It was a very enjoyable tour. The guide was very knowledgeable about plants, and if it had just been me, I would have just stared blankly, but they explained everything in detail. The driver was also very skilled at driving. I was also happy to see many Yakushima monkeys.

とても楽しいツアーでした。ガイドさんがとても植物などに詳しくて、自分をだけだったらボーッと眺めて終わってしまうところを詳しく教えてくださいました。運転手さんも、運転がとてもお上手でした。また、屋久島サルに沢山会えて嬉しかったです。

Although I signed up at the last minute, the tour went ahead, and I was able to experience the charm of Yakushima in a comprehensive way. It was a very good tour for beginners.

However, the guide's English skills were lacking, so international tourists might have had a different impression.

I booked a tour on Yakushima for the first time. I was able to fully enjoy the beauty of Yakushima in just one day, and it became a wonderful memory. The rich nature, beautiful forests, and sea were all fantastic. The food was delicious and satisfying. Thank you!

I booked this activity for the second day after entering Yakushima. On the first day, I arrived at Yaku-kyō around 3 PM and took a walk. On the second day, I participated in a bus tour that circled the entire island. This tour was perfect for deepening my understanding of Yakushima. While going around, we visited various sightseeing spots with explanations from the guide, and I learned a lot about Yakushima. In addition to the sightseeing spots, I encountered monkeys and enjoyed fried flying fish for lunch, making it a fulfilling day.

屋久島に入って2日目のアクティビィティとして予約しました。初日は昼過ぎ(3時頃)に箭渓ついたので、徒歩で散策。2日目はバスで全島一周ツアーに参加。まずは屋久島の理解を深めるのにこのツアーは最適でした。ぐるりと一周しながら、各観光名所をガイドさんの説明と共にめぐり、屋久島の事が良くわかりました。観光名所の他に、猿にも出会い、昼御飯では飛び魚の唐揚げも頂いて、充実した一日になりました。

Since I traveled alone without renting a car, I was able to efficiently explore the island thanks to the bus tour. Our guide, Mr. Habu, was a veteran with extensive knowledge. He provided detailed explanations of the highlights at each landmark, making the sightseeing experience very enjoyable. They picked me up from the hotel and dropped me off at the airport on the way back, and they also took care of my suitcase, which was a great help. I highly recommend this for travelers without a car!

レンタカーを借りない一人旅だったので、バスツアーのおかげで効率よく島を観光することができました。ガイドのはぶさんはベテランで知識が豊富。おかげで名所の見どころを詳しく説明していただきとても楽しく観光できました。行きはホテル迎え、帰りは空港送りでスーツケースも預かっていただき大変助かりました。車がない旅行者におすすめします！

It was a solo trip for seniors, but I was able to efficiently explore the southern side of Yakushima. I had given up on seeing Jomon Sugi from the start, but I was very satisfied to experience the deep forest atmosphere at Yakusugi Land and meet the ancient cedar and Buddha cedar.
I recommend it for seniors and solo travelers as well.
The bus guide, Ishigawa, was bright and energetic, which gave me a boost of energy. Thank you very much.

Participating alone is a bit more expensive, but I guess the benefit is being able to use two seats for myself?

On the last day of my trip to Yakushima, I participated in the Yakuzaru bus tour. Since I had been trekking to Jomon Sugi and Shiratani Unsuikyo, it was great to be able to do some sightseeing on the last day. I was very satisfied to be taken to various places that are not easy to visit individually, such as Kuriohama, Ohkawa Falls, Chihiro Falls, Nakama Gajumaru, and Kigen Sugi. The guide's stories were enjoyable, and I was able to spend a wonderful, relaxing time. The souvenir shop we stopped by had a rich selection, and I was able to make some great purchases. From the bus window, I could also see monkeys and Tanegashima, making it a worthwhile experience.

屋久島旅行最終日に屋久島周遊やくざる号に参加しました。縄文杉と白谷雲水峡のトレッキング続きだったので、最終日に島内観光が出来て良かったです。個人ではなかなか行きにくい栗生浜、大川の滝、千尋の滝、中間ガジュマル、紀元杉等々、様々な場所に連れて行っていただけて大満足です。ガイドさんのお話も楽しく、素敵な癒しの時間を過ごすことができました。途中、立ち寄ったお土産さんの品揃えも豊富で、お得な買い物が出来ました。車窓からは、親子猿や種子島などを眺めることも出来、参加して良かったです。

Mr. Okubo was very interesting. He explained various things by contrasting them, which made it easy to understand. For example, the comparison of fuel efficiency between light vehicles and 1000cc cars.

大久保さん大変面白かったです。色々の事を、対比して説明して頂き分かり易かったです。
例えば軽自動車と１０００ccの車の燃費比較とか。

It was great to see various places and hear about Yakushima from the guide. There were also people getting off at the airport. They might be flexible with arrangements. The bus was not very large, and the seats were a bit tight. I recommend making an early reservation.

色んな場所が観れて、ガイドさんから屋久島について話が聞けて、とても良かったです。空港で降りてる方もいました。融通をきかせてくれるのかもしれません。バスは大きくなく、シートもちょっとキツかったです。早めの予約をお勧めします。

This time, I stayed in Yakushima for 4 nights and 5 days, thanks to an invitation from a friend and the gods of Yakushima. As expected from such an invitation, we were blessed with beautiful weather throughout our stay!

In the middle of the itinerary, I participated in a sightseeing tour around the island on the "Yakuzaru" train. It might be a good tour even for those who are not good at trekking. However, I didn't anticipate driving up the mountain roads, and since I didn't take any motion sickness medication, I ended up feeling nauseous on the winding roads. For those who will participate in the future, please don't underestimate the mountains and definitely take motion sickness medication.

After such a fun 5 days, I feel very sad to leave. Thank you to the gods of Yakushima for the invitation!

今回、友達からのお誘いと屋久島の神様から招待されたのが
きっかけで4泊5日で屋久島に滞在しました。
招待されるだけあって滞在中は晴天続き
素晴らしい天候に恵まれました！

日程の真ん中は「やくざる号」で島1周の観光ツアーに参加、
トレッキングは苦手の人にもいいツアーかもしれません
ただ、山道を車で上ることをあまり想定していなかったので
乗り物酔い止めを服用せず向かったら案の定、山道に酔ってしまいました
これから参加する人は、どうか山を甘くみず
酔い止め薬は絶対服用した方がいいです

とても楽しい5日間を終えてとても寂しい気持ちです

I had been wanting to visit Yakushima for many years, and while searching for options, I found this site that mentioned I could tour the island on the Yakuzaru bus, so I signed up immediately. It was a large taxi, so the ride was comfortable, and there were only three participants, including myself, which made for a luxurious sightseeing experience.

The driver, who also served as our guide, shared fascinating information about the origins of Yakushima, the Yakusugi trees, and why it was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

I have been recommending this to friends and family. When I visit Yakushima again, I will definitely participate again. Thank you very much!

長年訪れたかった屋久島を回るのに　どうしたものかと探していたところ　こちらのサイトを見つけ　やくざる号で島巡りが出来るとあったので　即申込みました。大型タクシーだったので　乗り心地も良く　参加者は私を含め3人で　贅沢な観光をさせて頂きました。

I had a great experience touring Yakushima while listening to various stories from the guide about the island's geography and history. It's definitely a better experience than wandering around on my own. There's a big difference between exploring with knowledge and without it. I was also very satisfied to see the Yakushima deer and Yakushima macaques while being comfortably rocked by the bus.

屋久島の地形や歴史…色々なお話をガイドさんに伺いながら観光が出来て、自分で勝手にうろちょろするより良い経験が出来ました。
分かった上で見て回るのと、知識があるのとではやっぱり違います。
楽ちんなバスに揺られてヤクシカやヤクザルも見れて大満足。

I felt no anxiety at all about the careful driving and adherence to manners. Even when drinking water, the driver stopped first, which I truly appreciated.

I was amazed by the wealth of knowledge. The information about the years, plant names, and the formation of the islands kept me entertained all day long, and the enjoyable day flew by.

I also had several wonderful photo opportunities.

This was the perfect tour for exploring Yakushima without a rental car! The flying fish tempura for lunch was so delicious that it made me want to visit Yakushima again just for that. While there are buses in Yakushima, they don't run frequently, so it might be difficult to fully enjoy sightseeing unless you have plenty of time and a flexible schedule. I went from the Kanto region for a 2-night, 3-day trip, and I'm really glad I participated in this tour!

レンタカー無しで屋久島をまわるには最適なツアーでした！昼食のとびうおの唐揚げがとても美味しくて、それだけでもまた屋久島に行きたいと思うほど◎屋久島はバスもありますが、頻繁にあるわけじゃないので時間や日程に余裕がある方じゃないと十分に観光するのは難しいかもしれません。私は関東から2泊3日でいったのでこちらのツアーに参加して本当に良かったです♪

Although there are local buses on Yakushima, their frequency is very low, making it impossible to get around without a rental car in a short amount of time. However, this tour was great because it covered hard-to-reach attractions on the island without a car. I was able to make the most of my day before my evening flight to Kagoshima. The guide shared many interesting insights that I wouldn't have known if I had explored on my own, making it both enjoyable and informative. When I participated, some roads were closed due to a typhoon, so we couldn't circle the island, but we were able to reach areas like the western forest road, which had been inaccessible just days before, and I got to see a group of Yakuzaru monkeys. The guide also took us on a 50-minute walk through Yakusugi Land, where the paths are well-maintained and you can see many cedar trees, which might be better than Shiratani Unsuikyo if you're short on time (there's a discount if you visit both Shiratani Unsuikyo and Yakusugi Land, so be sure to keep the ticket from the first one you visit).

For those returning to Kagoshima on the evening flight, if you plan to be dropped off at the airport after the tour, you might find yourself with some awkward downtime before your flight (the airport is small and lacks places to pass the time). However, the hotel right in front of the airport has a hot spring that accepts day-use visitors, so I recommend spending your last moments relaxing in the bath. It's clean and beautiful, and there’s a space to rest, similar to a super sento.

屋久島内は路線バスがあるものの本数がとても少なく、レンタカー無しで短時間であちこちを回るのは不可能なのですが、このツアーは島内の車無しでは回りにくい名所をポイントを抑えて回ってくれるのがとても良かったです。夜の鹿児島行の飛行機まで１日をとても有効に使えました。ガイドさんのお話も自分だけで回っていたらわからないようなことがたくさんで楽しくためになりました。自分が参加したときは台風の影響で一部道が通れず、島を一周というわけにはいかなかったのですが、数日前までは行けなかったらしい西部林道のあたりまで行くことができて、ヤクザルの群れも見ることができました。ガイドさんに案内されて50分ほどヤクスギランド内も歩きましたが、歩道が整備されてたくさんの杉の木が見られるので短時間の場合は白谷雲水峡よりも良いかもしれないと思います（白谷雲水峡とヤクスギランドは両方行くと割引があるので先に行った方の半券はなくさないように持っていってください）。
夜の飛行機で鹿児島に帰る方は、ツアー後空港で降ろしてもらう予定にしていると、飛行機の時間まで中途半端な時間ができてしまうのですが（空港は狭くて待ち時間を潰せるような場所がない）、空港目の前のホテルの温泉が日帰り入浴を受け入れているので最後にお風呂で過ごすのがおすすめです。清潔感があって綺麗ですし、スーパー銭湯的な感じで休憩できるスペースもありました。

Since my flight on the last day was in the afternoon, I signed up for a half-day tour in the morning. I was grateful that I could book it the day before. I don't think I would have been able to explore as efficiently if I had rented a car myself.

On the other hand, there were two disappointing points.
1. As a solo participant, I had to pay for two seats, making the tour more expensive than for two participants. However, there were quite a few empty seats on the bus, and those who were part of a two-person group were comfortably sitting with two seats each. It felt a bit like I was being scammed with the solo participant surcharge.
2. Due to the recent typhoon, the bridge over the Seibu Forest Road was washed away, resulting in significant changes to the course. I hope for a swift recovery for the locals, as their lives must be inconvenient. However, I think it would have been good if the tour course details had been updated as well. I was looking forward to the beach, so it was disappointing.

最終日のフライトが午後便だったので、午前半日ツアーを申し込みました。前日申込できたのでありがたかったです。自分でレンタカーを借りていたら、こんなに効率的に周れなかったと思います。
一方、残念だった点が２つ。
①一人参加は2シート利用ということで、二人参加よりも高額なツアー料金でしたが、バスは空き席がかなりあり、2名参加の方も一人2シート使って悠々と座っていたこと。一人参加の割増料金の意味って・・・若干詐欺にあったような気分です。
②先日の台風で西武林道に架かる橋が流されたとのことでコースが大きく変更になっていました。地元の方の生活も不便でしょうし一日も早い復興をお祈りします。ただ、ツアーコースの記載内容も変更されていたら良いと思いました。ビーチ楽しみにしていたので残念です。

I decided to travel to Yakushima right after the typhoon passed, and although it was only half a day, I was looking forward to it. Due to landslides, I couldn't go around the island, but I was glad to see the impressive waterfalls up close. I was also happy to unexpectedly see the Yakuzaru. When the departure point for Toppy was changed due to driftwood, they kindly took me to the port since it was nearby. I was very grateful for their help.

台風通過直後に屋久島への旅を決行して、半日でしたが楽しみにしていました。
土砂崩れで道が寸断され、島一周は叶いませんでしたが、迫力のある滝を間近に見る事ができて良かったです。偶然にもヤクザルにも見る事も叶い嬉しかったです。
トッピーの出航先が流木で変更になった時、近くを通るからと港まで送って下さいました。
とても助かりありがたかったです。

I visited Jomon Sugi, Shiratani Unsuikyo, and Mount Miyanoura, and I was able to see all the other highlights of Yakushima, including Chihiro Falls, Okawa Falls, the Gajumaru tree, and Yakusugi Land, all in one day. The detailed guidance from our guide helped me understand and enjoy Yakushima even more. The lunch featuring flying fish cuisine was also great.

縄文杉、白谷雲水峡、宮之浦岳には行ったので、それ以外の屋久島の見どころ、千尋の滝、大川の滝、ガジュマルの木、ヤクスギランド等など、もれなく1日で周ることができました。ガイドさんの詳しいガイドでより屋久島のことがよくわかり楽しめました。とびうお料理の昼食付きもよかったです。

I had planned to arrive in Yakushima in the early afternoon, so I booked a guided tour that would allow me to explore conveniently and efficiently. During the travel time, the guide shared various insights about Yakushima, and we were able to visit Yakusugi Land and the Jomon Sugi efficiently. The shuttle service to our accommodation was also a great help! At Yakusugi Land, the guide led us and provided directions, allowing us to enjoy the sights without wasting any time.

On the way, the bus's air conditioning stopped working, and we had to switch to another bus, but their response was quick, which I appreciated!

昼過ぎに屋久島に着く予定だった為、便利で効率的にまわれるガイドツアーを予約しました。移動時間もガイドさんが色々と屋久島の知識を教えてくれて、ヤクスギランドと紀元杉を効率的に回ることができ、宿までの送迎もあって大変助かりました！ヤクスギランドでも案内や順路を先導してもらって、無駄なく楽しく見ることができました。
移動途中、バスの冷房が効かなくなり、別のバスに乗換えましたが、その対応も早くて有り難かったです！

I was sore from the Jomon Sugi trekking the day before, but I enjoyed the bus tour as it efficiently took us around Yakushima. The bus guide, Ayumi Otsuka, shared stories that enhanced the tour experience with great pacing. Thank you very much.

I had a sudden back injury right before my trip, so I switched from kayaking to the Yakusugi Land tour. Two days ago, I visited Yakusugi Land with a private guide, but I thought it would still be fun to go again, so I made a reservation.

As expected, having a bus guide's explanations deepened my understanding of Yakushima. Additionally, the photos taken were absolutely wonderful, and I was able to create many great memories. Yakusugi Land is a place worth visiting multiple times.

ぎっくり腰を直前に患い、カヤックからヤクザル号ツアーに変更致しました。
2日前に貸切ガイドさんとヤクスギランドには訪れましたが、2度目でも楽しいかなぁ、と予約致しました。
やはり、バスガイドさんの説明があるとより屋久島への理解が深まりましたね。また、御写真撮りが大変素晴らしく、良い記念が沢山作れました。ヤクスギランドは、何度も行っても良い所でした。

The guide provided insights into the features of Yakushima and the highlights of the places we visited, which deepened my understanding. Although the western forest road was closed after the typhoon, the alternative plan went smoothly. The bus guide and driver responded calmly and accurately to the road closures ahead of schedule and the bus's air conditioning malfunction. I also enjoyed the flying fish for lunch.

ガイドさんが屋久島の特徴、立ち寄った先の見どころを教えてくださり、理解が深まりました。台風の後で西部林道が通行不可になっていましたが、代替プランもスムーズでした。予定より手前での通行止や、バスの空調の故障にも、バスガイドさん、運転手さんとも冷静かつ的確に対応されていました。お昼のトビウオも美味しくいただきました。

We took a leisurely bus ride around the island from our accommodation in Miyano-ura to the souvenir shop near Miyano-ura Port. I think you could also go by rental car, but it was nice to relax and listen to the guide's stories. The Chihiro Falls and the Okawa Falls have impressive rock formations. I highly recommend seeing them when you visit Yakushima.

On the day of our participation, we were flying back, but the souvenir shop at the airport was small and expensive, so it was great to get off the bus in Miyano-ura and choose from a variety of souvenirs in a larger store. The guide also talked about Yakushima souvenirs on the bus, which was helpful. We wanted to take our time looking at souvenirs, so we took the local bus to the airport, but if you prefer, you can also get off at the airport to match the afternoon tour schedule. If you don't have much time before your flight, that would be a better option.

宮之浦の宿泊場所から宮之浦港近くのお土産屋さんの前まで島をぐるりと一周しました。
レンタカーでも行けると思いますが、ガイドさんの話を聞きながらのんびりバスに乗られてよかったです。
千尋の滝も大川の滝も岩が迫力あります。屋久島に行ったらぜひ見てほしいです。
参加日は飛行機で帰る日でしたが、空港のお土産売場は狭くて高かったので宮之浦でバスを降りてお土産を広い店でいろいろ選べてよかったです。ガイドさんがバス車内で屋久島土産の話もされていたので参考になりました。私達はゆっくりお土産を見たかったので路線バスで空港に行きましたが、希望すれば午後ツアーの時間に合わせて空港で降りることも可能でした。飛行機の時間に余裕がなかったらそちらの方がよいと思います。

Due to scheduling conflicts, I participated in the afternoon and morning tours on separate days. The afternoon tour included only Yakusugi Land and the Jomon Sugi, but it seemed like a challenging drive to get there by rental car due to the high elevation and narrow mountain roads, so I was glad to take the bus.

At Yakusugi Land, I walked slowly on the 30-minute course while listening to explanations. It was perfect for a preview since I had planned to go trekking the next day. It had rained in the morning, so the moss was sparkling with water droplets, making it beautiful.

スケジュールの都合で午後と午前の各ツアーを別日に参加しました。
午後ツアーはヤクスギランドと紀元杉のみですが、標高が高く狭い山道でレンタカーで行くのは大変そうな道だったのでバスに乗ってよかったです。
ヤクスギランドは30分コースを説明を聞きながらゆっくり歩きました。翌日トレッキング予定だったので予習に丁度良かったです。
その日は朝に雨が降っていたので苔に水滴がつきキラキラして綺麗でした。

I participated in the morning course on the Yakuza Ru号. I visited Chihiro Falls two days ago on my own, but when I went as part of the course, it was lovely with the mist after the rain. The bus guide was a local, and he was very interesting and great. It seems that the Seibu Forest Road opened the day before, so I was lucky to be able to go there. I also saw many monkeys and deer! Thank you to the driver for navigating the narrow roads.

やくざる号で午前中のコースに参加しました。
千尋の滝は2日前に個人で行ったのですが、コースで行ったときは、雨上がりで霧がかかりとてもすてきでした。
バスガイドさんは地元の方で、話しが面白くとても良かったです。
西部林道は前日に開通したみたいで、回れてラッキーでした。さるやシカも沢山見れました！
運転手さんも狭い道お疲れさまでした。

A two-day, one-night trip to Yakushima. I was researching how to visit Yakusugi Land and the Jomon Sugi in the limited time I had on the afternoon of the first day when I discovered this tour. With the local bus, you can only visit either Yakusugi Land or Jomon Sugi, and I was also considering using a taxi for one way, so I decided immediately after seeing the tour price.

It was really helpful to leave my large luggage on the bus and enjoy sightseeing, and I appreciated being taken to my hotel in the Onojima area after the tour.

Additionally, I was grateful for the guide's consideration for guests who could only walk slowly. Having a guide made it easy to understand the highlights, and if I have the opportunity to visit Yakushima again, I would like to join the morning course as well. Thank you very much.

一泊二日の屋久島旅行。初日の午後から限られた時間でヤクスギランドと紀元杉をいかにして回ろうかとリサーチしていたところこのツアーを発見。路線バスではヤクスギランドか紀元杉のどちらかしか回れず、片道はタクシー利用も考えていたのでツアー代金を見て即決。
雨がパラつく中、大きな荷物をバスにおいて観光できたのと、ツアー後に尾之間エリアのホテルまで送っていただけたのは本当に助かりました。

また、ガイドさんの、ゆっくりしか歩けないゲストへの気配り心配りもありがたかったです。案内が付くことで見どころもよくわかり、また屋久島に行く機会があれば、午前のコースにも参加したいです。

I participated the day after trekking at Shiratani Unsuikyo. I was suffering from severe muscle pain due to my lack of exercise, but it was great to be able to enjoy sightseeing comfortably. For those who want to take their time to see each spot, the sightseeing time might feel a bit short, but considering that it's possible to cover everything in one day, I think it's sufficient. I appreciated the thoughtful gestures, like allowing my companion with back pain to use the back seat and stopping the bus when we spotted a family of monkeys along the way. The only downside was that the Western Forest Road was closed, but I believe it gives me something to look forward to next time.

白谷雲水峡トレッキングの翌日に参加しました。日頃の運動不足がたたってバリバリの筋肉痛だったのですが、楽して観光が出来てとても良かったです。一つ一つをじっくり見たい方には少し観光時間が物足りないかもしれませんが、1日で回れることを考えれば充分だと思います。腰痛持ちの同行者のために後部座席を使わせて頂いたり、途中やくざるの親子がいればバスを止めて下さったり細やかな気遣いが有り難かったです。唯一、西部林道が通行止めだったのが残念ですが、次の楽しみが出来たと思っています。

Please be careful while driving, as monkeys have been spotted in various places along the roads where there are no houses nearby.

住宅がすぐそばにないところは、道路のところどころにさるが出てきているので車の運転には注意してください。
