Unfortunately, the weather was not great, so I focused on the food. The Hida beef, gohei mochi, ramen, doburoku, and firm tofu were all delicious. While dining, I felt like there wasn't enough time in Takayama, so I think 2.5 hours in Takayama and 1.5 hours in Shirakawa-go would be better.

Also, the driver was speeding quite a bit, so it was nice to get back about an hour earlier than planned, but personally, I would prefer safer driving.

あいにくの天気だったので、気持ち的に食事メインにしましたが、
飛騨牛、五平餅、ラーメン、どぶろく、硬い豆腐・・・何を食べてもおいしい旅でした。
食事してたら、高山では時間が足らない感じだったので、
高山2.5時間、白川郷1.5時間でもよいと思いました。

なお、運転手さんが飛ばしまくったので、予定より１時間くらい早く帰れたのはよかったのですが、個人的には安全運転をお願いしたいです。

Yesterday was a scorching day at 33℃, but today it unfortunately rained. It was nice and cool, but by the time we arrived at Shirakawa-go, we were caught in quite a heavy downpour, and it was raining the hardest when we reached the observation deck.

As we walked down, the path turned into a river, and when the thunder started, we took shelter for 30 minutes under the eaves of the Wada House. With only 30 minutes left of our free time, the rain lightened, so we hurried to take a quick round, capturing the recommended photo spots, and somehow made it in time for our lunch gathering. ガイドさんは二人とも乗客の皆さんに気を使ってくれてとても良かったです。

There were two tours available for Takachiho Gorge, one of which included a meal, but I chose the other tour that also visits a shrine.

Honestly, I didn't expect to walk so much at Takachiho Gorge, but I enjoyed the various scenery, and it was fantastic.

Since I am elderly, I appreciated the guide's thoughtful considerations.

I was able to complete the walk without any issues.

The next day and the day after, I experienced some muscle soreness, but I was able to enjoy a bus trip that I can only do now.

We departed from Hakata Station early in the morning, toured Kumamoto and Miyazaki, and returned to Hakata Station by 6 PM. Due to the schedule, we had to catch a flight at 7 PM, and when I informed the guide about this, they reacted with a bit of concern. However, they prepared recovery plans just in case, and the driver also worked hard to save time. Miraculously, we completed everything on time without any traffic jams.

While the sightseeing spots were great, I believe it was a good value for the cost. However, I recommend not cramming too much into the itinerary for the later part of the day! (laughs)

工程的に19時に帰りの飛行機な乗らなければならず、そのことをガイドさんにお伝えしたら苦いリアクションをされましたが、もしもの際のリカバリー策などを準備いただき、ドライバーさんも時間短縮に尽力していただき、奇跡的に渋滞もなく時間どおりに完了できました。

観光場所が良いことは勿論ですが、コスパの良い内容だと思いますが、後工程はあまり詰め込まないことをオススメします笑

I was moved by the scenery of Takachiho on this tour, but what left the biggest impression on me was our female guide, Chen. She was bright, considerate towards everyone, and truly a wonderful guide.

I was the only Japanese participant. At the beginning, Chen approached me with a smile, saying, "Please feel free to ask anything," which made me feel at ease. Throughout the tour, she engaged with us, took photos, and provided explanations in Japanese. Whenever Chen spoke on the bus, laughter often erupted from the participants. The guide, Chuchu, was very accommodating, and I was able to enjoy myself. Since I collect goshuin (temple seals), I was pleased to receive the goshuin from Jōshikimi Kumanoza Shrine, Amano Iwato Shrine, and Takachiho Shrine. Out of the 32 participants, most were from China, with 3 Japanese and 2 Koreans, but we all had a great time on this little trip.

It was a place that was difficult to access, so I participated in a local tour. I have often used Veltra's local tours overseas, but this was my first time in Japan. I was a bit worried that the explanations would be only in Chinese, but I was very satisfied as the tour used both Chinese and Japanese equally. About 80% of the tour participants were foreign tourists, and as a minority Japanese family, we were a bit worried about feeling out of place. However, our guide, Mr. Kuroda, with his fluent English and Japanese, along with his calm and humorous talk, eased our concerns.

Shirakawa-go, our destination, was also crowded with foreign tourists, but thanks to the recommended hidden spots that Mr. Kuroda shared with us in advance, we were able to enjoy a leisurely tour and were very satisfied with the experience.

I participated in a solo trip as a Japanese traveler. The tour guide was Chinese and primarily spoke Chinese, but there were no particular issues. They always greeted us with a smile and actively offered to take photos without us having to ask, which created great memories of the trip. There was a significant delay due to traffic, and I was worried about the flight time, but they made sure to let me off first when we arrived. I participated alone this time, and I was the only Japanese person; there was one group from an English-speaking country, and the rest were participants of Chinese descent. The guide was truly amazing, accommodating all languages and providing proper attention to me as well. Everyone in the tour gathered earlier than the meeting time, which made everything smooth and enjoyable. It was great to be able to go around efficiently.

今回1人で参加しましたが、日本人は私だけ、英語圏の方が1組、それ以外は中国系の方が参加されていたツアーでした。
ガイドさんが本当に凄くて、全ての言語に対応して、1人の私にもきちんと対応してくださいました。
