立山黑部阿爾卑斯山脈路線是世界領先的山地觀光路線之一，貫穿北阿爾卑斯山一系列海拔超過3000公尺的山峰。
總長37.2公裡，最大高度差為1,975米。可以飽覽在雲上擴展開來的立山黑部雄偉的大自然。

室堂附近的“大谷”積雪特別多，深度有時超過20米。
冬天被雪封住不能通行，但是春天臨近的時候除雪車進入，大約花費兩個月的時間制作出扣人心絃的雪牆。
