にオススメです！

I arrived at Yakushima Airport around noon and participated in the afternoon tour. The itinerary mentioned a 50-minute walk through the Jomon Sugi and Yakusugi Land. So, I assumed that the Yakusugi Land tour would be the 50-minute course up to the Buddha Sugi. However, during the ride, the driver mentioned, "We will have about a 40-minute walk at Yakusugi Land," which gave me a bit of a bad feeling... Unfortunately, that feeling turned out to be accurate, as we only had a 30-minute walking course, and it ended in no time.

Looking at reviews, it seems that it can depend on the driver (and guide) for the day. That day, there were already four people who had been on a full-day tour since the morning, and three additional people, including myself, boarded from the airport, so the driver might have been tired. Well, it was inexpensive, and I was able to make decent use of my arrival day, but it was quite disappointing.

お昼に屋久島空港に着いて、午後から参加しました。
紀元杉と、ヤスクギランド50分程度の散策、という能書きでした。
なので、ヤクスギランドは仏陀杉までの50分コースなのだろうと思っていました。
が、車内で「ヤクスギランドでは40分程度散策します。」と運転手さんが仰るのでちょっと嫌な予感が・・・
その予感は的中し、なんと、30分コースの散策のみであっという間に終了してしまいました。
口コミを見ると、その日の担当ドライバー（兼ガイド）さんにもよるみたいですね。
その日は朝から1日コースに参加されてる方が既に4人いて、空港から私を含め3人追加で乗り込んだ感じで、お疲れだったのかもしれません。
まあ安いし、到着日をまあまあ有効に使えましたが、かなり残念でした。

The day before, I walked around a lot and ended up more tired than I expected... I didn't think much about it when I signed up, but the bus after walking around is highly recommended. (laughs)

This trip had a short duration, but I was able to visit many places, so I’m very satisfied!! I also encountered the monkeys and deer of Yakushima, and I was able to soak in the negative ions from the waterfalls, making it a truly refreshing trip.

前日は色々歩き回ったのですが、思った以上に疲れてしまい、、、申し込んだ時はそんなに考えてなかったのですが、歩き回った後のバスは凄くおすすめです。笑

今回の旅は滞在期間が短かったのですが、まとめて巡れたので大満足！！屋久島の猿や鹿達にも出会え、滝のマイナスイオンも浴びて、ほんとリフレッシュできた旅になりました。
