I had a great time that weekend morning. Not knowing what to expect I found the dive shop was casual and friendly and we soon went out to the dock for the boat ride. The boat was packed with divers, while I was going to snorkel with a few others. They have many guides, so there was no problem.

The blue cave is very nice. When you get close to it, the boat stops, you plop in the water and swim towards the cave following the floating ring towed by the guide. The cave and environs are pretty busy with divers, and it's a good thing for snorkelers that they all go underwater! Good thing for them too that the volume of the ocean can easily handle their larger numbers compared to the snorkelers on the surface. Saw many coral, and fish, and feeding the fish is fun. Those little things are pretty deft - they will eat their bread pieces from your hand but you can't catch them! The cave is nice and blue in spots, as promised, and the water is very clear. Even though it rained towards the end and on the way back, it doesn't change the cave experience. My guide was very nice and she took 79 pictures with her underwater camera which I received on a CD / DVD. They know all the right spots and poses to shoot for!

My advice is to park in the back in the middle spots (4, 5, 6). Wear your own sandals to the boat - you'll be more comfortable. Arrive in your swimsuit and bring a change of clothes and a towel. That's it, and you'll have a lot of fun!

A total waste of money. You aren’t allowed to swim without either wetsuit or life jacket. I got so overheated and sick that I had to sleep all afternoon when I got back. The tour guides act like they don’t even want to be there. They should make exceptions for people who are good swimmers. What was the point of having us sign liability waivers if they make us suffer in wetsuits?

My husband, my fourth-grade niece, and I had a private tour with a super cool guide. We were lucky in that regard, but he also called my niece by name throughout the tour and took dozens of photos, showing not only a friendly demeanor but also an incredibly high level of hospitality. During snorkeling, he accurately answered our little questions, allowing the adults to enjoy it as well. My niece seemed to really like Shoma, the guide. We were informed the day before our scheduled visit that we couldn't go to the Blue Cave due to an approaching typhoon. Although we were disappointed since we had come all this way, we switched to snorkeling and participated instead.

I participated in the half-day plan. In the morning, they picked me up at the hotel on time and took me to the port. It was farther from the island terminal than I expected, so I was glad I didn't have to go there on my own.

With 14 passengers and 3 crew members, we set off on a boat with a sunshade. They lent us seasickness bands at the start, and thanks to that, even though it was a day with high waves, no one got seasick until the end.

That day, the tide was higher than ever, and the phantom island was only partially visible. Since it was crowded with other tour guests, we decided to snorkel first and then go to the phantom island.

During the transfer, there was a snorkeling lesson, and they provided very detailed instructions.

Finally, we arrived at Ishigaki Coral Lagoon. There were colorful fish and blue and yellow corals! I even saw a clownfish! It was a bit disappointing that the visibility wasn't as high as I had hoped, but I still had a great time.

It was a bit chilly during the transfer after getting in the water, so it would be good to have a cover-up that can get wet.

And finally, we reached the phantom island.

After swimming a bit from the boat, we landed on the island. It was truly a beach-only island, and I was moved! Since the tide had receded more than in the morning and the number of tour guests had decreased, I was glad that RISE adjusted the plan according to the situation. They provided all the necessary snorkeling gear, tea, and seasickness bands, so all you need to do is wear your swimsuit and bring a towel while waiting at the hotel, which is convenient. The service was very polite, so I highly recommend it. Since the tide was too high this time, I would like to participate again during low tide.

そしてついに幻の島へ。

30分間思う存分に写真を撮り、砂浜に寝転がり、幻の島を堪能しました。
人魚のコスプレは勇気が出なくてしませんでしたが、見ていたら可愛かったです。

午前ツアーは12時に終了し、その後ホテルまで送ってくれました。

半日プランでも充分に楽しめます！
シュノーケルに必要な装備全てとお茶、酔い止めバンドも用意してくれ、水着を着てタオルを持ってホテルで待っていればいいので楽です。対応もとても丁寧なのでおススメです。
今回は潮が高すぎたので、引き潮の時にまた参加してみたいです。

I participated in a trip to Ishigaki Island in late June. There were just under 10 participants, and 2 staff members provided us with thorough explanations about snorkeling. My wife, who is not fond of the ocean, forgot her worries because the sea was so beautiful and there were plenty of fish, so she had a great time. I think it's also recommended for beginners. There was a group with children, and in addition to life jackets, they were also provided with children's floaties. The gaps in the coral felt like pathways in the sea, making swimming a lot of fun. Finally, I took a natural shower under the waterfall and had a great time, creating wonderful memories.

On the Sunday in the middle of the three-day weekend, I took a half-day tour. The weather was great, and I enjoyed the Phantom Island and snorkeling. The young girls also had fun taking pictures in mermaid costumes available for free rental on Phantom Island.

Since many tour companies gather in one place, it can get crowded, but that's to be expected. On the day of the tour, the port was just a short drive from the meeting point, where we parked and boarded the boat. There were about 20 participants and 3 staff members. They provided a brief snorkeling lecture and accompanied us during the actual snorkeling. We were able to see many fish in the beautiful sea. However, I would have appreciated a bit more time for snorkeling.

One downside was the lack of showers. I had to rinse off using a hose at the port. I recommend staying at a hotel for consecutive nights when using the tour, so you can use the hotel shower during the day.

3連休の真ん中だった日曜日に半日ツアーを利用しました。
天候にも恵まれ、幻の島とシュノーケリングを楽しめました。若い女の子達は幻の島で無料レンタルの人魚コスプレでの撮影も楽しんでいました。
各ツアー会社がわんさか集まるので混雑していますが、仕方ないですね。
当日は待ち合わせ場所から車でほんの少し移動した場所に港があり、そこの駐車場に車を停めて乗船。
参加者約20名に対し、スタッフ3名。シュノーケリングの簡単な講義をしてくれ、実際のシュノーケリングにも帯同してくれました。美しい海で魚をたくさん見ることができました。ただ、もう少しシュノーケリングの時間があると嬉しいところです。
残念だったのはシャワーが無かったこと。仕方なく、港にある水道のホースで体を流しました。ツアー利用の際にはホテルを連泊し、昼間でもホテルのシャワーを使える用意をしておくことをオススメします。
