The guide had been stood up by his colleague so was operating solo and was so obviously out of his depth. He was very likeable and put in a lot of effort but kept forgetting things and kept going over the same things. It took an age just to get us into the water.
A pleasurable fun day but we won't be using them again.

Despite everything saying advanced swimmer only, I was with two people who could not swim. Both of them required rescue by the guide. I spent the majority of the time bobbing in the water by the beach - waiting for them to get swim lessons. There are many rocks there and I ended up breaking my toe while getting slammed by waves. I was able to scooter around the cove twice even with a throbbing toe. I’m sure the guide could feel that I was irritated and I wanted the experience to end ASAP. The reason for the bad review is that no one even followed up or offered me some money back. Take home point: I would not spend my hard earned vacation money on this again.
*** Refund was issued after Veltra/Hawaii Activities reached out. This was very nice of the owner, but it doesn't change my experience and I did not edit my original review.

Barbie is an incredibly knowledgeable and experienced guide. She also makes sure you feel comfortable and prepared in the water. The scooters are easy to use, and I highly recommend paying a bit extra for the floatation wet suits (for ease and extra warmth in the water) and the go pro for must have videos!
We thoroughly enjoyed snorkeling with Barbie! We saw numerous fish, bright coral, turtles and a monk seal! It was a memory to last a lifetime. If you are inexperienced, do not hesitate to take this tour!

Video taping the Monk Seal at Kapalua Bay was the first time in my 40 years of snorkeling. It felt like this beautiful Monk Seal loved having his video taken the way it stayed around and taking it time swimming from coral to coral and even coming to the surfaces. It seem to be very curious and the sound of the sea scooter didn't even make it leave. Even filming the sea turtles and sea life doesn't and hasn't make any difference in the ocean. Thanks to you both we all got to experience a very unique adventures. Truly appreciate you taking the time to write this review for us.

This was an incredibly fun experience. What a great way to see the island. The first half was kayaking and snorkeling which was so fun—Jeremiah (Miah) was a knowledgeable and patient instructor. The second half was lunch and then a water fall hike with Nick from HikeMaui—Nick was a kind and intelligent guide and taught us so much about Maui. We also toured a farm and learned a lot about fruits and botany grown in Hawaii. 10/10 experience.

I can’t fault the company too much for this but our outing got cancelled because of high surf so we moved it back and then that outing got cancelled for high surf. It’s a little frustrating because we try to schedule all of our plans for the day in the same area so this really threw off our plans on two separate days. It may have been useful to get a warning on the second rebooking that there was a decent chance that the boat could get cancelled again. I do understand safety is priority and as someone with no boating experience, I really don’t know how far out a high surf can be predicted. But overall, we’re pretty disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend booking boats that leave from Lahaina.

The snorkeling was beautiful. Saw turtles and so many different fishes.

I've never surfed, but the instructors at Action Sports Maui really take the time to teach you the basics. 海はきれいでとても環境はよかったのですが、マウイ島はほとんど日本語が通じないので日常会話程度の英語ができないときびしいと感じました。
