The weather on the day was cloudy, so it was disappointing not to see the expected view of Mount Fuji, but the scenery from the Tokyo Skytree was breathtaking, and the changes in the sky unique to cloudy weather were also a highlight, so I accepted that. I was healed by the humorous appearance of the garden eels at the Sumida Aquarium.

The food to give to the bears included 100 yen cookies and 200 yen apples. It was interesting to see that the poses they made to beg for food varied by individual.
However, if you imagine wild bears, you might feel a bit disappointed. Still, I was overwhelmed by the massive size of the bears seen up close from the human enclosure.
The park isn't very large, so you can get around in about 30 minutes if you're quick. The entrance fee isn't high, so I thought it was a facility you could easily stop by.

It was much more fun than I imagined. Since I went on a rainy day, the amusement park was closed, but the penguin parade and shows went ahead as scheduled.
The interior was beautifully decorated for Halloween, which was very exciting. There were plenty of photo spots. My 2-year-old and 4-year-old children also enjoyed themselves. The silhouette Halloween decorations in the corridor had various patterns and were lovely.
The penguin parade was set to take place at "Nix Square," so I was waiting for the start time while taking shelter from the rain near the ticket booth. However, even when the time came, no one gathered, and there was no sign of it starting... I searched for staff but couldn't find anyone, so I lined up at the ticket window and asked. I was told that it would be coming from the back of the square, so it would have been better if that had been clearer.
Also, since the dolphin show always splashes water into the audience, I think it would be good to have an announcement or a sign about that in advance. When I went, it was raining, and I was wearing a raincoat, so it was fine, but I think it would have been disastrous if my iPhone or bag got wet without me knowing.

雨の日に行ったので遊園地はやってませんでしたが、ペンギンパレードやショーは予定通り行われました。
館内は凝ったハロウィン装飾があちこちに施され、とてもわくわくしました。写真映えスポットたくさんです。2歳と4歳の子供達も楽しんでいました。
回廊廊下にあるシルエットのハロウィン装飾も色々なパターンがあって素敵でした。
ペンギンパレードの場所が「ニクス広場」ということで、チケット売り場のあたりで雨宿りしながら開始時間を待っていたのですが、時間になっても人も集まらず始まる気配もない・・・スタッフの方を探し回るもどこにも見当たらず、チケット窓口に並んで窓口の方に聞きました。広場の奥の方から歩いてくるということだったので、もっとわかりやすければ良かったです。
また、イルカのショーは必ず客席に水が飛んでくるので、事前にアナウンスするか貼り紙などあった方が良いと思います。
私が行ったときは雨降りでカッパを着ていたから良かったですが、知らずにiphoneとかカバンが濡れたら悲惨だったと思います。

Since I came to Kyushu for work from Chiba for the first time, I decided to explore Kagoshima. I was scared to drive in an unfamiliar area and didn't have much time before my flight, so I joined this tour.
I had never been interested in historical figures or myths before, but after hearing various stories from the driver, I started wanting to read books and watch historical dramas. Usually, when I travel with friends or family, we just end up looking at buildings, but participating in this tour made me want to study the history of the area in advance and share it with others.

I participated in this trip with my middle school son. It was a journey that also served as a culmination of our research on Asuka culture and Tenpyo culture. We were able to visit various famous sites that are usually hard to access on our own, and the guide's explanations were easy to understand, making it a wonderful trip. My daughter loves Sumikko Gurashi, so we went there. The ticket booth at Tokyo Skytree wasn't crowded, but there was a line at the Sumida Aquarium's ticket booth, so we were lucky to have our tickets in advance and were able to enter smoothly without waiting. The Sumida Aquarium is small but interesting. The jellyfish exhibit was particularly amazing. The penguin family tree made me chuckle. I hope everyone gets to see it.

I knew it would be hot, but I wanted to make the most of my precious time off and walk the Kumano Kodo, so I researched and found this plan. Since it was a solo trip, I hesitated at the rather luxurious price, but in the end, it became a wonderful memory! There were so many great things that I can't list them all here, but I'll mention a few that come to mind.
- They asked in advance about the places I wanted to visit → If you have specific preferences, feel free to communicate them, and they will build the route based on that. My wishes were Nakahara and Kumano Hongu Taisha, and the driver took me to many famous spots within the time available. I also requested to stop by a drugstore for some extra supplies, and they kindly accommodated that on the way back.
- Efficient routing → We were able to visit two places: Kumano Hongu Taisha (plus Osaibara) and Hayatama Taisha. They parked very close to the main hall, making it easy to reach.
- The Nakahara walk plus additional stops → They guided me to places like the giant ginkgo tree, Nonaka no Shimizu, and the tea house at the pass, which I wouldn't have been able to reach on my own. I visited Wakayama using public transportation this time, but even if I had rented a car, the roads are so narrow that I wouldn't have been able to drive. I think the flexibility of taxi tourism allows for these kinds of stops.
- The guides at other famous spots were also interesting → I was taken to Hashikui-iwa, Sandanbeki, Senjojiki, and Engetsu Island. Especially at Sandanbeki, they shared stories that definitely wouldn't be found in guidebooks, which was enjoyable.
Since it was a full day of sightseeing, I was quite tired, of course! The itinerary was packed, so that's to be expected. Depending on your physical condition at the time, you can adjust the number of stops, and above all, being able to cover so much in this extreme heat was thanks to the taxi. I believe the distance traveled alone was worth more than the price. The only disappointing thing was that the lunch spots I hoped for were all closed! It must have been an unexpected closure rather than a regular day off. However, the bento I grabbed at the roadside station was delicious. 暑いことは分かっていたけれど、せっかく取れた休みを有意義に過ごしたいのと熊野古道を歩きたいのとがあって、何か良い手段はないかと調べていてこちらのプランに行き着きました。一人旅ですので随分と贅沢な値段だな…と悩みましたが、結果とても良い思い出になりました！ここに書き切れないくらい色々と良いところがありましたが、思いつく限り挙げてみます。
・事前に行きたい場所を聞いてくれた→こだわりがある方は遠慮なく伝えておくと、それをもとにルートを組み立ててくれる感じです。私の希望は中辺路と熊野本宮大社だったので、あとは運転手さんが有名どころを時間いっぱい、たくさん回ってくれました。また、買い足しのためにドラッグストアに寄りたいとリクエストしたら帰り道の途中に寄ってくれるなど、臨機応変に対応してくれて有り難かったです。
・効率良く回れる→熊野本宮大社（＋大斎原）と速玉大社の2箇所に行くことができました。拝殿に一番近い所に駐車してくれるので、拝殿までさっくりとたどり着けます。
・中辺路ウォーク＋αであちこち立ち寄れた→大銀杏や野中の清水、峠の茶屋など自力では行けない所にも案内してくれました。今回は公共交通機関で和歌山を訪れましたが、仮にレンタカーだったとしても自分では運転できそうにないくらい道が細いです。タクシー観光ならではの小回りがきくところだと思います。
・その他有名どころのガイドも面白かった→橋杭岩、三段壁、千畳敷、円月島にも連れて行ってもらいました。特に三段壁ではガイドブックに絶対載ってないような話をしてくれて、楽しめました。
一日かけての観光ですので、さすがに疲れます笑。中身が相当詰まってますんで当然ですね笑。その時の体調などによって数は調整したら良いですし、何よりこの酷暑の中でこれだけ回れたのもタクシーだからです。走行距離だけでいってもお値段以上に走っているのではないかと思います。ひとつだけ残念だったのは、希望していた昼食場所がことごとくお休みだったこと！定休日じゃなく臨時休業だったのでしょうがないですね。でも急遽立ち寄った道の駅のめはり寿司も美味しかったです。グループ旅行で利用されるならかなりお得な値段だと思いますし、旅程に余裕がないけれど目一杯観光したい方にもオススメします。ありがとうございました。

おまけに台風前の茹だるような暑さの中、汗ひとつ流さず、さっさ、さっさと歩く姿は尊敬に値しました。私たちは皆バテバテ、汗ダラダラで見苦しい限りでした。
送迎に関しても希望先での対応可。効率よく見学したい所を回って下さいました。車内も几帳面な性格が現れており、空気清浄機、アクリル板設置、清掃も完璧でした。

It is quite difficult to visit five temples in one day using only public transportation, but we were able to efficiently visit them on an air-conditioned bus. I visited Ishibutai for the first time in 50 years. I was surprised that I could go inside now. In the past, there were just stones in the middle of a field. This time, I explored places related to Prince Shotoku by myself. I was very satisfied to be able to visit Asukadera and Tachibana-dera, which are not easy to access without a car. I wished I had a bit more time at Kitora Tomb. The food was delicious, and above all, the guide was fantastic. I would like to do this again. The driver also paid attention to various things every time we stopped, making it a fun day. I highly recommend it.

We arrived at Nanki-Shirahama Airport by plane, and were picked up at the airport. We were then taken on a taxi tour to the main sites of the Kumano Kodo. They stopped at recommended points for us and waited for us at the end of the paths we walked. My elderly mother was able to explore the Kumano Kodo with peace of mind. Nishinokyo is quite challenging to explore using public transportation due to time constraints. If you're considering renting a car and paying for parking, I definitely recommend this option where you can enjoy guided tours that include admission fees. However, be prepared to do quite a bit of walking. Other than that, the guide provides explanations, so you don't need to prepare in advance, and the optional bento for 1,000 yen is reasonably priced.

I used this tour to efficiently explore Nara.
Unlike Kyoto, Nara is more spread out, so when considering bus tours or renting a car, choosing this option was definitely the right decision. The tour ran from 10 AM to 5 PM, and the explanations from our knowledgeable guide were fantastic! Additionally, the driver and guide were very helpful with my friend who was feeling unwell.
I look forward to visiting Nara again in a different season.
