This experience is a MUST if you are staying in Maui!
You will not get to do this anywhere else! And book with Yoshi, he made this experience wonderful from start to end.

We were picked up on time, and did stops to pick up sandwich on route.

Yoshi took us to the summit and then found a nice quiet place for us to see the most beautiful sunset and then the night sky full of stars! It was truly spectacular!
Yoshi was so informative and the views of the Milky Way and craters on the moon from the telescope were amazing!

It’s very cold up at the summit so pack hat, gloves and warm clothes if you are doing this experience.

Yoshi bought coats and gloves for us! And some yummy Krispy Kreme donuts

Thank you again Yoshi for this incredible experience that me and my husband will always remember! It made are trip Hawaii even more special.

We enjoyed a stunning and wonderful sunset at top of Haleakala followed by stargazing. Although the full moon made the night sky too bright and made stargazing a bit difficult, Yoshi still worked hard to review the full moon with his telescope and to show/explain to us the visible stars to ensure we had a memorable time with our family. We had a wonderful time together.

The overall experience was amazing and unforgettable! We got to view the gorgeous sunset and sky studded with millions of stars. Our guide Yoshi provided warm coat and gloves, and we were able to enjoy the whole experience in warmth and comfort. Yoshi setup his powerful telescopes and gave us glimpse of moon's surface, and stars that are light years away. The experience exceeded our expectations, and would recommend for anyone visiting Maui.

暗くなるまでの時間は、沈みゆく太陽と足下の雲海がくりなす茜色の競演に感動しました。
陽が落ち暗くなると空に無数の星が輝き始めましたが、山内さんの豊富な専門知識と機材のお陰で、満点の空に煌めく星の名前や星座が手に取るように判り感動しました。この光景はとてもカメラには捉えられないので、心に星空を焼き付けました。
特に、滅多に見られないと言う「北斗七星と南十字星」が一度に見られ興奮しました。こんな幸運はこの先訪れないと思いますが、機会を作ってまた訪れたいと思います。
皆さんもマウイ島に行かれた時は、是非「ハレアカラ山の夕焼けと星空」を見に訪れてください。

I am not cheap and planned for Hawaii expenses but the hounding was over the top.

Our family of 4 had an amazing time watching the sunset and stargazing with Yoshi! It’s a very special experience that we all enjoyed and won’t soon forget. Yoshi did a great job of making sure everyone was comfortable and adapting to the high altitudes well. He showed us many stars and constellations and provided a lot of details about the island and vegetation. We would definitely recommend this tour!

Yoshi is an excellent, enthusiastic guide who takes great pictures! He provided a lot of neat information about Maui and Haleakala along with extensive knowledge about the stars. You are picked up from fairly accessible locations, and I'm glad to pay for someone experienced in driving the roads, which can get narrow and quite close to cliff edges. Three stops along the way before the peak to get accustomed to the gradual climb in altitude. The actual crater couldn't be seen due to clouds, but Haleakala was still quite beautiful to see. I chose the sunset tour because I didn't want to get up that early for sunrise, and I'm glad I did! I was well rested and the sunset was beautiful. Yoshi provided comfortable camp chairs, warm coats, gloves, and hot tea as we waited for the sunset. You need to bring your own dinner, so don't forget to pack it! It was great, super peaceful, quiet, and comfy! Once night fell, Yoshi brought out some high-tech telescopes and pointed out constellations. I got to see Mars! It was a very clear night and amazing to see all the stars filling the sky. Informative and quite the experience. Afterwards, he drove us back. I really enjoyed this tour and highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stargazing adventure with Yoshi! He thought of everything, including taking us to a private spot, blankets, hot beverages, chairs, as well as a wealth of knowledge and some incredible telescopes and binoculars. We were fortunate enough to have a tour with just the four of us on the day of our trip and we enjoyed every minute of it. Not only was Yoshi, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable but he also drove incredibly safely and stopped plenty of times for bathrooms and was just an all-around pleasure. Started off by getting a call from captain to ensure we were in the area because we couldn’t find it initially. Get on the boat yummy bfast cinnamon rolls- beautiful ocean. We sat up front on the netting- saw flying fish dolphins and whales! The captain of the ship made sure we had a great experience by allowing us to view the dolphins and driving toward the whales to ensure we got a better look. They had lots of facts about the marine animals we saw- the island- and the history of trilogy. During the stay at lanai we enjoyed the beautiful beach and tide pooling- we did not snorkel or snuba. Before we left the island we had a yummy lunch, bbq chicken and noodles that the crew made fresh in a wok smelled so good! Then we boarded the ship and headed back- on the way back we got to see some whales and we learned about the end of whale season and the competition between male whales to get female etc. Mai tais on the way home even offered non alcoholic moctails for the kids. Plus delicious ice cream. Was by far our favorite trip adults and kids included. Thanks trilogy for the amazing experience!

Fantastic trip from beginning to end - The boat ride to the island was smooth and very enjoyable, saw tons on dolphins right up to the boat, flying next to the boat and jumping our of the water. Even saw a Mommy and Baby dolphin - so Cute!!! Then to the Lanai island for a unbelievable snorkeling experience - so many beautiful fish - schools of them - amazing. The Crew was supportive and watchful for the entire group's safety and highest level of Fun. The lunch is all you can eat freshly cooked noodles, teriyaki chicken, salad with mango dressing, refreshing drinks - the most wonderful meal. Don't miss this trip - it is 100% worth your time and the cost of the trip. We plan to go again when we return to Maui.

This was an amazing experience in every step. Our guide, Yoshi, was super nice and cared for each one of us making sure that we felt comfortable and safe on each part of the trip. He taught us a lot about the stars, NASA and the culture of the Island while showing us amazing landscapes and taking incredible pictures of us. He provided blankets and hot tea/coffee to stay warm. Words can’t fully describe this experience. We totally recommend it!

Yoshi was the most gracious, considerate and knowledgeable guide. He gave our family a lasting memory. With the little kind touches of treats and hot drinks and warm blankets, he made a magnificent experience even more enjoyable.
Haleakala is breathtaking! His knowledge of Astronomy and his desire to make our experience unforgettable from beginning to end was the highlight of our visit to Hawaii.
The quiet view of the most memorable sunset we have ever seen and the majestic night sky to wrap up the evening will be treasured forever.
His kind, gentle spirit and true love of Haleakala was more than a tour, it was an experience we shared with him.

Celebrated my boyfriends birthday with this sail. First mate Brandon was awesome! Funny, and kept us entertained! The captain and other crew were great! We had these yummie coconut POG cocktails, and delicious snacks. We saw whales and the sunset was beautiful! I’ve been recommending this sail to everyone I can! This is a definitely must do!
