Almost everyone was trying stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) and snorkeling for the first time! The instructors were very thorough, so I was able to enjoy it to the fullest without any worries, even as a beginner! Thanks to the many wonderful photos taken with the GoPro, I'm reminiscing while looking back at the pictures 😊 It was such a fun experience!!!
At the end, they also recommended a lot of great restaurants for our last bus ride, so I’m looking forward to enjoying the rest of my trip in Ishigaki! ✈️

He spoke great English and shared a wealth of knowledge about the island, even offering us fantastic recommendations for local dining spots.
Taro was our guide for the stand-up paddleboarding tour, and he was equally wonderful. Although we were informed in advance that he didn't speak English, we managed to communicate quite well with my limited Japanese and he also made a genuine effort to engage with us in the little English he knew. Taro's warm demeanor and friendly personality shone through, and he kept us entertained with some light-hearted jokes along the way. If you have the chance to be guided by either of these amazing individuals, you can rest assured that you'll be in great hands!

I experienced canoeing and snorkeling in the Blue Cave for the first time! With thorough instructions, even beginners can enjoy it with peace of mind. During the experience, we received detailed explanations about the mangroves and an introduction to the Blue Cave, making it a unique way to enjoy the tour!
What stood out to me the most during this tour was the extensive introduction to Ishigaki while we were on the bus! It became a great reference for my future travels, and it turned out to be a very fulfilling trip to Ishigaki! Thank you 😊

I think sandals are better because you can wear them while still wet! After snorkeling, I felt cold, so I think it would be good to have something you can throw on while wet (I used a large towel).
濡れたまま靴が履けるようにサンダルの方がいいと思います！シュノーケリングが終わったあと寒く感じたため、濡れたまま羽織れるもの（私は大きなタオルを使いました）があった方がいいと思います！

I had planned to go to the Blue Cave, but due to the wind, we went to a different beach. The owner of the restaurant we went to afterward also said, "That beach is beautiful." ☺️✨ It was my first time snorkeling, and it had been a while since I swam, but I was able to enjoy it with peace of mind. It seems that the morning group even saw manta rays! Not only during snorkeling, but also during the car ride to and from, I was impressed by how they shared recommendations for shops and plans for the next day while having fun conversations. 🚗 Thank you, Diego!

The weather wasn't great, and the boat was rocking, which made me quite anxious, but thanks to the staff's quick guidance and instructions, I was able to dive safely. Amid the excitement and nervousness, I truly enjoyed swimming in the beautiful ocean after such a long time. I had a wonderful experience touching the clownfish playing among the sea anemones. Due to strong winds, we had to change our plans and enjoyed canoeing in the mangroves of Miyara River! It felt amazing, so much so that we didn't even mind the rain! Of course, seeing the mangroves and having fun canoeing was great, but what made it even better was our guide, who kept the atmosphere lively and enjoyable throughout the trip. During my 3-day trip, it was cloudy and rainy all three days, which made me really worried. I contacted the staff several times, and they were very kind and helpful.
I really wanted to see sea turtles! Although it wasn't guaranteed that I would see them, I decided to give it a shot... and within 10 seconds of entering the water, I spotted two of them!!! They were incredibly cute!!!
Even though the wind was blowing at 8 meters per second and the sea was rough with rain, the underwater conditions were calm, and the visibility was high, making it incredibly beautiful (^O^)
Winter snorkeling is great!

The weather was unfortunately bad, but it became a very nice memory. Macchan was very kind and attended to us. We were healed by nature. I recommend experiencing it! For lunch, the taco rice at Moriya is delicious.

The weather was quite stormy with rain and wind for February 💦. However, I had such a fun time that I forgot about it 🥹💕. I experienced mangrove canoeing, where they carefully taught me how to operate the canoe, explained the plants, and I felt a sense of healing from nature, detoxifying both my mind and body 🫶🏼. For snorkeling, they chose a location less affected by the rain and wind, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience even for beginners 🐠. Thanks to that, I had a very enjoyable and fulfilling snorkeling experience, and I felt so happy ✨🤿. The staff who taught us were all very friendly and warm, making me want to come back again 😌✨.

We took a ferry from Ishigaki Island to Uehara Port on Iriomote Island, where we were welcomed by our guide, Macchan. It seems that ferries to Uehara Port are often canceled during this season (if canceled, there is a shuttle bus from Ohara Port), so we were lucky.
In the morning, we enjoyed a water buffalo cart tour of Yufu Island, and in the afternoon, we had a mangrove canoe tour. The experience of moving through the sea on a water buffalo cart was extraordinary and became a wonderful memory. On Yufu Island, we also had the chance to interact with the water buffalo and take commemorative photos!

I took a half-day course on a day trip from Ishigaki Island. In mid-February, the water temperature was still not very high, and it was rainy with slightly high waves, but I rented a wetsuit and didn't feel too cold. I participated in a tour in early February! The instructor, Yamachan, was very friendly and knowledgeable about sea turtles. They taught us how to breathe while snorkeling and did warm-up exercises in the shallow water, ensuring the children's safety during the tour. We were able to encounter about five sea turtles and swim quite close to them. They also took many wonderful photos, so I highly recommend this experience!

Due to the weather, the SUP at Kabira Bay was canceled, but I was glad to see the clear waters while snorkeling. We were picked up from Ishigaki Port and it took about 30 minutes to reach our destination. During the ride, they shared recommendations for restaurants and information about Ishigaki Island, which made me very satisfied.

In early February, during a cold wave where a down jacket was necessary on Ishigaki Island, I made a reservation for SUP and snorkeling here.
The day before, I received a call confirming that due to rough seas, the SUP at Kabira Bay would be changed to mangrove SUP, and the landing at the Blue Cave and Phantom Island would not be possible, so it would be changed to snorkeling at Sakura Beach. They also mentioned that the price would be adjusted later.
Therefore, I requested mangrove SUP in the morning and snorkeling at Sakura Beach in the afternoon!
The instructors for each activity were different, but both were friendly and cheerful, and I had a great time. They also sent photos and videos via LINE, which made for wonderful memories!
Additionally, the lunch spot they recommended was very delicious! I'm grateful for the suggestion!
During the tour, the water temperature was cold, and the wind was strong, so unfortunately, the feeling of "it's cold..." overshadowed the excitement.
Sakura Beach had high visibility, but it seems we hardly encountered any sea turtles, and there were fewer fish. While this can't be helped, I think it would be a good idea to switch to other activities during rough weather! However, I appreciated that the instructors were kind and considerate of our well-being despite the cold.
I've heard that the recommended time to visit Ishigaki Island is in May, so I would like to try again when it gets warmer next time!

前日にお電話いただき、大シケのため川平湾でのsupはマングローブsupに変更、青の洞窟・幻の島上陸はNGとなり、さくらビーチでのシュノーケルに変更になるが問題ないかと確認いただきました。(その分、お値段も後日変更になるようです)
そのため、午前はマングローブsup・午後はさくらビーチでのシュノーケルをお願いしました！
それぞれインストラクターさんは異なりますが、どちらの方もフレンドリーで明るく、楽しい時間を過ごさせてもらいました。
LINEで写真・動画も送ってくださり、いい思い出になりました！
また、おすすめしてもらったランチのお店も、とっても美味しかったです！教えてくださって感謝です！
ツアー中は水温も冷たく、風も強かったので感動よりも「寒い…」が勝ってしまったのが残念です。。泣
さくらビーチは透明度は高かったですが、ウミガメはほぼ会えないようで、お魚も少なめでした。。
こればかりは仕方ないですが、シケの時はシュノーケル以外のアクティビティに変更するのもアリだと思います！
ただ、インストラクターさんも寒い中、優しく体調を気遣ってくださったので有難かったです。

Unfortunately, the blue cave snorkeling was canceled due to the weather, and we had to change to a snorkeling plan in Osaki, but both the morning mangrove canoeing & SUP and the afternoon snorkeling were fantastic and thoroughly enjoyable! The instructor was kind and easy to talk to, which was very helpful! I was healed by the nature of Okinawa, and it turned out to be a fulfilling day!

This time, I went on a 2-night, 3-day trip to Ishigaki Island for the first time. On the second day, I signed up for the "Free for the Second Person! Limited Number Monitor / [1 Day] Kayaking or Canoeing at Kabira Bay + Snorkeling at the Blue Cave." The activity provider was "Ishigaki Island ADVENTURE PiPi." The weather was "clear," and my expectations were high.
However, on the day of the activity, the sea conditions were not as planned due to strong north winds, and we had to switch to an alternative plan. The alternative plan was "SUP at Miyara River + Snorkeling at Osaki Bay." I was a bit confused, but I couldn't go against the weather.
On the morning of the activity, I was picked up at my accommodation, "Grandvrio Resort Ishigaki Island." The bright and friendly smile of the instructor eased my slight anxiety, and my expectations grew even more.
In the shuttle, there were detailed explanations and fun quizzes, creating a cheerful atmosphere throughout the ride. The very friendly instructor made the experience even more enjoyable.

アクティビティの催行会社様は、「石垣島 ADVENTURE PiPi」。
天気はというと「晴れ」。期待は膨らみます。
しかし、当日の海の様子は、北風が強く、申し込みプランの通りとはいかず、振替プランとなりました。
振替プランは、「宮良川マングローブSUP＋大崎湾シュノーケリング」。
少し戸惑いましたが、天候には逆らえません。
当日の朝、宿泊先の「グランヴィリオリゾート石垣島」までお迎えに来ていただきました。
インストラクターの方の明るく気さくな笑顔、少し不安な気持ちが一気に解消、ますます期待は膨らみます。
送迎車の中では、詳しいご説明と楽しいクイズ、車内は常に和気あいあいな雰囲気。
とてもフレンドリーなインストラクターの方に楽しさ倍増です。
あっという間に、宮良川に到着。初めてのSUPが始まります。
SUPボードは、結構重くて大きい。
インストラクターの方からの丁寧なご指導を受け、いざ宮良川へ。
川の流れに逆らい進みます。
見渡す限りマングローブが広がります。
一生懸命、バランスよく左側、右側とオールをかきました。
SUP上では、最初は膝立ち、慣れてきたところで立ち上がることができました。

I was very worried about the rain since yesterday, but contrary to my worries, the sun came out and it was clear! I participated with my first-grade child. The instructor was very friendly, cheerful, and kind, and my child quickly warmed up to them.
My child, who has four years of swimming experience, was worried because it was their first time snorkeling and going to a place in the ocean where they couldn't touch the bottom. However, the instructor kept a close eye on them, and at times, they held my child to help them breathe through their nose and take breaks. With the presence of a float, my child felt secure.
