There was a large aquarium where whale sharks and rays swam gracefully. I think it would be the perfect spot for couples to enjoy while having coffee. There was also a dolphin show, which I watched with the theme of an autumn sports festival. The dolphins jumped skillfully multiple times and were adorable. It would have been even more enjoyable if they had a few more tricks besides jumping. Also, it was disappointing that I went after the prices had increased again.

You can enjoy wonderful entertainment and activities in nature at the same time.

All of this made the grilled squid and beer purchased from the selling boat at the end absolutely delicious! The flavors change with each season and water level, so I want to go again.

I entered with two friends and two first graders. Although I had seen it in photos, the actual space and the exciting feeling exceeded my imagination from the pictures, and both adults and children were thrilled. For adults, it was a satisfying escape from daily life, a healing space that stimulated all five senses. There were plenty of clever ideas to keep the children entertained as well. It’s not just a space for Instagram-worthy photos; everything has a concept, which I think is why it’s appreciated not only domestically but also internationally. It's a place I would like to visit again.

友人2名、小学校一年生2名と入場しました。
写真では観ていたものの、実際は写真で想像する以上の空間とわくわくした感覚が待っていて、大人も子供も大はしゃぎでした。
大人にとっても日常を離れた、五感をくすぐられる癒しの空間で大満足です。

The night view was beautiful.
The way to form the line for purchasing the outbound ticket felt a bit off. It looked like a line for those already holding tickets to ride the ropeway. The staff seemed confused, perhaps because there aren't many examples of voucher exchanges.
The outbound and return ropeway and mini cable car operate at 15-minute intervals at the same time, leading to a lot of waiting time. (I think this is to encourage purchases at the shop along the way.)
The rooftop was windy and a bit chilly. I heard that if you take something out from the shop, you can view it indoors, but there was no guidance when I bought soft serve ice cream at the shop, so I ended up eating it on the rooftop. I regretted that later.
Overall, the night view is fantastic, but the operation of other facilities is lacking. I'm sharing this in advance so that those who go next won't feel frustrated.

総じて、夜景はすごくいいけれど、その他の施設オペレーションがお粗末。次に行かれる方がいらいらしないように前もってお知らせしておきます。

I was so excited to see the whale shark up close! Its white polka dots and round eyes were adorable! They brought us so close that it felt like we could be sucked into its big mouth, and I had a great time seeing all the fish swimming alongside it!

The instructors were very cheerful, chatting with each other and with us, allowing us to experience the lively atmosphere of Okinawa.

They observed how we used the tanks and our swimming in the water, allowing us to swim freely and have fun! For those who were nervous, they guided us by holding our hands until the end, so I think even those who are not good at swimming can feel at ease!

I definitely want everyone to see a big whale shark at least once! Thank you for the amazing experience! ♪

I took the jet foil from Nagasaki Port to Fukue Port, and for the return trip, I boarded the ferry. Since it was a long journey, I was worried about seasickness, but I didn't feel sick at all on the way there, so I was able to board with peace of mind, thinking that I would be fine on the way back as well. The large ship had a spacious interior where I could lie down comfortably, and there were blankets and pillows available. Most importantly, there were very few people, which made it pleasant. I was able to relax, watch TV, and sleep. Although it took longer than the jet foil, the fare was cheaper, and I enjoyed the leisurely experience.

The boat trip from Nagasaki Port to Fukue Port takes about an hour and a half. I tend to get seasick easily, and I was quite worried about the rocking of the boat, so I took some motion sickness medication about 30 minutes before departure. However, the waves were calm, and there was no significant rocking, so I was completely fine. I almost fell asleep, and before I knew it, we arrived at Fukue Port, so I must have been able to relax. I printed the voucher at home and brought it with me on the day of the reservation. I arrived by car around 11:30 for my 12:00 reservation. Parking is free.

I submitted the voucher at the reception on the second floor and filled out a separate sheet with my address and name. At that time, I received a reception number and sat on a bench in the back. When my number was called, I boarded the boat in order.

In August, the sunlight was strong, but I appreciated that the boat had a green roof. (This might reduce the feeling of openness a bit.)

The boatmen's talks were entertaining, and the river ride itself was enjoyable. Since it was summer, I think it would have been even better if we could have gotten a bit wetter or had more thrills.

On the way back, I walked around Arashiyama and took the train home. (Since trains are infrequent, it might be good to check the schedule in advance.) Overall, it became a great memory!

船頭さんたちのトークは面白く、川下り自体も楽しかったです。夏だったのでもう少し水に濡れたり、スリルがあると一層良かったと思います。

帰りは嵐山を歩き、電車で帰りました。

I went to the Old Naval Headquarters Bunker, the Himeyuri Monument, the Peace Memorial Park, and Okinawa World on a 7-hour tour. I arrived about 30 minutes before my reservation and checked in, and I was able to depart right away with a group. If you need time to go to the restroom or buy drinks, I think it's better to do that before checking in so you don't feel rushed.

It was enjoyable to listen to the explanations while watching the boatman row diligently and steer with the pole. I'm glad I could safely connect with nature while going down the river.

I visited the Goto Islands for the first time in my life. Due to time constraints, I only went to Fukue Island, but it turned out to be a very memorable trip. The rustic atmosphere of Myojo-in and the magnificence of the ceiling paintings, along with the connections to Daibouji later on, and the traces of Kobo Daishi (including legends) found throughout the island, evoke an interest in ancient history, especially since this island was the last place the envoys to Tang China departed from Japan (it seems the Satsuma route was mainly used for their return). The history of Christianity represented by churches like Dozaki Church and Imojira Lourdes Church is also significant. During this trip, I was shocked to learn in detail about the history of the hidden Christians during the prohibition period and the resurgence of Christians during the late Edo and Meiji periods at the Christian Museum attached to the Oura Cathedral. I realized that the history of Christianity is an essential element in understanding the history of the Japanese spirit and thought.

However, the most significant impression of Fukue Island is the traces of its volcanic origins. The lava coast of Abunase, the Osezaki Lighthouse, and the cliffs of Gyoran Kannon vividly convey the volcanic activity of the past, particularly how the magma that erupted flowed into the sea. The heat of the foot bath at Arakawa Onsen is likely a remnant of that. There are probably traces of a caldera in the sea as well. Above all, I cannot forget the beauty of the emerald-colored sea surface reflecting the sunlight on a clear day.

Finally, I highly recommend tasting Goto udon. I had it at a moray eel restaurant called "Pandora" near Osezaki, and the unique texture, which is like a cross between udon and somen, was wonderful! The deliciousness of the dashi broth made from flying fish is also noteworthy.

Fukue Island, my first visit, was a wonderful place. Next time, I would like to visit the other islands as well.

　生まれて初めて五島列島を訪れました。時間の関係もあり福江島だけになりましたがたいへん印象深い旅となりました。福江島でとくに強い印象を受けたのが自然の多様さ、その多様さに溶け込んでいる島の生活や歴史の奥深さでした。鬼岳のまるで若草山のような草原の広がりと山の形の愛らしさ、展望台から見た福江島の海と山の眺め、とくに北側の上五島にかけての島々の絵巻のような景色は忘れられません。明星院境内の質朴な風情と天井絵のすばらしさ、後の大宝寺ともつながりますが島の至る所にある空海弘法大師の足跡（伝説も含むのでしょうが）は、この島が遣唐使が日本を離れる最後の場所（三井楽）だったこと（帰国の際は薩摩ルートが主だったようですね）と併せ古代の歴史への関心を惹起せずにはおきません。また堂崎教会、井持浦ルルド教会に代表されるキリシタンの歴史も大切ですね。今回の旅で禁教期のかくれキリシタンおよび幕末明治の潜伏キリシタンの再登場の歴史をはじめて詳細に大浦天主堂付設キリシタン博物館で知り衝撃を受けました。日本人の精神・思想の歴史を捉え返すうえでキリシタンの歴史は不可欠な要素であることを痛感しました。
　ただやはり福江島の印象として最も大きいのは、五島列島が火山運動の結果できた土地であることの痕跡です。鐙瀬溶岩海岸と大瀬崎灯台および魚籃観音の断崖地形は、かつての火山運動、特に噴火したマグマが海へと流れだすことによって作り出されたことをまざまざと感じさせました。荒川温泉の足湯の熱さもその名残なりのでしょう。おそらく海にはカルデラの痕跡も残っているはずですね。それと何といっても晴れた日の太陽光線の反射を受けたエメラルド色の海面の美しさが忘れられません。
　最後に五島うどんのおいしさはぜひ味わってほしいと思います。大瀬崎の近くのウツボ料理「パンドラ」で食べたのですが、うどんとそうめんの中間のような独特の食感がすばらしかった！それとアゴだしのつゆのおいしさも特筆すべきです。
　生まれて初めての福江島、すばらしいところでした。今度は他の島々も訪ねてみたいと思います。

The staff at the shop didn't seem to fully understand the reservations from VELTRA, so they noted down the voucher number and collected the printed voucher just to be safe, but they exchanged the tickets without any issues.

However, this shop is currently only open from 9:30 AM due to the pandemic, so it may not be suitable for those who want to go early in the morning when it's less crowded. Discount tickets for the Churaumi Aquarium are sold at various souvenir shops and rental car companies throughout Okinawa, so if you want to enter early the next morning, you might consider purchasing them somewhere after arriving in Okinawa.

Personally, I felt reassured by the fact that they would refund if I didn't use it, and I was glad to be able to use VELTRA points for the purchase. The highlight, of course, was the whale shark. It was my first time seeing one, and I was quite moved.

美ら海水族館の館外での割引チケット自体は、沖縄内のお土産ショップやレンタカー屋さんなどいたるところで売っているので、翌日の朝一に入館したい場合は、沖縄についてからどこかで購入してもよいかと思います。
個人的には、使用しなければ返金してくれるという点で安心だったのとVELTRAのポイントを使えたという点で、購入してよかったです。
やはり目玉はジンベイザメですね。初めて見たのでちょっと感動でした。

My daughter loves Sumikko Gurashi, so we went there. The ticket booth at Tokyo Skytree wasn't crowded, but there was a line at the Sumida Aquarium's ticket booth, so we were lucky to have our tickets in advance and were able to enter smoothly without waiting. The Sumida Aquarium is small but interesting. The jellyfish exhibit was particularly amazing. The penguin family tree made me chuckle. I hope everyone gets to see it.
