It takes about 30 minutes by trolley to get to Torokko Kameoka Station. The bus ride to the boarding area is about 15 minutes. It seemed a bit tight on time, but they guide you in that order after completing the check-in. There seem to be quite a number of boats available. The boarding time varies depending on the river's water level; when the water level is high, it seems you can reach Arashiyama in just one hour. We enjoyed a 1.5-hour boat trip. You can fully enjoy both the calm areas of the river and the narrow, varied elevation spots. It could be described as a natural Splash Mountain. Also, the experience of getting splashed with water is one of the highlights of the Hozu River boat ride. We participated as a group of five, and everyone was satisfied. Additionally, the scenery changes with the seasons, so I think you can enjoy the charm of the Hozu River at different times of the year.

トロッコでトロッコ亀岡駅までは30分程度。バスで乗船場までは15分。ちょっと時間的にタイトなように思いましたが、受付を終了してその順番で案内してくれます。船は相当数があるようです。乗船時間は川の水量で変わるようで水量の多いときは1時間で嵐山に着いてしまうようです。我々は1時間30分の船旅を満喫しました。流れのゆったりとした場所と細く高低差のある所など十分に楽しめます。自然のスプラッシュマウンテンといったところでしょうか。また、水は浴びてなんぼのものといった感じで、水を浴びるのも保津川下りの醍醐味です。今回五人で参加しましたが、全員満足してくれました。また、季節によって周りの景色も様変わりしますので、その時々の保津川の魅力を満喫できると思います。

保津川下りは3回目ですが、今回が一番楽しかったです。季節の景色や水量によって船のスピードも違いますが、船頭さんの喋りも保津川下りの醍醐味です。今回の船頭さんは盛り上げも上手でとても楽しかったです。

This was my second time on the Hozu River boat ride, and it had been 30 years since my last visit. Due to the rain the day before, the water level was a bit high, and we got splashed along the way, but it felt like we were on an attraction, it was so much fun. Above all, the boatman's commentary was entertaining, and I was laughing the whole time, so I want to go again in a different season.

保津川下りは２回目30年ぶりでした。
前日からの雨でやや水量多めで途中水に濡れることもありましたが、まるでアトラクションに乗っているような楽しさでした。
何より船頭さんのトークが面白くてずっと笑い通しだったので季節を変えてまた行きたいと思います。

Since I had a reservation, I didn't have to wait to board, and I was able to sit in the very front, which made the experience even more thrilling. I was able to talk with the boatmen as well, and it was a lot of fun.

予約してたので、乗るまでに待つこともなく、また、一番前に乗せてもらえて、迫力がさらに増しました。船頭さん達とも話せたし、とても楽しかったです。

I was able to enjoy nature while moving through areas with swift currents and calm spots. It's easy for small children to participate, and I recommend it for those who want to take their time enjoying the scenery.

流れが急な場所、凪の場所を進みながら自然を楽しめました。小さい子供でも参加しやすく、ゆっくり風景を楽しみたい人におすすめです。

To be honest, I didn't have high expectations for the atmosphere while waiting to board the ship. The reception was rather rough, and they seemed more focused on selling alcohol. However, once we got on the ship, there was live music, we went out further into the sea than I expected, and everyone sang together, creating a sense of unity. It turned out to be a lot of fun. My family of four participated, and everyone said they were glad they joined.

乗り場について、船に乗るまでの待ち時間の雰囲気では正直いうとあまり期待していませんでした。受付も大雑把出し、お酒の販売ばかり気にしてるし。でも船に乗ってみたら、生演奏はしてくれるし、思いのほか海の方まで出てくれるし、みんなで歌って一体感は生まれるし、なんだかとても楽しくなってきました。家族4人で参加したのですが、みんな乗れて良かったと言ってくれました。

After enjoying the view of the Hozu River Gorge from the trolley train, we went on a boat ride down the Hozu River for about 2 hours, covering approximately 16 km from Kameoka to Arashiyama. Surrounded by greenery in June, the skillful teamwork of the three boatmen was a sight to behold. Their humorous storytelling provided a wealth of topics, including history, scenic points, unique rock formations, and tales of flora and fauna, making for a delightful experience.

トロッコ列車で保津川峡谷を眺めた後、亀岡から嵐山まで、約16kmの約2時間保津川下りに行きました。6月の緑の中、3人の船頭が息を合わせる職人技は必見で、ユーモア溢れる語りで歴史や絶景ポイントや奇岩や花鳥動物たちの話など話題も豊富で楽しい時間を過ごせました。

It was hot, and the water level was low, which took some time, but I was impressed by the boatman's earnest paddling and his efforts in engaging conversation!

暑くて水量が少なく時間もかかりましたが、船頭さんの一所懸命に漕がれてる姿とトークも頑張ってられるところが感激しました！

It was a very hot day, but I had a great time by the water. Unfortunately, due to the continued sunny weather, the water level was a bit low, which made it feel less wild, but the lush green summer valley was beautiful. I would love to see the autumn foliage and spring cherry blossoms next time. If you have the time, I definitely recommend experiencing it. The grilled squid sold by the boat at the end was also fantastic. Thank you to the boatmen for entertaining us for about two hours.

とても暑い日でしたが水辺で過ごせて楽しかったです。
晴天続きのため水量が少なめでワイルドさが少し足りないのが残念でしたが緑が濃い夏の渓谷がとてもきれいで次回は秋の紅葉、春の桜も見てみたいと思います。
時間があれば是非経験される事をおすすめします。
終盤に船が売りに来るイカ焼きも最高でした。
船頭さんたちも約2時間楽しませてくれてありがとうございました。

I thoroughly enjoyed the nearly two-hour river descent. It may depend on the participants' morale, but the trip I joined departed on time and arrived at Arashiyama almost as scheduled. The three boatmen were all friendly and entertaining, providing enjoyable commentary and explanations. The river conditions were calm, so some participants had the opportunity to paddle in the gentle areas.

However, even though we departed at 9 AM, it was a clear day with temperatures in Kyoto exceeding 38°C, so it was quite hot. I eagerly boarded as passenger number one (probably in order of check-in) and took a seat at the very front, but the canopy in the front row only partially blocked the sun (the sun is lower in the morning), so direct sunlight was intense. I also felt the wind more in the front, so in terms of heat, it was about the same. I think those in the second row and beyond were fine regarding sunburn. Since this is a natural activity, any water exposure is at your own discretion, and you might get splashed depending on the situation.

Food and drinks are allowed on board, so it might be a good idea to bring bottled tea or snacks. The seats do not have backrests, and you will be swaying in the rapids for two hours, so it may not be suitable for those with weak backs. Additionally, masks are required on board.

２時間近い川下り、堪能しました。参加者のモラルにもよるかもしれませんが、私の参加した回は定刻出発、嵐山着もほぼ予定通り。船頭さん３人は皆さんトークも説明も楽しくて感じのいい方ばかりでした。川の状態が穏やかだったので、何人かは流れの緩やかな場所で漕ぎ手の経験をさせてもらっていました。
ただまあ9時発とはいえ京都市内が最高気温38℃越えを記録した快晴下ですので、暑いことは暑かったです。私は張り切って乗客番号１番で乗り込んだ（多分受付順）ので一番前の一番端に陣取りましたが、先頭列は日よけの屋根が中途半端にしか遮ってくれず（朝だと太陽の位置も低い）直射日光はキツかったですね。一番風も受けますし暑さでいえばトントンでしょうか。２列目以降の方は日焼けは大丈夫かと思います。自然のアクティビティですので、水濡れなどは自己判断で。状況によっては被ります。
船内は飲食・持ち込み自由なのでペットボトルのお茶やお菓子など持参するといいかも。
背もたれのない椅子で急流に揺られつつ２時間下りますので、腰が弱い方には向かないと思います。
なお、船内はマスク着用です。

I had made a reservation in advance, so I was able to board right away. It was a very hot day, but the boat had a roof, and the captain's narration was very enjoyable, making the two hours fly by. The boat was also equipped with a splash guard, so I didn't get wet at all. I definitely want to go again during the cherry blossom season in spring and the autumn foliage season.

事前に予約していたのですぐに乗船できました。
とっても暑い日でしたが船には屋根もあって船頭さんの語りもとても楽しく２時間あっという間でした。船に波除用のシートも完備されていて濡れることもなかっです。
次は春の桜、秋の紅葉の時期に是非行きたいと思います。

This year, the rainy season ended early, and due to the lower water levels than usual, we had about two hours of river rafting. Although it was the hot summer season, thanks to the shade, it was cooler than I expected, and the breeze during the rafting was very pleasant, making it comfortable. The boatmen entertained us with lively talks about plants, animals, and nature at various spots during the two hours. It was a special time where I could recharge my energy in a sense of liberation away from daily life! In spring, you can see cherry blossoms, and in autumn, the foliage, and without shade, you can enjoy an even more open feeling while rafting. I would like to try it in spring or autumn next time!

今年は梅雨明けが早く、例年よりも川の水量が少なかったこともあり、約2時間の川下りでした。夏の暑い時期でしたが、日除けがあったおかげで思ってたよりも涼しく、川下り中は風がとても気持ちよかったので快適でした。船頭さんたちは約2時間の中で、それぞれのスポットで植物や動物、自然の紹介等、軽快なトークを交えて楽しませてくれました。日常から離れた開放感の中で、エネルギーをチャージできるような特別な時間でした！
春は桜、秋は紅葉を見られるし、日除けがないためより開放感のある川下りを楽しめるそうです。次は春や秋に楽しんでみたいです！

The water! What a clear green! Blue!! I was overwhelmed by its beauty. Unfortunately, I couldn't see the scenery due to the rain, but I want to come back and try again in a different season!

The boatman's talk skills were outstanding, and it was a fun time that went by in a flash. I was sad when my recently purchased Hozu River boat ride towel fell into the river and sank during the rapids… ( ; ; ) But the boatman let me experience steering the boat, so it was a great experience! I thought it was harder than it looked. It seemed easy, but maneuvering a bus-sized boat with a pole while avoiding rocks in a rocky river is quite a challenge. It was hot this time, so I thought I would like to ride again during the autumn foliage season!

途中、急流で直前に購入した保津川下りのタオルが川に落ちて沈んでしまったのが悲しかったですが…（ ; ; ）泣
でも、船頭さんが舵取り体験をさせてくれたのでいい経験が出来ました♪
見た目以上にハードだと思いました。簡単そうに見えましたが、岩だらけの川で岩を避けながらバス並みの船を棒？で操縦するのは至難の業です。
今回は暑かったので今度は紅葉の時期に乗りたいなと思いました!!

However, it is mandatory to present a voucher, and if you haven't printed it, you'll need to pay 50 yen to have it printed. At that time, the guide mentioned that if you use another ticket site accessible from the official website, printing is not necessary, which was a bit disappointing.

6月の梅雨に入ったけれどまだ然程雨の降っていない時期に体験しました。
通常より川の水が少ない時期のようで、川底に船があたるのような状況でした。予約時間から1時間45分で解散でした。
急流のあたりでは水に濡れることもあります。
暑い日でしたが、川の上は少し涼しく、さまざまな歴史の話などもあり楽しめました。
ただバウチャーの提出が必須で、印刷していないと50円で印刷してもらう必要があります。その際に、案内の方から公式サイトからいけるもう一つのチケットサイトであれば印刷不要であると情報があり、少し残念な気持ちになりました。

The weather was nice, and I was impressed by the beautiful colors of both the river and the lake. I was with my dog and a small child, but we received kind guidance, which allowed us to experience everything with peace of mind. I thought I had already experienced the beauty of Lake Shikotsu, but the beauty seen from the surface of the lake was completely different. I could clearly see the areas where it suddenly became deep, where trees were submerged, and where sand patterns were formed, all thanks to the wonderful transparency. The mountains surrounding the lake were also beautiful, and I wanted to keep looking at them forever. Thank you very much for providing such a wonderful experience.

お天気もよく、川も湖も美しい色で感激しました。
わんこと小さな子供連れでしたが、親切にご指導いただき、安心して体験することができました。
支笏湖の美しさは体験済みと思っていましたが、湖面で見る美しさはまた全然違いました。
急に深くなっているところや、木が沈んでいるところ、砂の紋様ができているところなど、透明度が素晴らしくはっきりと見ることができました。
湖から見る四方の山々も美しく、いつまでも見ていたい気持ちでした。
素晴らしい体験をさせてくださって、本当にありがとうございました。

He was quite skilled in conversation, and I really enjoyed it.

The whitewater rafting was thrilling and better than the rafting in Wakayama.

I was surprised to see so many soft-shelled turtles along the river!

Two hours flew by in no time. The breathtaking views of the Hozu River were amazing, and the guides were so much fun; I really enjoyed it. The level of thrill varies depending on the water level, but I believe the guides will keep the atmosphere lively no matter what. Masks are essential, but since eating and drinking are allowed, I was able to hydrate without hesitation. As we approached Arashiyama, a boat loaded with delicious treats came by, and I couldn't help but indulge in some dango. This time, it was all about the fresh greenery, so next time, I want to go see the autumn leaves.

あっという間の二時間。保津川の絶景はもちろん、船頭さんたちのガイドも楽しく、本当に楽しかった。水嵩次第で、スリルの程度は変わりますが、どんな時でも、船頭さんさんたちが盛り上げてくださると思います。マスクは必須だと思いますが、飲食自由なので、水分補給は遠慮なくできました。嵐山に近づいた頃に美味しいものを積んだ船が寄ってきて、ついうっかり、お団子を食べてしまいました。今回、新緑だったので、今度は、紅葉を見に行きたいです。

I went in mid-May. The fresh greenery and the refreshing breeze from the river were pleasant. I also wanted to see the changes of each season. I will go again. They were helpful in allowing me to change to an earlier river cruise, one hour before my reservation at the ticket counter!

5月中旬に乗りました。新緑と爽やかな川面の風で心地良かったです。四季それぞれの変化も見たくなりました。また行きますね。窓口で予約より1時間早い川下りに変更も直前に受け付けてくださり、助かりました！

The rain from the previous day had cleared, and the weather on the day was cloudy with occasional sunshine. It was neither too hot nor too cold, making for a comfortable experience on the Hozu River boat ride. Since we were seated in the front row, we could clearly hear the fun stories from the boatman, which added to the enjoyment. The only downside was the murkiness of the water due to the rain the day before. I would love to visit during the cherry blossom season and the autumn foliage season as well.

暑くもなく寒くもなく快適な保津川下りを体験できました。
最前列席だったので船頭さんの楽しい話もしっかり聞けて楽しさ増々でした。
前日が雨だったので水の濁りが唯一の残念項目。
桜の季節、紅葉の季節にも来てみたいと思いました。

Thank you for boarding with a good heart despite the 10-minute delay in arrival. The water flow was calmer than I expected, so I was a bit disappointed since I brought a large towel hoping to get splashed more. The boatman was sweating a lot while steering the boat, and his witty storytelling made me laugh. I regret not removing the roof cover when the boatman suggested it. 水流が思っていたよりも穏やかでもっと水をかぶることを期待して大きなタオルを持って行ってたので少し残念でした。
大汗をかいて船頭さんが操船されていて軽妙な語り口に笑わせてもらいました。
船頭さんから提案があった時に屋根のシートを外しておけばよかったと後悔してます。
次回は台風明けかモミジが色ずく秋にまた乗船したいです。

先日29日は大変楽しい時間を有難う御座いました。
風が強いとのお電話を頂いた時は中止かと思い一瞬心が折れましたが、お伺いしてOKとの事一気にテンションが上がりました。
千歳川の透明度に感激し、相澤さんの愉快なトークに導かれるようにカヌーに乗り込みあっと言う間の90分でした。
次回の機会には是非、又強風で断念した支笏湖を案内して頂くのを楽しみにしております！

I took the trolley from Saga Station to Kameoka Station, and then traveled by bus from Kameoka. There were taxis waiting at Kameoka Station, but they are reservation-only, so if you wish to travel by taxi, you need to make a reservation in advance at Saga Trolley Station.

During the river descent, three boatmen took turns talking to us, and the hour and a half flew by.

One point I would like to see improved is the requirement to print the voucher. Other tour companies allow for voucher-less check-in, where you can simply provide your name at the reception. It feels like a hassle to have to print the voucher and then also write the representative's name and address on paper at the site, making the process feel redundant.

トロッコに乗って嵯峨駅から亀岡駅へ、亀岡からはバスにて移動しました。
亀岡駅にはタクシーも待機していましたが、予約制なのでタクシー移動を希望の方はトロッコ嵯峨駅にて事前予約が必要です。

川下り中は3人の船士さんが交代制でお話くださり、1時間半強があっという間でした。


1点、改善いただきたいのはバウチャーを必ず印刷していかなければいけないというところ。
他の催行会社はバウチャーレスなので、名前を受付でお伝えするだけでチェックインができるようにしてほしいです。バウチャー印刷の上、現地でも紙に代表名、住所等書かなければいけないので手続きが二度手間のように感じます。

On the last day of Golden Week, I thought it would be crowded, but it was actually very empty, and I was able to ride as planned without any wait time. I've ridden it many times, but the beauty of the scenery changes with each season, and I really enjoyed it.

GW 最終日で、混雑してるかと思いきや、すごくすいていて、待ち時間なく予定通りに乗れました。何回も乗った事がありますが、やはり季節毎の景色の素晴らしさがあって、とても楽しめました。

The story from the boatman was enjoyable, and the 1 hour and 40-minute river cruise was a very pleasant early summer experience. Since we had a reservation, we were able to enjoy the sightseeing smoothly as planned.

船頭さんのお話も楽しく、１時間４０分の川下りはとても楽しい初夏のひとときでした。予約していたので、スムーズに予定通りの観光が楽しめました。

It was a bit disappointing that the sky was cloudy, but I was able to see the cherry blossoms, and the familiar buildings looked different from the boat, which was refreshing. Next time, I want to join at night and enjoy the night view.

くもり空だったのが少し残念でしたけど、さくらも見られたし、見慣れた建物も船上からみると違ってみえて新鮮でした。

I have been to Fukuoka many times, but I thought there weren't many tourist spots, so I searched for various activities and found the river cruise. Since my main enjoyment in Fukuoka is definitely eating, I had already planned my schedule for after dinner, and since I could book for any departure on the reserved day without a specific time, I participated in the cruise that departed at 4 PM. I think the boat can accommodate about 20 people, and it was almost full. We went up to Canal City, turned around, and headed out to sea. During this time, a musician provided commentary while playing and singing, but it wasn't constant singing or talking, which was a nice balance. Since the cruise is affected by the weather, this time the conditions were perfect, and it hardly swayed, so I think families with small children can enjoy it as well. Next time, I definitely want to take the cruise at a time when I can see the night view.

福岡には何度も行っているのですが、あまり観光する場所が無いな～と思い色々検索していたら、リバークルーズがでてきました。福岡での楽しみはやっぱり食べる事だったので、夕食以降の予定はすでに組んでおりハッキリした時間が決められなくても予約した日の何便でも構わないと言う事で、ちょうど空いた時間（16時出航）に参加しました。乗船できる人数は20名程度かと思いますが、ほぼ満席でした。キャナルシティの前まで行きUターンして海へ出て、その間ミュージシャンの方が弾き語りをしながら観光案内をしてくれるのですが、ずっと歌ったり喋ったりしているのではなく丁度いい加減でのパフォーマンスなのでそこが良い点でした。船の場合は天候に左右されますが今回は絶好のクルーズ日和でほとんど揺れなかったので、小さいお子さん連れでも楽しめると思います。次回はぜひ夜景が観られる時間に乗船したいと思います。

I participated to enjoy the night view of Nakasu, and the cruise lasted longer than I expected, allowing me to enjoy the night scenery and the sea breeze. Due to the tides, there are times when the cruise does not operate, so since I participated on a different day than originally planned, making a reservation in advance might carry some risk. Also, if there are many participants, you may end up sitting in the back of the boat, where you can hear and smell the sound of the generator, so I think it's better for those who are sensitive to arrive early at the meeting place.

中洲の夜景を楽しむために参加、思っていたよりクルーズ時間が長く、夜景や潮風を楽しめました。
潮の満ち干きの関係で運行しないことがあり、予定していた日とは別の日に参加したので、事前に予約するのはちょっとリスクはあるかも知れません。
また、参加者が多いと船の後部の座席に座ることとなり、自家発電機？の音と臭いがするので、気になる人は早めに集合場所に参加した方が良いかと思います。

The weather was favorable, making for a pleasant river ride. The boatmen were lively in their chatter, and it seems the water level was just right, lasting about an hour and a half. Towards the end, my shoes got wet, but perhaps because of the nice weather, they dried quickly, which was also a good experience. It's best to board in clothes that you don't mind getting wet, no matter where you sit. Lastly, the boat's food stall appeared, and it was a lot of fun.

Next, I want to go during the autumn foliage season.

天候にも恵まれて、気持ちの良い川下りでした。
船頭さんたちのしゃべりも軽快で、水量の加減のようですが、１時間半くらいでした。
最後の方で靴まで濡れてしまいましたが、季節が良かったのかすぐに乾いて、それも良い体験でした。
どの席に座っても濡れても良い格好で乗船するべきですね。最後に、船の屋台が登場してとても楽しかったです。

次は紅葉の季節に行きたいです。
