No trip to Las Vegas would be complete without a jaunt over to the Grand Canyon. With your choice of either a five hour drive or 30 minute flight by airplane, Las Vegas is one of the closest cities to the Grand Canyon's South Rim. It's massive size boasts 1,902 square miles of rugged terrain, and erosion from the Colorado River has carved out a trench approximately one mile deep. Walk along the West Rim or South Rim or even go down deep within the canyon to explore the canyon floor.
