Had the best time on our tour. Our guide Ken was fabulous. He took us everywhere we wanted to go which included the Meiji Shrine, Sensoji Temple, and Shibuya crossing. When we departed our ship Ken was there to greet us. He and the driver were very professional. My only regret is that we didn't have more time before we had to go to the airport to catch our flight home.

I have always wanted to visit Shirakawa-go while living in Kanagawa Prefecture. By chance, I had the opportunity to stay in Kanazawa for one night, so I decided to do some sightseeing in Kanazawa on the first day. I learned that there was a day trip tour to Shirakawa-go from Kanazawa Station, and I decided to join it on the second day. I participated in a tour on the weekend after Golden Week. Since I went to the Expo, I decided to join a tour of Shiga, a place I don't often have the opportunity to visit. Although it was the weekend, there were only about 10 people in total.

We joined as a pair, but everyone else was Chinese... The driver mentioned that he couldn't provide guidance in Japanese, so we were given a printed sheet with explanations of the tourist spots.

【Disappointing Points】
- Not at the meeting time
→ The meeting place was used for various tours, and I asked around but couldn't find anyone. Since time had passed, I finally managed to connect by calling on my mobile. It would be helpful to have something like a card to make it clearer.

- If it's for foreigners, I wish that was clearly stated
→ The driver was fluent in Japanese, but he said he was called in at the last minute because there were Japanese participants. Since all the sightseeing spots were free to explore, it wasn't a problem, but it was a bit intimidating.

- All entrance fees were out of pocket
→ It's often included in the tour price, so that was disappointing.

→運転手さんは日本語堪能でしたが、日本人がいるので急遽呼ばれたと言っていました。
観光場所は全て自由行動だったので問題はありませんでしたが、気後れしました。。

・入場料が全て実費
→ツアー代に含まれている事が多いので残念でした。

【良かった点】
・なかなか自力で行けない場所ばかりだったので、効率よく回れて良かった。

・観光した場所は、全て良かった。美術品に景色やごはん等満喫した。フォトジェニックな場所も多い。

・予定より1時間早く終了したので、そのあとの時間に余裕ができた。

安全に催行されればそれでいいのですが、ツアーによって当たり外れが大きい気がしているので、今後は申し込む際に注意しようと思います。。

I was looking for tourist spots in Nagoya that I could visit before the night bus departure, and the timing and price were just right, so I decided to join as a solo participant. Since the weather forecast predicted rain, I checked in advance whether the open bus roof would close, and was told to assume that it would most likely remain open. So, I participated fully prepared with a raincoat and a plastic bag for my belongings. However, at the meeting point lounge, I was informed that due to the rain from the previous day, they planned to operate with the roof closed. The roof was indeed closed, but I was able to enjoy the cherry blossoms from the windows. Since it was a simple roof, there were occasional drips from the joints, but it wasn't bothersome. Other buses from different companies passed by with their roofs open, but it seemed that the passengers on those buses couldn't face forward due to the strong rain and wind. I enjoyed the cherry blossoms, and it was also fun to see the scenery from a different height on the highway than usual. I would like to ride again during cherry blossom season next year.

ですが、集合場所のラウンジで前日からの雨で屋根を閉めて運行する予定とのご案内。屋根は閉まっていますが、窓から桜が十分楽しめました。簡易屋根なので、時折金具の継ぎ目から雫が垂れて多少濡れましたが、気にならない程度です。すれ違った他社のバスは屋根が空いたままで運行していましたが、雨風が強く乗車されている方は前を向いていられないようでした。
桜も楽しめましたが、高速道路が普段とは違う高さからの景色を見れて楽しかったです。また来年も桜の季節に乗車したいと思います。

This was my first time visiting Takayama and Shirakawa-go. It was a one-day course departing from and returning to Nagoya. The tour guide and the bus driver were wonderful, making the journey comfortable both ways. Just before arrival, the tour guide wrote notes on a map and explained it to each group. The driver was always smiling and had a great vibe.

As for the sightseeing spots, I can say they are "a must-visit at least once in your life." Especially in Shirakawa-go, I recommend the "interior tours" at several houses. I visited Meizenji, and it was incredibly fascinating to see the depth of history and culture!

Shirakawa-go is definitely worth a visit. While exploring the town is nice, be sure to go up to the observation deck as well. It's a shame that I only had time to buy souvenirs in Takayama.

We had a lot of free time to spend in the villages. The guide and driver were both very experienced and well organized.

We loved the lunch in an traditional restaurant in a very small village. ( Only 9 houses).

We can highly recommend this trip!
