Welcome to ALASKA—the Last Frontier! Today we explore the wild with a stop in charming Talkeetna before reaching the Alaska Range for a 3-night stay. Catch a glimpse of Denali, North America’s highest peak at 20,310 ft (6,190 m), weather permitting. Camp near Denali National Park for three nights.

Denali is Alaska’s showpiece. Today, explore its wild beauty by bus on a park-operated tour, with excellent wildlife viewing, photo stops, and short walks in its rugged landscape. After your journey deep into the park, return to camp and unwind by the evening campfire.

Enjoy a free day for activities or hiking—your guide will help you plan. The area is home to black and brown bears, beavers, bald eagles, foxes, and many songbirds. Trails near Denali offer excellent hiking, and with luck, you may spot grizzlies, icons of the subarctic.

Today we drive the famous Denali Highway to Maclaren River Lodge. Surrounded by alpine wilderness, this remote retreat offers true Alaskan hospitality. Enjoy the evening overlooking the Maclaren River and the stunning Alaska Range, with an included lodge dinner.

Journey south across the iconic Denali Highway and over the breathtaking Thompson Pass stunning Worthington Glacier, then continue to the charming port town of Valdez.

Hop a motorboat to Shoup Bay for a scenic kayak tour. Paddle past waterfalls, a kittiwake colony, and a retreating glacier, with a beach walk and lunch by the ice. Return by boat to Valdez and enjoy an evening meal out, self-paid.

Depart Valdez via scenic McCarthy Highway through Wrangell-St. Elias, the U.S.’s largest park. Camp 3 nights by the Kennicott River near McCarthy. Explore glaciers, mining history, enjoy dinner in town. Primitive campsite with limited facilities, breathtaking scenery.

Explore the Wrangell Range! From McCarthy, hike along Kennicott and Root glaciers, visit the historic copper town of Kennicott, or take a challenging trek to Bonanza or Jumbo Mine. Optional activities for all levels amid stunning alpine scenery.

Take a flight today with beautiful views of the glaciers, or if you prefer to keep two feet on the ground, sign up for some ice climbing. Activities paid/booked with your guide.

Drive the scenic Glenn Highway to Glacier View. Stay 1 night at Majestic Valley Wilderness Lodge with mountain views. Hike nearby trails or relax on the porch. Enjoy a hot shower, outdoor hot tub, and included farewell dinner. Twin-share lodge accommodation.
