Fun and Beautiful Morning of Kayaking!

Had a wonderful trip on the calm waters of Zushi Bay. Was lucky enough to launch with Mt. Fuji looming through the distant haze. Paddled around watching fish jump out of the water, various birds soar above, wind surfers zip by, and board surfers catch waves off a nearby beach. Took a nice tea break and then headed for a closer look at a giant torii gate. The tour was exactly the peaceful and scenic experience I was looking for and Azumi was the perfect guide.

I've kayaked before, but given the guide's attentiveness and the Bay's calm conditions (I was told that the waters are always like that), I think the tour would be perfect for beginners. I enjoyed it so much I did a second tour later that week. Different guide (Koji this time) but another great experience. I'll definitely do the full day trip with Lounge Ever if I visit the area again!

The friendly owner and guides at Lounge Ever were helpful, fun, and laid-back,
and knew more than enough English (unfortunately I speak no Japanese)
for us to communicate and relate to one another. The kayaking equipment was excellent and Lounge Ever itself was quite comfortable (great coffee too!). There were showers and small lockers for valuables. No problem leaving backpacks at the lounge - I felt totally secure once I saw the set up - though there are lockers at Zushi Station if you don't feel like walking from the station with big items. (I actually left a cumbersome pack at Ofuna, a connecting station I knew I'd be heading back through.) Zushi itself was very easy to get to, as was the meeting point. The general area is worth exploring post-tour too.

I was initially a little skittish about booking through Veltra as I'd never used it before, but it worked perfectly and quickly. When I had a question post-booking, they relayed it to the outfitter and provided me with a timely answer. Payment went smoothly. So I was quite happy with that aspect of the experience too.

I wanted to do snorkeling while my child wanted to try sea kayaking, and while searching for a plan, I discovered this course and decided to participate. Since traveling can be cumbersome with luggage, I wanted to keep it as light as possible. It was very convenient to bring just my swimsuit, rash guard, towel, and sunscreen. Additionally, the guide was kind and shared interesting points of interest, making it enjoyable and reassuring for beginners. I also brought my own camera, but I wasn't able to take great photos, so I appreciated the help in capturing good memories. The staff were friendly and kind, making it a great recommendation for families with children.

I was worried about whether I could do it well, but they taught me carefully from the basics, and then it was showtime! While we were paddling, they shared fun stories, so I didn't feel tired at all (*^^)v. It was a drone photography plan, and they flew the drone multiple times, capturing many beautiful photos and videos♪. The aerial shots, in particular, showcased a technique that can only be done with a drone, and I was overwhelmed by the view of the transparent sea. Everyone is talking about how we definitely want to go again next time! Thank you, Yuuma-kun!! ⇒ (He's young, just 19! Handsome! So kind!) All the staff were friendly and kind, and they were all good-looking guys, haha.

There were so many highlights like the ocean, fish, the Blue Cave, and the beach! It was truly amazing. On top of that, the personality of the manager… He was such a pleasant person, and we were lucky to meet him. My usually shy daughter (8 years old) keeps saying, "I want to see him again" every time she remembers him.

The beauty of the Okinawan sea and sky is a given, but meeting such a wonderful person has been a big factor in drawing us back to Okinawa. I am very grateful for the happy times we spent together. After much consideration, I decided to include drone footage. Looking back on the trip, I’m glad I did it. There are extraordinary images captured there.

It was our family's first trip to Okinawa, and our first tour! We thought snorkeling would be the main event and that sea kayaking would be just a bonus, but by the end, we were saying, "Sea kayaking was the best!"

The kids were really anxious and worried, but thanks to our friendly guide, they completely opened up and seemed to have a great time.

At the Blue Cave, there were a lot of people since it was summer vacation, but we were able to enjoy the beautiful, clear sea in a private setting while kayaking! According to our guide, it’s one of the few hidden natural beaches in Okinawa. The weather was great that day, and it was a big tide, so as we paddled a bit further, land appeared, and we were able to land there and interact with sea creatures like crabs and mantis shrimp, which made the kids very happy.

Next time we go to Okinawa, we definitely want to do this again. I’d also like to try the drone tour that others have praised and the guide's recommended "Sunset Sea Kayaking."

青の洞窟では夏休みという事もあり、人が多かったのですが、シーカヤックではこの透明度の高い綺麗な海を貸切状態で楽しめました！ガイドさん曰く、沖縄でも数少ない穴場天然ビーチとの事。その日は天気も良く、大潮だったようで、カヤックで少し進んだあたりに陸地が表れており、そこに上陸してカニやシャコなど海の生き物にも触れあう事ができ、子供たちは大満足。

次に沖縄に行ったら、またぜひお願いしたいです。他の口コミの方でも好評のドローンを使ったツアーやガイドさんおススメの『サンセット シーカヤック』もやってみたいです。

The Blue Cave was really crowded, and we had to wait in line, but the guide made sure we could experience it before a long queue formed, so we were able to take photos at a great spot without waiting at all. After leaving the Blue Cave, we also had fun feeding the fish.

I highly recommend the kayaking with the drone photography plan! You can get photos that look like they belong in a magazine. The sea where we experienced kayaking was incredibly beautiful! We visited several beaches on this trip, but I think this one was the prettiest.

The guide was very friendly, and my daughter quickly warmed up to him. It was fun to hear about the games children play in Okinawa. I'm currently practicing the easy bubble ring technique he taught us in the bath♪

It was the best experience. I would love to do it again next time!

I was impressed by how simply they explained how to get into the kayak and use the paddle! We practiced for about 20 minutes in a calm area, so I think it's reassuring for beginners. By the way, the staff seemed to speak English, and there were participants from overseas as well.

I tend to get seasick, but I was able to enjoy the stunning views without feeling sick until the end! The time spent leisurely watching the sea and sunset, which changes its expression depending on the time, was truly the best. Also, when I handed my phone and camera to the staff, they kindly took photos for us, which was a nice service.

Although we went as a group, there were people who relaxed and lounged while others took lots of pictures, and I appreciated that freedom. Thank you!

その日の海の様子を見てコースを決めるらしく、少し波が高かった私達は、入り江から入り、ゆるーく周遊コースでした！

カヤックへの乗り方、オールの使い方など簡潔に教えてくださったのが好印象でした！20分くらいは波のないところで練習をしたので、初めての方でも安心だと思います。ちなみに、スタッフのみなさん英語も話せるようで、海外の方も参加されていました。

船酔いをするほうですが、最後まで酔うことなく、絶景を眺めることができました！時間によって表情が変わる海や夕日をのんび～り眺める時間は、ほんとに最高。
あとスタッフの方に携帯やカメラを渡すと、心よく撮影してくださるので、そのｻｰﾋﾞｽも嬉しかったです。
グループで行く形ですが、のんびり寝そべって眺める人もいれば、たくさん写真を撮る人も様々で、その自由さも良かったです。

I thought we would end up waiting on the beach with one of the parents again this time, but thanks to the instructor who was very kind and attentive, my daughter was able to enter the water without fuss. Moreover, she was able to master the use of the snorkeling equipment and learned a lot about different types of fish and various ecological features, which sparked her interest in the ocean. The drone footage also captured some great videos and photos, creating wonderful memories for our family. We definitely want to do this again next time.

I made a reservation for the 11:30 departure. I wanted to take the "Ferry Kakeroma" to Kakeroma Island and consulted at the counter about the possibility of taking the earlier 10:30 departure. They kindly agreed to change my reservation as there was availability.

They mentioned that my reservation on Veltra could remain as is, which I appreciated for their flexibility. Initially, I was informed that the departure would be slightly delayed to 10:40. I wanted to board the 11:40 "Ferry Kakeroma," and considering the approximately 40-minute operation time of the "Seto," I was wondering if I could make it (especially with a small child and an elderly parent, taking into account bathroom breaks and slow movement).

However, it turned out that we could depart on time at 10:30, and they even took the trouble to contact me on my mobile phone to inform me! I was just about to head to the boarding point around 10:30, so it was a great help.

Thanks to that, I was able to enjoy taking photos in front of the large tuna statue and with the "Seto," and I had time to use the restroom before boarding the "Ferry Kakeroma" comfortably.

As for the "Seto," I enjoyed cruising to the viewing point, where I was able to see corals and beautiful tropical fish, which was very satisfying. A sea turtle swam gracefully right in front of me, and I was so excited! I'm glad I participated.

ちょうど30分頃に乗船ポイントに行こうとしていたので、とても助かりました。
おかげで、大きなまぐろオブジェの前や「せと」と一緒に写真撮影を楽しんで、トイレも済ませてゆっくり「フェリーかけろま」に乗船出来ました。
肝心の「せと」ですが、鑑賞ポイントまではクルージングを楽しみ、ポイントでは珊瑚や綺麗な熱帯魚をばっちり見れて大満足でした。
ウミガメが優雅に目の前を泳いでくれて大興奮！参加して良かったです。
敷地内には2時間無料の駐車場があり、海の駅では食事もできるレストランがありました。

What was unfortunate was that I was so focused on watching the waves that I didn't have the leisure to enjoy the sunset. I'm sure if the conditions were calmer, it would have been more enjoyable. After some hesitation, I decided to request the separate 2500 yen photography option, and I think that was the right choice. If you want photos in similar bad conditions, it's safer to arrange for that in advance.

惜しかったのは波を見るのに必死で、夕日を楽しむ余裕はとてもなかったことです。きっと穏やかなコンディションなら、楽しめるのかもしれません。SUP自体を楽しめたので、誰も文句は言っていませんでしたが。
同じ理由で、カメラを持っていっても撮る余裕はありませんでした。迷った末に、別途2500円の撮影オプションをお願いしていたのですが、これは正解だったと思います。同じような悪コンディションで写真がほしい場合は、お願いしておいた方が無難です。
悪コンディションにもかかわらず、全員がSUPをまたやりたいという感想です。いい思い出になりました。
