Despite the light rain, I was thrilled to visit Nara for the first time. The pagodas and temple complexes of Hōryū-ji, Yakushi-ji, and Tōshōdai-ji had a charming atmosphere as they were wet from the rain, and the national treasure statues were amazing. I wished I could have spent half a day relaxing in the garden viewed from the tea room at Jikō-in if I had more time.

あいにくの小雨でしたが初めての奈良に感激です。法隆寺•薬師寺•唐招提寺の塔と伽藍が小雨にぬれた趣のある雰囲気、国宝の仏像が最高でした。慈光院の茶室から眺める庭園は時間があれば半日でもゆっくりしたかったな。

It had been several decades since I last visited Nara. I had planned to explore on my own by obtaining a sightseeing map in advance, but since I only had one day, I decided to use a bus tour. I was determined not to miss any of the guide's extensive explanations. We efficiently visited famous temples, and the historical stories and backgrounds were explained in a way that kept me engaged throughout. I'm glad I participated in this tour. Thank you very much. Next time, I would like to take my time exploring the attractions I haven't visited yet.

奈良観光は数十年ぶりでした。
事前に観光マップを取り寄せ自力での観光を考えていましたが、
限られた1日でしたのでバスツアーを利用してみることにしました。
ガイドさんの幅広い説明を聞き漏らすまいと必死でした。
有名なお寺を効率良く回り歴史的な話、背景を飽きることなく説明してくださりこのツアーに参加して正解でした。
ありがとうございました。
次回はまだ訪れていない名所などじっくりと回りたいと思っています。

I toured Tono using a rental car, visiting places like the Denshōen and Kojin Shrine, but there were so many attractions that I lacked confidence in navigating without local knowledge within a limited time. I also felt I wouldn't be able to enjoy the scenery at a leisurely pace, so I decided to use a sightseeing taxi.

As a result, I was extremely satisfied. The course included the Five Hundred Arhats, which has a possibility of bear sightings and involves considerable distance for climbing up and down, so they removed that from the itinerary. Instead, they added Furusato Village and Jūtankei to the course.

Even though it was during the Golden Week, we set off at 10 AM, which meant it was relatively uncrowded, allowing us to explore the scenic spots at a relaxed pace. Here are the places we visited and the approximate time spent at each:

Tono Hachiman 20 minutes - Fukusenji 20 minutes - Furusato Village 50 minutes - Hayachine Shrine 20 minutes - Jūtankei 20 minutes - Usudori Shrine, Atago Shrine 20 minutes.

It was 3.5 hours in total, but excluding travel time, we were able to enjoy sightseeing for about 2.5 hours. During the travel, we admired the beautiful fresh green scenery and the driver shared interesting points about Tono, so there was never a dull moment. A 2-hour plan would only allow for a quick trip to Furusato Village and back, so choosing the 3.5-hour plan was definitely the right decision.

The driver was friendly and very kind. He drove safely and casually informed us about the attractions at each stop, which helped us relax. This became one of my wonderful memories of Tono.

On sunny days, it's better to have a hat. Also, since you'll be going up and down the approach, comfortable shoes like sneakers are essential.

遠野観光はレンタカーで市街地に近い伝承園や荒神神社を巡りましたが、他については見どころが沢山あり、土地勘がなく限られた時間内で巡れる自信がなく、また、ゆっくり景色を眺められなさそうだったので観光タクシーを利用しました。

結果、大満足でした。コースに含まれる五百羅漢は熊が出没する可能性があり、登り下りで距離があるため外して頂き、代わりにふるさと村と重湍渓をコースに加えて頂きました。

GW期間中でしたが10時出発にしたため、比較的混雑せず、ゆっくり名勝を巡りました。立ち寄った場所と大凡の時間です。

遠野八幡 20分〜福泉寺 20分〜ふるさと村 50分〜早池峰神社 20分〜重湍渓 20分〜卯子酉神社、愛宕神社 20分

3.5時間でしたが移動を除いて2.5時間はゆっくり観光出来ました。また移動中も美しい新緑の風景を愛でつつ、運転手さんに遠野の見所を聞かせて頂き、退屈する事は皆無でした。2時間程度だとふるさと村に行って帰ってくるくらいの時間なので、3.5時間プランにして正解でした。

運転手さんは気さくでとても優しい方でした。安全運転で行く先々でさりげなく見所についても教えてくださり、リラックス出来ました。遠野の良い思い出の一つになりました。

天気の良い日は帽子があった方が良いです。
また参道を上り下りするのでスニーカーなど歩きやすい靴は必須です。

Since it was the first day of the holiday, I thought it would be crowded, but it wasn't at all, and I was able to take my time, which was great. The weather was nice, and the guide's explanations were thorough—an excellent sightseeing experience!

連休の初日なので混雑しているかと思っていましたが、そんなこともなくゆっくりと回れたので良かったです。天気も良く、ガイドさんの説明も丁寧で言う事なし！な観光でした。

Above all, the bus guide was knowledgeable and great. It had been over thirty years since my last visit to Nara, but I was captivated by the efficient and witty explanations about the places to see. I could really feel that Japan's bus tours have evolved.

何よりもバスガイドさんが博識で良かった。三〇十数年ぶりの奈良だったが、見るべきところを、要領良く、しかもピリリとウィットを効かせた解説に、思わず聞き入ってしまった。日本のバスツアーも進化していることが実感できた。

I was able to visit at a good pace without feeling rushed. There were quite a few students due to the revival of school trips. The guide's quick thinking was demonstrated in many situations, which helped us avoid any issues. Even when I had sudden questions for the guide, they kindly shared a lot of knowledge.

However, regarding lunch... I didn't have high expectations since it's typical for tours to include a stop at a souvenir shop, but I did forget about my husband's dish (a small omelet). It's not a big deal, and the souvenir shop likely makes a lot of them.

As a suggestion, it would be nice to have the option of a lunch course provided by the traditional souvenir shops, as well as a paid option for a famous Nara lunch. Since I finally visited the longed-for Nara, I would love to enjoy a delicious lunch. This was just a foodie’s opinion, but the sightseeing course was absolutely perfect.

効率よくかつ慌しくもなく、ゆっくり拝観できました。修学旅行の復活でかなりの生徒さん達。ガイドさんの機転が沢山の場面で発揮。遭遇しなくて済みました。ガイドさんに咄嗟の質問でも、丁寧にかなりの知識を教えて頂いた。
ただ昼食は・・ツアーでのお土産さんとの抱き合わせは、こんなものだなぁ〜と、期待はしていませんが夫の料理に（小さな卵焼き）忘れてましたよ。
大した事でもないし、お土産屋さんも大量に作るので・・

要望としては、従来のお土産物屋さんが提供してくれるランチコースと、追加料金ありの奈良の名物ランチが選べると良いな。
折角、憧れの奈良に行ったのだから美味しいランチ食べたいですね。
食いしん坊の意見でしたが、観光コースは大正解でした。

I used a sightseeing taxi for the first time. I was drawn to the reviews of Hattori Taxi and took the 6-hour Asuka exploration course, where they guided me to almost all the attractions as I requested and provided explanations. They were very attentive and approached the service from the user's perspective. On the second day, I used the same guide for the Ikaruga exploration. I was grateful that we were taken to the restaurant I specified for lunch. I could specify both the pickup and drop-off locations, and they took care of my heavy luggage, allowing my wife and me to enjoy a comfortable sightseeing experience. Thank you very much.

観光タクシーを初めて利用。服部タクシーの口コミに目がとまり飛鳥散策の6時間コースにて要望通りほぼ全ての見所を案内して説明していただきました。とても丁寧で利用者目線に立って対応していただきました。二日目も同じ方の案内で斑鳩散策を利用。ランチも指定したお店に行っていただき、ありがたく思いました。こちらの指定したお迎え先や送り先を指定でき、重い荷物も車に預かって快適な観光を家内と楽しく過ごせました。ありがとうございました。

I reserved a sightseeing taxi for the first time to explore Asuka. I had a great time with the guidance and sightseeing explanations during my first tour. I felt reassured for my next exploration of Ikaruga with Driver Maruyama!

飛鳥散策の為、観光タクシーを初めて予約。案内や観光説明など初めての観光を楽しく過ごさせていただきました。次の斑鳩散策も丸山運転手で安心しました♪

The destination is accessible by a local bus, but the frequency is limited, making it inefficient to get around. If it's crowded, you should be prepared to stand.

In that regard, a sightseeing bus allows you to travel efficiently without worries, and you are guaranteed a seat. Additionally, you can listen to the excellent explanations from the guide. They answered detailed questions accurately, allowing me to gain new knowledge.

I thought the cost performance was outstanding, as the price includes transportation, the guide fee, entrance fees, lunch, and tea.

All parts of the itinerary were enjoyable and educational. Personally, I appreciated the talk about tea knowledge from the head priest of Jiko-in.

行くところは路線バスも通っているところですが、本数も限られているので効率的に回れません。混んでいたら立つことも覚悟しないといけません。
その点、観光バスなら気にせず効率的に、しかも座席確定で連れて行ってくれます。
また、ガイドさんの秀逸な説明を聴けます。細かな質問も的確に答えていただき、新たな知識を得ることもできました。
移動代＋ガイドさん代＋入場料＋昼食代＋お茶代がセットでこの価格はコストパフォーマンスも抜群と思いました。

全ての行程が楽しく、勉強になりました。個人的には慈光院のご住職の茶の心得の講話が良かったです。

We went on a 2-night, 3-day trip to Nara from Ibaraki Prefecture. We are a couple approaching late senior age. The main attraction was the cherry blossoms at Yoshinoyama. We had planned this trip in 2019, but it was canceled due to COVID-19. We really wanted to go, but after five years, we had lost confidence in our ability to walk, and we were about to give up when we discovered the taxi tour advertisement from Veltra and quickly made a reservation.

On the first day, we were guided to Todai-ji and Kasuga-taisha. There are roads where only taxis and commercial vehicles are allowed, and regular cars cannot enter. We smoothly ascended steep slopes and were able to visit Nigatsu-do, which we thought might be impossible. Our driver provided excellent guidance, sharing rich knowledge and interesting stories that you wouldn't find in online resources or guidebooks, which was very educational. They were also great at entertaining us as a couple, and we were able to enjoy a fun tour of most of the vast Todai-ji and Kasuga-taisha in just three hours.

On the second day, we toured Yoshinoyama, and the support was meticulous, allowing us to walk very little, making it accessible even for seniors. A somewhat miraculous event occurred at Kinpusen-ji, which was moving. Perhaps it was due to our driver's efforts. This is what they mean by "going above and beyond." If there was a little extra time, they would take us anywhere based on our requests and also recommend temples and shrines. They made excellent use of our time, with no waste. They also considered parking fees, ensuring we incurred almost none.

On the third day, they adjusted the schedule to fit our return time and took us to a wonderful temple that is hard to reach by train or bus but still worth visiting. The explanations were exquisite, and I found myself wanting to visit all the temples and shrines in Nara. I absolutely want to go again while I'm still alive. My impression of Nara has changed. 茨城県から2泊3日の奈良観光に行きました。後期高齢者間近の夫婦です。メインは吉野山の一目千本桜です。2019年に計画したのですが、コロナで中止になり、どうしても行きたかったのですが、あれから5年も経ち、今回は年齢も進んで、歩くことに夫婦共に自信が無くなり諦めかけている処に、ベルトラさんのタクシー観光の広告を発見し早速申し込みました。1日目は、東大寺と春日大社を案内していただいたのですが、タクシーや商用車のみが許されていて一般車両は入れない道路などが有り、急な坂もスイスイと上り、拝観したかったが無理かもしれないと思っていた二月堂にも参拝できて、その上ドライバーさんの案内がこれ又、ちゃんと付いてきてくれて、知識も豊富でネットや観光本に書いてないような、話も面白くしてくれてとても勉強になりました。夫婦の楽しませ方も上手で、3時間であの広大な東大寺と春日大社の殆どをとても楽しく回る事が出来ました。2日目は吉野山の観光ですが、ポイントも然り、サポートが細かくて、歩くことも少なく高齢者でも充分に行く事が出来ます。金峯山寺ではチョット奇跡的なことが起こり、感激しました。ドライバーさんの功徳かも。至れり尽くせりとはこんな事言うのでしょうか。時間が少し余れば、こちらの要望に応じてどこにでも行ってくれますし、お勧めのお寺や神社なども教えてくれます。凄く時間を有効に活用してくれます。無駄がありません。駐車料金も殆どかからないように考えてくれています。3日目は帰りの時間に合わせてくれて、中々電車やバスでは中々行けないような、それでも行きたい素晴らしいお寺にも連れていってくれて、その説明が又絶妙で、もう、奈良中のお寺や神社回りたくなってしまいました。生きている内に絶対に又行きたいと思いました。奈良の印象が変わりました。服部タクシーのMドライバーさん、その時はよろしくお願いします。

It was a wonderful day visiting the historic temples of Nara, such as Hōryū-ji, Chūgū-ji, Jikō-in, Yakushi-ji, and Tōshōdai-ji, at a leisurely pace. The bus guide and driver were both experienced and provided attentive service, for which I am grateful. Although I usually lack exercise, I walked over 15,000 steps for the first time in a while and was satisfied with the pleasant weather. Compared to Kyoto, there were fewer tourists, allowing for a more tranquil experience in this ancient capital.

法隆寺、中宮寺、慈光院、薬師寺、唐招提寺等の、歴史のある奈良の寺を、ゆったりと観光訪問でき、よい一日でした。バスガイドさん、運転手さんも、ベテランで、丁寧に接遇よく対応していただき、感謝しています。日頃は運動不足気味ですが、久々に１５０００歩以上を歩き、天候にも恵まれ満足しています。京都に比べ、観光客も少なく、落ち着いた古都の観光ができました。

The service attitude of the drivers and guides was very good. It's been a long time since my school trip to Nara, and I was satisfied to be able to carefully appreciate the Buddha statues and other sights. Thank you very much.

I departed from Kintetsu Nara Station at 10:00. At Horyu-ji, Yakushi-ji, and Toshodai-ji, I recalled my history lessons from school. At Jiko-in, I enjoyed delicious tea sweets and matcha. The bus guide had deep and rich knowledge, making for a fun time. The balance of explanations and free observation time was just right, and the guidance was also polite. It felt like a school trip for middle-aged and older adults once again.

近鉄奈良駅を10:00に出発しました。法隆寺、薬師寺、唐招提寺では学校の歴史の授業を思い出しました。慈光院ではお茶菓子と抹茶を美味しく頂きました。バスガイドさんの知識が深く豊富で楽しい時間でした。説明と自由参観の時間配分が程よく、案内、誘導も丁寧でした。中高年の再びの修学旅行？のようでした。

I don't think I could have explored everything on my own, but the guide's thorough explanations during the temple tour, along with the talk from the head priest of Jiko-in and the tea hospitality, made for wonderful memories of my trip to Nara. It was a thoroughly satisfying day.

個人で回りきれないと思いますがガイドさんの丁寧な説明でのお寺巡りと慈光院の住職のお話とお茶のもてなしも奈良の旅の思い出になり充分に満足のいく1日でした。

The drivers and guides from Nara Kotsu were very kind and gentle, always offering a helping hand when getting on and off the bus. Their explanations of the tourist spots were easy to understand, and they answered all my questions cheerfully. When it started to rain, they even lent us umbrellas, and although the weather wasn't terrible, we had a great time. Since it was out of season, there were only a few people on the large bus. Despite the heavy rain and poor visibility at Wakakusa Mountain, the guide was very enthusiastic in their explanations, and I felt their warm personality, which made me happy. I definitely want to try another course next time.

奈良交通のドライバーさん、ガイドさん、とても親切で優しく、乗り降りするたびにお声かけくれます。観光地の説明もわかりやすく、いろいろご質問しても明るくお答えくれます。途中で雨が降り出したら傘も貸してくださり、決して荒天ではなかったものの楽しく過ごせました。季節外れということもあり、大きなバスに少人数でした。雨ザーザーで、人も少なく視界の悪い若草山となりましたが、そんな中でもガイドさんがとても熱心に説明してくださり、お人柄を感じて嬉しくなりました。次回はぜひ他のコースに乗りたいです。

The tour of Hōryū-ji and Tōshōdai-ji was so great that I decided to join this tour as well. I was able to comfortably sightsee by bus in places that would be difficult to visit without renting a car. What I appreciated was that there was ample time for each visit, allowing us to shop for souvenirs. Additionally, we were able to enjoy local specialties for lunch in Nara.

Touring by bus is truly convenient and fulfilling, so I would love to participate in tours not only in Nara but also in other places!

　法隆寺や唐招提寺のツアーがとてもよかったので，今回のツアーにも参加しました。レンタカーを借りないと巡れないようなところを，バスで安心して観光することができました。よかったのは，一つ一つの見学時間にゆとりがあり，おみやげを買う時間をとることができたこと。また，昼食に奈良の名物を食べることができました。
　観光バスツアーは本当に楽で充実しているので，奈良だけではなく他の場所でも，ぜひ参加したいです！

Due to the course setting, it may be unavoidable, but Hōryū-ji was detailed, while Yakushi-ji and Tōshōdaiji felt a bit rushed. The second half was somewhat unsatisfactory. I wished we had more time for Yakushi-ji and Tōshōdaiji by starting earlier.

コ-ス設定上、止むを得ないかもしれないが、法隆寺は詳しく、薬師寺と唐招提寺はやや急ぎ気味だった。後半はやや消化不良気味に。出発を早め薬師寺と唐招提寺はもう少し時間が欲しかった。

I thought it would be cold during my trip in February, but the weather was nice and warm. With fewer tourists in February, I felt it was the perfect season to experience the charm of the old capital, Nara.

冬の2月の旅寒いかと思いましたが、天候が良く暖かかったです。2月は観光客が少なく、古き良き奈良の都を感じるのに最適なシーズンかなとも思いました。

The guide was amazing! Although she was petite, she skillfully mixed in refined humor (I’ll skip the details to avoid spoilers) and explained the features and key points of the sights in a very easy-to-understand manner. I had visited Hōryū-ji and Chūgū-ji several times in the past, but this time, going with a guide was definitely the right choice. The bus was full, but she managed to organize the large group of passengers, leading us patiently and explaining the key points clearly. The tour I participated in was only in the morning, but I wished I had opted for a full-day program with her. I am grateful to her!

ガイドさんが最高！　小柄な方だが、品の良いユーモアを織り混ぜながら（ネタバレになるので省略しますが）とても分かり易く、拝観対象の特徴や要点を説明して呉れた。　法隆寺も中宮寺も過去に数回訪れていたが、今回、ガイドつきで回ったのが大正解だった。　バスは満席だったが、その大勢の乗客をまとめ上げ、忍耐強く引率し、分かり易く要点を説明する姿は見事。　参加したのは午前中だくのツアーだったが、このガイドさんなら終日のプログラムにすれば良かったと思った。　彼女に感謝！

The bus was clean. It was a pity there was no USB power. The bus guide was very easy to listen to. There was an umbrella rental service. I was able to check in my suitcase.

バスが綺麗だった。USB電源がなかったのは残念。バスガイドさんは、とても聴きやすかった。傘貸出サービスがあった。スーツケースを預けられた。

It was very educational to revisit the birthplace of Japanese Buddhism. In particular, it was great to be able to take my time and see everything at Hōryū-ji.

日本仏教の始りのの地を改めて訪れ大変勉強になりました。
特に法隆寺は全てをゆっくり見ることが出来良かったです。

I time-traveled to ancient times and then to the Middle Ages, becoming aware of the formation of Japan. It was a lot of fun visiting temples associated with Prince Shotoku.

古代ににタイムスリップその後、中世へと日本の成り立ちを意識し、聖徳太子ゆかりの寺など大変楽しかったです。

It was a visit to Hōryū-ji on a very cold day, but the beauty of the blue sky and the dignified presence of the temple made it a valuable experience. Thanks to the knowledgeable guide's explanations, it became a memorable experience.

大変寒い日の法隆寺参拝でしたが、青空の美しさと凜とした寺の佇まいが相まって貴重な参拝になりました。

It goes without saying, but I was impressed by how smoothly they spoke without looking at any notes. The driver also greeted us with a microphone before departure, and I could feel their spirit of hospitality.

当たり前のことですが、一切カンペを見ることなく、澱みなく話す姿に感服しました。ドライバーさんも出発前にマイクを持って挨拶してくださり、おもてなしの心を感じることができました。

I received very kind service. Since it’s a small taxi company, both the drivers and operators had a friendly atmosphere. They occasionally spoke in Tosa dialect, which allowed me to enjoy the experience of being guided by a local.

I was more than satisfied beyond my expectations. The guide's wonderful explanations and efficient guidance, along with the driver's thoughtfulness and kindness, made me feel the warmth of the best qualities of Japanese people that I haven't seen recently. The course content was probably the best in Nara. I have become hooked on bus tours. Thank you very much.

The driver assigned to us was a woman, and she showed thoughtful consideration in many ways. Even on a weekday, Kamakura was crowded, but we were able to navigate efficiently.

It was my first time visiting Nara in a while. The bus tour was indeed convenient. The guide was entertaining and knowledgeable, which helped me understand the history of each site. It was a bit cold, so I was happy to have warm udon for lunch. At Jiko-in, I enjoyed some rakugan and matcha while listening to the lively stories from the head priest, which was fun. Collecting goshuin is my hobby, and I was very grateful that the guide collected everyone's goshuin for us, so we didn't have to wait in line. I look forward to using this service again on my next visit to Nara.

久しぶりの奈良観光です。バスツアーはやはり、便利ですね。ガイドさんが面白く、知識も豊富で、各所の歴史が理解出来ました。少し寒かったので、お昼に温かいおうどんが出たのは嬉しかったです。慈光院では、落雁とお抹茶を頂きながら、ご住職の軽快なお話も聴くことが出来、楽しかったです。御朱印を集めるのが趣味ですが、ガイドさんが皆さんの御朱印を、まとめて受け取って下さり、並ぶこともなく大変有り難かったです。また次回も、奈良観光の際にはお世話になります。

I think they tried to finish within the reserved time, as they drove at quite a speed towards the destination. Their attitude and explanations were not bad, but I believe it's not good to make passengers feel anxious. On the way back, we had extra time, and we were able to stop at places that weren't planned, and the speed was normal.

予約時間内に終わらせようと思ったのか、一般道をかなりのスピードで目的地に向かいました。態度や説明は悪くはありませんでしたが、乗客に不安を感じさせるのは良くないと思います。帰りは時間が余って、予定になかったところにも寄れましたし、スピードは普通になっていました。
