We had an incredible time on the cultural canoe tour with We Paddle Maui! Our guides Puni, Ivan, and Jesus were awesome! The owner Fabio was great to work with as well! He answered our questions and was very kind! We would HIGHLY recommend this tour! It felt like we were getting a genuine look at the culture of Maui. Puni shared stories with us about Maui, the wildlife, and more. We were very fortunate to be paddling at a time when the whales were here. This made for an even better experience to see whales breaching and to see a mom and calf together in the water from afar. We learned a few Hawaiian words used in paddling, Ivan recited a Hawaiian prayer, and we had a little friendly race with the other boat toward the end. The guides were friendly, professional, and made the tour so much fun! THANK YOU We Paddle Maui! This has been the highlight of our trip!

We had an awesome first day of our trip at 'We Paddle Maui'! Our guides Ivan, Puni, and Jesus showed us the ropes and gave us a run down on these authentic Hawaiian style canoes. We had a truly wholesome experience as we paddled out into the ocean, whales breaching in the distance, stories of the culture exchanged, and knowledge of the sport passed along. I reccomend everyone visiting the island to book a tour with this company, as we left feeling closer to the culture, land, and wildlife! Thanks again to all of our guides, and Fabio, for a great time! We will be back!!

The guide had been stood up by his colleague so was operating solo and was so obviously out of his depth. He was very likeable and put in a lot of effort but kept forgetting things and kept going over the same things. It took an age just to get us into the water.
A pleasurable fun day but we won't be using them again.

Despite everything saying advanced swimmer only, I was with two people who could not swim. Both of them required rescue by the guide. I spent the majority of the time bobbing in the water by the beach - waiting for them to get swim lessons. There are many rocks there and I ended up breaking my toe while getting slammed by waves. I was able to scooter around the cove twice even with a throbbing toe. I’m sure the guide could feel that I was irritated and I wanted the experience to end ASAP. The reason for the bad review is that no one even followed up or offered me some money back. Take home point: I would not spend my hard earned vacation money on this again.
*** Refund was issued after Veltra/Hawaii Activities reached out. This was very nice of the owner, but it doesn't change my experience and I did not edit my original review.

Barbie is an incredibly knowledgeable and experienced guide. She also makes sure you feel comfortable and prepared in the water. The scooters are easy to use, and I highly recommend paying a bit extra for the floatation wet suits (for ease and extra warmth in the water) and the go pro for must have videos!
We thoroughly enjoyed snorkeling with Barbie! We saw numerous fish, bright coral, turtles and a monk seal! It was a memory to last a lifetime. If you are inexperienced, do not hesitate to take this tour!

Video taping the Monk Seal at Kapalua Bay was the first time in my 40 years of snorkeling. It felt like this beautiful Monk Seal loved having his video taken the way it stayed around and taking it time swimming from coral to coral and even coming to the surfaces. It seem to be very curious and the sound of the sea scooter didn't even make it leave. Even filming the sea turtles and sea life doesn't and hasn't make any difference in the ocean. Thanks to you both we all got to experience a very unique adventures. Truly appreciate you taking the time to write this review for us.

This was an incredibly fun experience. What a great way to see the island. The first half was kayaking and snorkeling which was so fun—Jeremiah (Miah) was a knowledgeable and patient instructor. The second half was lunch and then a water fall hike with Nick from HikeMaui—Nick was a kind and intelligent guide and taught us so much about Maui. We also toured a farm and learned a lot about fruits and botany grown in Hawaii. 10/10 experience.

I can’t fault the company too much for this but our outing got cancelled because of high surf so we moved it back and then that outing got cancelled for high surf. It’s a little frustrating because we try to schedule all of our plans for the day in the same area so this really threw off our plans on two separate days. It may have been useful to get a warning on the second rebooking that there was a decent chance that the boat could get cancelled again. I do understand safety is priority and as someone with no boating experience, I really don’t know how far out a high surf can be predicted. But overall, we’re pretty disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend booking boats that leave from Lahaina.

This was a wonderful adventure that added such fun to our stay in Maui. We stayed on the west side but made the 1 hour drive to make memories. And what great memories and pictures we have! This was the perfect amount of time! A total of 3 hours. Some paddling and some snorkeling. For a family of 4, two of which were kids, this was the best kayak trip around. Our guide/teacher made the trip even better. Jake was knowledgeable about the area, made conversation and connections with everyone in our group. He was very confident and thorough with what to expect and what we would need to do to maintain safety. He engaged the kids and even brought of ocean life for them to explore!

We had a great time! It was are 1st time Kayaking for all of us, and we got to see a lot ot turtles and sea life! The hike was amazing! Cole was our tour guide, he was extremely informative and helpful. We were nervous not knowing how difficult the paddle was going to be but it truly was easy. We paddled over to the turtle cleaning station and we’re amazed at all the turtles we literally just hanging out with. Cole showed us different sea life and explained the history of the surrounding islands. It was the best tour we had during all our trips, clear waters, lots of coral and mostly turtles!!! We highly recommend

Our tour guide Matt was remarkably knowledgeable of both the local marine life and also local folklore, history and geography.
He guided us to two spots where we were snorkeling an arms length from some of the most beautiful sea turtles I have ever seen. The best part was because our group was small and coming off of kayaks, we had the entire area to ourselves for the most part. It was truly a breath taking experience.
Matt was engaging, funny, patient and willing to answer any and all questions we all had. I will definitely be doing this tour again, the next time I am in Maui. You will NOT be disappointed! Great value for money - an incredible experience!
