Accompanied by my 78-year-old parents, we embarked on our first trip from Atami to Izu Kogen and Shimoda. We aimed for the information center in front of Atami Station, wandering a bit in the First Building before finding it. The staff's response was warm, and we were off to the bus tour. To our surprise, it was fully booked, mostly with elderly people, and the guide was very experienced. We didn't have to walk much, the guide was entertaining, and the weather was great. It was the perfect start to our trip. This bus tour is affordable and highly recommended for first-time visitors to Atami.

Choosing the bus tour was definitely the right decision. It covered attractions that are far from the center of Nara, and the guide was organized and thorough, providing satisfaction beyond the cost. The beautiful Buddha statues and treasures were explained using photo materials on the bus beforehand, making it easier to understand and leaving a lasting impression. The guide's personality was also great—refreshing and friendly. They even helped us get goshuin (temple stamps) and took commemorative photos with my companions, providing excellent service. I have participated in various bus tours before, but if you're sightseeing in Nara, I highly recommend this tour. Meals are available for an additional fee (around 1000 yen) if requested in advance. There were a few places to eat during lunch time. The walking distance is quite considerable, and the schedule is tight, so it might be tough for those with mobility issues or lacking physical stamina to handle a full-day tour.

Especially, enjoying matcha while looking at the beautiful garden at Jiko-in brought me peace of mind. I would love to join again in a different season if I have the chance.

I stayed at Hanamaki Onsen and took the train to Tono, where I used a sightseeing taxi from Tono Station. Since we didn't have much time for our stay, I thought it would be tough to explore on our own, so we decided to use this tour.

In the end, it was a great decision to use the tour! The sightseeing spots are scattered, so without a car, I don't think we could have gone anywhere in just one hour. The driver was also a very nice person, and it was enjoyable to chat with him.

Although it was only an hour, it was a great tour that condensed the highlights. I would love to visit again and take my time.

花巻温泉に宿泊して遠野まで電車移動し、遠野駅から観光タクシーにお世話になりました。あまり滞在時間がなかったので自分たちで観光するのは厳しいかなと思い、こちらのツアーを利用しました。

I took the afternoon bus to the shrine. A little before getting on the bus, it started to drizzle, but by the time we arrived at Kinomiya Shrine, it was pouring. At Jukkoku Pass, everything was completely white and we couldn't see anything. Since Himenosawa Park was under construction, we went to Atami Plum Garden instead.

Each stop was brief, so if it had been sunny, we might have felt rushed and unable to enjoy the sights. However, since it was raining and there wasn't much to see, the short stay felt just right. The bus guide was very experienced and did a great job. Even though the rain wasn't the guide's fault, she apologized several times, which was kind of her. I would love to ride again on a sunny day if I get the chance.

午後のお宮号に乗車しました。
バスに乗る少し前から、ポツリポツリと雨が落ちてきましたが来宮神社着いたあたりでは本降り状態。十国峠は一面真っ白で何にも見えずでした。姫の沢公園は工事中と言う事で熱海梅園に行きました。
一つ一つの滞在時間が短いので晴れていたら時間に追われゆっくり見学出来ないかもしれませんが雨が降って見学も何も無い状態だったので短い滞在時間がちょうど良く感じました。
バスガイドさんはベテランさんでとても良かったです。
雨降りはバスガイドさんのせいでは無いのに、申し訳けないって何度も謝ってましたね〜

I participated alone. It's convenient that you can leave your luggage on the bus. The cute guide shared a wealth of detailed information. The temple is quite far from the train station, so the sightseeing bus is an efficient way to get around. The admission fee is included, so I think it's reasonably priced. It was a hot day, and the cold somen noodles included in the lunch I ordered were very thoughtful. Most participants were middle-aged, but the walking pace was just right, and everyone was able to gather on time. We arrived at the station as scheduled and were able to head home. The course was just the right content. If it had been sunny... If it had been sunny... But the guide was a super veteran, a three-star Michelin guide. Even though it was work, there were moments of genuine honesty, and the atmosphere on the bus was friendly and cheerful. Next time, I want to go when Mount Fuji is perfectly visible.

I participated on a weekday in June. Before the meeting time for the sightseeing bus, I strolled through Komachi Street, but it was already crowded, and I was sweating a lot.

As an adult, it was my first time sightseeing in Kamakura, and I joined a course that allowed us to visit five major shrines and temples with a guide. At Kamakura Shrine, I was able to listen to the priest's talk, which was very interesting.

At each location, there was about 30 minutes of free time. Depending on the place, it felt a bit short, but overall, I thought we were able to move at a good pace throughout the day.

This tour can be done without meals, but I thought it would be difficult to have lunch in the limited time. On the day I participated, everyone was on the meal-inclusive course.

The streets of Kamakura are narrow. The skills of the sightseeing bus driver were impressive.

鎌倉宮では、宮司さんのお話も聞くことができて、興味深かったです。

各所、約30分位の自由行動ありました。
場所によっては、短いと感じましたが、一日を通してみと

このツアーでは、「食事なし」にも出来るようですが、
限られた時間で昼食をとるのは大変だと思いました。

Previously, I visited Kamakura with my son and honestly felt overwhelmed by the crowds, wondering, "Why is it so crowded?" This time, I came with my mother in her late 70s and decided to take the bus without hesitation.

We had to line up to purchase admission tickets, wait to enter, and endlessly queue for meals and tea. Komachi Street was as crowded as Harajuku, but just not having that was a huge relief. However, if you want to take your time and really explore each site, it might feel a bit rushed. I found the stories from the priest at Kamakura Shrine to be quite interesting.

前に息子と鎌倉を回り、「なんでこんなに混んでるんだろう」と正直げんなりしてしまいました。今回は７０代後半の母と。迷わずバスにしました。

This was my first trip to Nara, and I wanted to see as many World Heritage sites as possible in the limited time I had, so I decided to participate. I don't think I could have visited as efficiently without joining the tour.

Last time I traveled to Nara around the same period, I unfortunately found this tour fully booked when I tried to make a reservation the day before, so this time I made sure to book early. Since I was staying in Nara city, I was picked up at the hotel lobby. The 6-hour course took my preferences into account, and I was taken to the Kitora Tomb, which really impressed my mother, who has difficulty walking. They also made sure to take the shortest route for my mother. Next time, I’m thinking of using this service towards Hōryū-ji. If we had taken the train by ourselves, we might have been exhausted and not able to enjoy the memories. Thank you to the driver for the wonderful memories.

I wanted to make the most of my short time in Atami before heading back, so I joined this tour! The bus guide was cheerful, and I was able to enjoy sightseeing in a fun way. There were moments when it felt a bit busy, but that also made me feel like I was using my time effectively, which was great! When I explore on my own, I tend to linger too long in one place. If you decide to join, comfortable walking shoes are a must! I also rode the cable car, and I felt that this tour was a great value for the price!

It had been since my middle school field trip that I visited Nara, and I was able to efficiently tour the famous sites. Although it was a cold February, there weren't too many tourists, allowing me to take my time exploring each location. The guide's explanations were thorough, detailed, and entertaining, which was fantastic. I ordered lunch for an additional fee, and the set included udon and persimmon leaf sushi, which was delicious, so I was glad I ordered it.

中学生の時の修学旅行以来の奈良でしたが、効率的に名所を観光することができました。2月の寒い時期でしたが、観光客がそれほど多くなくて、各所をゆっくりと見て回ることができました。ガイドさんの話が丁寧で詳しく、そして面白くて最高でした。別料金で昼食を注文しましたが、うどんや柿の葉寿司のついたセットで、美味しくて注文して良かったです。

It was a tour that efficiently covered famous spots outside of Nara Park. The temples we visited on this tour were places I had been to before, but the guide's extensive knowledge made every explanation very detailed and educational, which I really enjoyed. The additional information during the transfers was also excellent. The driver was safe, which was great.

The talk by the head priest while we enjoyed a cup of tea at Jiko-in was very interesting. The head priest's father also joined us, and we had the unique experience of the "Naruryu" that we wouldn't normally get to do.

I added the lunch option for 1,000 yen, and it was the right choice since we only had about 40 minutes for lunch. (The meal felt a bit on the bland side, so it might not be suitable for small children…)

奈良公園周辺以外の有名所を効率よく周ってくれるツアーでした。
このツアーで周る寺院は、以前に行ったことはあったのですが、ガイドさんの知識が豊富で、どの解説もとても詳しく勉強になり、楽しめました。
移動中の補足情報なども素晴らしかったです。
運転手の方も安全運転で良かったです。

慈光院での一服しながらの住職のお話はとてもおもしろかったです。
住職のお父様が出てきて下さり、普段はできない鳴龍体験もさせていただきました。

お昼はオプション1000円で付けましたが、昼食時間は40分程度しかなかったので、付けておいて正解でした。
(内容は少し渋めな気がしたので、小さいお子様などには向かない昼食かもしれません…)
